Friday, June 22, 2018 (S56E59): Who’s There?

Jason is at work, as a janitor at Ferncliff; the guard has him open the door, for him to take lunch trays in.  Carly dumps all three trays, ‘trying’ to take one; the guard gets mad and tells Jason to clean it up, pushing his mop in the door.  Jason closes the door, and Carly smiles.  Jason compliments her on making Rupert drop the trays, but tells her not to do it again.  He says she needs to be a model prisoner; Carly says she can’t stand Mary Pat calling her Caroline, and reminding her that Morgan is dead; she says she wants to slap her across the face.  Jason tells her that woman has it out for her; Carly wonders why.  He tells her to just wait it out; she says she will do her best.  Rupert comes back and asks if he’s done; Jason says yes.  Carly asks for her dinner; Rupert tells her she isn’t going to eat until the next mean, since she dropped her tray.

Mike asks Sonny if he knew Charlie; Sonny says he never stepped foot in this place until Julian bought it.  Sonny thinks Mike might be mistaken, but Mike insists he knows that man.  Mike gets upset and Sonny tries to calm him; Margo (the D.A.) walks in the door and asks if there is a problem.  Sonny tells her this is his father and says she can leave them alone; she asks Mike if he’s okay, and Mike says yes.  He says they were discussing when Sonny got “into the business.”  She asks if he means coffee; Sonny sends his dad to get more coffee and tells Margo to stay out of his business and leave his dad alone.  She tells him he doesn’t want her for an enemy; he says there is probably no avoiding that.  She says, “then let the games begin” and leaves.  Sonny calls Max and asks him to look into a guy named Charlie Delaney, who used to live around there.

Sam and Curtis think Peter is hiding somewhere in Port Charles, and somebody is helping him.  Sam recalls how Julian switched places with Peter; she thinks it was part of Valentin’s plan.  She thinks he also gave Peter his cell phone, but says something went wrong; between going to the hotel and the jet, Peter disappeared.  They wonder who else might be helping Peter; they decide to go search Peter’s hotel room again.  Nina comes back to her office, to find “Morocco.”  Valentin welcomes her; he says they can’t live without each other.  She gets angry and tells Julian the only thing it reminds her of is how she should have never given their marriage another chance.  She says because of his silence, her brother is dead; she also says, because of him, she’s had to take justice into her own hands.  He asks what she means by that; she says it’s just metaphoric.  He says she looks nervous; she says she has a lot of work to do.  He tells her, if she is in trouble he will help her, but she has to let him.

Alexis is relieved when Julian says he will go to therapy with her, to try to give her closure.  She suggests they start now; Kevin agrees to see them.  He tells her to explain to Julian why they are there, and what she hopes to accomplish with this therapy.  She talks about her father, and her mother, and compares it to their relationship; he says there is no comparison.  He says he had no choice; he couldn’t risk his family’s lives… she laughs as she recounts him holding a knife to his throat and he gets upset.  He says if this is just going to be an hour of raking him over the coals, he wants to call the whole thing off.  He threatens to leave, but Kevin suggests they try something more structured; Julian sits back down.  He begins asking Julian questions; he asks what it was about Alexis that encouraged him to pursue her.  Julian says he wanted redemption; he saw, in her, the chance to be redeemed.  He agrees to come back again.  Jason and Carly hear a muffled scream coming from the room next to hers; Jason asks Kevin who is in there.

Thursday, June 21, 2018 (S56E58): Memories of Charlie

Mike gets good news; Griffin says the medication is having a “positive effect.”  Mike thanks his nurse, Francesca, for the good news; he tries to set her up with Michael, but she laughs it off.  One of the doctors asks for lab results; Kiki says she’ll bring them to his office as soon as they come in.  He says that’s okay; he’ll come back and check for them later.  She tells Liz that Dr. Bensch warned her that the doctors might not feel comfortable with her after the article came out.  Lulu shows up; Kiki is disappointed that no one else has come forward yet.  The nurse named Jessica listens to their conversation; after Lulu leaves, she asks to talk to Kiki.  She tells her she admires her courage; Kiki thanks her, saying she needed to hear that.  She listens as Alexis tells Kiki that, without cooperating witnesses, they don’t have a case.  She says, it is “he says, she says.”  Kiki ges upset; Alexis says she is just doing her job.  She doesn’t want to give her false expectations.  Francesca stands there, shaking her head; she decides to come forward.  She tells Kiki Dr. Bensch did the same thing to her.

Julian isn’t excited about the thought of going to therapy with Alexis; Kim tells him she will support him, whatever he decides.  She tells Liz she isn’t excited about the idea, but he tells Alexis he will do it.Mike and Sonny go to Charlie’s; Sonny orders coffee on the house, and tells Julian he wants his July payment “in full.”   He tries to get Mike to talk about the body in Croton again, but he doesn’t remember what he is talking about.  He sees a picture of Charlie, the guy who built the bar; he says he remembers him.  He says he hasn’t seen Charlie since Sonny was about eighteen years old.

Valentin sets up a surprise evening for Nina; Nina goes to check on Peter and can’t wake him up.  She panics; he stirs and says he passed out from the pain.  He asks her to take him to the hospital; she says no, telling him he is exactly where he deserves to be.  Peter tells Nina that he believes Leisel wants to kill him.  Nina says her aunt won’t kill him.Obrecht is irritated when she sees Finn and Anna kissing; Anna tells her if she has something to say, she should get it over with.  Leisel says she is glad to see that Anna is able to move on, adding that not all of them have the luxury.  Anna tells her she thought they could get along now, but Leisel lets her know she still has no use for her.  She says the only thing they have in common is that neither one of them will ever see their son again.  She reminds Anna that they still have their own score to settle.  Finn confronts Valentin; he tells him if he gets involved in Anna’s life again, it will be the last mistake he ever makes.  When Finn comes back, Anna tells him that she thinks Obrecht knows more than she is saying about her son.

Mike asks if there’s a story between him and Julian; Sonny says it’s not worth talking about.  Brad comes in; he says he wants to thank Julian for all the information he put together for Lucas.  He says they can’t give the birth mother any reason to change her mind; he mentions that she knows his GPA from highschool, and he doesn’t even know her name.  Julian asks if he knows what hospital she is giving birth at; he says he knows nothing about her. Julian is intrigued when he says that Alexis is handling the whole adoption for him, and she knows everything about the birth mother.  Leisel sits down in front of Heinrik to eat her sandwich; he begs her for a bite of it, but she just smiles and starts eating.

Wednesday, June 20, 2018 (S56E57): Chase Comes Clean

Julian gets a call from Alexis; she says she is coming to see him.  On her way there, she runs into Dr. Bensch; he asks her to represent him, and she tells him that she is already representing Kiki.  He is offended, bringing up the fact that they dated; she says that should have been her first clue, because she has horrible taste in men.  He glares at her as she gets in the elevator and leaves.

Kiki gets a text from her mom, saying she and Griffin are worried about her; Griffin shows up in front of her at the diner.  He asks to sit down; she tells him that she isn’t sure her coming forward has done any good… no one else has come forward against Bensch.  She says it’s kind of messed up that she is hoping he has done this to someone else; then memories of her with Griffin play, and she says this may have been a mistake after all.Ava comes to see Nelle; she asks if she’s catching up on work… she is looking at an old article online about Chase.  Ava sees Dr. Bensch and realizes he is the one who has been harassing Kiki; he tells her Kiki is the one who came on to him.  Ava slaps him; Griffin and Kiki get off the elevator, and Griffin tells Bensch to leave.  Bensch tells Griffin “they are all yours.”

Michael confronts Chase at work; he tells Michael Nelle is quite the storyteller.  Michael says he doesn’t want his opinion on Nelle; he just asked him to leave her alone.  Dante asks what the problem is; Michael tells him Chase had a history with Nelle, which surprises Dante.  Ava brings up the blanket, saying Nelle’s plans could unravel as easy as a homemade baby blanket, if she isn’t careful; Nelle throws a threat back about Griffin finding out what Ava has done.  Ava says she’ll hold on to her security blanket for the time being; Nelle says she’ll hang on to the photo for the time being too.

When Kevin notices Jason, he tells him “this is not a good idea.”  Nurse Mary Pat hears him, and asks if he is already acquainted with their new employee.  He says maybe; Jason tells her his last job was at General Hospital.Oscar and Jos are having lunch at Charlie’s; Kim joins them, but Jos excuses herself and runs out the door.  Kim follows her and Jos sobs in her arms; Julian sits down to talk to Oscar.  He tells him that he plans on being around for a while; he says he doesn’t scare easy.  Alexis shows up; she is surprised when Kim tells her that she and Julian went camping.  Jos talks with Nelle; she asks her what it was like when she stayed in a mental hospital; Michael brings in a package that was delivered for Nelle.  It’s a t-shirt, from a place called The Salty Grog; a place they used to go in Florida.  She says “it’s detective Chase.”

Michael tells Nelle that he spoke with detective Chase, and he won’t be a problem anymore; he suggests she go lay down and rest.  Nelle suddenly notices that the bottle of perfume she had in her purse is gone; Jos has it.  Nelle looks frantically for it; Michael asks why it’s such a big deal.  She says it’s not and goes to get in the tub; Michael calls Spenelli.  He looks at information from Nelle’s computer and sees an order for the t-shirt she received; she had it sent to herself.

Tuesday, June 19, 2018 (S56E56): There’s More to the Story

Anna and Finn spend the night together; they decide to get up and go out for breakfast together.  They decide to go on vacation together, throwing around all sorts of ideas for places to go; Finn says, “this is nice – unfamiliar, but nice.”  Just as he speaks of how calm everything is, the waiter slips and falls right beside them.  Anna is annoyed because Finn keeps getting texts from Felicia and Mac.Alexis gives Sam her paperwork, awarding Aurora to Drew; she says she’s coming around to her way of thinking… maybe they both need a clean break.  She tells her daughter, she has a lot of work to do.  Sam talks to her about her mother; she notices the watch Alexis is wearing.

Chase is going through files; he finds Nelle’s picture.  He remembers bringing Nelle in for questioning after her boyfriend’s death; she asks him, “do I look like a killer to you?”  He asks who’s idea it was to go on vacation in Maine; she says it was hers… it was his idea to leave Florida.  She says she was in an impossible situation – watch her fiancĂ© drown, or drown with him.    Nelle tells Michael that the officer, who investigated Zach’s accident; he asks who and she tells him.  A female officer asks why Zach changed his Will just before leaving on that vacation; she says he was mad at his family for the way they treated her, and he wanted to make sure she was taken care of if, God forbid, anything happened.

Michael says it sounds like Chase was pretty hard on her; Nelle says, “you have no idea.”  Nelle says everything was fine, until Zach’s sister showed up and started stirring everything up again.  Chase remembers asking Nelle where she was going to go; she tells him Florida.  He followed her there, and called her; we see a clip from a meeting between them, at a motel room… Nelle’s version anyway.  Next we see the actual version, as Chase remembers it; Nelle came on to him.  We see a bit of the love scene between them; Chase tells her he will take care of her… that he will take care of “everything.”  When he leaves the room to go get her a drink from the convenience store, she calls and reports “some inappropriate behavior by one of their officers.”  She makes Michael think he is out to get her, asking, “what if he is here to finish what he started?”

Franco talks with Kevin; he gets distracted by thoughts of Carly.  He apologizes… Franco sarcastically says, “you have other patients?!”  He tells Franco, as a wedding present, he is going to continue giving him therapy “pro bono.”  Franco likes that idea; Liz tells Kevin she appreciates it too.

Carly is brought into the dayroom to put together a puzzle; she says she is feeling much better today.  The nurse notices that her meds have been reduced; she isn’t happy about it.  Jason comes in to mop; Carly is happy to know seeing him wasn’t her imagination.  Jason listens as the nurse complains to Dr. Collins about Carly’s meds being reduced.  Kevin talks to Carly for a minute, and she thanks him for helping with her medication; he turns to leave and notices Jason.  He says his name; Rupert and the head nurse turn and look.

Monday, June 18, 2018 (S56E55): Mike's Story

Mike tells Sonny that he took the body out of the hole Sonny put it in all those years ago; Sonny asks him where he put it.  Mike says that night was quite a mess; he admits he was hiding in the shadows… he starts to cry, saying he knows he was never there for him and his mom, and this one time, he thought he could clean up after him, to protect him, so he did.  Mike starts to laugh and says this part of the story is kind of funny; Dante walks in.  Mike says, “hey you are just in time.”  Sonny stops him from telling the story he wants to tell; Dante says he needs to talk to him about Carly in Fercliff.  He tells him to stop making phone calls to judges, and pushing the staff; no more exerting influence.  He says it won’t work out well for Carly, and says this is just “a son looking out for his father.”  After Dante leaves, Sonny tries to get Mike to finish telling him the story; Mike has no idea what he is talking about.

Maxie holds baby James; Amy says she is the rock-star of the Nic-U.  She tells Lulu she is ready to talk; she says, too, she has been discriminated against and harassed because she’s a woman.  She says, “GH is a great place, but even great places need to evolve.”  Lulu and Maxie talk, afterward, and Lulu takes it a bit too far again; she say she has gifts for the kids.  Maxie reminds her that they are not “best-ies” again, even thought they are talking.  Lulu apologizes.  Maxie says it isn’t as simple as just “getting over it.”  Amy suggests she let Lulu take her home, and Lulu says she could stay for a while; Amy says it’s good to see them together again.  They both smirk when she leaves and ask if it seemed real.  Maxie decides to actually let Lulu help her.

Obrecht tells Kim and Julian that she is just “taking some me time” and mourning her son in her own way; but when they all hear Heinrick scream, the look in here eyes says it all.  She denies hearing anything, at first, but Kim insists, someone is in terrible trouble.  Leisel says it’s just her primal scream therapy group, letting out their pain; she gives a howl herself.  She tells them she has to get back to it; they just stand there.  Julian tells Kim that’s probably one of the “more saner” things he has seen Obrecht do.  She gets back and scoffs at the snake on the bed, picking it up with a stick and throwing it outside; she says, “no harm done.”  She brings him a cupcake with a candle in it and tells him happy birthday; “celebrate like it’s your last.”

Nina sees Drew at the Floating Rib; she apologizes for all Peter put him through.  Stella has lunch with Curtis and Jordan; it goes pretty well.  Curtis excuses himself, and goes to tell Drew and Nina that there is no clue as to where Heinrik is.  Nina thanks Drew for talking with her, saying it gave her “clarity” and she gets up and leaves.  Stella begins to leave, as well, but Jordan asks her to sit with her for a cup of tea; she says, there is more they need to talk about.  She tells Stella that she knows they will always have Thomas between them, but she wants to focus on what they have in common… their love for Curtis and T.J.  She promises to make Stella’s nephew happy every day.

He tells Drew that Jordan is getting heat from City Hall about finding Peter; he also tells him he got his first case from her… and it’s connected directly to Drew.  He is investigating the man who stole his life from him; Curtis asks Drew to be his best man.  Drew says of course.  He tells Drew that he believes his Aunt Stella is even “onboard.”  Stella calls someone, and finds out that they are “practically around the corner.”

Friday, June 15, 2018 (S56E53): Beware of Snakes

Drew and Oscar have lunch together.  Oscar tells his dad that it makes no sense to him, why his mom is on a camping trip with Julian Jerome; in the tent, Julian and Kim make love. A snake crawls inside the bag and Julian takes off running; Kim just laughs.  She suggests they go skinny-dipping and continues making fun of him.  Drew tells Oscar the reasons he changed his mind about the memory treatment; he says he couldn’t imagine not knowing him or Scout.  Once he realized what he would miss, he decided to take the safe path; Oscar tells him he’s glad… he says, “you’re great the way you are.”

Finn asks Anna to stay with him for a while at work today; he says his scheule is light.  They walk the halls, hand in hand, and laugh about not having to hide it or lie about it.  Finn asks if she has heard anything about Heinrik’s whereabouts yet; she says no, and tells him that today of all days, she wishes she could.  Nina brings more aspirin for Peter; he pleads with her to help him, so he doesn’t die there.  She tells Obrecht he needs antibiotics immediately; she threatens to call 911, if she doesn’t get them.  She tells Peter she didn’t do it for him; she doesn’t want to be an accessory to murder.  He tries appealing to her “moral code” but she says she agrees with Leisel; it’s his fault Nathan is dead.  He says it’s not.  Leisel overhears Anna in the hallway, telling Finn that it is her son’s birthday today.  She calls Nina to say she has the medicine; on her way back through the woods, she runs into Julian and Kim.  Julian asks what she’s doing, commenting that he doesn’t see her as the outdoor type.  Suddenly, a rattlesnake appears on Peter’s bed; he starts screaming.  Julian and Kim, and Obrecht hear him.

Kevin tells Carly he will be there with her every step of the way; he is taking on extra work, while Laura is away.  He is appalled at the amount of medicine they have her on and says he will try to fix that; he assures her that she will be okay.  Sonny and his dad come back from taking a drive in an old car; Mike is so happy, he starts talking about how great the car is and what a big trunk it has – big enough to put a body in.  Sonny takes notice of the comment.  They discuss why Mike left, and he apologizes; he tells Sonny, he may not have been there, but he watched out for him in ways Sonny doesn’t even know.  He says, he found a way to protect him from the consequences of his first job for Skully.

Thursday, June 14, 2018 (S56E52): Innocent Jokes

Dr. Bensch walks in, as Kiki stands in the locker room; he tells her he just heard about the article, and calls it disturbing.  He more or less threatens her, then tells her he’s “available” if she needs someone to talk to.  He stops her from leaving, putting his arm up in front of her; she admits that she’s the one who filed the complaint and that the article is about him.  He asks if she wants to cost him his career, calling them “mixed signals.”  She says someone has to hold him accountable, and tells him she is exploring her legal options, and says those rumors he’s worried about are the least of his problems.  He says he just “got the wrong message.”  He calls his proposition an “innocent joke.”

She tells him his behavior was inappropriate and he is delusional.  He tells her no one is going to trust her now, or want to be alone in a room with her.  Griffin comes in and finds him harassing Kiki, and he throws him up against a locker and almost punches him.  He tells him he will lose his license; Bensch smiles and says, “we’ll see.”  Kiki gets mad at Griffin for interfering; he tells her he knows Bensch is the man in the article.  She tells him it’s been going on for a while, just talk at first… only last week, did he proposition her.  Griffin says she should have come to him; she says she can’t ask him for anything after what happened between them.  She thanks him and tells him he is a good friend, but he is the last place she can go for help.  Dr. Bensch smirks, as he lurks in the hallway, staring at a picture on his phone, of Kiki hugging Griffin.

Jason goes to Ferncliff and applies for a job, as a janitor; the head nurse tells him it isn’t easy working with the criminally mentally ill.  Jason says, “a mess is a mess, no matter where it is… and it’s my job to clean it up.”  Great answer.  She offers to take him on a tour of the facility; from her bed, in a drugged stupor, Carly hears him talking.  Carly sees them outside of her door and gets up; the Chief Orderly comes by (the big man, who was watching Carly); his name is Rupert.  The nurse suggests Rupert “up” Carly’s meds, since she is standing.  The head nurse tells Jason he is to notify the staff immediately, “if a situation should arise.”  She shows him the “dayroom” next and tells him he can start later today.  Kevin comes in to see Carly; she questions if he is really there… he questions how many meds they have her on.

Sam and Curtis try to figure out where Peter might have headed; Sam makes a call, pretending to be Nina Reeves.  She says she needs some information on her husband’s account.  When Nina texts to tell them he is headed back, they decide to stay and confront Valentin.  He swears he hasn’t seen Peter; Sam questions a charter he made the same night Peter disappeared.  Valentin admits he is holding something back; he says Peter chartered the plane, in his name, and says they can get a copy of the flight manifest.  Sam says they will; Curtis says he is lying through his teeth.  They deduce that Peter never even left town; Valentin wonders where he is.

Elizabeth tells Franco that it was pointless to contact her sister; she says, just as she figured, she is too busy to flight out for a wedding.  Franco questions why Liz hadn’t told her sister yet; Liz hesitates to answer.  Franco asks her what’s going on; she tells him that they are just not a close family… her sister and her parents live to work.  She says she has all the family she needs, there; if she thought they would come, she would invite them.  She tells Franco, next to having her kids, exchanging vows with him will be the most important moment in her life; she thanks him for trying to make things work with her family.  He kisses her goodbye, then calls Sarah; he asks if she can put him in touch with her parents. Alexis talks to Kevin about the watch her father gave her mom, which Valentin just bestowed upon her.

Kevin asks why she thinks Valentin did it; possibly to provoke a reaction of some kind from her.  She says she doesn’t know; she just accepted it because she doesn’t have anything of her mother’s.  She describes the picture as being “just a moment in her life” and having so few memories of her, she says, it was special to her.  She says her mother essentially sacrificed her life for a sociopath, who was married to a sociopath, and together, they spent their lives trying to “out-evil each other,” adding that it’s a wonder she is as sane as she is.  Kevin explains to her that the cause is not necessarily one thing; he says it is layers, which flips Alexis out because she just wants a quick fix.  He says they need to work together until she can confront the person or persons at the root of her issue; she questions, whom she would confront, as her parents are both dead.  He suggests she start with Julian.  She goes home and puts her mother’s watch on; the show ends, with her staring into the mirror, with her arm across her chest.

Wednesday, June 13, 2018 (S56E51): Kiki Speaks Out

Carly tells herself to “stay strong, stay focused, go home” as she sits in her cell.  The head nurse comes in and introduces herself; Carly isn’t impressed.  She wants to discuss “the Cliff’s rules” and how they apply to Carly; she tells her afterward that she wouldn’t like being one of her “problem patients. She isn’t happy about the mood stabilizing medicine they want to give her, but she agrees to take the pills… then tries to hide the pills under her throat.  A big man steps in front of her, I’m assuming to shove some more down her throat.  He holds her down, while the nurse gives them to her; she tells her she will wait to make sure she doesn’t regurgitate them.  Then she has to go, but leaves the big man to watch Carly.  After a bit, she starts to slip into a stupor and lays down on the bed.

Curtis tells Nina, he needs her help to catch Heinrik; she looks nervous.  Valentin takes out an old record and blows the dust off; he texts Alexis “I have a gift for you.”  It’s an album of her mother singing.  It’s payment for services rendered; the second half.  She asks about the first payment; the watch.  He says it was a gift from his mother to her father.  Nina tells Curtis she isn’t going to intentionally sabotage her husband, even though she doesn’t know the status of her marriage right now.  Sam tells Nina that Valentin took Peter’s place in the cell, allowing Peter to escape; she asks what they want her to do.  She calls Valentin.  He tells Alexis he has to go and lets her have a picture of his mother wearing the watch he gave her.  She is intrigued.  Nina gets a text from Leisel; “our guest requires more pain killers.”  When Valentin arrives, she tells him she wants a divorce; he says he won’t give her that.  Alexis goes home and looks at the watch closely, as she plays her mother’s album.

Sonny calls Diane and tells her to fix this. He and Jason discuss what to do next; Mike is welcomed to stay.  Sonny says this is family, not business anyway.  When Sonny talks about family sticking together, Mike agrees; he says, “let’s break her out.”  Sonny tells his dad that they have to follow the law on this one; Sonny explains.  Mike understands that this is about more than Carly; it’s about the D.A. trying to take a swipe at Sonny.  Jason gets an idea and leaves.  Mike tells Sonny “he’s a strange one.”  He applies for a job at the Ferncliff facility; he gives the head nurse a letter of recommendation from GH.  She is impressed by him.

Franco finds Dr. Bensch in the locker room; he approaches him, gently, at first, rubbing his shoulders, asking if he can do anything for him.  He then throws him up against a locker and holds him by the collar; Elizabeth stops him from hurting Bensch, but he threatens him.  Bensch leaves; Franco tells Liz that he will kill him.  She calms him with her sweet demeanor, and says she knows how it feels and makes him understand that he just needs to let Kiki work this out her way.  She kisses him and goes back to work.  Franco gets a text from Sarah Webber; he has a surprised for Liz. Kiki’s article is being released today; Alexis shows her an early copy.

Ava questions what Griffin knows.  She asks why he is so secretive when it comes to her daughter; Kiki walks in.  Ava asks Kiki why she won’t talk to her; she says she didn’t tell anyone.  She says she didn’t even realize it was happening for a while; and she says she couldn’t take her mother on too, because their outlook on sex is different.  Ava asks how she thinks she looks at sex; Kiki says as a strategy, and a weapon… to manipulate guys for her own agenda.  She says that kind of behavior delegitamizes what she is doing; Ava claims she has changed, after having been with Griffin.  Kiki says she doesn’t see it; she goes to change for work.

Tuesday, June 12, 2018 (S56E50): The Past Comes Back

Chase accuses Janelle, as he calls her, of “bailing” on him and “ducking” his calls; after she “did” what she did.  He brings up her watching her ex-fiance drown, while she stood safe in a kayak.  Apparently, he was a cop during that time, and fell in love with her; she didn’t love him back.  She tells him, in another time, another place, she might have loved him too; she brushes his face.  Nelle tells him his support meant the world to her; she says she knows what they did was wrong, but her intentions were pure.  He warns her, reminding her, in this time and this place, she is having a baby with the heir of two of the most powerful families in the city.  She asks him if he is stalking her.

He spent years rebuilding his reputation he says; he took the detective exam and passed.  He tells her it was a coincidence; a spot opened up in Port Charles, and he took it.  He kisses her on the cheek and tells her, it’s a small town; “I’ll see ya around.”Jason goes to play pool; Sam shows up.  She says she is going into business with Curtis; “Ashford and McCall” she tells him.  She says she didn’t like sitting behind a desk, then tells Jason she likes his tie.  He says he wore it for Carly, for all the good it did; tells her Carly was sent to Ferncliff “again.”  He talks about the last time she was sent away; he says the person who belongs there now is Nelle Benson.  He blames himself for not figuring out that it was Nelle, sooner; he says he has to find that evidence.  He’s afraid Carly will get herself in trouble in there; he says he wishes he could be in there watching her.  Sam warns him to be careful; somehow, her warning gives him an idea.

Michael talks to Spenelli (Georgie is getting adorable); Spenelli asks Michael if he got into Nelle’s computer.  He says he couldn’t crack the password.  Spenelli gives him a device that will bypass the password, and relate anything Nelle does on her computer, in real time.  Micheal just has to put it in her computer.  He goes home and does so; he finishes just before she walks in the door.  She is “jumpy” and agitated, which he notices.  She tells him she ran into someone from Florida at the courthouse; Chase looks at an old picture of him and Nelle.Heinrick reaches the piece of glass… he starts cutting the strap around his wrist, and almost gets loose, but Obrecht catches him.  She’s pissed.  She takes a baseball bat and cracks his knees; he screams out in pain.

When Nina walks in and sees him, she asks what Leisel has done; she says, “he was trying to escape so I stopped him.”  Nina begins bandaging up his bleeding wrist (which he cut himself, trying to cut the leather strap).  Obrecht tells her he deserves it; she tells Nina to think of James, and how he suffered.  She goes out for some air; Nina gives Peter some aspirin for the pain.Drew goes to see Kim; he is picking up Drew for a sleepover.  Kim says she hopes he knows what he’s getting into.  They talk about Julian and Drew offers his words of warning; Kim assures him that she’s okay, insisting that Julian wants to distance himself from that person he used to be.  Julian talks to Lucas; he gives him information about his mother.  He says he should have it, so he can tell his child about his grandmother.  He and Kim decide to go camping.

Monday, June 11, 2018 (S56E49): The Decision

Anna and Finn’s goodbye replays… she asks him if he wants to stay.  Finn gets nervous and says he may not want to leave; she says that’s not a bad thing.  He says he isn’t that great to be around; she says she isn’t a barrel of laughs.  They go back and forth about whether there are reasons he should go or not and talk about having “breakfast in the morning before the flight” and he walks out the door.  Anna gets in her pajamas; Finn goes home and gets undressed for bed.  Anna tries reading a book; Finn looks at a newspaper.  He asks what he is doing; he picks up his phone.  He says he forgot to tell her something really important, and then just says “goodnight.”

They end up talking for a long time; Anna asks if he has a remedy for insomnia.  He says, “as a matter of fact I do.”  He says the doctor should deliver it personally; “someone who has an intimate working knowledge of the human body.”  Finn tells Anna he made a lot of mistakes before he got to her, but mistakes are what bring us closer to what we need.  They both agree they are happy everything in their lives has led them to each other; Anna is still talking when Finn gets silent.  She wonders if he’s okay and goes to open her door; Finn is standing there.  She grabs his robe-belt and pulls him in the door; they begin kissing and undressing.  Romantic music plays.  Well done love scene.  Anna looks so happy.

Nina arrives at the shack to find Leisel torturing Heinrik, with a recording on ear phones of “three blind mice” (lol).  She stops her when she rubs a boquet of flowers in his face, saying her son’s grave is covered with them.  Nina says they need justice, not violence; Obrecht argues she is just playing him a little music and showing him some flowers.  She tells Nina to let her handle it; Nina leaves.  Leisel puts the flowers in a vase; Heinrik says his father didn’t do her justice, saying Ceasar called her one of the most brilliant women he ever met.  He tries to make a deal with Obrecht.  He tells her Nathan’s death was Anna’s fault and says he will help her get revenge.  He tries to condemn Dr. Finn too, but Obrecht says she owes her gratitude to him.  She tells him he can’t give her back her son, and throws the vase at him; it breaks against the wall.  She says she is on Nathan’s side, and he never was.  She tells him she wants him give a confession and leaves the room.  He reaches for a piece of glass.

Maxie is pleasantly surprised by a visit from Chase; he asks if she knows when the baby can come home.  She says soon, hopefully; she says she doesn’t even have the nursery all set up, mentioning that Peter August started helping her with it.  She finds a necklace Peter gave her, and says he continues to haunt her; she says she let him convince her that his friendship was real… that he was real.  Chase says Nathan would probably want her to donate the necklace to charity; she agrees.  He tells her letting someone get close to her is a good and brave thing to do; he says she should stop blaming herself.  He continues talking and she realizes he isn’t talking about her situation anymore.  He says he runs into a lot of liars in his line of work; Nina shows up.  Chase leaves and Maxie shows Nina the baby’s birth certificate; she starts to cry at the thought that Nathan will never know his boy.  She says, “whatever happens to Peter August, he has it coming.”

At home, Michael and Nelle sit down and she talks about how grateful she is for everything.  She imagines a conversation, yelling about his “bitch mother” then apologizes for things being out of her hands right now, where Carly is concerned.  She goes up to lay down; Michael calls Spenelli again and Nelle interrupts him by coming back in.    Jason gets on the stand and says he can’t answer the D.A.’s first question, about whether or not he thinks Carly was insane on the day of Nelle’s fall.  She questions, “can’t or won’t?”  He says he isn’t a psychiatrist, and Diane stands up to support that statement; the judge sustains her objection.  Diane calls no other witnesses and doesn’t recall any other witnesses.

The D.A. gives her closing argument, saying Carly knew what she was doing and needs to pay for it; Diane says Carly “snapped under the weight of the loss of her son, and the betrayal by someone she trusted, who did everything she could to infiltrate her family” and asks for justice to get Carly the help she needs.  The judge goes to deliberate and recesses court; Diane tells Jason he played it perfectly on the stand.  The D.A. comes over to comment and Sonny tells her to stay away from his family; she tells him to tell them all not to push mothers-to-be down the stairs.  Michael gets a text about the trial; Nelle says she hopes the judge makes the best decision for everyone… especially their baby.

The D.A. calls Nelle and tells her that Carly’s attorney made a “strong case.”  She says she’ll do everything she can to protect her and the baby; Nelle thanks her and tells Michael it was just something she ordered.  She tells him she wants to go back to the courthouse with him, to face whatever happens “together” so he doesn’t have to face it alone.  The judge sentences Carly, “not guilty by reason of insanity.”  Michael says, “thank God… she’s not going to prison.”  The D.A. demands, “the defendant receive the sentence she deserves.”   Diane objects to her attempt to “seek retribution” in this case.  The judge tells her he doesn’t need instruction on how to pass sentence; he then says since there was no denial of the actions, she is a potential threat and demands her to Ferncliff, the Institute for the Criminally Insane, until deemed cleared by psychiatric evaluation and ready to be returned to society.”  Carly begs, “not Ferncliff, please.”

Carly panics and tells Sonny to watch Joslyn; she tells Jason she’ll wait for him to come get her, and the guard takes her away.  Diane says she is going to try to fight the sentence.  Jason says he can’t wait; he leaves.  Nelle revels and tells her baby that her “plan worked like a charm…” she says she is going to get everything she wanted.  She turns to see Chase standing there and he says, “Nelle, its been a long time.”

Friday, June 8, 2018 (S56E48): The Longing

Anna is sleeping when a knock comes on the door; it’s Finn.  He senses things didn’t go well; she says, “as well as can be expected.”  She says Robyn was horrified, but didn’t criticize or judge her –she was fair and compassionate- she says, but fears something “irrevocable has been lost between them.”  She says nobody could ever really know her, because she didn’t want to know herself.  Finn reminds her she was young when this happened and did the best she could at the time; she tells him Robyn’s question about the grandchildren, and how that secret has colored every moment… every memory.

She says when Robyn left, it felt more like she was saying goodbye; she apologizes for underestimating Finn and not telling him.  He admits he hasn’t been entirely forthcoming with her, either, about his family or his past.  He tells her he recently ran into his father; he was teaching at Berkley.  Professor Gregory Chase, he says; explains that he took his mom’s maiden name after his dad remarried.  Says he was still cleaning out his mom’s things when his dad’s new wife, a woman half his dad’s age, was giving birth to his brother; Anna understands now why he felt as he did.

He says he and his brother are strangers; Anna says it sounds like there’s more, but he says that’s enough history for now.  She thanks him for sharing what he did; he apologizes for saying she was “one step away from putting on a bathrobe and getting a cat.”  They laugh about it and he starts to leave; Anna says, “wait.”

Thursday, June 7, 2018 (S56E47): The Trial

Carly’s trial begins; the D.A.’s opening argument says this is “a woman who considers herself above the law… like her husband,” not those of a woman suffering a break with reality, claiming she would go to any length to get what she wants.  Griffin has memories of having sex with Kiki… Ava, sitting across the table from him, tells him she is “beginning to feel like something is wrong.” He tells her “there is just a lot going on.”  She asks if “what happened that night is still weighing on” him. Dante gets ready to testify in Court… Lulu tells him she doesn’t envy him, asking if the facts are in Carly’s favor.  He says Carly could end up in Shadybrook; she tells him she is working on a news story… just good old fashioned news.  He kisses her and says he trusts her; she says she loves him too.  Joslyn is nervous about being forced to testify against her mother; Bobbie tells her all she has to do is “answer the D.A.’s questions.”  Nelle tells Michael maybe they should go to the courthouse separately, but Michael insists he wants to be right by her side.  Diane puts up a compelling argument for Carly’s “relentless grief on a mother’s broken psyche,” calling it a blinding fissure with reality.

Bobbie is called to the stand first; she is sworn in as Michael and Nelle arrive.  The D.A. questions Bobbie about Nelle’s place in the family when she first came to town; the questioning then comes “to the point just before the incident.”  She asks, specifically, if Carly was “increasingly convinced that Ms. Benson wanted to separate Michael from his family.”  Bobbie answers, “yes.”  Jos is called next; Ava apologizes for being suspicious, saying she knows he isn’t trying to hurt her.  Just as it looks like he might confess, Kiki shows up and he says they need to “get to the courthouse.”  Ava tells Kiki that Dr. Bensch came to her gallery the other night; she mentions that they talked about her.  Kiki worries about what was said; Ava says they’ll have to talk about it later and tells Kiki to call her.  The D.A. asks if Nelle was kind to Jos, if she “in any way, felt threatened by Ms. Benson” and Jos answers, “no.”  She asks if Nelle ever treated her unfair; she answers, “no.”  Jos tries to stand up and is instructed to sit back down by the judge; the D.A. questions Jos about the upcoming arrival.  She says she’s happy about it; she cries when she says her mom doesn’t think Nelle will let the baby come over all that much.  The questioning turns to the mobile and Carly’s reaction when Nelle opened it; she asks if Jos believes Ms. Benson was using her late brother’s memory to hurt her mother.  She asks if she was worried when she went upstairs to talk to Nelle; Jos says no… she says it was what she wanted her to do.  The D. A. clarifies that Jos thought her mother was clear of mind when she went up those stairs, and Jos answers, “yes.”

Diane asks for a recess, which the judge granted; in the hall, Nelle comes out to see Jos crying and Carly asks if she is happy now.  Carly tells Diane they need to expose Nelle’s deeds, but Diane says they want to “ake this court think that no one in their right mind would attack this girl, not paint her for the snake she is.”  Jos cries; Sonny tells her it’s okay and hugs her.  She says she thinks she sent her mom to prison; Sonny assures her she didn’t and has the nanny take Jos home.  When Ava shows up Nelle loudly tells her she isn’t going to let anything try to hurt her baby ever again.  Michael agrees.  Ava testifies that Nelle was so sweet, pleading with Carly calmly as Carly was accusing her of doing all these things at the baby shower; she asks about the baby blanket and Ava denies any knowledge of any such blanket.  She asks about the last words she heard Carly say to Nelle and Ava repeats, “you won’t get your hands on my son.”  She says the next time she saw Nelle was “crumpled, at the bottom of the stairs.”

Michael testifies that there is nothing in this world that is more important to him than his child, including his mother… she then questions why he began a relationship when his mother didn’t approve of Ms. Benson.  He doesn’t really explain; the questioning moves onto the pregnancy.  She comments on how Ms. Benson is now a permanent part of his life, “unless something happens to the baby.”  She gets a warning from the judge.  Nell tells Michael she knows that was hard for him; he says he just did what needed to be done for their “family.”  Nelle smiles and lays her head on his shoulders.  Dante testifies next; he reads Nelles statement from that night, admits there was no blanket at the scene, and the D.A. questions his possible bias.  She then asks about the night Mike was taken into custody; Ms. Benson offered Ms. Corinthos a cup of tea.  She asks if he remembers what Carly said when Nelle asked her what she wanted… and he tries not to say, saying he doesn’t remember verbatim; but the D.A. insists he come as close as he can.  He says, “your head on a silver platter.”  Doesn’t look good for Carly.  Sonny consoles his son when he comes off the stand; Nelle testifies next.

The D.A. asks about her relationship with Carly and how it began; she says she was “lucky enough to save her daughter’s life.”  She tells about her father selling her kidney; she admits she was jealous first, because of her father’s lies, and says she regrets a lot of things she did.  She says Carly was “very livid when she found out” that she and Michael were together; did everything to try to break them up, threaten her, suggest she leave town… says she “humiliated Michael into asking for a paternity test.”  Even accusing of her faking the test, (which she did).  She says she has been so scared since that day on the stairs, and has lost all hope of a loving relationship with Michael’s family.  Diane declines to counter-question Nelle; Nelle steps down from the stand and trips dramatically, grabbing her stomach, and Michael rushes to her side and escorts her out.  Sonny and Carly look at each other and chuckle about the dramatics.  Ava tells Griffin she has to go, so she can’t stay to see him testify; she tells him just to be his “kind, honest self.”  Diane stands up and tells the judge they are ready.

Wednesday, June 6, 2018 (S56E46): Help Wanted

Valentin is “helping” Alexis, and Sam doesn’t trust him.  Jason tells Sonny he needs more time to prove Nelle is setting Carly up; Dante drops hints that major changes are coming to the PC… there are issues with Jordan and Curtis, and Stella, again…  Felix tells Stella to give Jordan a chance.  Michael offers Nelle a ride after her appointment; she is hesitant to tell him she has been subpoenaed to testify against his mom.  They talk; he understands that she has “to tell the truth.”  She tells him Sonny asked her to lie on the stand; she claims she won’t… she has to tell what happed whether she wants to or not.  Lol.  Michael tells her they are still in this together.  She goes to the bathroom; Michael calls Spenelli and says, “it’s time to make our next move against Nelle.”

Finn comes to see Anna; he compliments her, and tries to convince her that Robyn will be capbable of understanding what she did with Heinrik soon enough.  They hug; Robyn comes to the door, surprised to see Finn.  She is happy to hear it is not just for show this time; Finn leaves.  Anna tells her she needs to tell her something; she sits Robyn down and explains that Peter is her son.  She stunned to learn she has a brother, let alone that it is Faison’s… she asks how it happened and Anna explains, it wasn’t rape.  She can’t believe it when Anna tells her she never even looked at the baby; but Anna swears she has thought about that baby every day of her life.  Robyn doesn’t know how to feel; she says she kind of understands, but questions how her mom couldn’t tell her about Heinrik, let alone the fact of who his father was… a man who has threatened them all of her life.  Robyn says, “it all makes sense now.”

Anna tells her Jason saved her life that night, and admits that she’s right about him.  She cries when she talks about how much Robyn means to her, and all they’ve been through; she says she just never wanted to see her looking at her, the way she is looking at her right now.  Robyn tries to see it from Anna’s point of view; she processes everything, rationally, but says she doesn’t know how to feel emotionally.  She questions who her mom really is, and begins ranting about the lie, and not knowing the “whole” her.  She questions when her mom held her children… what she was thinking about, was not what Robyn thought she was thinking.  She says she “needs some time to process this” and leaves, answering her mother’s “I love you” with an “I love you, too.”

Tuesday, June 5, 2018 (S56E45): Don’t Make It Worse

Jason is still trying desperately to find a way to get Carly out of pleading insanity; Sonny tells him they don’t have time.  Jason insists; he tells them what he has been investigating, the recordings, etc…. Diane says that’s all circumstantial.  She tells him “finding evidence against Nelle would be proving the D.A.’s case for her.”

Sonny tells him, he is only making things worse; Jason tells them not to worry… Carly has agreed to plead insanity anyway, because she wants to be home by Christmas, but he can’t stand the though of her admitting to pushing Nelle when she didn’t.  Diane tells Jason she needs him to back her up; Jason says he won’t lie and say Carly is crazy because she is not.

Sam goes to see her mom about the divorce; she is wanting to give the company to Drew… she says he wants it, and she doesn’t, anymore.  Alexis admits to her that she kissed Julian after the nurses ball and keeps picking men who are “horrible” for her.  She knows now that her problem stems from her relationship with her father, Mikos… and admits that she has to investigate her father’s life.  Sam tells her to be careful, especially after Valentin comes to the door.

Monday, June 4, 2018 (S56E44): Let's Have a Chat

Sonny goes to see Nelle; he tells her they need to have a “nice, little chat.”  He tells her he wants her to change her story but she insists it’s true.  He tells her he will forget all bad blood between them if she does; she says she couldn’t, because she can’t take the chance that something would happen to Carly, or the baby, so for their safety, she says, she can’t.  Sonny cautiously welcomes her to the family and leaves.  Carly is surprised when she gets another visitor; Nelle.  Nelle gloats about how everyone is rallying around her and the baby, and rubs in how Carly is locked “in there.”  She says she will be there for Joslyn, in Carly’s place and laughs about all those times Carly told her she would never have her son, saying, “you were wrong.”

Oscar tells Jos he is going to be just a little while; he goes to see Carly.  She is surprised.  He tells her that he has a message from Jos, saying she loves her, etc.; Carly calls him on the lie.  Jos has no idea he’s there; he says that is how she really feels though.  Carly tells him he is very sweet and she feels better knowing he is out there to look out for Jos.

Anna goes to see Maxie; she gives her a letter from Peter.  Maxie says she doesn’t want it, but Anna says it was important to Peter that she get it, so she leaves it with her.  She sees Finn in the hallway; she tells him that she worries Robyn will be mad at her when she tells her about Heinrik.  He assures her she won’t; she starts to leave and Finn tells her she’s forgetting something and he kisses her.  She says she won’t forget that again. (Cute.)

Oscar goes to see his dad; Drew is happy to see him.  Oscar gives him an invitation to the awards ceremony at school, but Drew knows it’s something more bringing him there.  Oscar admits he could use some advice; he tells him he went to see Carly.  He asks if Drew talked to HR about the internship; Drew says he forgot.  Oscar gets sad and says its okay.  He admits that all this “family stuff is confusing.”  Drew tells him to stop by HR himself and fill out an application; he says he’ll put in a good word.  They hug.

Peter continues screaming from the bed he is chained to; we see Nina walk in the door.  He stunned to see her; he asks why she did it.  She talks about all of Nathan’s belongings that he had, the memories he kept, and how he used Nathan for a human shield; she tells him Faison is probably proud of him and calls him “sick.”  She mentions the “person who did this” and Peter is confused; who did this, if she didn’t, he asks… Olbreicht walks in.  Leisel asks Nina how she liked her surprise; Nina questions her actions.  She also mentions that Leisel has now made her an accessory; Peter starts yelling, and Leisel threatens him with a knife.

Nina laughs, then says this isn’t a laughing matter; Leisel says,  “no it is not” and raises an axe in the air.  She chops it in the wall next to him; Nina reminds her that the police and the WSB are looking for him.  Olbreicht says they need to take matters into their own hands; Nina is horrified when she realizes Leisel means killing Peter.  Olbreicht agrees to just make him confess, keeping him there until he breaks down; she reminds Nina that they are in this together and they shake hands.

Maxie gets released from the hospital; Chase offers to help see her home, after telling her what an honorable man he has learned Nathan was.  She accepts.

Friday, June 1, 2018 (S56E43): Where is Heinrik?

Jason and Anna are desperately looking for Heinrik; Jason fears he will try to kill her again.  Anna protests that he won’t; she defends Heinrik’s actions.  Robert comes in and tells Jason he might have to put him on the payroll; he tells Anna he is the reason Peter escaped.

Nelle apologizes to Michael for what she’s “done to Carly.”  He listens; she says she feels bad that Carly is on trial.  She finishes and he compliments her, and she touches his face, telling him she is so glad he came back into her life.  He backs away and tells her he has to go; she acts hurt, “don’t worry about me,” she says… Michael tells her he is going to pack his bags at the hotel to move back in to take care of her.  She smiles.  Jason comes to talk to Michael; he warns him against getting too close to Nelle again, but Michael says he is putting his family first.

Sonny goes to visit Carly in jail; he still argues with her about her defense.  They talk about all the mistakes they made; Sonny insists an insanity plea is her best chance.  Carly is angry at the thought; she says too many things could go wrong.

Maxie (played by a stand-in) is awakened by Heinrik; she gasps and pulls back, telling him to get away.  She tells him she knows he isn’t Peter.  He mentions his “nephew” and she freaks out; he grabs her hand and she screams… she wakes up.  Nina tells her that Peter escaped from jail and no one knows where he is.  We see Peter’s body being dragged across a floor.  Nina admits that she kept the investigation going, yet condemns herself for believing all of Peter’s lies.  Peter wakes up chained to a bed; he remembers getting hit from behind.  He calls out, asking who did this to him.  Nina tells Maxie that Valentin was involved too, and that she’s left him… then she tells Maxie that Anna is Peter’s mother.  Maxie is stunned.  The nurses bring baby James in; Maxie holds him and tells him his name.  Nina marvels and talks about “Jay” when her mom brought him home; Maxie lets Nina hold him.

Thursday, May 31, 2018 (S56E42): The Secret is Out

Jason says he was just on his way out to meet Spenelli, but Sam insists it’s important; it’s about Drew, she says.  Drew tells Andre he is ready to go forward with the procedure; he hands him a DNR… in case it goes the wrong way.  Sam tells Jason about the flash drive and says Peter is willing to trade it for his freedom; she also tells him that Drew had already been there and turned down this offer.  He said he is will to take the risk; Jason realizes Sam can’t.  Leisel sees Anna and tells her it’s her fault her son is dead.  Griffin overhears and tells Leisel to leave; he asks Anna what that was all about.  She tells Griffin Peter, who is actually Heinrik, is also actually her son.  She says he prefers the name Peter, though.  She remembers Griffin saying he had tested a patient for Huntington’s and questions, if that was Peter; Griffin says he can’t disclose that information.  She understands.  They say goodbye and Griffin goes to see Ava.Valentin tells Heinrik he is sorry; Heinrik say she should be.

Valentin admits that he knew he was Anna’s daughter and that he took him to Faison to punish her; he claims he has regretted it every day since.  He asks why he never told Faison that he was Anna’s son; Valentin says it was strategy… Cesar would have been obsessed with him if he knew he was Anna’s and would have never been able to break free.  He says he owes his life as Peter August to him; Valentin tells Peter that he should let Anna help, but that only makes Peter angry.  He doesn’t believe she gave him up to protect him; she says he was just an inconvenience to her she couldn’t wait to get rid of.

Ava gets a visit from Dr. Bensch; he tells her Kiki seems “off lately” and asks if anything is going on in her personal life.  Ava asks what he means; he says she’s been late, not on her game, easily distracted, looking at her phone at the time… Ava talks about Avery missing a week ago and says Kiki just has a lot going on.  Bensch tells Ava that he thinks Kiki has great potential to be a good doctor, but he has seen even the best interns “snap” (hinting that he has seen some make up wild stories to make up for lacking grades).  He claims he is there to get something to spruce up his office; Ava gives him her card, and he gives her, his.  He says he hopes Kiki knows what a lucky young lady she is to have such a strong support system, and leaves.  When Griffin shows up, Ava asks him what’s going on with Kiki; he looks like a deer caught in headlights.  She mentions the visit from Dr. Bensch, but he just shakes his head; he tells her about what’s going on with Peter and Anna.  He says he feels bad because he thinks he could have done something; Ava realizes that’s what the test was he didn’t have permission to run.  He says he is going to tell Anna about the test he ran; Ava says that’s the last thing she should do.  She says Anna won’t forgive him and then she looses his friendship, calling it a selfish thing to do.  She tells him she will keep his secret.

When Sam and Jason go to see Peter in jail, they find Valentin sitting in the cell; he says Peter over powered him and escaped.  They don’t believe him; Anna shows up, looking for Peter as well… they tell her he’s gone.  Peter sneaks into a the office at Crimson, looking for something; he finds it – the flash drive.  Someone comes up behind him and tazes him; he falls to the ground.  We see him being drug away, but do not see who is dragging him.

(Patty McCormick) is playing the role of Monica again.  Kiki tells her she needs to file a complaint against Dr. Bensch; Monica listens to Kiki’s story, and says she is sorry that happened under her watch.  She asks if there are any witnesses to Dr. Bensch’s behavior; Kiki says once Dillon saw him comforting her after Morgan’s death… but she says she “let him” and Liz reminds her that she is responsible for anything.  Kiki says otherwise, he made all of his advances in private; Monica doesn’t appear to believe her necessarily.  She tells Kiki that HR has to handle this; she says they will do their best to keep her anonymity.  Kiki fears that Bensch will know the claim came from her as soon as it comes out that a complaint has been filed.  Monica tells Kiki, if he is found guilty, he would only be suspended; the paper would remain in his file, but that’s all.  He wouldn’t be fired; Kiki says she can’t let him do this to anyone else, so she wants to go ahead and file the complaint.  Bensch sees Kiki coming out of Monica’s office, and smiles a creepish smile at her.

Wednesday, May 30, 2018 (S56E41): Memories For a Price

Heinrik offers to sell Drew a copy of his memories, for a price… Drew tells him he isn’t paying him for anything.  He’ll take his chances without it.  Kim goes to talk to Jason; she asks him to stop Drew from taking a terrible risk.  When she tells Jason about the procedure, Jason says he would be willing to take that risk himself, so he can’t tell Drew not to.  Kim argues that Drew is still in there and that the procedure is not necessary.  He says, he knows Sam wouldn’t want him to, and neither would Carly… they would remind of his kids and that might be enough to make him change his mind.

He says maybe Drew could hear her the same way.  Sam, still talking to Curtis and tells him everything that happened on the docks.  He’s surprised by Anna stopping Jason from killing Peter, then shocked when she tells the rest of the story.  He realizes why he couldn’t find any history on Peter August.  He asks her to join him and become his partner; she accepts.  Sam goes to see Peter to ask why Drew came to see him; he tells her about the procedure Drew is planning on having.  He tells her to tell Drew, he needs that flash drive.  Kim asks Drew if they can talk; he says they will, as soon as this is all over.  He has scheduled the procedure.

Valentin comes to visit Alexis; he wants to hire her as an attorney to move his assets to a trust in Charlotte’s name.  He more or less badgers her into helping him, bringing up past indiscretions and family history; she says she needs a full accounting of his assets.  She tells him not to think this will get him back into Nina’s good graces; he leaves.  She looks through a box of old photographs.

Kiki tells Elizabeth this isn’t the first time Bensch has come on to her; she tells Liz Bensch will mess everything up for her at school.. Liz says that’s what he wants her to think; she says there is no other way to interpret this… Dr. Bensch is harassing her.  She tells Kiki this is not her fault and says she has to speak up.  She tells Kiki, if she doesn’t report him, Bensch will do this to the next intern that catches his eye.  Kiki questions what if no one believes her; Liz tells her, she believes her and will be by her side every step of the way.  Kiki agrees to go tell someone.  Leisel looks at James through the nursery window; she vows to help protect him as long as she is in the world.  Peter gets another visitor; Valentin.  Sam goes to Jason and says she needs his help.

Tuesday, May 29, 2018 (S56E40): Carly's Plea

Carly pleads not guilty by reason of insanity, at the advice of Diane; district attorney argues to hold Carly without bail.  He orders her remanded to Pentonville until trial, saying, her plea by defacto admits to pushing a pregnant woman down the stairs.  Carly stands up and asks the judge what if she changed her plea.  Diane argues with her and doesn’t change it; she tells Sonny to fix this as they take her away.  Sonny tells Diane she better be right about this decision.

Franco and Elizabeth are picking a date for their wedding; they discuss the possibility of just eloping right now.  He says he thinks its time he meet the rest of her family.  Bensch calls Kiki into his office to talk to her; he shows her his evaluation of her, saying it isn’t too late to change it since it’s just a first draft.  He hands her a hotel room key and says if she wants a better evaluation, she’ll be waiting in the room for him at 6pm.  Liz asks Kiki for a chart and notices that something isn’t right with her; Kiki freaks out when Bensch pears at her and Liz notices.  She follows Kiki and gets her to talk; she tells her he wants her to have sex with him.

Anna explains to Finn why she feels the need to protect Heinrik now; Finn says he understands.  She apologizes for pushing him away and starts rambling on… he tells her to shut up and kisses her.  He tells her she is worth any risk and he wants to make the most of whatever time he has left; he tells her not to push him away ever again.  She says okay and asks what’s next.  She says she has kind of a mess to clean up; he says she doesn’t have to do it alone… he says he has a little mess of his own to clean up and asks if he could come by her place later.  Sweet; they kiss again.  I’m happy about that.  ;-)

Alexis asks Kevin if they can talk; she says she needs him to tell her why she is drawn to men who are destructive for her, or unavailable (like Finn).  She says there are so many of them, and starts naming names, including Jerry Jax… then admits that she ran out on the one nice guy she almost married, Ned Quartermaine.  She says she is a woman who thrives on control, but gravitates to men who make her feel completely out of control.  Kevin suggests regular sessions; he schedules her for tomorrow and tells her she took a big step today.  Peter demands his phone call, using Anna as a threat; Robert tells them to give him his call and throw him in a cell.

Franco tells Drew he would like to repay him for saving his life; Drew gets a phone call and says he has to take it and walks away.  He goes to see Heinrik; he asks what he could possibly have to say to him.  He says he can give him back his whole life, as Drew Cain.  Kevin sees Franco and asks why he hasn’t come around lately… he says he doesn’t need to, but Kevin insist he still needs to find closure himself.  He agrees to come back later this week.  Anna runs into Andre and tells him what happened; she says she still has to tell Robyn.  He asks if she’s told anyone else she cares about… Finn stands up at an AA meeting; Alexis is there.  He tells his story, and reasons why he used, admits he isn’t fully recovered and speaks directly to Alexis when talking about being careless with someone’s heart.  He apologizes, saying he hopes to earn her trust again.

Friday, May 25, 2018 (S56E38): Mommy Dearest

Dante tries to get more answers out of Heinrik; he is pissed off that he used his wife as part of his agenda.  Heinrik says it wasn’t his intention to USE anyone – and he never wanted his brother to die; Dante tells him not to ever call Nathan his brother again.  He tells Heinrik just what kind of brother Nathan would have been and says he would have been ashamed of him.  Valentin comes to get Charlotte, but Lulu refuses to let him have her because she knows he is planning on kidnapping her.  Nina suggests they leave Charlotte with Lulu for the time being “as a show of good faith.”  Valentin glares at her, but agrees if she agrees to talk to him.  He denies responsibility for Nathan’s death even though Nina says he could have warned him; Valentin says he couldn’t betray Peter like that.  He owed him, he said; that’s why he kept his secret.  She screams at him and tells him she is “done.”  Maxie has to break the news to her parents that Peter didn’t turn out to be the man she thought he was; they are so sad to hear this and try to comfort her.  They urge her to focus on the baby and not hang on to any bitterness; Felicia hugs Maxie.  They go look at the baby and Maxie names him “James (Nathan’s given name) Malcom (after Mac) West.”  Brad brings Nelle flowers and mentions how worried Lucas and Bobbie are about her… he says they are all afraid it looks like she is having a nervous breakdown.  Nelle smirks and mentions “mental illness” (as if it’s some horrible thing); this perception needs to change (I say this as a person who suffers from several mental illnesses, myself).  Anna goes to see Heinrik; he says, “hello mother.”  She tries to explain why she made the choices that she made back when; she acknowledges that she failed in trying to protect him.  She says she thought the less she knew about him, the better; she tells him that Valentin was the one who gave him to his father.  He is shocked.  Nelle waits for Michael to come pick her up from the hospital; Brad stops by and they talk about the future and playdates.  She says everything is working out exactly as she planned.  Diane suggests that Carly plead not guilty by reason of insanity, something she can prove; Carly refuses, insisting it just didn’t happen like Nelle says it did.  Lulu stops by to see Maxie; Maxie allows her to stay and talk.  She apologizes to Maxie for believing Peter/ Heinrik; Maxie tells her she understands.  She says she doesn’t agree with what she did, but she isn’t responsible for what happened to Nathan, Peter is.  She tells Lulu she can be back in her life, and adds, she needs her help with something.  Carly’s hearing is set to begin and Diane is still begging her to make the plea she has advised and says she could be out in just months that way; Carly argues she isn’t crazy and it would be perjury to say she was.  Diane reminds her that her connection to Sonny won’t help her case any.

Thursday, May 24, 2018 (S56E37): Risky Business

Julian shows up at Alexis’ door with flowers; she agrees to listen to what he has to say.  He reminds her of how much he loves her, and they laugh about old times, but Alexis is hesitant to allow him to get close.  But then, he gently kisses her on the cheek, and she begins kissing him; she pulls away suddenly, then, and begs him to leave, asking him not to try to comfort her again.  Sonny goes to visit Carly in the interrogation room.  He tells Carly that he and Stella took Mike to the Nurses’ Ball; she can’t believe when he tells her he sang with his father on stage.

Jos talks to Oscar about what happened and wonders if her mom is capable of hurting Nelle on purpose like that; she doesn’t want to believe it, but says her mom was completely out of control at the baby shower.  Oscar tells her they will figure it out.  Drew talks to Kim about her relationship with Julian; he says she deserves better.  She tells him he does too.  Drew makes a joke about the situation that reminds her of “the old him” and he tells her he hopes to just be “him” again soon.  Kim worries about him having any procedure done; she says he just got a relationship back with his son and begs him not to do anything that might take that away.

Kiki and Griffin are wakened by Ava knocking and hollering at the door; Kiki gets out of bed and hides.  Griffin lets her in; she notices the empty champagne bottle.  She says he must have a headache, and apologizes for things she said last night, accusing him of wanting Kiki.  She says she sang that song out of spite, because she was scared of losing him; she asks if it’s too ask for forgiveness.  He says he needs to tell her something, but Kiki texts “do not tell her!”  He tells Ava he has to get ready for work, and kisses her goodbye.  Kiki tells him her mom can NEVER know they slept together because it would destroy her; they agree to pretend it never happened.  Kiki leaves, Griffin goes to shower; Ava comes back, naked under her coat and tells Griffin she wants to make up.

Diane tells Carly there isn’t any proof she had an altercation with Nelle; she also says Monica is squarely on Nelle’s side.  Michael shows up, asking to talk to his mom; he wants her side of the story.  Jos goes to visit Nelle; she is relieved to hear that the baby is okay.  She tells Nelle she was on her way to see her mom, but ended up there… she asks Nelle to tell her what happened.  Nelle insists that Carly really pushed her, but then says she should be with Carly and not her.  She says she thinks Carly is having a breakdown and maybe that’s a good thing because she can get better; she also says she thinks this whole thing is bringing her and Michael back together again… Jos smiles.  Diane tells Carly that she is afraid a judge is not going to look at her defense kindly; she’s afraid Carly may be looking at 25 years in prison.

Wednesday, May 23, 2018 (S56E36): The Secret's Out

Peter is brought in, in handcuffs; Anna tells Finn, she never saw it coming.  Finn says no one else saw it either.  Robert claims jurisdiction; Chase questions him; Sam volunteers to provide all the information she knows.  She mentions the legal papers he signed with Aurora, using his fake name; she says she is willing to press forgery charges.  They mention the charges that could be filed on Jason’s kidnapping; Peter/ Heinrik says he actually saved Jason’s life.  He says his father told him to kill Jason, but he kept him alive.  Jason tells his side of the story… Peter claims not to be feeling well and is taken to GH for medical attention.

Sam realizes Peter is just trying to get close to Maxie.  Nina is still at the hospital with Maxie…she is hesitant to tell Maxie what she knows about Peter.  She leaves without doing so.  She says she’s tired and needs to go; Maxie says okay.  Anna confesses her entire story to Finn; she tells him that’s why she pushed him away… he is very understanding.  She says she compromised herself, ended up pregnant and trashed her career before it even got started.  She tells him she gave the baby away and he was supposed to go to a loving couple, but some other couple took the baby and gave him to Faison.  Finn asks if Faison ever knew she was Peter’s mother; she says he never knew… it was the one gift she could give her son.  He realizes now, he says, why she did the things she did; she feels guilty for not keeping track of her child, saying maybe his life could have been different.  Robert calls Anna, asking for her statement; he tells her Peter is at the hospital… she tells him she will be there soon.

Valentin is released on a technicality and goes to pick up Charlotte from Lulu’s; Lulu tells him she is sleeping and he can leave.  He does, as he makes a comment about her “new pen pal” and Dante asks what he means by that.  Lulu admits that she was writing to Heinrik and confiding in Peter August; he congratulates, sarcastically.  Nina goes home; she tells Valentin she is only there to pack.  He tells her he needs to tell her Peter’s story; he says parts may sound familiar to her.  They sit down and he begins; he mentions seeing Faison mistreat the boy and took him out for pizza one night, beginning a life-long friendship.  He says he saw him trying to escape his father’s shadow, then they got separated until he reached out again, as Peter August.  He says that’s why he protected his secret, because he owed him.  Anna knocks on the door demanding to speak to Valentin; she tells him that he finally got what he wanted – her son almost shot her tonight.  She tells Nina what she doesn’t know about Peter… that Valentin took him and gave him to Faison.  He admits to threatening the adoptive family until they gave him the baby because she didn’t want him.  She tells him to go to hell; he says he is already there.

Maxie is shocked when she sees Peter come into the hospital in handcuffs; he asks for a moment to talk to her and Chase allows it… he confesses to Maxie that he is Heinrik Faison.  She gasps, “no” and begins to cry.  Griffin takes Kiki home; she tells him she wants to drink some more champagne… she asks if he dances.  She recalls being a girl, and says every independent woman remembers watching Cinderela and Beauty and the Best… wishing she could dance at a Ball like that.  She says even the dreams that come true can disappoint you sometimes.  She offers him some champagne, straight from the bottle… he says it’s a first for him.  They get a little tipsy and Kiki talks him into dancing with her; they laugh, stop dancing, and begin to kiss (I was in disbelief that Griffin would do that).  Scenes flash of them in bed; wow.

Sam sees Drew at the hospital; she tells him that Peter paid Faison’s bank manager to leave letters at a drop, and one of them had a flashdrive to his memory in it.  She says if they can find it, they could find a way to restore his memory; he says he doesn’t want to rely on anything Peter has and leaves.  Sam tells Jason, she still wants that flashdrive.  Lulu sits with her computer on her lap, crying; Valentin sits with a drink in hand, watching as Nina rolls her bags out the door.

Tuesday, May 22, 2018 (S56E): The Illusion of Truth

Nina brings Charlotte to Lulu and tells Lulu that she has learned that her husband knows who Heinrik Faison is, and always has known.  Lulu is grateful that Robert stopped him; she thanks Nina for bringing Charlotte to her.  Robert asks Finn to check with the hospital to make sure Anna hasn’t been admitted with a gun shot, courtesy Heinrik Faison.  Jason shows up just in time, before Heinrik has a chance to shoot, he knocks him over the head and holds him at gunpoint him.

Anna argues in Peter’s defense; Anna raises her gun and points it at Jason.  She tells Jason he isn’t taking her anywhere, and she confesses the whole story, telling them both that she is Heinrik’s mother.  She begs Jason to let him go, saying, “he’s my son.”  Finn rounds the corner to hear Anna say this.  He steps out and suggests they both put their guns down.  Sam shows up; Peter says “it’s a party now.”  Anna continues to plead for her son, but Peter looks at her and tells her that she is “just the bitch who gave birth to” him.  Anna puts her gun down when backup arrives; Robert tells the officer that Peter is the “property of the WSB” and they don’t need to be nice to him.  Peter calls Anna “mommy dearest” as they take him away.

Griffin confronts Ava about her song choice, saying it wasn’t the one she had rehearsed; she said the Ball needed a boost, so she made a decision.  He says it was “a slap in the face” and she questions, to whom… he says to Sonny and his family mostly, but to everyone that thought she was a changed woman, including Kiki and him.  Still not knowing the full story, Nina goes to see Maxie; Maxie shows her the virtual visitation tablet.  She apologizes to Maxie for not being there; Maxie tells her it’s okay, because Peter took care of everything.

Michael finds Kiki and she confesses to him what’s been going on with Dr. Bensch; he asks if she’s reported it… she says no.  “It’s not that big of a deal,” she claims.  Michael tells her she has to report it, reminding her that he is on the board and the board needs to know if she’s being sexually harassed at work.  She tells him it is going to blow over, she’s sure and begs him not to say anything. Nina is in shock when Dante tells her that Peter August is Hienrik Faison; she looks at Maxie and tells him she’ll have to call him back.

Monday, May 21, 2018 (S56E34): The Curtains Close

Valentin Cassidine is arrested when Robert gets out of the prison he was locked in.  The Nurses Ball includes another unexpected disruption, as Valentin is arrested.  Peter offers to drive Maxie home; she goes into labor on the way there.  They pull over and lay her down on a blanket; Peter helps deliver the baby.  It’s a little boy; he calls for the ambulance.  Kiki notices a strap loose on her dress and goes to fix it; we see Dr. Bensch eyeballing her as she walks away.  Amy takes her dress, leaving her in her slip, and Bensch walks in.  Luckily, Griffin walks in immediately after; Kiki asks Bensch what he is doing there. He claims he was looking for the men’s room; Kiki cries and thanks him, crying… she hugs him.  Ava walks by and sees them hugging again.

Mike disappears from the table, and next thing we know he is up on stage; he grabs the Mike and starts to speak.  He asks the piano player to play a son and he begins to sing, saying “the show must go on.”  He sings beautifully, “I lost you to the Summer Wind” – he gets lost partway through, though, and Sonny jumps onto the stage to finish the song with him.  Adorable.  Ava follows that act with her number; “You Don’t Own Me” dressed in a stylish white suit and surrounded by male dancers in tuxedos; this could be a direct message to Griffin.  Well done, though.

Bobbie gets angry with Scotty for standing and clapping for Ava, and sends him to another table.  Lucy apologizes to Sonny, saying that wasn’t the number they had rehearsed at all; Sonny says he has not problem with the number.  Olivia congratulates Cook 2 on the meal planning and offers her a job as the main chef in the Metro Court kitchen; she considers it.  Curtis pulls out the ring and asks Jordan to marry him in front of everybody; she says yes and they kiss.  Robert asks Robyn where her mother is; she says she took off after she got a message on her phone.

Nina finds Valentin in the hall, and asks how long he has known who Heinrik Faison is and why he didn’t tell her.  The baby is taken to ICU and Maxie is put in a room; Kim brings her a tablet with a video connection to her baby’s bed.  Peter goes to meet Anna; he is surprised it is her.  He pulls out a gun; Jason and Sam and Spenelli all head out to find her.

Friday, May 18, 2018 (S56E33): It's All About Love

Nina isn’t thrilled when Valentin tells her he has bought tickets and wants to whisk her away, tonight; she tells him she can’t go… but she will consider taking a vacation after the Nurses’ Ball.  Kiki is stuck working… Bensch overhears her tell her friend she wont make it.  Then he tells her to go.  Kiki is surprised to see Dr. Bensch shows up as well. Robert is locked in a cell somewhere; he sits down on the bed and grabs his left arm, and falls to the floor.

The Nurses’ Ball kicks off; the commentators are there as usual, welcoming everyone as they walk down the red carpet.  Jos is going with Oscar of course; they take adorable pictures together; Elizabeth comes in and Franco makes a big deal of announcing her, taking the announcer’s microphone away and telling the world she is the woman he loves.  Jordan and Curtis come in, looking good.  Valentin comes in and takes pictures with Nina, who is one of the commentators; Finn and Alexis come together, but he is distracted with Anna walks in and Alexis notices it.  Nina announces Maxie as her own sister in law, escorted by the CEO of Aurora; he says he can’t wait because he has been told to “expect the unexpected.”

Jason asks Anna if she has heard anything back from Hienrik; she denies so.  He says he knows she doesn’t want him to find him first, (and kill him, Anna adds)… he says he doesn’t want her to walk into a trap, so he asks her to stick to the plan and do this together.  She says of course.  Mike tells Sonny he wants to go to the Nurses Ball; Stella agrees it might be good for him and Mike asks Stella to be his date.  The three of them go together.  With Robyn by her side, at the Ball, Anna gives a touching explanation of what the Nurses’ Ball is all about.

Spenelli is tickled when he sees Sam come in; he insists Maxie go sit down.  Sam looks at Peter suspiciously, as she thanks him for looking out for Maxie.  Olivia forgets to line up the dinner for the Ball; she begs Cook 2 to do it for her.  Cook 2 is a bitch about it and makes Olivia promise to stay out of the Quartermaine kitchen from here on out; Olivia begrudgingly agrees.  Lucy brings out a Llama, for whatever reason, as her co-host on stage; how silly.

Tuesday, May 15, 2018 (S56E32): Lay it On Thick

Nelle wakes up in the hospital.  She sees Michael sitting there, closes her eyes again and screams “No Carly.”  He runs to her side, trying to ignore the accusation against his mother and simply be there to comfort Nelle.  She breathes heavily and grabs him, saying she was so scared.  He tells her it’s okay, he’s there; she smiles over his shoulder.  Carly is charged with two counts of attempted murder.  She says, “Nelle set me up.”  She is taken to the interrogation room; her anxiety meds are returned to her, since they say “as needed”.  Jason stands in Carly’s defense, saying he will find out who took the blanket.  Peter checks his email again; he goes to look across the room where Anna is sitting… she puts down her computer lid.  She asks what his business there is; he says he wants to know how far she will go… what rules she will break to get a to the truth.  He says it has come to his attention that Robert Scorpio may have linked Nina Reeves' husband to Cesar Faison; Anna says that’s news to her.  Anna tells him that Nina is her friend and Maxie is her god-daughter, so she would do anything to protect them, and won’t be threatened.  She says she will try to get ahold of Robert and see what she can find out; Peter leaves.

Griffin finds Anna; he asks if she is still looking for Hienrik Faison.  He warns her of the risks involved; but she argues that she has to take that risk to warn him that he might have Huntington’s disease.  Griffin gets called back to the hospital; he stops by Peters office and tells him he should get out of Port Charles while he still can.  Drew asks Andre about trying to restore his memory; Andre says he is hesitant to try that experimental procedure.  Valentin tells Peter he has ruined them; he is upset that Griffin knows he is Faison’s son.  Peter suggest Valentin “get rid of” Anna, like he did Robert.  Valentin calls and reserves three first class tickets; two adults, one child.  He says they are one way; they are not coming back.  Sonny tells Jason he is afraid Carly is breaking down; not like it hasn’t happened before.  Lucy works frantically getting everything prepared for the Nurses’ Ball; Alexis and Finn prepare for their part… a presentation of a trophy for Alexis.  She drops her bag; Finn sees Anna’s Last Will and Testament.

Ava has a number planned and Griffin tells her she is going to be great… he gives her some flowers.  She goes to see Nelle, to show her that she has the blanket.  She tells her she is hanging onto it for safe keeping; it would prove Carly’s side of the story.  Dante comes in the clarify exactly what happened before she fell; Ava sticks the blanket back in her purse.  Nelle tells her story, claiming Carly followed her to the nursery and berated her; said everyone would be better off without her.  She tries to stop short of the play-by-play description, but then musters one up and adds a lot of things that weren’t said and denies fighting over any blanket.  Ava defends her statement and tells them that’s enough questioning. Michael tells Nelle she needs to try to rest now; she insists he go to the Nurses’ Ball, but he says no.  He is staying with her.  Dante comes in and tells Sonny and Jason they have to go; he places Carly under arrest for assault and two counts of attempted murder.
