11-23-2016 (Wednesday)

Dillon comes into the living room of the Quartermaine mansion asking what is going on; someone left a ransom note on his bed and took some of his work things… Monica and Ned say the same thing happened to them.  Tracy shows up and tells everyone to quit whining, promising they’ll get their stuff back; she says they are going to celebrate this holiday like a happy family.  She chews Dillon out for trying to avoid her and then Ned; they explain, they know how it goes every year – they try to have a nice turkey dinner and end up ordering pizza.  Tracy says not this year; she tries to engage them, but fails.  She gets frustrated and gives them their items back; she has a drink.  They all apologize; they say they understand why she is trying to gather them together and they all hug and tell each other happy Thanksgiving.  Although they think they are going to enjoy a turkey dinner, finally, they think the cook may have mixed up the brine with Finn’s bacteria, and order pizza.  They take turns telling each other what they are thankful for and they sing.

Nelle shows up at Carly’s with a thanksgiving dinner from the store; Michael brought pies and Jax did some cooking.  Carly feels bad because she didn’t even think about making dinner; everyone tells her she deserves to relax.  Olivia shows up with some paperwork; she is surprised to see Carly as she thought she would be with Sonny now.  She doesn’t understand why Carly wouldn’t be there, telling her he wouldn’t ever change his ways for anyone before, but he did it for her and that should tell her everything she needs to know.  After Laura leaves, Sonny gets good and drunk; he calls Carly, but she has walked away from her phone and is hugging Jax when Nelle picks up her phone.  She decides not to interrupt them and sits the phone back down; he leaves her a short but sweet message.  Nelle grabs her coat and starts to head out; Michael asks where she’s going.  She says she had make plans with another friend who is alone today; he says that’s a lucky friend.  She wishes everyone a happy thanksgiving.  As Carly sits with her family, she looks at Michael and sees Sonny, she asks where Nelle is and Michael tells her she had someone she needed to see.  Sonny answers a knock at his door again; it’s Nelle.  She asks if she can come in; he says sure.  She says she felt a little out of place there, and lets it slip that Jax is comforting Carly.  She says she may have misunderstood; he demands to know what she means, asking if something is going on between them.  She says it was probably nothing; Jax is just here to help her.  He demands to know, yelling at her; she spurts out that she saw Carly and Jax kissing.

Lulu and Dante are at Maxie’s; Kevin shows up, without Laura.  Laura calls to tell Lulu she has to make a detour and will be there soon.  Dante calls his father to find out how he is holding up; Sonny asks how his grandson is… Dante offers to bring some dinner over to him.  He tells Dante that Lulu would ‘have their heads’ and says he will be fine; tells him to spend the day wit his family.  He wishes him a happy Thanksgiving and hangs up; there’s a knock at his door… it’s Laura.  He’s happy to see her; they talk about Spencer and she says she misses him.  But him being gone makes her realize how thankful she is for what she does have; she says she knew that he would be the one person who knows how she feels today.  She tells Sonny that people care about him, and even though some people may have forgotten that right now, they will come back and when they do, she says, he shouldn’t push them away.  Back at Maxie’s, Dante and Lulu surprise everyone by telling them that they are getting married again.  Olivia arrives.  Lulu looks stunning in a beautiful red gown, the ceremony is simple yet elegant; she tells Dante he is her “good thing”… they exchange vows, as the scene flashes from family to family, and to Sonny sitting on the floor, drunk and alone.

Alexis tells Julian she wouldn’t dream of letting him stop her; she takes a drink.  She tells him to go away because he is violating a court order by being in ‘her space’ – he says he will leave, just as soon as he calls Sam to tell her what’s on her menu tonight.  She gets pissy, asking him if he is really going to tattle on her to Sam; he says he sees it as stopping her downward spiral.  She explains to Julian that Sam is happy right now and she doesn’t want to trouble her with this; she admits she is drinking too much, she knows that.  She grabs his hand and asks him, sweetly, please… but when he tries to convince her that she could always come to him for help, she says she would sooner die and takes another drink.  She tells him she doesn’t need him; she has her family and friends, and she’s getting her license back.  He says he worries about her prospective clients, and says he is going to get her the help she needs.  She runs out of the bar, gets into her car and speeds off, running Julian over in the process

11-22-2016 (Tuesday)

Jordan and Andre come into the diner, where TJ is working; they wish him a happy Thanksgiving.  He is working to save money for college, but will be done in time for dinner at Molly’s mom’s house.  Jordan says it was really sweet of Alexis to invite them all for dinner.

As Alexis prepares, she recalls last year’s Thanksgiving with Julian.  Molly and Kristina have helped prepare the food, which was mostly catered apparently; Sam arrives, without Danny.  She says Jason, Danny and Jake decided to stay home and watch football; she didn’t want the distraction there, she says, so they are giving thanks in their own way.  Alexis tells the girls that the board is reconsidering her suspension; Kristina says that calls for a toast.  Jordan and Andre arrive; Molly offers them a glass of champaigne.  Sam goes to the kitchen to get sparkling cider for her and her mother; Alexis looks longingly at everybody else’s drinks.

As the evening progresses, she continues to be entranced by them… she glances over at the bottles on the table.  She offers to help Molly whip the whipped cream, and clumsily drops the bowl, and says that was the only box she bought, thereby making an excuse for herself to leave the house; she says she is not coming back without whipped cream.  She sends a text to the girls, saying that Diane and Max had a fight and she is going to console Diane; they all three look confused.  She sits at a bar, having a drink, staring at a text from Julian.  Andre gets a call from a client, needing a phone consultation; he tells Jordan that he should probably go meet with this client.  She tells him they can leave, even though she is still talking to Curtis.  He says he called the night he found information and Andre told him not to bother her anymore, so that’s what he’s done; he says the ‘good doctor’ staked his claim, possibly sensing the rhythm that they used to have together, and suggests that they she and her shrink seek couples therapy.

Ava shows up at the Metro Court with Avery to see Kiki; Kiki is happy and says she will be able to take a break in just a minute.  Julian shows up; he and Ava talk.  Julian tells Kiki that he would like to set aside their issues and come together as a family for the holiday; Kiki says no.  She gives her mother a wishbone and says she thinks she could use it.  She offers to share it with Julian; he loses.  He wishes her a happy Thanksgiving and leaves; she plays with the new little actress playing Avery, who is very talkative.  Cute.  Kiki sits down and talks to her for a minute; she tells her mom she still feels guilty for wanting to break up with Morgan that night.  Kiki then tells her mom that Sonny is home now, and will probably want Avery back with him soon.

Scotty talks Lucy into meeting him for drinks in his hotel room; she says she knows that he is probably paying somebody to break into her room as they speak.  Then she laughs and shows Scott the bottle, still with pills in it, that she has with her in her purse… Scotty smiles as he smirks that she is always one step ahead of him; they start kissing.  He tries to make her think that he is willing to work with her to blackmail Ava; she tells him to convince her.  He grabs her and they fall on the bed; they make love.  Lucy gets out of bed to run to the bathroom; Scotty looks at the safe where she put the pills for safe-keeping.  She teases Scotty with the bottle of pills as she is leaving.  He goes back and tells Ava that he managed to get into the safe, and switched the pills in the bottle back to Lithium, so no one will know she was feeding sugar-pills to Morgan.

Dillon talks to his mom; he apologizes for not being able to make it to dinner, saying he is busy working.  He pretends he’s getting another call to get off the phone.  She calls again later; he makes up another excuse, saying they are calling back.  He goes to pick up an order at the diner, and to see Kiki; tells her he is avoiding the holiday when she asks why he is working today.  She tells him that the restaurant ran out of Turkey dinner, but she has a turkey burger prepared for him.  He invites her to join him, if she doesn’t have to get back to work; she tells him her shift is over, so she agrees to stay.  He cuts the burger in half and they wish each other a happy Thanksgiving.  Julian meets with some man, at a pub, saying he really needs for this deal to go through; the man nods his head, they shake hands and he leaves.  Julian turns around and sees Alexis sitting at the bar.  He sits down beside her and tells her not to let him stop her, as she begins to lift her drink.

11-21-2016 (Monday)

Dante tells Jordan that it is possible someone else is responsible for the car bomb; she asks if he is having trouble being impartial.  He swears he’s not but says they have to look at every option, not just the easy ones.  Michael come to support his father at his arraignment; Diane lets Jordan know that she intends to have this case thrown out, as Sonny’s so-called confession was only the musing of a grieving father.  She manages to get Sonny released, and placed on house arrest instead, pending a hearing.  Sonny is fitted with an ankle monitor.  Diane assures him by the time of trial, Jason will have found evidence about who really put the bomb there; she says they have the bonus of him actually being innocent, which is not always the case.

Jax pushes Carly way and tells her that they shouldn’t be kissing; she is still grieving, and still hung up on Sonny… he tells her she doesn’t need to be embarrassed about kissing him though, assuring her that he is still her friend and is here for her.  She begins talking about Sonny and how empty she feels right now; she says she wishes she would have stepped back and long time ago; Jax tells her “you can’t help who you love.”  Dante shows up at the door; he fills Carly in on the details of the arraignment; she thanks him for the information and he says he has to go.

Sam and Jason look further for any information on Oscar Jessup, or anyone that knew him; they fear they are running out of time, since Sonny’s arraignment is this morning.  They try to figure out how they can see what was going on outside of the Floating Rib that night; the police have the survielence footage from the Floating Rib and they can’t look at it.  They think about security footage from other businesses nearby; Curtis walks in and tells them that he has footage from the mini-mart across the street on his phone – it has everything that happened in the parking lot that night, but he says, a delivery van pulled up and blocked the view of Julian’s car after Pete walked away from it.  Jason asks Curtis why he is still interested if Julian fired him; he says there was something about the way he fired him that doesn’t feel right, besides, he wants to see this through.  They shake hands and agree to work together.

Nelle asks Kiki how she is doing, noting that she understands how hard it must be for her given how things ended with her and Morgan.  Kiki says she hates how things ended; Morgan deserved better.  Nelle says she hates how his death is tearing his family apart.  Kiki tells Nelle this is not the first time Sonny and Carly had broken up.  She starts asking a lot of questions about their relationship, break-ups and marriages; then she asks about Carly and Jax.  When she leaves, she tells Kiki it was really nice talking to her.  She takes Carly the guest book from Morgan’s service and offers to put it in her office for her; she overhears Carly and Jax talking about the kiss, and not wanting anyone to know about it.  She smiles.

Hayden wakes up to Tracy staring at her; Tracy claims that she just wanted to make sure she hadn’t run off with the good china.  Hayden gives her hard time for actually caring; Finn comes in and Hayden asks when she can get out of bed.  She swears she is feeling all better; Finn says they need to wait for the test results before getting excited.  Curtis shows up; Hayden is happy to see him.  He says he just wanted to see for himself that she was doing better; she tells him she is actually really scared.  He tells her he is sure she will be fine; she’s a fighter.  Finn and Tracy excuse themselves; out in the hall, Tracy tells Finn she is worried.  She asks how he is doing because she knows he’s running low on his medication; he says he is okay, for now.  He tells Tracy that he wants her to let Hayden stay there, even though she’s getting better; she says she will talk to Monica.  Tracy tells Hayden that she is welcome to stay as long as she likes, but of course, Hayden has to be difficult.  She asks Tracy why she wants her to stay; Tracy says Finn will be mad at them both if she doesn’t.  Finn gets the call about Hayden’s test results.

11-18-2016 (Friday)

Elizabeth immediately reaches in her purse (fumbling) and grabs her mace, telling Baker to stay away from her; he retreats without hesitation and tells her he is not going to hurt her.  He says she didn’t have to send her boyfriend after him; she says she didn’t, but she understands why he went there, adding he’s lucky he only told him to stay away from her.  He laughs and says Franco must have left out the part where he almost choked him to death.  He shows her the marks on his neck; she turns and walks away… he tells her to tell her boyfriend that he is not a threat to her.  She turns around and says that he will always be a threat to her, alive or dead, because of what he took from her.  She leaves without getting the donuts.  She confronts Franco when she gets back to the hospital; he admits it but swears that he was only trying to scare him.  She calls that a lie of omission and says she is questioning now whether they can make it as a couple or not.  She tells him she doesn’t want him going to jail, because that would take him away from her; she makes him promise that he will not go after him again.

Charlotte tells the judge that she calls Valentin “poppa” but Anna argues that’s only because he has coached her to call him that; so the judge asks her, but Charlotte says she knows he is her poppa, she remembers living with him and she loves him.  Anna shows the judge additional papers that show what a violent threat Valentin is, and that he didn’t even exist until a few years ago (having gone back to his family name only recently).  The judge breaks to review the evidence and make her decision.  Valentin confronts Griffin in the hallway, saying that he doesn’t think any of them will see Claudette again; Griffin punches him in the face.  The judge comes out and asks if they would like to come in and hear her decision; she tells them she cannot condone any physical violence.  But she assures them her decision is not based on what just happened; she tells them it is clear that Charlotte loves her father and is not afraid of him and she awards full, legal and physical custody of Charlotte to Valentin Cassidine.  Griffin is clearly upset.  The judge gives him a moment to say goodbye to Charlotte; he tells her she may not see much of him anymore, but he wants her to know that even though he isn’t her dad, she is in his heart just the same and he will always be there for her.  She hugs him.  Valentin whispers in Anna’s ear, “open your eyes” in Latin; she looks horrified as he takes Charlotte’s hand and leaves the room with her.

Curtis meets Julian and tells him he has been digging into Oscar Jessup again… Julian gets a phone call and leaves the table.  Curtis sees Diane picking up her check; he jumps up and grabs it from her, saying, “allow me.”  She asks to what she owes this unexpected generosity; Curtis sits down and says he wants to talk about her client.  He asks why Sonny clammed up at the police station after confessing at the church; she says he was just exercising his right to stay silent… Curtis says Jason must have said something to him and he wants to know what.  Diane refuses to give him any information but thanks him for picking up her check.  When Julian returns, Curtis tells him that he is certain Jessup planted that bomb; Julian tells him he needs to find new employment.

Joslyn tells her dad she wants him to stay for Thanksgiving; Carly argues that he probably can’t because he has things to get back to… Jax says his family here needs him right now and he will stay as long as they want.  Carly offers to put him up at the Metro Court; Joslyn says she wants him to stay with them.  Carly says of course he can stay; Jos excuses herself to go do a book report, while Jax and Carly talk.  She tells him she just doesn’t know how to move through this; he puts his arm around her and says they can try, together.  Joslyn comes out and sees them; she smiles.  They continue to talk and end up kissing after Carly says she wishes sometimes that she had fought harder for them.  Sonny has a nightmare while sleeping in his cell; Carly brings Morgan’s ashes in an urn and tries to show them to him.

Jason shows up and tells him that the bomb, in fact, had nothing to do with him or the contract he put out on Julian; but they still have to find out who put it there.  Sonny says there’s no need to; he’s going to do his time and it doesn’t matter anymore.  Jason tells him he needs to keep fighting, for his kids, his family… Avery can’t grow up with Ava Jerome, he reminds him.  The guard tells Jason he has to go now; Jason ask if Sonny knows the name Oscar Jessup… he was a contractor that did work for the Jeromes, Sonny tells him.  Sonny gets ready for his arraignment; when Diane shows up, he tells her he is not going to plead guilty anymore.

Franco runs into Sam in the hallway at the hospital; he apologizes to her for everything he has ever done to her and says he hopes she can find it in her heart, one day, to forgive him.  When Sam meets Jason at the bar, she tells him about the meeting with Franco, telling him that his apology seemed somewhat sincere but she feels that he is only using her to ease his conscience and she doesn’t know what Elizabeth is thinking, getting involved with him.  Jason tells her that Sonny told him who Jessup was; she says Spenelli is looking into the records as they speak.  Oscar has been dead since 1990, she finds out.  Julian is on the phone with someone, who he calls “Jessup,” saying he has done everything he asked for months now and asking when enough will be enough.

11-17-2016 (Thursday)

Jax comes back to the bar the next morning, after realizing he forgot his credit card.  The bartender tells him that he was sorry to see he wasn’t the one to ‘seal the deal’ with his lady-friend last night… he tells him someone else got lucky instead.  Jax shows him a picture on his phone and the bartender says that was her; he tells him he heard them mention something about a motel across the street.  Alexis wakes up, half naked, on a bed she doesn’t recognize; the shower is running in the bathroom… and the carpet in front of the bathroom door is wet.  Alexis has flashbacks of the evening (sitting at the table with this man, drinking one drink after another, laughing, him complimenting her, her falling for it); she quickly starts getting dressed to sneak out, but then she decides she needs to go to the bathroom, I guess;.  She asks the man how long he’s going to be in there and gets no response, which is when she steps onto the wet carpet – she asks if he’s alright and decides to open the door when he still doesn’t answer.  Oddly, no one is in there.  She wonders what the hell happened.  She thinks again; she remembers the man bringing up Franco – she laughed and more or less tells the guy she knows Franco.  When he asks if she has anything to do with him, she laughs again and doesn’t give him a straight answer – he freaks and decides not to mess with her; she didn’t sleep with him.  So what?

There comes a knock at the door.  It’s the motel manager; he’s pissed she left the water on all night (it leaked somewhere) and he goes into the bathroom ro check… Jax shows up at the door.  He tells her he didn’t buy her excuse of wanting to stay to get some work and phone calls done; she just wanted to be alone to “tie one on.”  He tells her he heard she met someone too, to which she smirks; the manager comes out complaining about how she flooded the whole damn bathroom and will have to pay for it.  Jax pulls out his phone to call the girls; Alexis cannot believe he is going to “tattle” on her.  She gets angry and tells him she doesn’t need an intervention, nor does she need his judgment.  So she had too much to drink last night, and talked to a stranger, declaring she did not have a one-nighter, however, making the point that none of it is his business.  He thinks that her family should know about it, he tells her, because he sees a bigger problem here.  To persuade him to drop it, she says maybe Joslyn’s family should know about his little investment in that kidney; he is stunned, says he told her that in confidence, and she retaliates with the fact that she needs likewise confidence; she asks if he is going to call her daughters, or if she is going to call Carly.  Jax agrees not to call the girls, but begs Alexis to pull herself together for everyone that loves her.

Carly tells Nelle that she went to see Sonny last night; Michael comes in and asks Nelle if she has been studying… they fill Carly in on their Chess game and upcoming rematch.  Carly says she needs to talk to Michael and they sit down at a table; she tells him she is glad to see that he and Nelle are becoming friends.  They discuss the friendship and the possibility that it always could become more.  Meanwhile, Nelle is behind the bar, getting into Carly’s purse; she finds a bundle of money and sticks it in her purse, just as Bobbi walks up and asks if she found anything interesting.  Haha… it’s the cash from last night’s bar receipts; Carly gave her specific instructions to take it and deposit it for her.  Bobbi is still suspicious of her.

Michael tells Nelle he notices a change from when she first came there (not nearly as defensive, he insinuates), as they laugh about Bobbi’s suspicion.  Carly asks Bobbi what it is she doesn’t like about Nelle; she can’t tell her, because she doesn’t know, but she insists there is something about her she doesn’t trust.  Then she tells Carly Monica wants her to come back to work at GH, wanting some familiar faces there after re-opening.  As Nelle gets on the elevator to go make the deposit, she says to herself (smiling), “that went well.”

Anna and Griffin prepare to go to court; Valentin comes into the diner where they are having lunch with Charlotte.  He takes Charlotte aside and talks to her, then tells her goodbye in French along with an un-translated message, and tells Griffin and Anna he will see them in court.  They meet in a mediation room, where a judge enters… she welcomes Commissioner Devane, and recognizes the other two parties, then explains that her decision will be binding and they proceed.  Anna shows that they do not dispute Mr. Cassidine’s parentage, only his fitness; she begins to present her case.  The judge asks where the mother is, and Anna tells her she boarded a plane for Calgary, but when the plane landed, she was not on it; everyone looks at Valentin.  Anna continues; she provides the entire history of Valentin’s actions in the past year (the judge is definitely troubled); Valentin then presents his evidence, his dismissal of charges from the Greek court, Affidavits about what a liar Claudette is, etc.  The judge says she needs to hear from the child herself at the juncture; she tells Anna her testimony is essential.

Elizabeth is not happy with Franco; she reminds him that what he did was trespassing.  When Franco tells her that he got the message across and Tom Baker basically begged for his life, she gets even more upset.  She tells Franco she didn’t want him to do that.  He promises never to lie to her again, declaring his love for her; she hugs him and tells him they are good.  He asks her out to dinner; she tells him she has to go get donuts.  On her way to the diner, she runs into Tom Baker.

11-16-2016 (Wednesday)

Franco greets Elizabeth's attacker with a fireplace poker; they wrestle a bit and he throws the man down on the couch.  The man tells him he was in jail for extortion against Emily Quartermaine, not rape; Franco says he knows there is no record of what he did to Elizabeth, but he also knows he did it… and he wants to make sure he is going to leave her alone, now holding the poker to his face.  He introduces himself; the man says he’s heard of him… Franco tells him he thinks there may still be some of that sadistic person he was in him – the man swears he changed; he says he isn’t the same man that did those things to Elizabeth and Emily.  Franco holds him down on the couch using the poker handle to apply pressure against his throat, as he tells him what a badass he is and that he will kill him if he comes near Elizabeth again.  Liz is concerned when Franco returns to the hospital; she asks him what he was thinking going to that man’s house.  Franco tells her that he wanted to make sure the man never bothered her again.

Michael tells Nelle if she really wants to help him, she can distract him; give him anything else to think about other than the fact that his brother is gone, his dad is responsible and his mom may never forgive him.  She offers to play a game with him, suggesting backgammon.  He suggests Chess, and she hesitates, saying she is not a strategic thinker like him.  He talks her into it anyway, and lets her think she is winning, until he calls check-mate.  He asks for a rematch and they have a slightly intimate moment (a hand touch), then Nelle tells him they can’t get close, and she leaves.  Kiki talks to her mom about Morgan’s funeral; her mom admits that she was there.  She says she snuck in as everyone else was leaving; Kiki is surprised.  Ava argues that she needed closure too.

Scotty meets with Lucy, attempting to wine and dine her in an effort to get his hands on the bottle of pills Ava threw away (full of the placebos); Lucy figures out what he’s up to.  She tells him to man up and admit it.  He claims he is trying to get Ava too, and suggests they work together; Lucy considers it.  Hayden wakes up; she says she feels horrible.  Finn has her set up at Tracy’s with all the equipment he needs to take care of her.  When he tells Hayden he quit, she asks how he is going to keep working on a cure.  He says he has everything he needs to manage her illness; manage, but not cure, she says, realizing she is dying.  Elizabeth appears in the doorway; Hayden assumes she is happy about that fact.  However, she is really bringing supplies for Haden, at Finn’s request; she tells him, next time, a little honesty would be appreciated.

Carly comes to see Sonny; she tells him that she doesn’t want to see him locked up.  She asks him what he is going to do if Jason finds the person responsible for Morgan’s death; she questions if he will retaliate, like he tried to do with Julian Jerome.  He tells her he isn’t thinking that far ahead; he says he was ready to make a full confession, until Jason came in to tell him that it was really somebody else that killed Morgan.

Alexis has a drink with Jax; she tells him she feels like Morgan is dead because she let Julian back into her life.  He tells her she can’t think that; she says she does… she is the reason this all got out of control.  He says sometimes love comes back to haunt them, and admits that he did something several years ago that may disrupt Carly’s life.  He tells her when Jos needed the donor, he would have paid anything to find a kidney; he said he put out ‘feelers’ on the black market – he bought Jos’ kidney.  Alexis suggests he tell Carly; he says he can’t, at least, not right now after just losing Morgan.  He says they should go; Alexis tells him she wants to stay and he heads out.  Alexis asks the bartender to bring her another drink; when he does, she asks him to run her tab.  A man sits down and says that won’t be necessary because it’s on him (obviously trying to pick her up).

11-15-2016 (Tuesday)

Anna tells Valentine that even though he is Charlotte’s biological father, that doesn’t give him custody; she says Griffin was trusted with Charlotte’s care and if she has anything to do with it, Valentin never will get custody.  Jordan is concerned about Dante being involved with Sonny’s questioning; he asks if she wants to remove him from the case.  She says she trusts him; he says he can do it.  As he starts into the interrogation room, Diane shows up and tells them that she wants to talk to her client alone.  Dante tells Diane it’s too late; Sonny already confessed in front of numerous witnesses.  Jason sneaks in and tells Sonny that he is not responsible for Morgan’s death; he says he doesn’t know who did it yet, but he knows it wasn’t him.

Jordan isn’t happy to see Jason in the interrogation room when she comes back in; Dante asks Jason if he is trying to cover something up.  Jason says that is the last thing he wants to do.  Jordan and Dante are disappointed, but Diane is thrilled, when Sonny says that he has changed his mind and has nothing to say after all.  Dante asks him what Jason could have said that changes everything… he doesn’t explain, only saying he is taking the advice of his lawyer.  Diane says she can argue that he was speaking metaphorically in the church, as a grieving parent would do, taking responsibility for his inadequacies.

Franco goes looking for the man who raped Elizabeth, who is now out on parole.  He told Olbrecht he just wants to ‘size him up’ and do whatever he needs to do to make sure Elizabeth is safe.  He finds the address the man was paroled to, in a not-so-good part of town.  At the hospital, Olbrecht confronts Elizabeth and is obviously angry with her, but doesn’t explain why; as she turns, she drops the note that has the address on it, which she had taken from Franco.  The man refuses to open the door when Franco knocks, but is watching from inside; he follows Franco after he leaves.  Franco somehow sneaks back around and goes into the guy’s house; he is sitting there when the man comes back in.  He asks if he is a friend of his brother’s; Franco smiles and shakes his head no, saying he is a good friend of his rape victim, Elizabeth Webber.

Nina talks to Valentin; he asks if he can call her as a character witness.  She tries to tell him she isn’t taking sides, but he says she already has; she is on Charlotte’s side, and he can’t be more grateful.  He tells her she would be a wonderful mother; she smiles.  Nelle talks to Michael and tells him that he shouldn’t have to be the one to fix everything; he says it’s what he does… he fixes things.  She asks who fixes him; she tells him he has to allow himself to grieve – he says he can’t right now because he has to be the one to hold his family together.

Jason goes to find Carly, who stops him before he can even say anything; she tells him she doesn’t want to heart anything more about Sonny.  He tells her she has to hear this; he tells her that Sonny’s guy did NOT plant that bomb…he got the message in time.  She asks who put it there then; Jason promises her he will find out.  Jordan goes forward with placing Sonny under arrest, for the attempted murder of Julian Jerome, and for the death of his son.

11-14-2016 (Monday)

So as Sonny says this is the only way he knows how to gives Morgan peace, and holds the gun up, he talks about how violence has smothered his life, and smothered his son’s life – and how Morgan is not going to have the chance to do what he wanted to do because of him; he takes full responsibility for Morgan’s death.  He sits the gun down on the banister and apologizes directly to Carly for breaking his promise; he then tells Michael he was right about Morgan’s ability to forgive.  He takes the clip out of his gun and gives it to Jason; he puts his hands out and tells Dante to go ahead and do what he needs to do.

Dante and Jordan take Sonny in to the station for questioning; he says he doesn’t need a lawyer.  Jason shows up and says he has already called Diane; Sonny says he deserves to go to prison for the rest of his life.  Sonny says he needs to know the whole story; he tells him he knows what happened that night.  Nelle comes to deliver Sonny’s note to Carly – Michael tells her he’s not sure it’s a good idea; Nelle suggests going by the Metro Court to pick up the flowers that were delivered for the now cancelled reception and taking them to Carly’s to cheer her up.

Laura comes to Wyndemere to collect the last of her things; Valentin shows up right behind her.  He makes his intentions to move in known; Laura assures him she’s leaving.  He tells her she is welcome to stay, then says he has somewhere to go.  Kevin shows up and suggests she move in with him.  He says he has an extra room, but Laura says she has already arranged to stay with Dante and Lulu; she is hesitant because they just started their relationship again.  He reminds her that time spent with her made it worth taking a bullet; they kiss.  Lulu shows up; Laura tells her she needs to take her up on her offer to come stay with them.

Nina is watching Charlotte for Anna and Griffin, who find Valentin there when they come back; unfortunately, at that moment, the DNA results come in to Griffin’s phone; Charlotte IS Valtenin’s biological daughter.  Valentin says he is going to take his daughter home now; Anna steps in front of him and says she isn’t going to let him do that, regardless of the test results.

11-03-2016 (Thursday) Out of Order...sorry.

Nelle brings files into Carly and asks what else she can do; Carly tells her to hold her calls.  Sonny walks in.  She asks Nelle to wait and asks Sonny what he wants; he gives her a folder, saying he has set up a foundation for kids with mental illness.  She agrees to help try to get people to donate; she asks Nelle to give them a minute.  Then she lays into Sonny again for his part in Morgan’s death, saying he can start all the foundations he wants, but it won’t take away his responsibility in this.  He says he knows; he asks if he can speak at Morgan’s memorial; Carly says, of course.

Jason demands that Curtis tell him what he is hiding; he shows him some form on his phone that, he says, is all he needs to connect Sonny to the bombing.  Jason laughs at the evidence and says that doesn’t connect sonny to the bombing in any way; Curtis says we’ll see.  He leaves; Carly shows up.  She shows him the folder Sonny gave her; he looks at the amount of the donation and senses something is wrong.  Nelle comes in and hears Sonny talking to himself; she tells him it sounds like he is planning on leaving town – he asks her to forget what she heard.  He says he needs to do this his way; she agrees, except to say that if he does leave, then she will have to tell Carly what she heard.  That’s fine he says; none of this will matter then.  He writes a note and puts it in an envelope.

Dante calls Lulu into the station to show her that they have Daphne in the interrogation room.  When they inquire as to how she ended up on Cassadine Island, she tells them that Helena had hired her to come there… to bare her grandchild.  Daphne tells her that she was paid to carry an embryo that Starvros had sired; Lulu gets excited, but then Daphne tells her it never actually happened.  Helena called off the deal at the last minute; she said she seemed defeated that day – she had been told the embryo was no longer viable and had been disposed of.  (We’ve heard that one before.)  She tells Lulu she is sorry for their loss; the guards come in to take her for arraignment.  Dante comforts Lulu; she tells him that she realizes how blessed they are to have Rocco and that’s enough for her.

Maxie meets with Nina; Nina asks when they were going to tell her that she is “no longer an Aunt.”  Maxie explains that she and Nathan have been a little busy, with her being kidnapped and him barely rescuing her in time.  Then she mentions crossing Valentin; Nina says, “wait, what?”  Maxie remembers that she and Valentin had been intimate; she apologizes.  Nina tells her its okay, reminding her that she helped turn him in before.  Maxie panics, saying she needs protection in case Valentin wants revenge; Nina tells her revenge is the last thing on his mind.  Griffin calls to check on Charlotte; Nathan comes to talk to him.  He says someone has been asking questions about Charlotte.  He tells him he needs to establish his paternity ASAP because, as it is (since he is not on the birth certificate), Charlotte is technically a ward of the state, with her mother having abandoned her.  Griffin worries that filing paperwork to get custody of Charlotte will alert Valentin to the fact that she is still here in town.  Griffin asks a nurse how long the lab holds on to past DNA evidence; she says 90 days.  He asks for Brad Cooper to run a DNA comparison; he gives his sample.

Anna goes to Valentin’s hotel room; she knocks on the door… he comes up behind her in the hall.  He opens his door and invites her in, extending his hand and introducing himself; Anna tells him they have met before.  He insists they haven’t; she doesn’t push the issue.  She simply asks him what he is doing there in Port Charles.  He asks her to tell him why she thinks he is there; after all, he says, he is an innocent man.  She says not necessarily; he was only found ‘not guilty.’  She tells him that she is thinking he is not even who he says he is, adding that up until five years ago, there was no record that a Valentin Cassadine even existed.  He says he is willing to take a DNA test; he admits that no records exist because no one wanted to admit that he did.  Anna asks him how he is connected; she says she will find out.  She then suggests that he just leave town before she uncovers his secret; she tells him he is an insignificant, little man, who is lashing out at the world because his daddy didn’t love him.  Valentin loses his temper and tells her to shut up; Anna laughs at him.  He asks her to leave; she does, after telling him that if any one gets hurt because of him, she will lock him up faster than he can say the word ‘extradition.’  She suggests he get out of town.  Anna goes to tell Griffin that she talked with Valentin; she says he never once mentioned Claudette or Charlotte… Griffin says maybe he doesn’t know his daughter is still in town.  Anna says, still, she got the distinct feeling that he was hiding something dangerous.

11-11-2016 (Friday) FINAL GOODBYES

Elizabeth stresses over her attacker being released on parole; Franco vows that he will stop the man before he can hurt her.  She says she doesn’t want him going after the guy.  Griffin, Anna, Dante and Lulu gather before the service; Griffin shares the news that Valentin Cassadine is Charlotte’s father, not him.  They are all stunned.  They understand why Claudette when to such great lengths to protect that little girl from him.

Hayden stops breathing…Laura calls the hospital for a helicopter; they bring Hayden in to the hospital.  They hook her up to an I.V. and the machines start beeping; she is in sepsis.  She goes into convulsions, they roll her on her side, Finn injects something that calms her; she stabilizes.  Tracy comes in to check when she hears about Hayden; Finn comes out and tells Tracy and Laura that she’s okay for now.  Tracy informs him that Monica has quarantined his lab, but she has an idea.  She is going to transfer Hayden to her home and have Finn treat her there as a private patient… they ask Elizabeth to help get Hayden ready, with a week’s supply of the medication they just gave her.  Laura smiles as they make it into the elevator, and commends Tracy on really sticking her neck out for the people she cares about, meaning Finn and Hayden.

Andre and Jordan have lunch and discuss the fact that they both feel the need to be at Morgan’s memorial service; Julian comes by and gloats, egging Jordan to arrest Sonny.  Curtis comes in to meet with Julian; he has ‘intel’ into the attempt on his life.  He says someone called Pete, causing him to walk away from it, long enough for someone to slip the bomb into the car… no more than three minutes.  He got a name of the man making that call – Oscar Jessup?  Either way, Julian claims it doesn’t ring a bell.

At the church, Sonny tells Jax the gun is just for protection, because “you never know” you know?  Jax asks Sonny to give him the gun, saying he needs to think of his children; Sonny says he is thinking of his kids and, after today, he won’t be a problem for them anymore.  Jason gets a call from Max; the ‘broker’ is at Sonny’s house – Jason asks him how the bomb ended up in Julian Jerome’s car.  He asks why the message, calling it off, didn’t get delivered.  The guy says he doesn’t know; he says he called the deal off as soon as she got off the phone with Sonny.  He swears his guy was not responsible for the bomb in Julian’s car.  Jason tells him that he wants a call from his guy, verifying that he did not follow through.  He leaves to go to the service.  Molly prays by the candles (she got a haircut; cute).  Joslyn comes in and kneels beside her and lights another candle.  They put their arms around each other.

Kristina is a little upset with her mother for the way she is treating her dad; Carly apologizes.  Michael takes Kristina away; Bobbi comforts Carly as Nelle enters the chapel.  Alexis shows up and hugs Sonny; says hi to Jax and tells him to leave Sonny alone today of all days.  Kiki shows up, but hesitates to go in; Dillon arrives and talks her into it, saying Morgan would want her here.  The service begins; Kristina speaks…then Dante, next Joslyn sings Amazing Grace, Michael speaks after about Morgan’s capacity to forgive (Kiki gets up and walks out at this point), Michael then looks at his mother and father, Carly gets up next (and speaks about the empty coffin, filled with pictures and all of Morgan’s favorite things – symbols of her son’s life and potential), Jason comforts her when he comes in, people then start clearing out; Sonny gets up and says there’s something he has to say…he says there’s only one way he knows to make things right so his son can be at peace.  He pulls the gun out of his pants; everyone gasps.

11-10-2016 (Thursday)

Carly wakes up on the couch, ready to face the day that she has been dreading; she sends Nelle to pick out a dress from the clothing she left at Sonny’s.  Nelle asks Sonny if he would like to talk about anything; he snaps at her, thank you, but no.  He asks how Carly is doing; Nelle says she’s there, but so down… she tells him she slept on the couch last night and was sleeping when she left, but wasn’t alone.  Sonny gets a little disturbed when she tells him Jax showed up and stayed with her overnight.  Nelle tries to stress how important it is for him to be there and says she hopes he reconsiders his decision; she goes upstairs to get Carly’s dress.  On her way out, Sonny hands her the envelope he had addressed to her, and asks her to give it to Carly, but not until after the memorial service.

Sam comes to pick up Danny from Alexis’ and notices the smell; Alexis tells her she burned the cookies, but doesn’t explain why – Sam questions the smoke detector and how she couldn’t have heard it…she brushes her off.  Sam asks to use her computer for a second; Alexis hesitates, realizing she still has the tab open from googling “do I have a drinking problem?”  Luckily, for her, Kristina shows up and distracts Sam long enough for her to sneak over and delete her browsing history and close the tab.  After talking to Danny, Sam asks her mom if she was drinking while she watched her son; Alexis does not admit it, in fact, denies it outright, saying Laura drank all of the wine that is missing from the bottle.  Sam apologizes and pretends not to see that Alexis is noticeably feeling guilty about lying to her.

Franco brings Liz a cup of coffee and asks if she got any sleep at all; she says no… the pain of her past trauma was just too much last night after preparing her statement.  She apologizes for the night not turning out the way he had hoped; for not wanting him to stay.  He says he totally understands… no rush.  One day at a time, he says.  As he ponders to himself, Olbrecht overhears and inquires; he briefly tells her the story (she asks if he told Elizabeth how he really felt and he responds, “God, no”).  He confesses that what Elizabeth went through reminds him of what he made Sam think he had done to her all those years ago.  He’s afraid it will come between them.  Elizabeth gets a call from the parole board; although they considered her victim impact statement, they decided to release him anyway.

Finn shows up to check on Hayden; Laura says she hasn’t spoken to her yet this morning, but mentions that she saw her last night.  She tells him she was a little bit flushed, but says she wasn’t in her room this morning… Hayden wakes up on the floor, seemingly feeling much better.  She hears Finn and tells him she is just fine.  But she collapses in front of him; he checks her and finds her pulse is low and she has a fever of 102 degrees.

When Nelle gets to Carly’s, and Carly goes to change, Jax asks Nelle if she remembers the circumstances about when her kidney was taken.  Nell manages to smile and be friendly, even though she is obviously disturbed by Jax’s presence… she tells him what she remembers, but it’s not much.  He and Carly head to the service; Nelle changes her clothes and says she’ll be right there.  When Sonny arrives for the service, Jax tells him how sorry he is about Morgan and puts his arm around Sonny in sort of a half-hug; he then asks Sonny why he brought a gun to his son’s funeral.

11-09-2016 (Wednesday)

Carly prays, and apologizes for not ever having made a habit of going to church… Sonny is religious, she notes, hoping (I suppose) that makes up for her lack of spiritual attention.  They are preparing for Morgan’s memorial service tomorrow.  Sonny shows up at the church.  They attempt to talk; Sonny is making obvious references to the fact that he is considering suicide.  Carly asks what he means when he says, “they’ll understand.”  He just rambles on about how he tried to make things right; Griffin comes in and tells Carly that he overheard Sonny canceling whatever he had set in motion – Carly says she knows that, but it was too late because Morgan’s dead.  Griffin and Sonny have a good conversation in the chapel; Sonny invites Griffin to come to Morgan’s service tomorrow and Griffin accepts the invitation.  As Sonny gets up and leaves, he asks Griffin to look after his family for him afterwards; Griffin looks a little concerned.

Michael reads an old letter from Morgan to Nelle; he was in the academy, writing to Michael because he missed him.  He tells Nelle it was his fault Morgan was in the military academy; he says it was there he picked up his attitude.  He mentions how he hated being called Mikey, but now would love to hear it.  They talk about whether he will ever be able to forgive his dad again or not; he seems to make Nelle slightly uncomfortable.  Carly talks to Nelle, feeling somewhat badly about leaving Sonny to grieve alone; Nelle tries to comfort her.  Jax shows up; Nelle definitely looks nervous when she looks at Jax, especially when Carly tells him she lives there now.

Alexis gets Danny out of the kitchen, thankfully unharmed, and they run outside to escape the smoke.  She tells him to count to 20 and if she isn’t back out, to run to the neighbor’s house; she goes in and sprays the extinguisher in the oven to put the cookies that are on fire (although it doesn’t show us this).  She comes back out as Danny counts number 18… he hugs her.  They are safe; she puts Danny to bed and Laura shows up.  Alexis tells Laura that although the document Valentin forced Nikolas to sign was not valid because it was not notarized, the second document he brought, claiming the change in Mikos’ Will, was valid.  Laura is upset, saying Nikolas died for nothing; she asks if she can have a glass of wine from the bottle she sees sitting on Alexis’ counter; Alexis declines joining her, saying one glass is her limit.

Nathan prepares another dinner for Maxie to make up for the Claudette/Charlotte fiasco; no more interruptions, he says.  Someone knocks on the door.  It’s a certified letter from Claudette’s mom.  In French, which Nathan translates for Maxie, the mother writes that she hasn’t heard from Claudette in three days – she explains that Claudette calls her every day, always telling her if she ever doesn’t hear from her, she should contact Nathan.  Nathan says something must have happened to Claudette then.  Valentine happens to meet Nina at the bar…he is glad to see her, she, not so much, him.  She sees the picture of Charlotte (as a baby) on his phone; he tells her she is his daughter.  She doesn’t understand, until he explains the whole story; she tells him she thought for a while that Charlotte was her niece.  By the end of the conversation, he convinces her to sit back down for another drink; she is smiling with intrigue.

Finn frantically tries to wash the bacteria off of Hayden’s hands, but becomes increasingly worried when he notices the paper cut on her fingertip.  He scrubs her hands and uses every disinfectant he can find, then gives her pills to fight the bacteria; Hayden tells him to quit fussing over her and clean up the mess.  While he is focused on the mess, Hayden slips out; at home, she gets very weak, starts stumbling and collapses to the floor.

11-08-2016 (Tuesday) DANGER!

Finn talks to his recorder; another experiment failed… one step forward, two steps back – much like his relationship with Hayden, he says.  Brad comes in and bitches about his lab being in such disarray – he picks up a beaker and Finn almost flips out; he tells him that it is highly volatile and he needs to put it down very carefully.  Brad asks what, exactly, he is holding – Finn tells him it is a pathogen.  Finn demands that he give him the beaker, but Brad notices how much he is shaking, he sits it down and inquires about why Finn is shaking so bad.  Finn gets mad and tells him just to leave.  He does; he is going to complain.

Alexis meets with Diane for dinner and drinks; she asks Diane to look over the document Valentine gave her – she verifies, it is official… before Alexis’ dad died, he changed everything.  All that was going to Spencer, is now going to Valentin.  Hayden and Tracy (along with another man) leave the board room; Tracy says she didn’t make any friends in there.  She says she wasn’t hired to make friends; it wouldn’t do any good to pretend things are okay when they are in the red, she had to be honest.  The man scoffs at that, saying something cutting about Hayden’s father being the biggest con artist ever.  Tracy tells him the board voted for Ms. Barns as Financial Administrators and she trusts her expertise; the man says he will be watching.  Hayden welcomes his scrutiny, saying she will be completely open about the finances of the hospital.  Brad comes out to complain to Tracy about Finn being in his lab; he tells her that Dr. Finn’s hands are shaking so hard, he doesn’t know how he is doing any research.  He says if he isn’t careful, his next stop will be the morgue.

Finn drops one of his beakers…he goes to get a mop to clean it up – Hayden comes by to see him (to tell him what Brad is saying).  She steps into the liquid before noticing; a piece of glass sticks in her shoe.  She reaches down to pull it out; Finn comes in and sees her, and asks what she is doing; Finn tells her to put the piece of glass down, and then frantically looks at her hands.  Franco asks Elizabeth if she would like to continue kissing, or get back to her sketching; she plays hard to get.  He persuades her into giving something new a try; he likens making love to art, and asks if she would like to make some art with him.  Lol.  He calls it a collaboration; they sweetly start kissing and she asks if he would like to go upstairs.  Just as they start, the phone rings.  She answers professionally… the man who raped her is up for parole, supposedly rehabilitated and no longer a threat to society (but she says he will always be a threat to her).  She was only fifteen; Tom Baker is his name.  It took a year to put him in jail; he got twenty years.  When he came up for parole five years ago, she had to make a victim impact statement; his next hearing is tomorrow.  Franco says they better get started on her next victim impact statement.  As she types, she becomes emotional and Franco comforts her.

Jason comes home and tells Sam that the man was shot dead before he got any information out of him; Pete is dead, he says.  Sam wonders what he knew that someone would kill to keep him quiet.  He shows her the phone, and then tells her that Curtis Ashford show up and saw him taking it.  They review the numbers Pete called that day; one is blocked – Sam gets on her computer to see if she can find the information anyway.  She finds something, a name, Oscar Jessup?  They discuss the possibility that one of Julian’s other enemies put that bomb in his car; Julian did have a lot of enemies.  Curtis meets with Julian and tells him that Jason was there questioning Pete when he arrived; and then mentions that Pete was shot.  They each order a drink; the bartender tells Julian that he cannot serve him.  Carly has forbid it; Curtis buys Julian’s drink and tells the bartender he will talk to Carly about it.

At home, Alexis is now watching Danny; she hands him his juice, then says she is going to have some of her favorite juice, and pours some wine into her glass.  She gets up to put a sheet of cookies in the oven, and trips; Danny says she is funny.  The timer goes off; Danny can’t wake Alexis up, so he runs into the kitchen.  The smoke alarm begins beep; Alexis wakes up, smelling something burning.  Where is Danny??  Diane congratulates Tracy on getting the hospital re-opened; Tracy says she isn’t going to celebrate yet, until she knows for sure GH can recover from the financial devastation of the shut down.  The man (from the board of directors meeting) sits down at the bar next to Julian and tells him it looks like he is going to get his wish; GH won’t be able to climb out of their financial hole.  Tracy sees this man talking to Julian.

11-07-2016 (Monday)

Jason is talking to Julian’s driver in the parking garage; he wants to know why he left the car unattended, but before the man can answer him, someone shoots him dead.  Sonny calls for an ambulance, but it’s already too late – he takes the man’s cell phone; Curtis walks up and lets him know he saw him take the phone.  They both talk to the police when they arrive; Curtis agrees not to tell them about the phone, as long as Jason lets him look at the information on it along with him.

Elizabeth and Franco walk into her house; she says with the boys staying at their grandma’s, they have the house all to themselves.  She asks Franco to let her draw him; he starts to remove his clothes.  She stops him, saying she just wants to draw his portrait; he can keep his clothes on.  He has a hard time sitting still and not talking; she gets up to reposition his head and they end up kissing.  Carly brings Morgan’s journal to Sonny, and reads the pages to him; she tells him she can’t understand what could have happened, when he was marking that he was taking his meds everyday.  Sonny says he could have just been marking that; they don’t know for sure that he was taking them – but, Carly points out, he talks about his frustration with the medication not working – he was taking his meds.  Sonny checks Morgan’s room and comes back down to tell Carly that there is only one pill bottle in his drawer; the Lithium bottle is missing.  Carly wonders why he would have taken the entire bottle with him.  She sees the note Sonny had written when he was considering killing himself and asks if she should open the envelope; he grabs it and blows it off, saying they have other things to worry about.

Anna and Griffin get the results of his DNA test; Griffin is NOT Charlotte’s father either – that means Valentin very well might be.  When Charlotte sees Valentin, she runs to him, saying she is so happy to see him (so she obviously knows him); he picks her up and hugs her, and assures her he is happy to see her as well.  He then cuts his finger and wipes the blood on a napkin; he hands it to Anna and tells her to run a DNA test on him.  He says he will let Charlotte stay in their capable hands in the mean time.

Ava is confronted by someone in the alley; a black gloved hand touches her shoulder.  It’s Lucy; she saw Ava disposing of the bottle of pills in the garbage can on the docks.  She says that she has figured it all out – Ava had gotten back together with Morgan again (these must have been pills he had left at her place)– she asks what Carly and Sonny will think when she tells them that she was messing around with Morgan again; Ava begs her not to say anything, adding it would really hurt Kiki to find that out.  Lucy eventually agrees not to say anything to Morgan’s parents, but tells Ava she should consider coming clean, because if she saw her putting the pill bottle in the trash, someone else could have seen her too.

11-04-2016 (Friday) WHO'S CHILD IS THIS?

Sam and Jason sit in the car, watching… They are on a stakeout, looking for the guy that actually was paid to plant the bomb; some guy named Pete.  Sam jumps out of the car, calling out to Pete, reminding him that she is Julian Jerome’s daughter.  She tells him they could help each other out – offers him money for his version of what happened the night Julian’s car blew up.  She says no one has to ever know that they talked; he refuses.  She says fine, then, he can talk to her husband, Jason Morgan – Jason shows up and the guy is willing to talk, immediately.  He begins to tell Jason his side of the story; then the man is shot, and falls to the floor; Jason ducks for cover.

Nelle brings Carly the requested item from Morgan’s room; she also brings what looks like a journal.  Carly reads it aloud; it talks about Morgan accepting his disorder and deciding to live with it.  He says he has vowed to take his medicine, especially for his mother, so she’d be proud of him.  He has checkmarks next to the letter ‘M’ on every day – he was taking his meds.  He was encouraged and normal and happy; showing restraint.  He was in control of his illness, until he wasn’t Carly says.  The last pages show his decline; she begins to cry.

Curtis is called to come into the police station; Jordan says she has been informed about his taking a picture of a police file, and he is going to have to pay the consequences.  He tries to explain, how it happened by accident, and by instinct he took a picture… Jordan tells Curtis he has put Valerie’s career in jeopardy.  She said she isn’t pursuing action against Valerie, but this could be a mark on her record.  They begin re-hashing old shit; and Jordan gets sarcastic about what integrity looks like.  She tells him she is going to make sure that he is never, ever a police officer again.  She says he is not worthy of a badge because he lacks the necessary ethics; she tells him he may want to move away.  He calls her a hypocritical bitch.

Alexis accepts Valentin’s job offer; she has a smug look on her face as he tells her it will be great to work with his sister.  She tells him this is not a bastards-unite reunion; this will be a professional relationship… and once she finds the answers he needs, he will leave Port Charles, permanently.  Right, he says.  She asks why Nikolas would sign over the estate with no quid pro quo; he offered nothing in return.  Valentin says Prince Nikolas was on the run, and wanted to unload his property; she tells him that doesn’t make any sense.  He says that’s his version of events and he’s sticking to it; she asks him if he has forgotten that there was another witness to these events – Ava Jerome.  She says Ava’s story is vastly different from his, including the fact that he held Nikolas at gunpoint while he signed over the estate; Valentin says that Ava is a dubious witness and her testimony won’t stand.  Alexis realizes that the document he is displaying is not notarized, and therefore, in the United States, it is not legal.  She tells him to leave.  He says it is unfortunate that they couldn’t form a family connection; he gives her another document, from Greece (in Greek) noting that it is notarized.  He tells her to have it translated and then get back to him.

Griffin tells Anna he has decided to leave the priesthood; he says he will be happy to have just this little girl call him father from now on.  He feels like Charlotte is a sign from God; says his path is clearer now than it’s ever been.  They decide to go out to dinner.  Anna receives a message that the DNA results are in and goes to meet the messenger; Valentin walks in and sits down.  He stares at Griiffin and Charlotte.  Anna comes back and sits down, as Griffin approaches Valentin and tells him to leave his daughter alone.  Valentin says there is a misunderstanding; he claims Charlotte is HIS daughter.  Ava talks to Kiki and tries to talk her into leaving town, just getting away from everything, she suggests.  Kiki is offended that she would be trying to get rid of her; she says she is just worried about her… worried about Carly’s need for revenge.  Kiki tells her mom she and Carly are fine; they just avert their eyes when they see each other.

Kiki starts blaming herself again for Morgan being in that state of mind; Ava tells her she couldn’t have done anything and she isn’t responsible for what happened to Morgan.  Kiki asks then who is – Ava flashes back to her switching out Morgan’s meds in his room.  But then she insists that the only person to blame is Sonny; Kiki asks if she is trying to convince her, or herself.  They stop fighting, hug, and Kiki says she has to get back to work; Ava gets a text message:  “I saw you.  I know what you did to Morgan.”  Ava gasps.

11-02-2016 (Wednesday)

Anna agrees to let Charlotte stay with her, Robin and Emma today, while Griffin goes to work.  Griffin thanks her for protecting his daughter; she wishes him a good day.  Dante comes to see Anna; he regrets not nailing Julian for what he did to Duke.  She tells him not have any regrets and assures him everything will be okay.  She asks what he knows about Valentin Cassadine.  Alexis tells Dante that she is now the WBA point person in the investigation against Valentin; she says if he has any information at all, she would be grateful.  Dante said all he remembers about Valentin is a story about his bringing fish to the Villa as a kid and meeting Nikolas in the kitchen; then he adds one thing… he tells her about this girl Daphne.  She assumes they, together, took on new identities; she says it takes a lot of influence to do that.  Charges never seem to stick, which means he has enough money to bribe his way out of shit, or he has “ear of enough powerful people to make things happen.”  She says it is worth asking questions.

Elizabeth and Franco arrive for the re-opening of GH; Monica gives a special thanks to one person who’s determination brought about the salvation of the hospital – Franco and Liz assume she is talking about him.  She calls Tracy up for acknowledgement.  Franco is not even given thanks; he is truly hurt.  Elizabeth tells him she knows that he is the one who is truly responsible for the hospital being opened.  Hayden approaches them, mouthing off about Franco being a killer.  Hayden announces that she is General Hospital’s new financial manager, showing Liz her badge.  Franco sits down to munch on a bag of potato chips; Olbrecht asks him what is wrong – she says every thing she has been through this past year has given her a sense of [she hesitates]; empathy is the word Franco throws in.  She says she hopes not, but sits down next to him and talks with him about the issues; he tells her he was just hoping for a thank you from Monica.  He is tired of being the town pariah and wants a chance to change that impression; please, Olbrecht tells him, his biggest threat to his relationship with Elizabeth is him, and how he screws things up like he always does.  Olbrecht tells him he needs to be himself, regardless because you can’t “become a better person” – she says the person who really loves you will accept you for all of your flaws.  Trying to change will only cause pain for both of you, she adds, as she points out that Elizabeth is talking to Griffin right now.  Griffin asks Liz if it bothers her that Franco has such a territorial streak; she hesitates to answer.  Franco comes up behind her and throws his arms around her, asking what they are talking about.

Monica, in light of  “a new era,” offers Olbrecht the opportunity to work on the floor again, telling her as long as she keeps her nose clean and follows the rules, she can stay there.  Hayden apologizes to Finn for being so short with him the other day; she says she didn’t have a right to put a time limit on his grieving.  He thanks her and offers to have lunch sometime; she tells him he misunderstood.  She says she doesn’t want to be his buddy.  She tells him she has real feelings for him, so if all he wants is a lunch buddy, she declines – she extends her hand and says they will keep things professional; he accepts.  Tracy walks up and teases him, saying it’s obvious that he has feelings for her.

Alexis wakes up and sees the mess in the living room; talking to herself, she tries to clean up.  Valentin comes to see her; he says he wants to offer her a job.  He says he wants her to be a consultant; he tells her they are both Nikos’ bastards and therefore have a lot in common.  He reminds her how Helena killed her mother, saying “they” deserve to inherit everything.  Alexis says she is not interested in joining his club; she adds that she has no claim on the inheritance.  He tells her, if she can prove he has a claim, he would be more than willing to share.  She momentarily considers the offer; Jason and Sam walk in.  Sam tells her there’s no way she can take the job, but Alexis says she is considering it anyway.

Curtis comes to see Valerie; she questions what he is looking at on his phone.  He covers his phone, acting guilty as hell and tells her it’s just a cheating spouse case; she says she is glad he isn’t working for Julian anymore, acknowledging that there are secrets about each of their jobs that the other can’t know.  He excuses himself for a minute; Valerie decides to look at the pictures on his phone… she deletes on of herself because she doesn’t like it, then sees the pictures Curtis took of Morgan’s case file when it fell on the floor.  When Curtis comes back to the bar, Valerie confronts him with the picture, angry that he has never actually stopped working for Julian.  He swears he didn’t mean to deceive her; yet he did, she adds.  He tries to explain that he just couldn’t resist when the file fell on the floor; she tells him it was a rookie mistake leaving the file out, and now worries it may cost her job.  She tells him they are through, and says she will have to decide whether or not to turn him in.  Curtis calls to talk to Julian; Jason overhears him leaving a message and asks what he has to tell.

11-01-2016 (Tuesday)

Nelle sits a the computer in Carly’s office, sneaks into a purse and reads a note; Michael comes in the door and asks if she’s okay.  She says she was just distracted; she tells him his mom left a little while ago.  He says he wasn’t looking for his mom; he wanted to thank her, both for being there for his dad and for what she said to him on the footbridge – he says it helped him reframe in his mind what was going on.  Nelle asks if that means he is going to be able to forgive his father.  He tells Nelle he is afraid it would hurt his mother if he went to spend time with Sonny, and he still has a hard time, knowing that Morgan would be alive if his dad had done things differently.  He tells her he would appreciate it if she would keep finding reasons to stop by, to check on Avery, and check on his dad and let him know how he is doing.  She says it would be her pleasure; no need for thanks.  He asks if there is anything he can do for her, and she tells him thank you, but no; she says she still has a lot of work to do.  He leaves and she immediately gets back into the purse; she reads the note… all it shows us is “you owe me.”  It is signed, “Your Father.”

Robin shows up to visit her mother; she tells her that as much as they like Portland, it still feels like Port Charles is home.  Maybe she is considering moving back.  The doorbell rings; it’s Griffin.  He says they need Anna’s help.  Robin is surprised to learn that Griffin has a daughter; Griffin tells her he was surprised too.  Griffin tells Anna that Dante just called him to tell him that Valentin is there; he is concerned because Claudette told him that Valentin was dangerous.  He fills Robin in on what Claudette had told him; Anna and Griffin agree that there is a connection between this sudden appearance in town and Claudette leaving Charlotte with Griffin.  He explains to Robin that he used to think Claudette was lying, but he and Anna agree now that she really thought she was doing the best thing by leaving her daughter there with Griffin.  They wonder if she got off of her plane before it’s scheduled landing to fool Valentin; Griffin asks what if Valentin already has Claudette.  Anna assures Griffin that she will do everything she can to find out what has happened to Claudette; Charlotte falls asleep.  Griffin lays her on the couch and tells her, even though he didn’t even know her until a few weeks ago, he wants nothing more now than to protect her; he prays for wisdom and the ability to be a good father.  Ana fills Robin in on what she knows about Valentin; she says she knows what she has to do; she makes a call to Robert, telling him this is the case she wants to work on.

Valentin shows up at Nina’s office; she looks surprised to see him.  He reminds her that he told her she would see him again.  He promises that he is there legitimately; she says she doesn’t understand… she turned him in for kidnapping Nikolas.  He says he forgives her; she is too beautiful to stay mad at.  Nina is appalled that he would say he forgives HER.  She says he is the one who needs forgiveness; she accuses him of being crazy, says she isn’t buying his lies anymore.  He tells her he only came back because he wanted to see her; she actually looks a little frightened.  She tells him she is not into this, and not into him anymore and doesn’t want to see him there again; he tells her she’s a terrible liar.  She tells him that she is disgusted by him, she doesn’t want to be with him, that their night together with just a hook up and meant nothing to her; she tells him no one in this town wants him there and he should just go back where he came from.  She tells him to leave, saying he bores her.  He leaves, telling her to look at a specific page in a baby book he saw on her desk; she looks, it is the description of his name, associating Valentine’s Day with love.  Despite her denial of interest in him, she looks somewhat enchanted.

Ava is worried for her safety because she was a witness to Valentin shoving Nikolas out the window; at the bar, she tells Julian that she is the next logical person on his list.  Julian tells her he will do his best to protect her; she says thanks, but still looks concerned.  He asks what she’s thinking… she says, just about something in the past.  She talks about what she did, what he has done, about Sonny’s need for vengeance and her concern that he will still get it; Julian assures Ava that Sonny won’t be a problem any more.  He swears to her that Sonny is not going to make a move on him; she says alright.  Ava then talks about Valentin and happens to mention that Alexis was at the mansion when he showed up; Julian is concerned.

Alexis and Sam go home; Jason shows up and they tell him that Valentin Cassidine is in town.  Sam tells Jason that Valentin checked into a hotel to give them a ‘grace period’ to adjust to his presence; Alexis says her long-lost half-brother is very confident that Port Charles will be his next permanent address.  Jason talks about taking care of Valentin himself, since the law can’t touch him; Sam buckles over in pain, grabbing her stomach.  They take her to the hospital.  The doctor tells Jason and Alexis that Sam and the baby are fine; it was just a little scare but there is no indication of miscarriage.  Jason goes in to see Sam and tells her he’s sorry; she asks why.  He says he is the cause of her stress; she tells him he isn’t, Valentin is.  The doctor steps back into the room; Alexis goes back home, and keeps looking at her box of wine… she tries to keep busy, reading, but finally gives him and takes out a bottle.  She pours herself a glass and savors it.  Before long, she has finished the bottle; she goes back to the box for a second one.  The doctor tells Sam that she wants to monitor her for the night, just as a precaution; Jason says he will stay.  He tells Sam to just shut her beautiful eyes and go to sleep.  Jason tries to call Alexis to let her know that Sam is and the baby are okay; Alexis is passed out cold on the couch, empty bottles and glass strewn about.

10-31-2016 (Monday)

Franco is dressed like a mime and attending a party at the Metro Court; Elizabeth comes in with Jake and Jason.  He gets upset with Elizabeth for appearing happy with Jason; she reminds him that they are Jake’s parents and do have to associate for that reason.

Nina sees Charlotte appear just outside of her door; she asks where her mommy is and offers to take her to look for her; she talks to her and comforts her, until Griffin shows up and tells Nina that Charlotte is his daughter.  Charlotte tells Griffin that she would be willing to help him take care of Charlotte if he ever needed help.  He thanks her.  She offers to find her a Halloween costume and tells them about the Halloween party upstairs; Griffin takes Charlotte to the party, where she gets upset and starts screaming for her mother.  Elizabeth sees her and goes over to her; she calms her down, talking to her about her nurse costume, tells her she’s a nurse and her daddy is a doctor.  Charlotte is impressed and agrees to go sit down with them  Liz congratulates him on his beautiful daughter, and assures him that Charlotte didn’t mean what she said when she said she hated him.  Griffin thanks her for her help; Franco comes over and insinuates that something is going on between them.  Liz gets kind of upset with him, telling him he is acting like a jealous tool; Franco tells her that he feels jealous because he doesn’t know if they are ‘real’ because they haven’t had sex yet.  He asks if they are ever going to; Liz looks shocked.  She tells him she does want to get to know him, really, really know him… and when the time is right, they will most likely end up in bed.  She kisses him passionately, tells him Happy Halloween and walks away.

Valentin stands at gun point while Dante calls Jordan to find out that he was released on a technicality.  He tells Laura that he is the new owner of the mansion and shows everyone a paper transferring rights and title to Cassadine Island to Valentin Cassidine.  It is signed by Nikolas (forced by gun point, before Valentin shoved Nikolas out of the window).  Laura is angered and says this is insane; she vents to Kevin, and he comforts herr.  Alexis tells Sam that they need to go home.

Sonny is happy to see Morgan; he grabs him by the shoulders and asks him to forgive him for what he did.  Sonny hugs Morgan, and is pushed away by some kid that is not Morgan, dressed as a zombie for Halloween, obviously.  Sonny gets angry, accuses the boy of pretending to be his son, and asks the kid what he is doing there; the kid tells him it was a dare, to go to “the godfather’s house.”  As he has the kid in his grip, Jason walks in the door and pulls him off.  Jason tells the kid to leave and he does.  Sonny starts to explain to Jason what he thought he saw; Morgan appears on the couch and agrees when Sonny says it was his fault that Morgan is dead.  Sonny continues to talk to Jason about his failings; he says he has to live with what he did for the rest of his life, maybe not sober… but he swears he will be sane.  Jason offers to stay the night; Morgan tells Sonny to send him away.  He tells his dad that he knows what he needs to do to get peace for the both of them; he figured it out on the bridge last night.  Sonny tells Jason he’ll be alright; they hug and Jason leaves.  Morgan gives his father the ‘thumbs up.’  Sonny calls Diane and tells her he needs to get his affairs in order, as soon as possible.  Morgan says goodbye and disappears.
