10-13-2017 (Friday) The New Media Moguls

Nina is frustrated answering phones and wonders where her assistant is; Nelle and Michael go into Kelly’s and she is complaining that it doesn’t matter what she does, no one will believe her.  Michael says he has taken steps to make sure they do; he tells her that he hired Curtis to find evidence of her innocence.  She gets upset, saying there’s no guarantee he will find anything to clear her; the police couldn’t.Anna talks to Finn about gaining Cassandra’s trust, in hopes that she will open up to him.  Anna says she wouldn’t be coming to Port Charles if she didn’t trust him; Finn asks Anna what she will be doing in the meantime.  She says she’s coming at it from another angle.  Cassandra overhears them talking; she assumes they are lovers – Anna says she prefers the term ‘partners.’  Cassandra tells her it was a pleasure to meet her and tells Finn she will talk to him tomorrow; she sits down at a table.

The current Jason surprises Sam by buying Derik Wells Media; he says this is the way he is planning to make a break from his old life and finding a new way to get by.  He tells her he wants her to be his partner; Diane has the papers in hand for them to sign, and tells Jason that another interested party put in a very lucrative bid.  Jason makes sure Sam is willing to do this with him; she says of course; they are partners in everything.  They kiss.  Meanwhile, Valentin tells Nina that he is trying to buy the media company, and asks her to be his CEO.  She gets all excited and starts thinking of names for the domain; Diane calls to tell Valentin that he was outbid, he tells Nina the bad news and of course she is disappointed.  Sam and Jason revel in their new purchase, toasting with a glass of champagne, laughing that they should have just gotten beer.

Our old Jason sits in a “fireman’s bar” where he is watched by two supposed cops; the lady bartender notices that he is troubled and asks if he is on the run.  She points out the two men, and he asks where the restrooms are.  He hides while she speaks to the men and sends them away.  They slip her some money to persuade her, and she gives it to ‘Jason’ – he gives her the watch that was given to him, telling her it’s supposed to be lucky.  She lets him exit through the kitchen; he tells her he is headed “home.”

Griffin and Ava smile at each other after their love-making- he tells her he isn’t sure what he is going to tell his superior tomorrow.  Ava is pissed; she figures he’s going to tell her this was all a mistake and they shouldn’t speak of it again… so she says it for him.  Griffin doesn’t know what to say; he really is quite like a lost puppy around Ava.Curtis shares the information he found with Michael; Michael does find the parallels a little disturbing.  Curtis advises Michael to take a harder look at this; Valentin tells Nelle he knows an opportunist when he sees one.  He threatens Nelle if she does anything to harm Nina or the company; he tells her he will take her down if she does.  He leaves; he meets with Cassandra, who grabs him and kisses him.  Nina rushes out; she asks Nelle to take Valentin his jacket, which he left behind.  When Nelle finds him in the restaurant, she sees Cassandra kissing him and takes a picture on her phone.

10-12-2017 (Thursday) Impromptu Proposal

Kevin asks Laura to marry him; she thinks he is just being “sweet” at first, but he says there’s nothing he wants more than to spend his life with her.  She is taken back a bit, asking why; he says he has been thinking about it for months; she wonder why he waited until they were back in Port Charles, at Kelly’s, if he was thinking about it while they were in France.  She declines his proposal; then claims she didn’t… she says she just doesn’t want him to propose to her to distract her from all of this crap with Valentin.  She says she wants a fairy tale proposal, more or less… he gets it.  He promises her a surprise proposal when she least expects it.

Sharon, shows her family home to Curtis, and tells him about her brother’s death; she tells him that Janelle used to be her mother’s personal assistant… she believes that she was targeting Zach from the very beginning.  He asks why the police haven’t been able to find any proof if Janelle had something to do with it; he thanks her for sharing with him.  She says she has to go but welcomes him to look around if he so desires.Dr. Bensch finds Kiki sitting at a table outside of Perks; he asks what is so bad… she tells him it’s the one year anniversary of her ex-boyfriend’s death.  She tells him about Morgan’s bipolar disorder and the complications of their relationship.  She says she doesn’t know how to talk to Dillon about the fact that Morgan would still be alive if it wasn’t for her – Bensch tells her she is not responsible for Morgan’s death.  She says she is, because her mother killed him for her.  Nelle finds Dillon sitting on a bench; she asks why he isn’t with Kiki at Morgan’s memorial…he says he just didn’t feel like he belonged   He says he sort of feels like Kiki is shutting him out, since she started the premed program.  He is surprised when he sees Kiki sitting at the table with Dr. Bensch.  She jumps up and kisses him, but he questions why she can talk to a doctor she barely knows, but not to him.  She says Bensch sort of reminds her of her dad; older and wiser, saying it isn’t fair to burden him with her feelings about Morgan.  He says there’s nothing she can say he can’t handle.

Alexis tries to talk to Sonny, to get him to help stop Kristina from moving out of town; Sonny tells her that Kristina is a grown woman, who is in love, and can make her own decisions.  Alexis gets mad and leaves; she goes to sit at Kelly’s, where Dr. Bensch finds her and asks her to talk a walk on the beach.Carly is surprised when the foundation they just set up in Morgan’s name receives an anonymous donation of $50,000.00; she does some digging and finds out that the donation was made by Nelle.  She goes to find Nelle, to “thank her” for the generous donation; Nelle tells Michael she was just about to tell him that she had sold the ring and made the donation.  He seems slightly suspicious.  Curtis calls and tells Michael that they need to talk.Griffin comes to see Ava; he tells her that he is trying to decide whether to leave the church or leave Port Charles for good.  She gets angry with him, saying he is using her as a symbol, a temptress and she refuses to be his project.  He tells her that isn’t what he intended; she says he never intends to do anything.  She says he probably only came to Russia because he needed to feed his savior complex; he swears that wasn’t why.  He grabs her and starts kissing her, very passionately; they begin heading toward the bedroom, turning in circles as they kiss the entire way.  They begin to undress each other and lie down on the bed half-naked.

10-11-2017 (Wednesday) You're Fired

Michael and Joslyn bring Avery to Morgan’s memorial; Molly gets a text from Kristina.  Kristina is not coming; Molly tells her siblings that Kristina dropped out and is probably getting lectured by her mother right now.  Joslyn and Molly introduce the Morganchino, a drink Morgan invented; they say they are giving a portion of the profits to help the needy.  Jos gets the Perks’ hats out of the box they are still in; they all put on the hats and take a picture (group selfie).

Ava is packing her bag and tells Kiki she can’t wait to get out of there and get home; she says she is sick of medical facilities.  Kiki comes in and lets her know she is a little angry about her taking off without telling her; she asks what happened between she and Griffin.  Griffin prays in a chapel; some priest shows up and says he is there to take him back to his parish, where he belongs.  Griffin admits he has been avoiding him; the priest says the Bishop needs Griffin back in his parish, immediately.  He says Griffin has had more than enough time to consider his calling.  Griffin says he needs a little more time and asks for a few more months; the priest says no.  Griffin tells him he can’t go back right now; the elder priest asks him if he wants to continue being a priest or not.  Kiki questions why Griffin would have dropped everything in his life to go after her.  She tells her mom that she is going to see Avery at the memorial; Ava asks if she could bring her to see her.  She says she will see what she can do; she asks Kiki to at least take some pictures and tell her she loves her.  They hug; she says she will.  Laura steps in the doorway; she asks Ava how she thinks Kiki would feel if she knew how she has betrayed her son.  Laura tells Ava she is the one holding up her discharge papers and lectures her about dashing Spencer’s hope of getting his home back.  She Nikolas died for her and says, in the end, his death was in vain because Ava valued her looks more than Nikolas’ memory.  She ends by telling Ava she sold her soul to the devil, and one day she will have to pay up…. She leaves her papers and says she can go.

Kristina walks Parker back to the school and they kiss goodbye; the Dean comes in and tells Parker she is fired.  Someone saw them kissing before Kristina withdrew from school; Alexis walks in and Kristina assumes she is the one who turned Parker in.  Alexis says she’s not, but says whoever did, did her and the University a huge favor.  Ava shows up at the memorial and interrupts the ceremony; she says she wants to see Avery.  Michael tells Ava that she has ruined the service for Avery, reminding Ava that she is the reason they are there in the first place.  The elder priest asks Griffin if there is another woman; the reason he can’t remain faithful to God.  Griffin says, “yes, there is.”  He says this is different than what he had with Claudette; he says there is something about this woman that draws him to her.  He says it’s more than physical; he admits it was only friendship and support at first that he wanted to give her.  He says he isn’t sure of that anymore.  The elder tells him to examine his heart then, and have the courage to listen to it.  He hugs Griffin and leaves.

Laura meets Kevin at Kelly’s; she tells him that she held a gun on Valentin (unloaded, but still)… he says he understands.  She gets a text from Spencer; she says she can’t let him know Ava betrayed him.  Michael and Dante tell Ava that she is not welcome there; Kiki asks her to please, “just go.”  She agrees.  The siblings (and Dante) decide to take Avery to the zoo; Kiki declines the invitation.  She tells Morgan that she isn’t sure she can ever really forgive her mother.Kristina doesn’t believe her mother and continues to yell that she always wanted to break her and Parker up; Parker intervenes and tells Kristina it doesn’t matter who turned her in.  She says she just needs to go; she says her grandmother left her a house in Oregon, in a college town.  Kristina says that she is going to go with her then.  Alexis tries to stop them; Parker says, “I love your daughter” noting she wouldn’t have trashed her career over her otherwise… Kristina says she is done letting her mother control her life.  Kristina tells her mom she will send a postcard with her new address; they leave.

10-10-2017 (Tuesday) A Game of Cards

Lynch asks our old Jason what will happen to him if they get caught stowing away on this ship; Lynch says at least he has a passport.  He asks ‘Jason’ if someone is waiting at home for him; he says, “I don’t know.”  Lynch suggests they play cards; he gets a little upset when our Jason notices that the cards are marked.  Lynch wagers his expensive watch; our Jason wins, but gives the money back.  Lynch tells him he is a true gentleman; he suggests he keep the watch.

Kristina and Parker meet for lunch; Parker admits that she almost cancelled.  She is considering the anniversary of Morgan’s death and thinks it may be a bad time for them to “start something.”  Kristina says she is not ashamed to be with her, and hopes Parker feels the same; Parker says, no ethical issue, no problem.  Molly gives Alexis a hard time about not being ready for her date with Dr. Bencsh; Alexis is upset when she gets a letter from the University saying that Kristina has dropped out.  Dr. Bensch admits that The Metro Court is not really his style anyway; Alexis suggests they go to Kelly’s… this happens to be where Kristina and Parker are just finishing dinner.  They stand up and kiss; Alexis and Bensch almost walk in on them.  Alexis tells her date that she worries about her middle child; he says, “sometimes things aren’t as bad as we think.”

Franco and Liz tell ‘Jason’ he needs to hear what they have to say; but before they can tell him anything, he says he is “working on something” and he’s giving them a head’s up because it will affect Liz and Jake too.  He says he can’t give them any details, but soon, he will.  Sam and Jason wonder if Elizabeth is lying to them about something; Sam is curious about what Jason’s surprise is.  Liz and Franco talk about how they should tell Jason about his twin; Liz says she will have to tell him, if Franco doesn’t tell him first.  Franco asks what purpose it serves at this point in their life.  She admi6s that there isn’t any “urgency” right now, and agrees to wait a few more days.

Maxie is not happy with the attention Nathan is getting now; two ‘groupies’ show up at their door wanting to take a selfie with Man Landers and she sends them on their way.

10-09-2017 (Monday) Jason's Surprise

Jason makes a phone call after Sam leaves to get him lunch; Michael sees her at the counter and asks for some advice.  He is glad to hear that Jason is home, but, he says, he is struggling a little with his relationship to Nelle.  Sam tells him that he just has to find “a new normal” with her, and things will work out.  Curtis comes to visit Jason; he tells him that things are about to change.  Jason says he will do whatever he has to, to protect his family.  Curtis welcomes him home and says he has to get going, just as Jason gets a phone call from Julian; he accepts the charges.  Sam reminds Michael that she was kind of a con artist when she came to town; she says he may not remember because he was pretty young.  He says he’s heard stories.  Sam suggests he investigate himself, to see that there is nothing to worry about; Curtis comes in and Sam introduces him to Michael.  Curtis is surprised when Michael tells him what he wants him to investigate… an accidental death involving his girlfriend.  Curtis says it shouldn’t be too hard to prove that she’s guilty; Michael tells him he wants him to prove that she’s innocent.  Jason hangs up the phone just as Sam comes back in, telling Julian he won’t “regret it.”  He tells Sam he is planning a surprise; then tells her he has to go to New York.  She tells him he is not going anywhere, period.  He tells her he needs to do this; she reminds him he was just released from the hospital.  She says, if he is going to go, he has to take her with him and get permission from the doctor first; he kisses her.

Nelle brings Nina back a coffee from Perks; she tells her she tried to fake it but she doesn’t think she’ll ever make it with Michael’s family.  Nina asks if Michael defended her; she says she didn’t give him the chance.  She tells Nina Michael says all the right things; Nina realizes Nelle isn’t sure she believes him.  Nelle questions why; she says his whole family thinks that all she is after is Michael’s money, enough to kill for it.  Nina tells Nelle that actions are all that matter now.  Carly and Sonny go to the chapel; she says she can’t believe it’s been a year already.  They talk to Morgan in the chapel, telling him what they are doing in his name, and that he is still with them everyday, every where… Avery’s smile, etc.  They light candles for him, together; Griffin comes in.  Sonny says he doesn’t look well and asks if he’s all right.  Griffin mentions Ava and Sonny’s response is negative; Griffin says they will have to agree to disagree about her.  Griffin leaves; Carly and Sonny sit down together.  Nelle makes a phone call and says she needs help from this person, who doesn’t know her.  She tells them she knows she is doing the right thing.  Curtis questions Michael’s request.  Michael insists he believes Nelle is innocent of the murder accusations, but he feels she may be hiding something else.  Curtis says he may not like what he finds; Michael says, as long as it’s the truth he will take it.

Lynch tells our Jason (“Patient 6”) that the date is correct; the year is 2017.  Jason says, “it’s been five years.”  Lynch is confused, asking what he means; Jason offers to untie Lynch, reminding him that if he makes one wrong move, he could kill him without meaning to.   Lynch asks what is so important about the date; “Patient 6” (Jason) says he ran into some trouble and “lost track of time.”  Our old Jason leaves the room he’s been hiding in and goes to investigate the ship he is on.

Franco finally comes clean with Elizabeth about the picture and the twin boys, after she finds his sketchbook and sees that he has been re-sketching the painting.  He tells her the other boy is Jason’s twin brother, raised with him for the first three years of his life and then supposedly dying.  She looks at the photo, stunned.  She finally understands when he tells her the whole story; he apologizes and says he was trying to protect Betsy, as well as himself.  He was afraid it would change things between them; he asks for her forgiveness.  Liz says her heart breaks for him, and this boy, and Jason; Franco asks if she thinks Jason wants his life turned upside down right now with this information.  She says he needs to know; they argue over who she is protecting.  She says if he keeps this secret, I won’t end well for him.  Liz and Franco see Jason and Sam in the hall, they say there is something they have to tell Jason.

10-06-2017 (Friday) Patient 6 Meets Huxley Lynch

Bobbie thanks her family for celebrating her birthday with her; Carly remarks that not everyone is there.  Michael asks Nelle to go with him to his grandmother’s reception after all; she says she doesn’t think so.  She tells him she is still mad for his judgment of her over keeping Zach’s ring; he says he’s sorry and asks if they can just forget about the ring.  She also tells him that she thinks he is beginning to believe Sharon and everybody else; he gets a little angry and said he thought they could get past this, and asks if he was wrong.  He says he would rather just agree to disagree than to argue, even though he likes the “make up process.”  She still turns down his offer to go out, saying she has to work, and going to brunch with Bobbie would be a terrible idea; he says the only way they can change things is to show up.  He says they have to interact with his family so they get used to her; he says he won’t go without her but she ushers him out the door.  Lucas and Brad aren’t there either; Bobbie wonders why.  Valerie seems to know something and mentions that they have been considering adoption… Bobbie says if they will give her a grandchild, she’ll forgive them for missing her brunch.

Valentin, Nina, Dante and Lulu agree to be civil for Charlotte’s sake; they agree to joint custody and talk to Charlotte about it.  She says it’s cool, as long as Santa will be able to find her.  When they talk about where Charlotte will be spending Christmas and Thanksgiving, Lulu doesn’t seem to be willing to give.  Laura laughs; she tells Bobbie that Lulu and Dante are on their way, but they had to pick up Charlotte first.  Bobbie compliments Laura for handling that situation with grace; Valentin tells Lulu that her mother threatened him with a gun earlier.  Charlotte comes down ready to go; Nina asks Valentin when he was going to tell her about Laura attacking him.  She is more than upset.  Nina questions him about Thanksgiving; he says a lot can happen between now and then.  He gets a phone call; she gets up to go to work.  All we hear Valentin say is to keep him updated.  Nina arrives at the office and asks Nelle to go get her a Mocha from the restaurant upstairs… she hesitates.  Nina asks why and she tells her, Bobbie’s brunch is going on upstairs.  Nina gives her the same advice Maxie once gave to Nina; “fake it until you make it.”  She tells her to just act like they don’t bother her and she will soon gain their respect.  Michael shows up at the brunch and is welcomed.  When Michael sees Nelle come in to get coffee, he insists that she come over to greet the family; Bobbie is rude to her as usual and Nelle leaves, telling Michael she knew it was a bad idea.  When Lulu and Dante arrive at dinner, Lulu questions her mother about the gun.  Laura says she just snapped; Lulu tells her they have to play it safe from now on because Valentin holds all the cards.

Griffin takes Ava to the hospital to make sure no damage was done to her face at that clinic; she wonders if she’s done the right thing, helping Patient 6 escape.  She starts to tell him about how she and Nikolas met and why they became friends; she says Nikolas saved her from a man named Huxley Lynch.  She says she promised Nikolas she would try to be a better person in the future; to help others, now she regrets selling him out to fix her face.  She tells Griffin he doesn’t need to worry about her anymore; their business is officially concluded, she says.  She thanks Griffin for helping her to become human again; they talk about the ‘misunderstanding.’  He swears he’s never pitied her and admits that he really cared, but was only focusing on his feelings.  He tells her he doesn’t want to lose her friendship, saying she means too much to him.  The doctor is ready to see her now.

Valentin walks into Ava’s examination room; he asks if she had trouble with her stay at the clinic.  She tells him if she hadn’t had to run for her life, she could have finished the treatment; Valentin says he only made the connection.  It’s her own fault if she couldn’t behave at the clinic.  Ava threatens to take back her retraction, and tell the court that he killed Nikolas; he tells her they made a “vast improvement” in her face and she should show him gratitude.  She goes to punch him; he catches her arm.  Griffin comes in and tells Valentin to get his hands off of her; he says he won’t let him hurt her and tells him to leave the room.  Ava asks Griffin why he keeps wasting his time with her; he says because he has faith in her.

Sam brings Jason home; there’s a sign from the kids welcoming him home even though they are somewhere else.  He says he is glad to be home; she tells him he will always find his way back to his family.  He suggests, since the kids aren’t home, they go to the bedroom; she says the doctors told him to take it easy and he says she’ll just have to be gentle with him then.  In bed, he talks about getting a normal job, but says he has no skill sets; to the rest of the world he is just “a blank slate.”  He says he has been thinking about a new career though; he says he wants to get a few things straightened out and she’ll be the first to know.  They discuss what he should do with his free time in the meantime; they decide to make love again. Our familiar ‘Jason’ (Patient 6) has a man tied to a chair; he swears to the man it was only for self defense.  This man tells Patient 6 that he thought someone had sent him after him; this man introduces himself as Huxley Lynch.  He inquires about Patient 6’s name, but gets no answer.  The man offers him a newspaper to read; the date says October 1, 2017.  Patient 6 asks how the year could be right; Lynch is confused

10-05-2017 (Thursday) The Long Trip Home

Maxie isn’t sure she is happy with all the attention Nathan is receiving from women now; flowers and balloons are arriving it at the police station, and a woman shows up with a plate of cookies she baked for him.  She says he is “god’s gift to women.”  They decide to send all the teddy bears, balloons and flowers, to the hospital pediatric ward.  Jordan comes in and tells Nathan she needs to speak to him, now.  He is relieved to know it isn’t about him being Man Landers; she says she has a “situation” with Curtis’ aunt, which she next help with fixing.  Maxie meets with Amy for lunch; she asks how she is handling Nathan getting all the attention online for the work she is doing.  Amy says that it was never about becoming famous for her; she is happy for what Nathan has done and is doing.  She asks what it’s like being married to someone everyone adores; Maxie replies, “oh it’s a blast.”  Amy says she used to be the one every body looked up to in high school; Maxie says she was an outcast, but Amy points out otherwise.  She says Maxie has always gotten so much attention, it might be difficult for her to stand Nathan being in the spotlight now.

Sonny meets Carly for dinner, with news; he says it could be nothing, or it could be a game changer.  He tells her his guy, Brick, has some news for him about that mysterious call from Russia; Jos and Oscar come in and ask for permission to attend a football game without a body guard.  They refuse her request, but say the guard can keep his distance.  Carly takes a picture of the two of them and smoothly tries to ask if Oscar would like her to send it to his mother; he avoids answering by saying they need to get going.  Oscar admits to Jos that he doesn’t even know his father’s name; they decide not to stay at the game and go out to eat instead, but they don’t ditch the body guard.  Carly tells Brick that she also needs something from him and starts to ask for constant surveillance on Nelle, but Sonny shuts her down, saying they have to let Michael find out on his own if Nelle is not good for him.  Carly reluctantly agrees.

Stella shows up at Curtis’s, where he finds Jordan in his arms; she announces that Port Charles is her new home – she is “giving them some space” but not leaving town.  She got a job at the General Hospital, via a friend who told her a social worker was retiring; she is officially part of the GH team, she says.  Jordan doesn’t look happy, but Curtis congratulates her.  She tells him she will be moving into her own place very shortly; Jordan cordially congratulates her too and leaves.  Curtis talks to his aunt about finding a nice guy; she says that Marcus was the one and only love of her life, and there will never be another one – not for her.  Jordan talks to Nathan about Stella; Nathan says he thinks she may have been so heartbroken once, she’s afraid to try again… he says, he doesn’t even know her, and he feels sorry for her, which seems to make Jordan think

Griffin and Ava are on the plane safely; he answers her question, telling her that he felt so guilty that she ran off to have the surgery because of what happened between them.. he says, however that isn’t the only reason he came to find her.  He says he came because he cares about her; he doesn’t want to lose their friendship… he says it may not be enough for her, but it is all he can honestly say right now.  Ava says it is enough; she smiles.  She says she has realized that healing her face isn’t the same as healing herself; Griffin reminds her that she risked her life to save a stranger.  He says that was truly selfless.  She makes light of it, and he tells her she isn’t only courageous, she is also modest; Griffin says it may have been divine intervention.  She is surprised to hear that Sonny helped him find her; he mentions the mysterious phone call Sonny got – she tells him that Patient 6 asked for a phone to call someone… they wonder what his connection might be to Sonny.  Ava asks Griffin about his own needs; she questions whether he ever thinks of himself as “just a man” and not a priest.  He persuades her to get some rest; as she is sleeping, he sweetly brushes some hair back off of her face with his fingers.  She opens her eyes, and says she was dreaming about her girls; he tells her, her girls will be very proud of the way she helped that patient.  She tells him, it seems that some of his good has rubbed off on her; she lays her head on his shoulder and closes her eyes again.

10-04-2017 (Wednesday) The Cassadine Connection

The Russian priest tells “Patient 6” that he knows of a boat that is going to America; Patient 6 offers to give him the money Griffin gave him… the priest tells him to keep it.  Patient 6 thanks him.  The men that were looking for him before, come back; the demand that the priest open the door.  Jason tells the priest and his assistant that they should get out of here; he’ll fight them off, he says.  The priest says he can’t let him fight in the house of God.  He tells Patient 6 to go and says they will deal with the men; Patient 6 thanks him and leaves.  A man shows him to a engine room and tells him to stay there; he tells him the ship is headed for New York, USA.

Laura goes to Valentin’s, with a gun, she tells him it’s time she got revenge for everything he has done to her family; she points the gun at him.  Valentin swears he did nothing wrong; Laura says he has done plenty… he tells her the custody hearing is a bad idea, and they can work this out.  Laura tells him, she wants him to feel what it felt like to be in her son’s shoes.  She cocks the gun; she pulls the trigger and then laughs.  She says he’s lucky she decided not to put bullets in the gun.  He tells her if she ever pulls a stunt like this again, he “will win” and she and her “bubble-head daughter… will lose.”Cassandra tells her caretaker that she is considering to back to New York with Dr. Finn; he questions the choice.  She calls Valentin and tells him that she is coming to Port Charles.

Finn is angry with Anna for dragging him all the way there, when he feels like it’s for nothing; he tells Anna he misses his bearded dragon.  Anna talks about Robyn, and her grandchildren, especially the newborn boy, who she claims takes after his grandfather.  She talks about giving Robyn to a friend to raise, and not seeing her for six years, because of her job with the WSB.  Anna says she now has a chance to make up for lost time; Finn says you can’t ever make up for abandoning the people you love.  He tells her he will continue to “play nice with Cassandra” because he has nothing better to do.  He says the smart move here is to “double down”; Anna asks him what he has in mind.  Finn convinces Anna to spend a little time enjoying the country, gambling and drinking.  Cassandra calls Valentin to tell him that she is coming to Port Charles.

Ava tells Griffin she believes in miracles now; she can hardly believe that he is there.  She tells him about Patient 6, whom she helped escape; Griffin describes him and tells her he’s the one who told him where to find her.  Griffin gives Ava a key he stole from Dr. Kline; he tells her to go get her paperwork so they can get out of the country.  She comes back excited that she got everything, including her phone; she starts packing her bag.  Griffin asks if she can’t leave it; he says they don’t have time.  They get out of there and make it to a plane; Ava pours herself a drink on the plane.  Griffin asks if she is ready to tell him what happened at that clinic.  She tells him she doesn’t really want to talk about it right now and asks him why he came to find her.

10-02-2017 (Tuesday) The Rescue

Ava is now regretting her decision to go to this clinic; she is wondering what she gotten herself into.  Dr. Kline tells her she is not going anywhere; she asks what is going to happen to her.  The doctor doesn’t answer; she begs him to finish fixing her face and let her go home.  He says he can’t do that; he tells her this is a matter of HIS survival, not hers.Jason answers Sam’s phone when it rings; Patient 6 asks who he is… Jason asks who HE is… Patient 6 hangs up.  Sam came back in and asks who called; Jason says he doesn’t know – it was a local number, but he didn’t recognize it and no one spoke.  Sam looks at the number to see if she knows it; she realizes it was from Griffin.

Patient 6 ends up telling Griffin that he saw Ava at the clinic and tells him how to get there… two men come looking for Patient 6; Griffin sends the men in the opposite direction.  The Russian priest comes back with shoes and a clean set of clothing for Patient 6; Patient 6 thanks him.  He tells this priest that he needs to get back home; he asks if a passport is something he could help him with.  Patient 6 kneels down to pray (it is hard not to call him Jason at this point); he asks God to help him make it home.  The priest comes back and tells him that he may have a way out of the country for him; he asks where he wants to go.  Dr. Kline comes at Ava with a tranquilizer.  Griffin shows up in a knick of time (we aren’t shown how he got past security).  He fights Kline for the needle, gets it out of his hand and injects the doctor with his own medicine.  Ava thanks Griffin.

Sam tells Jason that she is afraid she “messed up” when she asked him to give up the life he loved; she says, the danger and the excitement is what used to make him “tick.”  She says, if he is bottling that up, it will eventually kill him inside, and she can’t have that.  She tells him she doesn’t want him to deny who he is just to make her happy; he says, that isn’t what he’s doing.  He tells her he wants to be her husband and a father to their children; the couch and all of it, he says, he wants… just to be her man.

Finn goes to see Cassandra; he tells her that he believes she has an actual condition, and he thinks he knows what it is.  I forget this actress’ character name, on One Life to Live, but I can’t help see her as that character; she almost looks like she could be related to the Cassadines (I see a resemblance to the young Helena).  Finn tells this woman that he needs her to come back to Port Charles with him, so he can treat her properly; she is hesitant to leave France.  He leaves her his card and tells her to call him if she changes her mind.

Valentin brings Nina a gift and tells her “happy anniversary.”  She says their anniversary isn’t for three more months; he tells her it is the anniversary of the night they met, and he cherishes that night more than anything.  The gift is a necklace, which looks exactly like the one that went missing at the photo shoot in Morrocco.  Finn tells Anna that he knows this whole scheme isn’t about Cassandra; it’s about Valentin, he says.  Anna claims Valentin is not her main objective in this investigation; Finn still doesn’t buy it.  He tells her that he doesn’t think they will hear from Cassandra again.  Cassandra calls Valentin; she tells him that she wants to know everything he knows about Dr. Finn.

10-02-2017 (Monday) Sanctuary

Michael confronts Nelle about the ring; he tells her she has to give it back.  She says, “like hell I will.”  She claims it gives her some peace about Zach’s death, it’s all she has left of him and says they don’t deserve it back.  He asks her why she lied to Sharon; why not just tell her that she isn’t willing to give the ring back..  She says she was going to tell him later about it.  Legally, she has a right to keep it anyway, she says; Zach gave it to her.  Michael tells her, if Morgan had given some girl his grandma’s ring and then died, he would want it back – and if the girl refused to give it back, he would sue her.  Michael tries to convince her to call Sharon and give the ring back; he says maybe they would leave her alone after that.  He says if she doesn’t give it back, it is going to make it look like his family is right about her.  She tells him she wished he trusted her, but a few months of him being there for her doesn’t erase a lifetime of being lied to.  He says he is just trying to understand; Nelle tells him either he believes them, or he believes her.  Michael tells her he isn’t out to get her; he says quite the opposite… he really wants to help, but, he tells her, she has to meet him halfway.

He sits her ring down and leaves.Dr. Kline finds Ava’s earring in Patient 6’s room; he comes to her room and confronts her.  She claims a nurse must have had it and dropped it in his room; the doctor tells her he knows she helped Patient 6 escape… he says that he is done with her.  He isn’t going to perform the next surgery, and she may not be allowed to leave the clinic now.  Griffin may be her only hope at this point.  The doctor gets a call; he tells the caller that Patient 6 escaped with the help of another patient there.

Sam calls Jason to tell him she will be on her way back to him shortly; he tells her he has a visitor.  It’s Franco.  Jason asks why he visited him in the ICU; he tells him he could hear what he was saying.  Jason questions where the photo is that he found from his childhood, with a boy that looked just like him.  Franco tells Jason that it turned out just to be a blue eyed, blonde kid from the neighborhood.  Jason says he would like to see the photo; Franco claims he has lost the picture.  As he is leaving, Sam comes in.  She asks Jason what he was doing there; he tells her he called him because he needed some information.  He tells her it’s nothing to worry about.

Alexis’ shoe breaks and she falls, stumbling right into Dr. Bensch; he offers to go fix her shoe, temporarily.  Sam continues to push her mother to go out with Dr. Bensch; I don’t really see any chemistry there.  Alexis says she isn’t ready to start dating again; she wants to just focus on her own life for now.  Sam says she would accept that, if she thought it was true, but she doesn’t; she asks Alexis to tell her that she isn’t lonely.Patient 6 escapes the clinic; he is barefoot.  He runs into a priest who doesn’t speak perfect English; he offers shoes to Patient 6. The priest takes him to the church and Patient 6 hides when he hears someone coming; it’s Griffin, looking for a place to pray for help in finding Ava.  Patient 6 is looking for a phone; Griffin offers his phone… he calls Sam and Jason answers.

09-29-2017 (Friday) Two Jasons?

Alexis comes to pick up Sam for her next “toxo test.”  Jason is just sitting back down from practicing walking; he is frustrated that he could only stay up for 36 seconds.  Monica reminds him he just woke up from a coma.  Sam gets annoyed with Dr. Bensch isn’t there to see her yet; Alexis says they are waiting.  Dr. Bensch is having lunch with Kiki; Dillon gets a little annoyed when he sees them.  Bensch gets up and tells Kiki he has to get going; he invites Dillon to sit down and finish his lunch if he’d like.  Dillon sits down and says he hates tuna; Kiki says that must be why David ordered it.  She asks Dillon if her having lunch with Dr. Bensch makes him jealous.  He jokes, first, saying yes, but then tells her he supports her decision and trusts her completely; he offers to walk her back to GH.  Alexis asks Sam if she is going to tell her dad what’s been going on; she says she thinks someone should.  Sam supposes that she means, she wants to go see Julian; she questions her mom about this.  Alexis insists that she just thinks he has right to know, being her father.  Dr. Bensch shows up for Sam’s appointment; he tells her he has already reviewed her blood work results and she can be on her way home as soon as he examines her.  She thanks him and makes an impromptu-invite to a welcome home party for Jason; she says he can bring his girlfriend, or boyfriend along.  He announces that he is single, and straight.  Sam says, “hmmm, an unattached doctor… how about that.”  She looks at her mother.  Sam goes to the exam room; Alexis apologizes for her daughter trying to set them up.  He says he doesn’t mind at all, and compliments her, calling her a “beautiful, intelligent woman.”  Ava has a dream that Griffin walks into her room and tells her that she is beautiful; he peels a bandage off of her face, to reveal perfectly healed skin.  Holding up a mirror, he goes on to say, “on the outside anyway.”  He tells her, “if only you worked as hard to heal your soul as you have your face.”  She wakes up; the doctor comes in and says he will get her something to help her rest again.  She says she doesn’t need anything; he tells her she needs to be fully rested for the second procedure, adding that the first one went very well.  The doctor makes that phone call to Sonny; what he doesn’t notice is that when he sits his file down on Patient 6’s bed, Patient 6 grabs a paperclip.  With the patient still pretending to be out cold, the doctor is none the wiser; he leaves the room.  Patient 6 begins picking the lock on his handcuffs, but drops the paper clip.  He throws his head back on his pillow in frustration; someone picks up the paper clip… it is Ava.Franco runs into Griffin while he is still at the hospital; Griffin tells him that he is worried about Ava and Franco gives him a hard time about his feelings for her.  After all, however, he encourages Griffin to go after Ava if he really cares about her; Griffin seems surprised at his reaction.  Ava watches in amazement as Patient 6 picks the locks and gets out of his handcuffs; he tells her she needs to go back to her room, but they hear someone coming.  Ava hides; Patient 6 attacks the man when he walks into the room and renders him unconscious.  Ava, in astonishment, asks, “who are you?”  He tells her she needs to go and thanks her for her help; he says, “I owe you.”  She leaves; he takes off his mask.  (As we could all tell, this is the actor who formerly played the part of Jason.)  The doctor comes to the room to find the other man laying in Patient 6’s bed; Patient 6 is running down the hall.  Griffin tells Kiki that he is going to try to find her mom; he confirms a flight reservation.  Kiki asks what she can do to help; he says to “hold down the fort” and adds that prayers can’t hurt either.  She wishes him luck; he tells her he will find Ava.Parker looks pleasantly surprised when Kristina walks into her classroom again; Kristina tells her that her uncle is awake.  Parker says she’s happy for her; she tells her she wanted to go out of her way to let her know, because she cares about her.  She also shows her a record of her transcript; her grades are barely passing.  She tells Parker she has decided that she might just withdraw from classes, and manage Perks for her father; Parker says it sounds like that’s already a done deal.  Kristina admits it is; she tells Parker, this way, they don’t have anything standing in their way, since she is no longer a student there.  Parker tells her she shouldn’t have done that, but Kristina says it’s already done; she asks Parker if she doesn’t want to be with her.  Parker asks if she is free for dinner tonight.

09-28-2017 (Thursday) The Reveal

Backing up a bit, Maxie assures Nina that her plan is going to work perfectly; Felicia tells Mac she can’t wait to see the big reveal.  Mac adds, he can’t wait to meet the man who put a little spice back into their relationship; they kiss.  Spenenlli bursts in the room, accusing Nathan of cheating on Maxie, and Nathan makes his announcement.  Everyone in the room turns to look at him.  Nathan says when Spenelli accused him of cheating on her, the only thing that mattered to him is that the world knew he wasn’t.  Nina asks Nathan if he is sure he wants to reveal himself like this; Nathan says yes and she formally introduces him.  Cameras flash.

Sam calls Monica to tell him that Jason is back; she is excited and tells Sam It is all due to her.  Elizabeth comes in and hears Monica cheerfully talking on the phone; Monica tells her that Jason is awake.  She asks when; last night, Monica tells her, adding it looks like he is going to make a full recovery.  Carly tells Michael not to let Nelle isolate him from his family; Michael says his coffee is getting cold and gets up and leaves.  Sonny tells Sam and Jason that he is happy Jason is back; Jason tells Sonny, as much as he loves him, he will not put himself at risk for him anymore.  Sonny says he understands and respects that decision; Carly goes to see Jason, kisses him on the cheek and tells him she is happy to see him awake.  He tells her he is tired of dogging bullets and not particularly fond of catching them; he lets her know that he is done putting his life in danger.  She tells Sonny she misses the old Jason.

Nelle’s unwelcome visitor walks on in; she sees the packing boxes and asks Nelle if she is planning to skip out again and become someone else.  Nelle tells her that she had thought about moving, but she’s decided to stay; she defends herself when Sharon accuses her of killing her brother.  She tells the woman to get out; Sharon says she isn’t leaving until she gets what she came for.  She wants the engagement ring;  Nelle tells her she lost it a long time ago.  She tells the woman she could search the apartment and she wouldn’t find it; she says, “of course not.”  She gives Michael a warning about Nelle and leaves; Michael hugs Nelle.  Nina calls and tells Nelle she needs her help at the Man Landers’ launch; Nelle says she’ll be right there.  Michael offers to stay and unpack boxes for her; he drops one and a large diamond ring falls out with a book onto the floor.  Michael picks it up and looks at it.

Franco brings a check to Monica; Liz tells her what he wishes to be done with it… helping women who have been abused, putting Kiki through med school and rebooting the art therapy program.  She tells him that is very generous; Franco says it’s a little bit “self-serving.”  Elizabeth tells him that she thinks it is a “win-win.”  She kisses him and goes to see Jason, at his suggestion.  Franco runs into Andre, who tells him that he is the one who bought the ‘twin’ painting; they go to Andre’s office and Franco fills him in on the background story to the picture.  Andre doesn’t understand why Jason’s twin was given to Betsy; Franco tells him the whole thing is rather convoluted.  Jason asks Liz how she’s doing; she says she is better now.  Andre asks Franco why he really lied to Elizabeth; he says, at first that he just didn’t want to worry her.  Andre asks what it is he is really afraid of; Franco pulls out a wad of money and says he has to go.  Andre tells him that’s too much money for this session; he’ll keep the rest for the next one.  Franco tells him he doesn’t think he will be coming back again.

Spenelli asks Maxie if she is really okay with her husband being in the spotlight like this; she says she knows that the proceeds from the book go to a really good cause.  She says it’s a “win-win for everyone.”  Spenelli inquires, “even for you, Maximista?”  She turns to look at Nathan and Amy standing up front, having their picture taken together; her smile goes away.

09-27-2017 (Wednesday) The Suspicion

Finn meets with Anna; he tells her about his meeting with Cassandra.  He is frustrated and tells her he got no information on the diamond; he tells Anna that she is just a full blown hypochondriac.  Anna says that’s terrific; Finn says, not for him.  He says Cassandra told him they probably wouldn’t see each other again; within minutes, however, he gets a text from the woman, asking to see him again.

Nelle tells Michael she’s wondering what it’s going to be like sleeping with her landlord; Michael says there is only one way to find out.  They start kissing.  After they get done making love, Nelle tells Michael this is the happiest she’s over been.  She says she wishes they could be “like this” all the time, just the two of them together; Michael tells her she would probably get bored pretty fast.  He surprises her by telling her he has taken the day off; he offers to help her unpack her boxes.  He invites her to join him at his grandmother’s birthday party; she declines.  He says he will just take his grandma out, alone, another time.  Nelle tells him he doesn’t have to do that, but he says he wants everyone to know that they are serious about each other.

Amy is nervously awaiting the book launch, which is today; Nina is there to get “the scoop” she was promised.  She questions Amy about involving her brother; she has sort of a threatening tone in her voice.  Amy tries to assure her that no harm is going to come to Nathan; Nina says it better not.  Maxie tells Nathan he needs to go get dressed; he says he isn’t looking forward to this.  She tells him not to worry, because her plan is “fool-proof”; she says nobody will ever know he is a part of this deception.  Spenelli shows up and tells Maxie, with all that’s been going on with Jason, he hasn’t had time to complete the investigation on Man Landers, which she asked him to perform weeks ago.  He is confused by the calm reaction Maxie has; she tells him to “forget it” and shoves him out the door after he sees Nathan come out in his tuxedo.  Spenelli gets suspicious when he hears Maxie say, “thank God I took care of that.”  He immediately goes to the launch; Amy asks why he is there so early.  She says the public doesn’t know yet; he tells her he’s such a fan, he would like to talk to Man Landers himself.  She tells him, maybe later.

Quinn is surprised when five “Man Landers” come out, wearing ‘Zorro’ masks; Maxie tells her that she is a PR specialist and this is her idea to build public relations.  She says, having five of them “working the room and handing out books” will excite the crowd and make them all the more curious about his true identity.  Quinn likes the idea; she says they will “go with it.”  Spenelli watches from outside the door; he watches as Nathan exits the room and goes out the porch to comfort Amy.  Amy is afraid that Quinn will accuse her of “blowing off the non-disclosure agreement.”  He assures Amy everything will be okay and hugs her; he says no one will find out “about them” but suggests she go in alone so they aren’t seen together all that much.  The minute Amy goes back inside, Spenelli comes running out and asks Nathan, “how dare you?”  He says it is his duty, as Maxie’s friend, to tell her that he is cheating on her with Amy; Nathan follows Spenelli back into the room, telling Spenelli he isn’t cheating, and loudly says, “I’m Ask Man Landers.”  The crowd in the room gasps, and cameras start flashing.  Nathan realizes he just let the cat out of the bag, so to speak.

Carly tells her mom that she doesn’t know that she is doing the right thing; she is meeting with Sharon Grant today, the dead fiancĂ©’s sister.  She says it could all blow up in her face; Bobbie tells her it is for Michael’s own good and she shouldn’t back down.  Sharon walks in.  The lady immediately guesses that Janelle did something to Carly’s family as well; she asks Carly to share her story first.  She then shares hers and says goodbye; Michael comes in for coffee and sees his mother at the diner.  She tells him she was just meeting her mother there; she asks if she’ll see him at the party later and he tells her he and Nelle have decided not to go.  Nelle hears a knock at her door; Sharon Grant says, “hello Janelle… or, I hear it’s Nelle these days.”  Nelle looks horrified.

09-26-2017 (Tuesday) Maxie's Plan

Maxie is disappointed when Nathan turns down her request to make love; he tells her he is just exhausted.  He is anxious about the upcoming book reveal, and tells Maxie he is concerned that everything might blow up; Maxie tells him she has been working on a plan.  She says his life doesn’t have to change tomorrow night.  She shows him her plans; she says it will all work perfectly.  Nathan agrees even Man Landers would approve.Sonny tells one of his men that a wrong number call on his private line can’t be a coincidence; he wants them to find out where the call came from.  Elizabeth tells Griffin she doesn’t understand his feelings for Ava, but whatever they are, she says, she is his friend and he can talk to her.  He thanks her for her friendship, still swearing he and Ava are just friends.Ava talks to herself; she can’t decide if she wants to try to get out of there, or stay; she overhears the doctor on the phone telling somebody that they need to come get Patient 6.  He says this is a clinic, not a penitentiary; he gives them until tomorrow night.  She sneaks into Patient 6’s room; she tells him she is very sorry and apologizes for getting him put in restraints.  He tells her she can; she is surprised that he can talk.  She talks about wanting to be a better person; he tells her to help him.Franco talks to his dad about the information he got from Betsy; Scotty says something still doesn’t make sense.  He thinks maybe there is something that Betsy is still not telling Franco; Franco says he doesn’t think Betsy was holding anything back.  He wonders if he would be “normal” if he had known the truth all along.  Scotty tells him that he needs to tell Elizabeth, even if he doesn’t tell anyone else.  For some reason, he doesn’t though; he tells Liz that the other boy was just a kid from the neighborhood who he used to hang out with; he says he moved away and Betsy made up the imaginary friend story.  Liz finds that odd, since a friend moving away isn’t that traumatic.  Franco says his mom did what she thought was best.Griffin goes to see Sonny; he apologizes if he is overstepping.  He says he knows he has “resources” for locating people that don’t want to be found; Sonny’s associate comes in and tells Sonny that the call came from St. Petersburg,. Russia.  Griffin gets a feeling; Sonny wonders who would be calling him from there… Griffin tells him he thinks it is Ava.  Sonny tells Griffin he really doesn’t care if Ava is in danger; he says no one pushes Ava do to anything she doesn’t want to do.  He tells Griffin not to waste his time with her and she doesn’t have a soul to save; Sonny asks if he has feelings for Ava.  He tells Sonny that is none of his business and resolves to find Ava on his own; he warns Sonny, if he does anything to Ava, he will have to go through him.

09-25-2017 (Monday) Who's There?

Nelle isn’t sure she wants to accept Michael’s gift (the deed to her apartment); she says she doesn’t want his mom to think she is just after his money.  She says she would feel like his Mistress and everyone would see her that way; she asks him what his parents would think.  Carly tells Sonny that she knows Nelle is up to no good; she has a “source of information” she tells him, (the sister of the dead fiancĂ©`).  He promises to keep an eye on her.  Michael tells Nelle he will draw up a Lease, to keep everything above board, “just in case anything happens” and Nelle finally agrees to accept it.  Michael offers to shake on it; she seals the deal with a kiss instead.  Sharon calls Carly.

Betsy tells Franco that there was a twin, but, she says, it wasn’t his twin; it was Jason’s twin.  Susan Moore fled Port Charles to get away from Alan Quartermain; Betsy was a mid-wife, and Heather (being Susan’s cousin) brought her there.  Susan gave birth to two babies, she says; but the Quartermaine’s only knew of one baby, so she only turned the one over to them (Jason).  The other was left with Betsy to raise, until one of them could come back for him (she had no choice, she says; she owed it to Heather, in return for the illegal adoption of Franco, Heather’s own child, by Betsy).  She tells Franco that this other boy’s name was Drew (short for Andrew), and claims that he died when he was three years old.  She said he was born with a heart defect, and just “slipped away” one day.   She is very vague about the details; she said she couldn’t bear all the questions, so they moved and she hid every trace of Drew.  When Franco started asking questions, she told him he was ‘imaginary” in an attempt to save him the grief, she says.  Franco thanks her for finally telling him the truth; he says it’s time for everyone to know.  She begs him not to tell anyone.

Sam steps out into the hallway and doesn’t notice Jason opening his eyes; he calls out to her, but she only thinks she hears him.  Then he has a seizure; the doctors come running; they roll Jason on his side.  The seizure passes; the doctor tells Sam he is going to be okay.  She tells Jason she knew he would come back to her; he asks how long he has been asleep… four weeks, she tells him.

Griffin comes into the diner and sees Valentin; he presses him for answers about Ava, but Valentin gives him nothing.  Griffin grabs Valentin and pushes him back against the counter; Valentin dares him to hit him, but Nina steps in between and threatens to call the police.  Elizabeth pulls Griffin away; she tells Elizabeth that he knows Ava is in trouble.  Ava tells Patient 6, she can’t make a call because they took her phone; she says, if she could get to it, however, she would need a name.  She tells him to write down who he is, and she will see what she can do; the nurse comes in and sees him with the pen and freaks out.  The doctor calls for the orderlies, then yells at Ava; Patient 6 gets up.  He fights the orderlies but the doctor sticks him with a needle; he falls to the floor.  They put him in restraints again and drag him away; the doctor tells Ava he wants to know exactly how Patient 6 got the pen.  He threatens, again, not to do her surgery; Ava gives the doctor the paper with the phone number on it.  He calls the number when he is alone; Sonny answers.
