Friday, July 20, 2018 (S56E78): Down in Flames

Leisel lights the rag and throws the bottle against the wall of the stable; Lulu mentions Spoon Island being quarantined; Maxie tells her that’s a joke.  Lulu tells Maxie to start talking; she says Leisel has been acting “really strange” and hasn’t been to see James.  She says she’s put it all together and believes she is holding Peter captive; she says to make it worse, she thinks Nina is in on it with her.  Leisel leaves Nina with Peter as she leaves the stable; Maxie says she has to stop Nina and Leisel from themselves.   Valentin appears and says he couldn’t agree more; he has called for the launch to Spoon Island.

Nina starts screaming for help; when Maxie, Lulu and Valentin arrive, Leisel says she didn’t mean for it to turn out this way.  Valentin runs into the burning barn; Maxie wants to go help too, but Lulu stops her… she tells her she has to put her son and daughter first.  Obrecht recalls Heinrik’s warning to her, as she stands on the dock; she turns to leave and is stopped by Curtis one direction, and by Finn, the other.  Valentin runs through the fire to find Nina passed out on the floor; he picks her up and carries her out, not even noticing Peter on the floor behind her.  He lays Nina down on the floor and begins to give her mouth-to-mouth breaths (finally, they got it right!)  It takes a while, but she finally comes to; she doesn’t look happy when Maxie tells her Valentin saved her.  Jordan reads Obrecht her rights; Leisel doesn’t tell them where Peter is.  Finn goes into the stables to look for Peter.

Michael gets Nelle ‘home’ and tells her he has her room all set up for her; she questions why not their room.  He says he just wanted her to be comfortable; she says nothing is going to stop her from sleeping with her husband tonight.  Drew comes by; he tells Nelle she better do right by Michael.  She asks Drew how he overcame everyone looking at him and seeing a killer.  She apologizes for being blunt.  She then asks how Jason got away with murder, which pisses Drew off.  He tells her if she is looking for insider information about murder, she is going to have to look elsewhere.  She apologizes, saying she just has a morbid curiosity about that kind of stuff.Sonny tells Jason about the incident last night with Mike forgetting who he and Felix were; he says he just can’t think of putting his dad in a home where “they aren’t family.”  Carly comes to consciousness, somewhat, and tells Diane she has to tell Sonny to stop Michael from marrying Nelle; Diane goes back to Sonny’s.  He asks how Carly is; she tells him… she warns him about trying to get to the new doctor, “because D.A. Dawson is just begging for anything” to throw at him.  She says she will ask the judge for an extensive evaluation of Carly to prove she is being overmedicated, and will request that she be transferred.  Mary Pat tells Carly that the new doctor has a special experimental treatment to try on her.

Chase tells Michael they have to play this very careful; he says there is no telling what Nelle will do.  Michael come home and takes Nelle to their room, and lays down with her; he gets up when she falls to sleep… or thinks she does.  She opens her eyes, then recalls Chase telling her he still loves her and warning her against Michael.  Chase sits, remembering his conversation with Michael and Jordan; Michael was hesitant about the plan to begin with.  She calls Chase and tells him that he was right about everything; she says she can’t stay married to Michael and she needs his help.  He is thrilled.

Thursday, July 19, 2018 (S56E77): It’s All Part of the Plan

Nelle overhears Michael and Jason talking in the hallway; Michael tells Jason, once the baby is here he is filing for a divorce and suing for full custody.  Liz asks Griffin how Kiki is doing; he says some people have asked how she could do this to such a good man’s career.  Elizabeth says she isn’t alone; Liz is surprised when Franco is brought in.  He is confused when they first ask if he knows who hit him, but he does remember and tells them it was Leisel Obrecht.

Sonny calls Diane and demands that she get him permission to speak with Carly; Mike finds the picture Julian gave Sonny.  He says, “I know these guys” and asks Sonny if he’s in trouble.  He warns Sonny to stay away from Charlie’s Place; he says nothing good is waiting for Sonny there.  Suddenly, Mike doesn’t recognize Felix, or Sonny; he gets angry and upset, demanding to know who they are.  Sonny says they are associates of  his son’s and are there to take care of him; Felix asks Sonny if he has thought about any of the facilities they checked out.  Sonny says he isn’t ready for that yet; Felix points out that he could still go see his dad everyday, while letting the staff deal with the tantrums and the headaches.  Sonny says he makes it sound very appealing.  Carly stands in a straight jacket; nurse Mary Pat comes in with a sedative, ordered by the doctor on call while Kevin is on vacation.  Carly tries to refuse it, but it is forced upon her; Rupert holds Carly, but he tries to argue in her favor.  Sonny goes to Ferncliff; he tells Rupert he wants to see his wife.  Rupert says he can’t help him right now; Carly sits in her cell, looking like she’s in a trance.Curtis and Sam determine that

Nina knows where Obrecht is; they ask Maxie when the last time she saw her was.  Maxie can’t believe it when they tell her they think Leisel might have killed Peter.  Obrecht walks in on Nina and Peter talking… she tells Peter he has come to “the end of the road.”  Nina tells her this is over; she tells Nina, “now you’ve left me no choice.”  She tells Nina there is a silver lining to betrayal; she no longer owes Nina anything, and can finish this her way.  Nina begins to cry and tells her aunt this can’t end this way; she begs Leisel to please just let Peter go.  She says it’s time she something for herself; she has a bottle of whiskey with a rag stuffed in it, and a lighter.

When Sam mentions the West Nile quarantine, Maxie tells her they just did an article on that for Crimson.  Valentin is surprised when he sees Franco trying to stand up on the docks; he calls out to him.  Franco passes back out; Valentin tries to wake him, then sees a piece a broken bottle with writing on it.  He picks it up; Chase thinks he has a weapon and tells him to drop it, pointing his gun at Valentin.  Valentin tries to explain, but Chase says he can do that down at the station.  Maxie insists that Nina wouldn’t have been involved in Peter’s disappearance; Sam and Curtis insist she might know something though.

Wednesday, July 18, 2018 (S56E76): Like Heartburn on Steriods

Jason and Sonny talk about Carly’s appeal; Sonny says Carly has made it worse by trying to stop the wedding.  Julian shows up; he hands Sonny a picture of Charlie DeLaney with his “old man.”  Sonny thanks him; he mentions his dad noticing Charlie’s picture on the wall the other day; he says that’s why he wanted to buy the pub – to possibly trigger some old memories.  Expensive price for nostalgia, Julian says; he tells Sonny he still isn’t interested in selling, but Mike can come by anytime for “coffee, on the house.”  Sonny thanks him and he leaves.

Kim brings Julian some brochures about decorating; he tells her this job as turned into more than he expected.  She asks how; we are taken back to Sonny and Jason’s conversation.  Michael and Chase speak on the hospital elevator; Chase asks Michael if he is ready for the next step… Michael says, “very.”  Chase wishes him, “God-speed.”  Kim tells Nelle that the baby is in great shape; she thinks the pain might be being caused by indigestion.  “Like heartburn on steroids,” she says, “when your pregnant.”  Nelle says she feels silly now.  Michael goes to Sonny’ and tells his dad and Jason that he is taking Nelle back to the Quartermaine’s; it’s time to move on to the next step, he tells Jason.  Sonny says it’s time they filled him in on what the plan is; Jason agrees, it is time to tell him what they are planning.  Sonny isn’t comfortable with the idea; Michael says he set this all in motion, so he has to stop it.  Chase comes back to Nelle’s hospital room; he tells her he just wants her to be happy and apologizes for the things he said about Michael.  She tells him he was right, about that anyway; she says she found out that Michael is planning to cut her out of his Will.

The new bartender pretends he doesn’t recognize Valentin, but Valentin can tell he is acting… he is noticeably nervous.  The man mentions being an actor; Valentin reflects back to the pier.  He grabs the man and asks who hired him; he says he doesn’t know her name, but describes Nina to a “t” and Valentine says he knows whom he is talking about.  He shows the man Nina’s picture; he confirms that’s who it was.Franco tells Obrecht, he knows what’s going on, and he is there to help; she looks surprised.  Liz asks what Sam and Curtis need; they ask about Franco’s relationship with Dr. Obrecht.  They tell her they think Obrecht is hiding Peter August in the woods; Liz tells them she knows about the cabin and Franco has told the police everything he knows.  They say they just came from the police station, and Franco hadn’t been there.  She calls Franco, to put their “doubts to rest,” but Franco ignores her call.  Franco tells Obrecht what he knows; without admitting that she has Peter, she spouts off about how angry she is at Dr. Finn for running to the police first chance he got.  Franco says he isn’t sure how Leisel managed to convince herself this was a good idea; he tells her when the cops catch up with Peter, they won’t care what her motivations were.  She says she has no choice but to make sure the police don’t find Peter; Franco stops her as she tries to leave, and says, he can’t let her do this to herself.  He tells her he knows what it’s like to feel rage and need revenge, but warns her she will lose everything unless she steps back.  She says she has already lost everything; he says she still has him.  She smiles.

Liz leaves an anxious message for Franco, then tells Sam and Curtis she’ll let them know when she hears from him.  Sam and Curtis see Valentin and asks he if knows where Nina might be; he recalls her telling him she had to take justice into her own hands.  He tells them he believes he knows where she is; he says she chartered a jet to Manhattan this morning.  After he leaves, Sam tells Curtis she can tell he’s lying; Obrecht knocks Franco out cold on the docks.  She apologizes and asks him to look after Maxie and James, complimenting him on being a “better man than he was” when she met him (although he can’t hear her); she says, she can’t change… and she knows what must be done.

Tuesday, July 17, 2018 (S56E75): Apology Ads

Nina is upset about where Valentin’s ads were placed in her magazine; Maxie reminds her that those ads saved the magazine this month.  Nina calms down and asks how her nephew is this morning; Maxie says her mom is watching him.  Nina says Crimson will be fine without her; Maxie says, maybe so, but she knows Nina won’t.  She tells Nina this is not work stress and asks her to talk to her; Nina confesses that Valentin is trying to win her back – Maxie noticed that by the ads.  She tells Valentin she knows about his plot to win Nina back, and says it isn’t going to work; she warns him to leave her alone, berating him for all that Nina has been going through.  She brings up the fact that he took an innocent child and gave him to a psycho; he claims he had no idea.  She laughs, then tells him to get out of Nina’s orbit and let her heal.

Valentin is pissed when Finn tells him that there is no quarantine on Spoon Island; he says he just as well be tested though.  He draws his blood and asks if he has heard from Peter; Valentin says no.  He asks about the scout; Finn says he couldn’t identify him from the picture… likely because he’s been held captive for weeks now.Curtis meets with Drew to discuss the case of Peter’s disappearance; Drew tells Curtis about Carly crashing the nuptials at the church.  Curtis, Jordan, and Sam discuss the case and plan their next move; Obrecht comes up as a possible suspect.  Finn shows up and says he has some information he thinks might help to find Peter August.  Nina gets food; Maxie questions why so much.  Nina says “storing up.”

Heinrik tells Obrecht that her plan is unraveling; he says, in time, someone is bound to find him there.  She tells him no one is riding to his rescue; he says she will be send away for kidnapping, if not murder.  He tells her she has so much to live for, reminding her that they are telling her story… he asks if she is willing to give that up.  She tells him his attempts to sway her are futile; she says she will always be seen as the outsider, adding that the only person who enjoys her company is Franco.  Heinrik says Franco should be the “poster boy for reformation” and suggests she follow his example and turn herself in before it’s too late; she snaps, “enough!”   She says she doesn’t care what happens to her; Peter guesses it’s because she blames herself for Nathan’s death.  She tells him he is to blame; Nina comes back with the food.  He asks where Valentin is; Nina tells him… he says he is too smart for that and will figure it out.  He reminds her what she’s done, and the trouble she could be in, unless she can “turn it around.”  She says she knows “a way out.”

Jake tells Franco he doesn’t want to go with his dad to the baseball game, but Franco talks him into going; Elizabeth thanks him.  Franco says he wants Jake to like his dad, even if his dad doesn’t like him.  Jason and Jake wait for the game to start; Drew shows up.  Jake runs to him and hugs him, and thanks him for coming; he tells them both, he couldn’t be happier than to have both his dads there.  He asks them if they are both okay with being there together; they both tell him they just want him to be happy.  Curtis asks Sam what went down with her and Drew last night; she says they were able to attend the wedding without the world ending.  Drew goes to get hot dogs, and Jake asks Jason about Sam.  Jason tells her what happens in the future isn’t up to him.  Drew is surprised by mustard landing on the back of his short at the hot dog stand.  A woman apologizes and offers to pay for the cleaning, handing him her card; it’s the new D.A.

Jordan comes in and tells Sam and Curtis that they checked out the cabin and found bindings on the bed; it looks like someone was held captive there.  Elizabeth sees Finn and says that Franco told her “everything” and she knows about the visit to Obrecht cabin.  He says the police know everything now too and have checked out the cabin; she tells him that Franco was going there himself.  Franco is actually at the docs; he finds the quarantine sign suspicious.  He turns around to see Obrecht standing there.  Maxie meets a new employee at Charlie’s; she recognizes him… he is an actor, who played Clocksworth in a show.  She says her daughter loved him; he was great.  Valentin goes to the bar; he recognizes the new employee… he smiles and says, “I know you.”

Monday, July 16, 2018 (S56E74): The Wedding Continues

Ned begins reciting the normal introduction to the wedding vows “not to be entered into lightly,” etc.  The room is surprised when Carly barges in and interrupts the ceremony; she tells Michael he “can not marry her.”  He tries to explain to her that he knows what he is doing, but she doesn’t understand.  Chase gets up and says he has to take Carly in; he tells Sonny “it’s already been called in” and is “on the record that she is here.”  Carly agrees to leave without a scene, but let’s everyone know that Nelle didn’t do everything alone; “she had help.”  Bobbie figures Ava was the one who called and reported Carly’s interruption; Ava denies it.  Joslyn seems concerned that maybe being at Ferncliff is making her mother worse, not better.Nelle says she isn’t going to let Carly ruin her wedding day; she wants to get on with the ceremony and exchange their vows, but the baby has other ideas.  Nelle begins cramping and Michael takes her to the hospital; Jordan tells Sonny that Carly overpowered the nurse and injected her with a sedative.  She says Carly is in trouble.

Sam and Drew offer to take Mike home, since the wedding apparently isn’t going to proceed; Sam tells Drew she doesn’t regret the time they spent together, and never will.  Lucas tells Michael that the baby and Nelle are going to be alright; they are keeping her overnight, “just to be cautious.”  She tells Michael she wants to finish what they started and “get married tonight.”  Michael says they can do it right there, right now; he calls Ned and tells him to come to the hospital to finish the wedding.  He calls Jason next; Carly is upset when she hears they are going forward with it.  Sonny tries to tell her that Michael has a plan; she says it’s too dangerous.  She pleads with him to help her stop this.  Chase appears in the doorway, as Ned asks if Nelle is sure about this; she says everything she needs is right there in that room… Chase leaves.

They exchange rings; Nelle watches intently as Ned signs the marriage certificate.  Carly is returned to Ferncliff; she tells Rupert he needs to help her.  He asks her why she did it; she says her child was in danger.  Sonny tells Jason this plan of Michael’s better kick into high gear, before Carly gets in too deep.Brad tells Lucas he just got news that the birth mother had her final checkup and the baby is due to be delivered shortly; they are about to become parents.  Michael sees Jos and asks her what’s wrong; she says she has something to tell him, “about Nelle and Detective Chase.”  She tells him she is concerned that there might still be some feelings there between them; she is surprised that Michael isn’t concerned.  He tells her he has everything “under control.”  Chase comes back to Nelle’s room, after Michael leaves and asks why he would leave her on their wedding night, if he really loved her; she tries to hit him, but he stops her and leaves again.

Friday, July 13, 2013 (S56E73): The Wedding

Nelle is dressed in a lacy, white dress as she and Michael stand at the alter; Jos stands next to her, and Jason and Sonny are next to Michael.  They kiss and she stabs him in the stomach; Carly wakes up with a start, screaming, “No.”  Michael is getting dressed; Olivia helps him with his cuff links.  She tells him it’s normal to be nervous; Michael says there is nothing normal about this wedding.  Mike forgets who’s wedding they are going to this morning; Sonny reminds him.  He asks if Michael knows what he’s doing marrying this woman; Jason says it’s his decision and they are going to support him.Brad and Lucas are getting ready to go to the wedding; Brad mentions Nelle being their “friend.”  Lucas says he realized Michael’s life tanked once Nelle came into it; he tells Brad he is welcome to be her friend, but he’s not.  He tells Brad he isn’t happy his sister is locked up in a looney bin; Brad can’t believe he is blaming Lucas for that.

Ava comes by and gives Nelle a hard time about signing the pre-nup; she tells Nelle she wishes her and Nelle the very best.  Ava warns her not to let her guard down for one second, adding that Carly will make it her life mission to break them up for good.  She reminds Nelle that she still has the blanket; Nelle reminds her that she still could tell Griffin about the test results on Ava’s phone.Michael gets a call from his mother; she tells him that he can’t marry Nelle… she says it’s too dangerous.  She says she loves Michael, and her phone battery dies; Michael says he loves her too.Jos comes to help Nelle get ready; she is surprised to see Ava.  Ava says she is just leaving; Jos gives her an old, blue barrette to borrow.  Nelle suggests they take a picture, for Carly… so she has something to tie her to the wedding.  Brad stops by and gives Nelle a necklace; she thanks him and says his is the only true friendship she has.  He says, “knock ‘em dead” and she says, “oh, I plan to.”

Mary Pat calls Kevin; Carly is freaking out.  She says she wants to give Carly a sedative; Kevin tells her not to.  He goes to see Carly immediately; Carly tells him she has to stop the wedding… she says Nelle is going to kill Michael.  She says she can’t take that again; she can’t lose another son.  She starts crying about how she couldn’t protect Morgan; she says she doesn’t know what to do about Michael and she feels like she is going to die.  She starts hyperventilating; he tells Mary Pat she is suffering from a panic attack and probably does need a sedative.  Mary Pat comes in with it, turns her back on Carly as she gloats about her temper tantrum getting her in trouble; Carly gets up and grabs her arm.  Kevin comes by to peek in her window and sees someone laying on Carly’s bed, wrapped up in the blanket; we know it’s not Carly.  The wedding begins; Carly storms in and says, “my son will not be getting married today.”

Thursday, July 12, 2018 (S56E72): The Will

Leisel gets upset with Heinrik’s “dribble” as he reminisces about how we never appreciate life, it’s value, it’s true meaning, until we are about to lose it all; she says this is supposed to be a publication worthy sequel with a satisfying ending.  He tells her, they both know how it ends; he finishes the story, she finishes him.  She tells him that’s right, saying no one is coming to his rescue; we see Nina’s call being missed.  He says he can’t even think right now, let alone come up with a story; she hears her voicemail alert and listens to the message.

Nina tries to stop Valentin from going back to the island; she tells him the Department of Environmental Protection is trying to get a hold of him.  They are quarantining Spoon Island, while they spray for West Nile Virus; he doesn’t believe her, until a man shows up claiming to be from the DEP and hangs up a sign, closing the launch.  Leisel tells Peter that Nina has set it up so that no one will be coming to the island; she sits back down with her notebook.  He tells her they are going about this wrong; he says she should be the main character of his sequel, because he focused too much on his father in The Severed Branch.  He gets her to sit down and start telling her own story.

Stella sees Sonny and Mike at the hospital and asks how Mike is doing; Mike tells her that Dr. Griffin wants him to take Tango lessons, and he needs a dance partner.  Stella laughs and says she loves to Tango; he kisses her hand.  He mentions Michael’s upcoming wedding, then starts recalling his own and gets emotional.  Jordan sees Stella and asks if she would have dinner with her and Curtis sometime to help plan the wedding; Stella says, “whenever you say.”  She then picks up her phone and calls somebody, telling them they should come visit sooner, rather than later; she says she is sure Curtis would love to see this person again.  Curtis goes to see Nina; he tells her he and Sam have a new theory about Peter’s disappearance, and asks what she can tell him about her aunt Leisel.  He asks if she has been acting suspicious at all; Nina tells him her aunt is brilliant, but she is also a “lunatic.”  She says she would be suspicious if she starting acting like a normal person; he says not to tell Leisel they had this conversation.

Sam tells Valentin she overheard his conversation on the phone, suggesting he learn to “take no for an answer.”  He tells her to stop snooping around Spoon Island, unless she wants to get West Nile; Sam isn’t sure why he says that, but tells him they have no more interest in Wyndemere.  Curtis comes back and tells Sam that Nina definitely knows more than she is telling them.  Sam asks Curtis if he knows about West Nile Virus around there; he doesn’t.  Nina goes back to the launch pad and pays the actor playing the part of the DEP agent.

Michael talks to Alexis; she says she is surprised he didn’t hire Diane to “handle this.”  He says, Diane is his dad’s lawyer; he wants his own lawyer.  He tells her he wants to draw up his Will; Nelle listens around the corner.  He says, after today, everything changes; he tells her he wants to make sure the person who means the most to her in the world is taken care of after he is gone… Nelle smiles.  Her smile leaves when she hears Michael say he wants to leave everything to his child; there is no one else he has to worry about, he says.  Nelle approaches him after Alexis leaves, and asks him, “do you love me?”  He says, “of course,” and asks why she would ever doubt it.  He reassures her they are going to be “so, so happy” once they are married and have the baby; he hugs her.  When he leaves the room, she calls her lawyer; she gives a hypothetical scenario about a friend, who got married and died without a Will.  She asks what happens in that case; Michael is listening around the corner now… he smiles.  She seems excited when she is told the spouse would inherit everything; Michael nods his head.

Wednesday, July 11, 2018 (S56E71): The Pre-nup

Michael asks Nelle to sign a pre-nup before they get married; she calls a lawyer to represent her.  He tells her “it’s just a formality,” saying everyone who marries into the family signs one; she says okay, because “as long as [they] are together, these papers don’t mean anything.”  He thanks her and says he is going to file them; the he will bring her copy to put in a drawer and never look at it again.  Ned comes in; Nelle thanks him for helping them with the wedding.  He says no problem; she mentions the pre-nup Michael just had her sign.  Ned tells her Olivia signed one too; he mentions, however, that she did it because she wanted to… not that it is mandatory.  Nelle looks pissed.

Olbrecht moves Peter to Wyndemere (in the stables); he screams for help, she asks if he wants to experience the kind of pain that warrants such cries.  She looks in her purse and suddenly realizes the notebook is missing; Chase tells Finn that he needs to talk to him about his mom and their father.  They aren’t coming to town after all; Finn is holding the notebook.  Chase gets a text from Michael, saying “she signed the pre-nup.”  Chase calls and asks Nelle to meet him; he tells her he is sorry for everything he laid on her yesterday.  She asks if he meant it; he says yes… but he says he was wrong.  It’s clear that Michael wants to spend the rest of his life with her; he says, “he hasn’t given you any reason to doubt that, has he?”  She says, no; Michael is from a wealthy family, so of course, he is going to ask her to sign a pre-nup.  He sees that she is upset and questions it; he tries again to talk her out of going through with the marriage.  He tells her they can still be together; he tells her he will give her the life she deserves and they can raise the baby together.  He says he can give her the love Michael never will; she says, “he can give me something you can’t.”  A life of stability and comfort, is what she says; she asks how they would start a life together with Michael’s family after them… she says this is a mistake and she shouldn’t have come.  She says she’s moved on and walks away; Chase says, to himself, “we got her.”

Drew asks Nina what is up; he tells her he knows, the last few weeks, she has been hiding something.  She has forgotten about a deadline for this month’s issue; she assures him “this is an anomaly” for her.  She tells him she will get the ads sold by tomorrow night; Valentine, standing outside the door, sees Drew leave.  He goes in; Nina gets a call that he has purchased all of the ad space for the August issue… one of the ads is a plea for her forgiveness.  She tells him she isn’t running these ads; she says she still loves him too, but she cannot trust him anymore, and what he did with Heinrik changed the way she looked at him, forever.  He says as long as they love each other, they can fix anything; he tells her he has to go back because the stable master has a problem, and he has to take care of the horses.  Nina tries to call Leisel to warn her; but she is busy taking notes, in a new notebook, as she forces Heinrik to finish his sequel.

Lulu finds Maxie at Crimson and questions why she isn’t with James; she says her mom and Mac took him for the afternoon.  They end up getting in another argument; Lulu says Maxie is just looking for a reason to be mad at her… Maxie says she doesn’t have to look very far.  Lulu asks how they could have a day like yesterday, then treat her like dirt today; Maxie starts talking about how Nathan will never be able to hold James and blaming Lulu for printing that story again.  Lulu says she doesn’t even remember how long it’s been; Maxie says, “five months.”  She tells Maxie she thought her article would lure Faison out, then he would be arrested, and they would be safe; she tells Maxie if she never wants to talk to her again, she needs to just say it.  She is tired of this back and forth, hate and hope game they are playing; Lulu tells Maxie at least she is there, trying.  She says Maxie is the one treating someone she loves like garbage; she starts to walk away, and Maxie throws a beach ball at her.  Lulu turns around and throws a pool toy, and they start throwing all kinds of stuff at each other.  They end up laughing.  Then the conversation turns sentimental; Maxie admits that she is just angry because the man Lulu loves is coming home eventually, and the man she loves never will.

Tuesday, July 10, 2018 (S56E70): The Man in the Cabin

Peter talks Nina into untying the ropes.  Franco and Finn set out to find the man in the cabin; when they get to the cabin, Leisel is there… she tells them this is her “sanctuary” where she comes to be alone.  Franco pretends he believes her and starts to leave; Finn kicks the door in.  They are all surprised to see that the bed is empty… but the ropes are still there.  Leisel tells them, “it’s not what you think.”  She tells them that she has been having “sex, of the adventurous kind… with a willing partner.”  Finn says, “this isn’t over” and leaves; Franco rolls his eyes at Leisel.  Nina shows up later, and tells Leisel that Peter is “in the root cellar.”  Leisel makes Nina help her move him back to the bed; Franco texts Leisel, saying that Finn is going to alert the authorities.  Leisel says they have to “rid” themselves “of this prisoner” and grabs a pillow; Nina grabs the pillow, telling her aunt she can’t kill him.  Nina says she knows where they can move him, but she isn’t going to let Leisel kill him.  Finn calls Anna to tell her he has something important to tell her about her son.

Jason tells Sonny he wishes they could do something that doesn’t involve Michael marrying Nelle; Michael comes home and tells his dad and Jason that he and Nelle are getting married tomorrow.  Chase tells Nelle that she knows “this marriage to Michael isn’t going to work.”  He asks her what will happen if he gives in to his family’s pressure and divorces her, leaving her penniless; her face turns angry.  Jason says he doesn’t like the idea of Michael marrying Nelle; Sonny tells Michael it is his decision.  Michael tells Jason he is doing this to protect his child; he says it’s his risk and he tells Jason not to take that away from him.  Chase tries to tell Nelle that he is mad at himself for “not taking care of” her when he had the chance.  He tells Nelle, he believed in her innocence and he didn’t work hard enough to prove it; he tells Nelle he still loves her and thinks he always will.   He says rushing into a marriage just because of a baby is the worst thing she can do; Michael comes back to the table and tells Chase to get away from Nelle.

Kevin goes to see Carly; he brings playing cards.  He says they should explore where she’s at right now; she knows he means, her “grief over Morgan.”  She tells him that she knew something was off, but she didn’t want him to think that she didn’t trust him, so she didn’t say anything; she thinks it’s her fault that Morgan is dead.  Kevin tells her she has to focus on moving forward now; Sonny shows up to visit.  She asks what he has to tell her; can’t be worse than Nelle marrying Michael… Sonny says it’s happening tomorrow.  Carly says she hopes Michael knows what he is doing.

Curtis tells Sam that he has tracked down information about a missing laundry cart that no one saw leaving the hotel; she says it is possible that Peter could have been in that cart.  Sam says she went back to re-examine the security footage and focused on who was pushing that cart.  She notices that the shoes are women’s shoes because they have a heel.  Jason tells Sam what is going on with Michael; he says he can’t stand by and watch it happen.  She reminds him that he is the one who told her, sometimes they have to do things they don’t want to do.

Monday, July 9, 2018 (S56E69): James Comes Home

Finn asks Chase to meet him for lunch; he asks about Peter August, and Chase asks if that’s why he asked him there… Finn says, no.  He says he wanted to give him a birthday present; he gives him tickets to a game.  Chase notices the weekend; it’s the same weekend his parents are coming to town to visit.  Finn says he didn’t realize, swearing he was just trying to do something nice.  He says maybe he can get one more ticket so that the three of them can go; Chase deduces, that way, Finn wouldn’t have to run into “their father.”  Finn apologizes for the effort and leaves.

Maxie comes home with James; at the door, she stops and says she and Nathan dreamed of this moment.  Leisel tells her that Nathan is alive in James; Maxie welcomes James to the place his “father was most alive.”  Leisel holds baby James for the first time and tells him she is his “Oma.”  Maxie takes James to his room; Nina asks Leisel if she would please go make sure Peter is okay.  She tells her she doesn’t want him to die at their hands; Leisel goes.  Nina later asks Maxie how she feels about Peter now; Maxie says she believed he (Peter, not Heinrik) was her friend and she has decided to hold on to the good.  She says Nathan would have wanted that.

Peter tells the scout to hurry; he says he is actually still working on his badge… he sucks at knots.  They hear Leisel coming; the boy hides under the bed.  Leisel briefly comes in and tells Peter that she just held her grandson for the first time, and she needs some solitude to think about what she is going to do with him now.  She goes for a walk; when she comes back, she finds the scout’s bugle and asks, “how did this get here.”  Nina comes in and claims the bugle us hers, but Leisel doesn’t buy the story; nonetheless, Nina talks her into going to get more antibiotics.  She goes to GH and asks Dr. Bensch for a prescription, for a cut on her finger, so she doesn’t get an infection; he gives it to her.  The scout goes to Franco, and tells him about the man he found in the cabin, tied to a bed; Franco has him draw a picture.

As they walk out to the elevators, the boy sees Olbrecht and says, “that’s the villain… stop her.”  Leisel laughs and asks what’s wrong with the boy; Franco says he doesn’t think there is anything wrong with him.  She says he’s crazy and gets on the elevator; Finn asks the boy if he can tell them where this cabin is.Michael tells Nelle he can’t wait to make their “little family complete.”  She asks him why he is in such a hurry now; he says because he wants to show Chase that he isn’t going to win.  She says she really wants a big wedding, and wants his family there; he says okay.  She disappears for a minute and then comes back to tell him that Olivia is going to shut down the Metro Court tomorrow so they can hold their wedding there; she tells him to call his whole family and tell them they are getting married tomorrow.

Griffin tells Kiki he still isn’t convinced that Alexis doesn’t need to know about them sleeping together; Scotty tells Ava he needs to tell her something; she says she already knows what he is going to say.  She says Franco already told her about the picture Bensch has of Kiki and Griffin; Scotty remembers hearing Kiki and Griffin talk about sleeping together.  He says, “the picture, right.”  Ava says this is why she wanted him to take the case, so he could protect Kiki; Scotty says he has an obligation to use any evidence his client shows him.  He doesn’t tell her what he heard; she goes to see Griffin.  She tells him she just needed to look into the eyes of the man, she knows would never betray her.

Sonny asks Julian about his expansion; Julian says he is thinking about ripping the back offices down to the foundation and making everything new, and adding an event room.  Jason asks Sonny how long until they find the body, once they start ripping things down.  Sonny says he would like to make Julian an offer for the place, so he could go somewhere bigger and better; Julian tells Sonny he isn’t interested in selling.  Sonny says the offer is on the table; as they leave, Jason says he will make some calls… maybe they can hold Julian off by a couple of weeks.  At home, Felix tells Sonny that his father has been agitated today; he keeps saying he doesn’t want to let Sonny down.

Friday, July 6, 2018 (S56E68): Colonel Sanders

Maxie stops by to see Lulu; she tells her she is sure she is missing Dante.  She thinks they can help each other out… like they used to; Lulu smiles.  Maxie has a surprise for her; Colonel Harlan Sanders shows up at the door?  She asks how they know each other; the Colonel says that’s quite a story.  It started when the syndicate tried to steal his secret recipe; they tried to hack into his mainframe.  Spenelli helped him disarm the destruct sequence; he tells Maxie they are possibly still after it, and he asks if she has a secret place he can hide something – not a safe – just some place no one would look.  Maxie says yes, and jumps up to get a fake book, with a storage compartment; the colonel gives her an envelope to put in there.  He says all eleven herbs and spices are in that envelope; he leaves, and Lulu says that was the coolest person she’s ever met.  Cool as it was, though, she says, the best thing was hanging out with Maxie.  Maxie gets a call; James is ready to come home.

The scout comes back to see Peter… he is looking for his bugle.  Peter tells him he left it by the door; the kid says thanks and starts to leave.  Peter asks if he told anyone he was there; the scout says, “no… who would have believed me?”  He says everyone accuses him of making up stories; besides, he says, he isn’t supposed to talk to strangers.  The kid offers him a smore; Peter says he can’t eat it unless he unties him.  The kid says he has a badge in knots, and starts untying the ropes.

Chase asks to talk to Jordan; he tells her “we are ready for the next step.”  She says that’s assuming he gets “cooperation,” which he says shouldn’t be a problem.  She tells Chase that she’s afraid his plan is too risky; it puts a civilian in danger, she says.  He says Janelle Benson got away with murder once; it can’t happen again.  Nelle tells Michael that she hates that his mother is making him chose between them; he tells her he is completely at piece with his choice.  They are told they may have to wait up to an hour for her appointment; Dr. Nero is delivering another baby.  Michael gets a text from Chase; he tells Nelle it’s ELQ.  He gives her money for lunch and tells her he will be back in time for her appointment.  She meets with Ava at Charlie’s; she shows her the engagement ring.  Ava asks what her plan is, questioning if she is going to take Michael out kayaking.

Michael shows up at the PD; Jordan tells him they are discussing a plan, but he needs to decide if it’s something he wants to do.  Michael asks what he needs to do; Chase says, “you need to die.”  Jordan tells Chase, he better check everything three times to make sure nothing goes wrong; Chase tells her by the time he is done, this case will be airtight.  Michael goes back to the hospital and tells Nelle he wants to get married… today.

Jason and Sonny talk; Jason says it was a good move, putting Rupert on the payroll.  Sonny tells him they need to talk about some “old business” – Croton.  He and Jason go to Charlie’s to check it out; Julian tells Sonny he is planning some major renovations.Griffin tells Kiki they need to decide what to do; she says it’s already decided… they are not disclosing that they slept together.  Griffin tells her, if they get asked on the stand, they can’t commit perjury; he says Alexis needs to be prepared, just in case.  Kiki only tells Alexis about the hug though; she swears there is nothing else to tell.  Alexis tells her if she thinks of anything, she needs to know; “nothing worse than being left in the dark about something that will affect the case,” Alexis says.

Thursday, July 5, 2018 (S56E67): The Walls Hold a Secret

Stella chews Griffin out for his sloppy writing on his paperwork; she can’t tell if “this is an M or a W” … Griffin says he wrote that in the ER.  Stella says it isn’t her job “to decipher the Rosetta Stone.”  He tells her he will be more careful in the future, and lets her know that he doesn’t think he has the right to “impose” on her or anyone else for that matter.  He brings up what happened with Kiki and Dr. Bensch and says “we don’t condone that… we are not okay with one of our collegues using his position of power to impose advances on” anyone.

Franco tells his father Kiki’s future means the world to him… Scotty says she’s “a big girl and take care of herself.”  Franco snapps at him that “it doesn’t matter how old she is.”  Scotty says, “it sounds like you are kind of familiar with this experience here.”  He tells Scotty he better be “ready” for it, if he tells him; he sits him down and starts by talking about being “just a little kid.”  When he finishes, Scotty doesn’t know what to say; Franco allows him to hug him.Alexis tells Kiki they need to meet.  She says Dr. Bensch is using the ploy of making the victim look like a slut who was asking for it… Kiki looks scared.

As Sam talks to Drew, she begins to cry; she tells him that she will always miss what they had… that she still loves him, but she HAD to do this.  He says he understands.  She takes off her rings and gives them to him, since the divorce is final, she says; he hands it back to her and says, “let’s not do this.”  He asks her to keep it and give it to Scout one day, because “these rings represent more love than” he’s ever known.  She takes them back and leaves, still crying.  Oscar comes into work; he is noticeably upset.  He asks Drew why he told his mom that he wanted them back together; Drew says he didn’t.  He explains that they were talking and she mentioned how Oscar didn’t like Julian, and said she figured he probably wanted his mother and father together.

Drew tells him it’s a very natural thing to want, and no huge assumption because he has made it clear how he feels about Julian.  He assures Oscar he and his mother will be there for him, no matter what.  Sam goes and meets with her mother and tells Alexis that she is devastated that her marriage to Drew is over, but she is sure she made the right choice.  She then mentions Kiki, and says she thinks that her client is keeping something from her.Kiki tells Griffin they need to talk; they go to a quiet spot in the park.  She tells him about the picture of them hugging; she says it was before the Nurses’ Ball, so it was nothing.  He asks if she told Alexis that they slept together; she says she didn’t.  Griffin tells her maybe they should; Scotty overhears them talking about it.  He shakes his head.

Sonny questions his father again about Croton; he asks where the body is.  Mike can’t remember.  Sonny reminds him that he said, “closer to home” and asks if he meant he moved it “here, to Port Charles.”  He realizes it must in “the Pub” and asks his dad; Mike says it’s in the foundation, He says the feds would have to tear that building down and bust up the foundation to ever find it.  Julian tells Kim he is expanding the back room, to make some space for private rooms for parties.  She gleefully chuckles about what he may find in the walls; he says he can handle anything that might be there.

Wednesday, July 4, 2018 (S56E66): Milo Visits

Milo is downstairs at Sonnys, talking to Mike; they are having a wonderful conversation, laughing about old times.  Milo tells Mike about his days as a stripper, and how he performed on stage at the Nurses Ball once.  Mike asks Sonny why he wasn’t up on the stage with him; Sonny says he leaves stripping to the professionals.  Mike turns around and says, “this is great; do you know him?”  Sonny is disappointed; Milo says, “me and your son go way back.”  Sonny reminds his dad to go take his medicine; “pill police,” Mike says, as he goes to get his pills.

Oscar meets his mom for lunch; she asks him if he’s ready… he says, “I’m ready for you to stop messing around with Drew.”  She tells him she has reciprocated feelings for Julian, and she and Drew have talked about this.  Oscar asks if Drew talked to her about things he said to him.  She says he didn’t tell her anything he said; they were just talking about what they had and how he remembers none of it.Sam goes into the offices at Aurora and tells Drew that she wishes him all the happiness in the world, and says that Scout and Oscar are lucky to have him as a father.  He tells her, “it’s official” – he got the divorce papers today; Sam looks a little sad.

Tuesday, July 3, 2018 (S56E65): Fireworks

Nelle goes to visit Carly at Ferncliff…she tells her she forgives her; Carly is stunned, and probably confused.  She catches on that Nelle is being sarcastic, and puts on a phony front herself; she tells Nelle she is working really hard to get back to her family… Nell says, “your ever-growing family.”  Carly gushes over the baby, and reaches out to touch Nelle’s belly, but Nelle pushes her hand away, sweetly; she offers to get her some water.  She tells her she can’t believe the time has gone by so fast… but then, she’s been very busy she says; Carly agrees.  Nelle tells her she won’t ever be too busy for her, though.  Carly smiles; Nelle tells her she’s been talking to Jos.  Although she seems to hope it will piss Carly off, but it doesn’t.

She says she’s glad Joslyn has her; Nelle says that’s good, then she won’t mind that she asked Jos to be her Maid of Honor.  Carly says, “of course not.”  Obviously shocked by the news, as Nelle flashes her ring, Carly maintains her composure and says she is actually very happy for them.  Nelle seems disappointed.  Sonny shows up; after Nelle leaves, Carly tells Sonny, “this is not happening.”  Nelle goes home and tells Michael she tried to tell Carly gently, hoping it wouldn’t upset her, but “no such luck.”  She asks if he thinks Carly will ever “come to accept her.”  He says she will calm down after the baby comes.

Franco meets Elizabeth’s childhood friend, Terri; he is surprised to see she is a woman.  He asks Liz, “this was your first kiss?”  Elizabeth smiles.  Terri tells Franco, she “went by ‘he’ back then.”  They sit down and have a glass of wine… Franco makes a big deal about how Liz could have warned him; she said she would have – it was a surprise to her.  Terri tells Liz she has a consult at GH in the morning; she is going to be working there for the Fall.  Elizabeth asks why Terri didn’t tell her she had transitioned; she says she wasn’t sure Liz would accept her.  Elizabeth feels bad that she would even think that and tells her, she is her oldest friend and she will always love and accept her; she asks Terri to come to the wedding.

Jos and Oscar go to the park to watch fireworks; Jake happens to show up.  He tells Oscar that he was her first boyfriend; he says he gave her a candy ring, and she ate it.  She laughs, “it was cherry – what’d you expect.”  After a short conversation about whether Jos is working at Lila’s Kids this summer, Jake decides to go back home.  He is angry when he comes in the door.  Franco and Elizabeth look at each other, as they sit on the couch, and kind of laugh at him as he storms up the stairs.

Kim and Julian go out to dinner; Julian talks about Leo and how he still wishes he could have been a father to him.  Kim reminds him he has Lucas, although grown already; Julian acknowledges that and says he can’t wait for his grandchild to arrive.  Then he tells Kim, he is worried though, that the birth mother can come snatch the baby back at any time in the first six months.  He asks Kim’s advice; she says some things are “just out of your control.”  She asks Julian if it’s hard for him to be with her because she kept Oscar from Drew; he tells her, her situation was different.

Sam has dinner with Lucas and Brad; they toast “to the baby.”  Sam takes Danny up to the footbridge to watch the fireworks; they run into Jason up there – Jason tells Danny that he paid to have that bridge built there.  Danny says that’s cool.  As the show ends, we see Danny sitting up on Jason’s shoulders, standing next to Sam, watching the fireworks display.  All of them are smiling.

Monday, July 2, 2018 (S56E64): The Big News

Michael calls his family together at the Quartermaine mansion to announce his engagement to Nelle; no one, but Joslyn, is particularly excited about the news.  Michae tells them, they could at least congratulate him; Olivia steps up and says she’ll be the first to wish the best to both of them.  Jos tells them she is happy for them, and Nelle asks her to be her Maid of Honor; Jos accepts.  Sonny steps forward and holds out his arms to hug his son and tells Michael he will support him, whatever decision he makes; he welcomes Nelle to the family, more or less.  Ned tells them congrats, as do a few others, no so sincerely and everyone goes home.

Maxie’s baby shower and still going on; Nina is getting nervous about leaving Heinrik the way they did; she tells Leisel that they have to get him more antibiotics.  Leisel makes a trip to the hospital to grab some, unnoticed.  Nina tells Maxie she is so excited baby James is coming home day after tomorrow; Maxie beams with joy and says she can’t wait.  She tells everyone she needs to get home to make things ready for James and leaves.  I can’t help but notice how great she looks with the few extra pounds she has gained and still has on, as she walks out the door!

Heinrik thinks he has been rescued with a young scout walks in the door; he says he is a “wolverine.” He’s out trying to earn a badge; Heinrik tells him he can earn three badges if he saves his life.  The kid asks if he knows his scout leader; he says no.  The kid says he can’t make any promises about badges then, and starts to leave; Heinrik calls out and asks him to tell his leader, and any other adult he can find, that he is there and that he is injured and sick.  He tells Heinrik he can’t because the fireworks are stating, and says he might bring him back a smore’ later.

Friday, June 29, 2018 (S56E63): Dante Goes Undercover

Felicia shows up at the Pub for Maxie’s baby shower; everyone wonders where the hostesses are.  Obrecht and Nina are trying to get Peter’s fever to come down; Nina says he is burning up.  Obrecht says they need to worry more about Maxie’s baby shower; Nina doesn’t want to leave him, but they go.  Lulu tells Maxie about Dante’s mission; she says she already misses him.  Nina and Obrecht burst through the door; Maxie asks where they’ve been.  Leisel says it took them a while to secure all of the supplies.

Maxie gets a call that baby James is coming home day after tomorrow; Peter hallucinates Maxie being by his bedside.  He asks her to help him and she says she isn’t there to help him; she is there to tell him what a horrible person he is.  At the shower, Maxie gives a speech, thanking everyone for their support and says she knows Nathan thanks them too, and is there in spirit.  She tells Peter that she wishes he would have been who she thought he was, her friend, “Peter.”  He tells her, if it will ease her pain, he will let go, and let him self die; he says to tell him what to do.  She disappears and he hears a faint rendition of “TAPS” playing in the distance.  He screams out, asking who’s there; the door opens… he says, “hello?”

When Kevin comes to visit Carly, she asks if he had anything to do with getting Jason fired; he admits that he did.  He told Mary pat that Jason got the job using an alias; she asks him to leave.  He says he did it to protect her; he says, if Mary Pat realized that he knew who Jason was and didn’t report it, he would be suspended from practicing there and she would really be alone there.  He says for the sake of his patients, including her, he can’t afford to be suspended; she says he understand.  He asks Carly to tell him about her bond with Jason and how it endures; she says she frustrates him all the, he gives her great advice and she almost always ignores it and he goes out of his way to fix it.  She says he has always been there for her, and he always will be.  She says it doesn’t make any sense; she has betrayed him, but always loved him, and loves her; that’s all there is to it.

Franco asks Drew to be his best man, after Drew admits that he considers Franco a friend; he tells Franco he committed to Curtis too though, so he can’t change the date.  Franco is thrilled and they shake hands; he isn’t so thrilled when Elizabeth tells him she got a text from an old “friend” she used to know, and actually shared her first kiss with.  Franco asks if he should be jealous; she assures him, he should not.  Franco tells Drew he is a little bothered by it though, thinking this guy might still have feelings for Liz – she said they were “soulmates.”  A woman shows up at Elizabeth’s door; she tells Liz, “I’m Terry.”

Jason thanks Sam for offering to help her; she heads out to get the paper from the evidence room at the PD. Spinelli comes to meet with Jason; Jason tells him that he got fired.  Spinelli can’t believe Dr. Collins gave him up; Jason says he understands and tells Spinelli he left Carly with a phone.  Sam gets back and says getting the paper was “a piece of cake.”  Spinelli creates a solution that will make the disappearing ink reappear.

Thursday, June 28, 2018 (S56E62): Chase’s Promise

As Alexis and Kiki talk about the lawsuit and how they are going to move forward, Bensch walks in to Charlies; Kiki freezes momentarily.  Alexis tells her this is her chance and gets her to focus on her.  Kiki says she is fine; Alexis warns Dr. Bensch that they will be seeing him in court.  Kiki stares him down as he holds his to-go bag before leaving. Finn comes in to ask Franco if he wants a burger from Charlie’s, which surprises Franco.  Finn says Apiphany made him ask; Franco thanks him but turns it down.  Ava says he should have accepted and then asked Finn about what is in the lab there, thinking there may be something that could help them kill Bensch.

Franco laughs and tells Ava they aren’t seriously talking about killing the man; they were just venting.  She says she doesn’t vent; she lets him know that she is absolutely serious about it, if Kiki doesn’t prevail in court.  Franco tells Kiki, “if the law fails Kiki, then we won’t.”  Scotty comes in and tells them that Bensch approached him about defending him against Kiki’s complaint; he says he turned him down, pointing out what a good father and friend that makes him.  Ava smiles and looks at Franco; Scotty asks, “what?”  She has an idea; Scotty goes back to the hospital and tells Dr. Bensch that he will take his case after all.Finn comes in and sees Alexis at Charlie’s; she tells him she is still a bit mad at him.  She tells him that cynicism is her specialty, because it masks the pain, which is the part she isn’t very good at; she says she is trying to figure out why she does what she does.  He tries to take blame for their relationship, but she says it’s about her making decisions that are bad for her… and he is one of them.

For some reason, Dante reflects back to Lulu drowning, and him jumping in to rescue her and trying to get her to breathe; he gets a phone call, which interrupts his memory.  When Lulu comes home, Dante asks if they can talk; he tells her the guy who tried to drown her has been found.  He is being transferred to the task force going to get the man; she questions why he has to be on the task force… he tells her he asked to be included.  He says this is a way to make a change; these arms dealers hurt thousands of people and he can’t let what happened to her, happen to anyone else.  He reminds her they are teaching their kids to lead by example, and he has to do what is right.  She asks how much time they have; he kisses her.  When Dante tells Chase he is going to be leaving, Chase promises to look out for his family while he is gone; they shake hands.

Nelle questions why Michael wants to marry her now; he claims it’s because he wants to be a real family.  She points out that marriage and parenthood don’t always go together; he asks if she is turning him down… she says she just doesn’t want to get married just because they are having a baby.  He says it’s more than that; she questions if he still loves her.  He says “yes” and says he was just afraid of what everybody else thought; he says he has never, ever stopped loving her.  She says “yes, I’ll marry you” and hugs him; his face over her shoulder says it all.

Drew comes to see Elizabeth and asks if he received an invitation to the wedding by mistake; she laughs and tells him it was actually Franco’s idea to invite him.  She assures him that she also wants him there though; he wonders if it is really a good idea, though.  He says he is a reminder of the worse thing that ever happened to Franco.  Liz tells Drew, Franco actually cares about him and considers him a friend; Drew laughs and says he doesn’t think so, but agrees to go, saying, “you’ve got to take care of your friends, right?”  Drew tells Liz he is still struggling with who he really is; she points out that the one good thing that came out of all this is, he doesn’t have to carry the burden of Jason’s past.

Sam and Jason see each other at the gym; Jason tells her that he is worried about Carly.  He says it’s bad in there; the patients are dangerous and that nurse has it out for her.  Sam says Carly is smart, but Jason says he is worried because her instinct is to fight, and that will make things worse.  Sam understands that he can’t let that happen. He says, if he can’t get her released, then he will break her out.  Sam asks then what… he says they could go to Canada until the attorneys work it out; Sam pleads to his reasoning.  She says he can’t become a fugitive again and Carly won’t leave her family; she tells him he just has to prove that Carly is innocent. Sam makes a call; she tells Jason they are going to find that flyer Nelle left on Carly’s window, the two of them, together.  Certain it was written with disappearing ink, they say it will prove Carly’s innocence.

When Dante leaves, they kiss goodbye, and Lulu breaks down in tears as she recalls how they first met, at the bar, playing pool.  Michael comes in to see Dante, looking for a marriage license; Chase tells him Dante isn’t there.  He looks at Michael with concern, and says, “isn’t it a little fast?”  Michael smiles and admits it is, but says he knows what he is doing; Chase looks concerned… Nelle just smiles gleefully.

Wednesday, June 27, 2018 (S56E): Michael’s Plan Plays Out

Sonny gets special permission to visit Carly; Mary Pat tells Carly she is going to file a complaint about it.  Carly is happy to see Sonny; Rupert interrupts their visit and tells Carly she knows what is going to happen.  Sonny tells Rupert they need to have a talk out in the hall; he pays Rupert a pretty penny to make sure his wife “is taken care of.”  Rupert is impressed with the number on the bill and smiles; he says “yes sir; nobody messes with your wife, ever.”  Sonny goes back in to tell Carly everything will be alright; she hugs and kisses him.

Chase and Janelle have a conversation at the diner; he tells her he is going to do everything he can to prove she is guilty.  She reminds him he couldn’t prove it before; he says that’s why he’s in Port Charles and he will get her this time.  She tells him good luck with that; he reaches out and touches her arm…almost as if he still has feelings for her.  She screams “don’t touch me and pulls away” just as Michael walks in the door; he asks what’s going on.  Nelle tells Michael she just wants to get away from him and asks him to take her home; he suggests she get a restraining order, but Nelle says it won’t do any good.  Sonny comes home and tells Michael he needs to stay away from Nelle; Michael tells him he can’t do that.  He says he has “to make this right” – he promises his dad his “eyes are open” and he knows exactly what he’s doing.  Sonny says he hopes so, and leaves.  Nelle comes out asking Michael if he believes any of those terrible things Chase said about her; he holds her hand and tells her “I believe in you.”  He then suggests they get married.

Kiki watches as Francesca considers telling Michael about Dr. Bensch harassing her; she chickens out and says she just wanted to apologize for ruining their date.  He says it’s okay; Kiki talks to Michael after Francesca leaves.  He tells her not to worry and says he is proud of her for coming forward; she says she wishes someone else would.  Franco brings Elizabeth into work; they run into Griffin and Ava.  Franco asks Ava if he could buy her a cup of coffee.  Liz gets a text from someone she never thought she would hear from again.

Julian tells Kim that he went to the session with Alexis and he says it went well; he tells her he “was happy to help.”  She asks how it was; he says okay, after the beginning.  He surprises her with reservations at a hotel in Florence, Italy.  Kiki calls Alexis and asks to meet with her; Alexis reminds her when she walks in to Charlie’s that she doesn’t have much of a chance unless someone else comes forward; Kiki tells her that someone else has.  Francesca walks in behind her; Alexis smiles.  She tells Alexis and Kiki that she actually gave in and had sex with Dr. Bensch; she says after she did, the harassment stopped.  She figures that’s when he moved on to Kiki.  Alexis tells them she is proud of them both; she says “let’s sue his ass.”  Franco and Ava both admit to each other that they both know the name of the man who was harassing Kiki; Franco asks Ava what they are going to do about it.  They laugh about not being their “old selves anymore” and then think ‘hypothetically’ what they would do, if “doing it the right way doesn’t work.”  They resolve that if Kiki doesn’t get the justice she deserves, then, one way or another, Bensch will get the justice he deserves.

Tuesday, June 26, 2018 (S56E60): A Special Visitor

Dante brings Chase coffee and Chase wonders why; he asks if its laced, as the last time they talked Dante was angry with him.  Chase says he is just trying to protect Dante’s family… Dante says, no; all he wants to do is bust Nelle Benson.  Same thing, Chase says.  Dante tells him it’s too late; Nelle has already hurt his family.  Michael finds Nelle on the floor looking for the perfume again; he tells her he found it.  It’s not the cologne she was actually looking for, but she thanks him and blames it on “baby brain” when he tells her it was in the medicine cabinet.

Nelle starts to talk about Chase and how creeped out she is by the shirt he sent, and him following her there; Michael tells her it will be fine.  She talks about why she turned him before and wonders if she should turn him in again; Michael inquires further about all he has done to her.  He tells her she did the right thing… about Chase; but not with him.  He questions her trust in him and convinces her that he will be there “always.”  Suddenly Nelle decides she needs to go, to talk to Jos; he offers to go with, but she insists she go alone.  She kisses him goodbye and he allows it; he wipes his mouth after she leaves the room.  Nelle asks Jos if she found a bottle of cologne at her apartment; Jos lies and says she threw it away.  But when Nelle runs into Oscar and smells it, he tells her Jos gave it to him today.

Jason comes over to Sonny’s; Sonny thanks him for getting the job and keeping an eye on Carly.  Jason tells Sonny he was fired.  Carly reaches for the phone Jason left her… Jason talks to Michael; Michael assures him that Nelle thinks she has him eating out of her hands.  Mary Pat walks in the door and asks what she has in her hand.  Carly hands her a notebook, saying Dr. Collins told her to keep a journal of her thoughts.  The nurse reads it and is impressed with the attitude; she then smirkly tells Carly it is too bad she can’t tell her friend, Jason Morgan.  Sonny asks what happened; Jason says he thinks Dr. Collins sold him out; Mary Pat tells Carly not to even try denying it… she tells her she knows everything about Jason Morgan now.  Carly asks how and she says it’s none of Carly’s business.

Jos takes of picture of Oscar with his mom and dad after a school ceremony; she is noticeably upset.  Oscar asks her why and she explodes on him about how her family is falling apart, with her grandpa losing his memory and her mom in the loony bin.  She storms off and tells him to have a good day.

Olbrecht gets her copy of the new PK Sinclaire book and makes a big deal about it to “Peter” while he still lays, handcuffed to the bed.  She starts reading, accenting the lines dramatically; Peter gets irritated.  She tells him, “suenly, keeping you alive is looking much more interesting.” She wants him to write a book, confessing all of his sins; a sequel to the Severed Branch.  He refuses.Jordan compliments Maxie on baby James’ arrival; then tells her she needs to talk to her about Peter, “as the commissioner.”  She tells Maxie, out of all the people in this town, she may have been his only “true friend,” Maxie laughs; then gets angry.  She says she isn’t Peter’s friend, and tells Jordan that he told her just the most minimal details about his life.  She says she has to take care of things for the baby and can’t answer any more questions.

Felicia tells Anna she can’t understand how hard it must have been to bear the burden of her secret all these years; Anna thanks her for her kindness.  Felicia asks about Robyn; Anna says it’s going to take time.  She asks “who is comforting you?” and Finn, touches her shoulder and says, “me.”  Felicia laughs with joy.Jason peeks into the room of the patient who is screaming; Kevin tells him not to worry about that patient.  He lets him into Carly’s room to “finish cleaning” and goes to check on something.  Jason gives Carly a phone and tells her only to use it in an emergency; when Kevin comes back to talk to her, she tells him that the insanity plea was a legal tactic… she admits that she lied, saying she has been in control of her facets the whole time.  She says, however, she did not push Nelle down the stairs.

Jason comes to see Anna; he tells her what’s going on.  She thanks him for all of this help with everything; he thanks her too.  Then she apologizes for almost shooting him; he says he understands.  Valentine still pleads his case with Nina, reminding her how he has saved her ass more than once; she takes it to mean he is trying to blackmail her. He swears he is not.
