06-19-2017 (Monday) The Warning

Carly comes to talk to Michael, about his father; she tells him she is signing over Sonny assets.  She has decided not to keep them; if asks if they are getting back together, and she says no.  She says they are still getting divorced; they just want to keep it as friendly as possible now.  Michael hugs her and says that’s great; Nelle comes through the doorway.  Michael gives her a look, which she takes to mean that she should back up out of the doorway; she bumps the wall.  Carly asks what that was; Micheal says it’s probably just Danny exploring.  He tells her he is glad they are working through things because they are always best on the same side; they want to make sure Ava is punished.  He says with Nelle’s statement, those charges will stick.  She says if she doesn’t testify, the statement won’t matter; he assures her she will testify.  Carly asks what’s up with him and Nelle now, wanting confirmation that he doesn’t still have feelings for her; he tells his mother that Nelle is trying to turn his life around and she deserves credit for that.  She tells him he is a good, kind man, reminding him that Nelle set out to sabotage their family.  Carly warns that if he lets Nelle back in she will to the same to him; she gets a phone call from Sonny.  Nelle comes in after Carly leaves; she tells him she heard enough.  She says it’s okay; she is just there to thank him for the job referral, but tells him she turned the offer down; when he asks why, she says because she doesn’t want to cause any more problems between him and his mom.  He argues, but she still refuses to take the job; he tells her they eventually have to tell Carly that they are seeing each other, to which Nelle acts surprised.  Michael tells her any day he gets to talk to her makes it better; she says she is glad for that, but for now, she just wants to avoid upsetting Carly.  She leaves; Michael looks disappointed.Olivia is frustrated with her inability to find a lawyer to fight for custody of Leo; she fears he won’t be found guilty of the charges and needs to be prepared.  Ned tries his best to make her feel better by telling her they will build a moat around their house if they have to, to keep Julian out; he kisses her.  He tells her he wants to get married this summer; she says it sounds soon, but he says they are up to the challenge.  She brings up the fact that she wants Leo to have his name; she says she wants him to feel like part of the family.  Ned tells her he grew up with his father’s name and it didn’t make him any better a father, nor did it make Ned feel any more a part of the family.  He tells her Leo is his family, she is his family… and he kisses her.Ava grabs for her morphine drip; she presses it, desperately, banging it against the handrail.  Apiphany comes in; she tells her everything is in working order and she has received her maximum dose.  Ava tells her she can’t go on, drugged up half the time and in so much pain when she’s awake she can’t stand it.  Julian comes in to see Ava; he asks her about the DNR order, which is laying on the table by her bed.  She asks him if he might want to put her out of his misery right now; she tells him all she has to look forward to is a lifetime of pain, and she knows that’s the only reason Sonny let her live.  Sonny gets a visit from Griffin, who asks him if he is planning on killing Ava Jerome.  Sonny says he can do with her being in pain every time she breathes; Griffin acknowledges sonny is taking pleasure in her pain, but Sonny denies it is pleasure.  He says it’s just God’s will; but Morgan is dead because of her, he reminds Griffin.  He asks Griffin if he really expects him to forgive the man who killed his child; Griffin says, following the tenants of his religion, “yes.”  Sonny tells Griffin he doesn’t know what it feels like to have raised this child to a fine, young man, and then watch him die because someone messed with his mind.  He pours himself a drink of brandy; Griffin says forgiveness is the only way to heal.  Sonny questions if Griffin has forgiven Julian for killing his father; Griffin just looks at him.  Sonny says, “I didn’t think so.”  He tells Griffin Ava’s soul can’t be redeemed because she never had on to begin with.  Julian tells his sister that she can do this; he tells her Sonny wants her to quit… he tells her not to let him win.  She says at least he can forget, for a few hours at a time at least, what happened to her; she tells him he doesn’t have to be there.  He takes her hand and says he’s not going anywhere.  Apiphany comes in and says she has to change Ava’s bandages; she tells Julian he can wait outside.  Before rewrapping her face, Ava asks to see what she looks like; Apiphany tells her it’s too soon and she may not want to, but Ava insists.  Apiphany gets her a mirror; Ava screams, “NO.”Spencer comes back to the bench and says he heard them talking about moving in together; he asks what about him.  Laura assures him that Kevin invited them both to move in; Spencer asks what Kevin’s intentions are for his grandmother.  He tells Spencer his intentions are honorable; Spencer asks him to define what he means by honorable.   Kevin tells Spencer that he loves his grandmother very much, adding he isn’t certain how she feels; Spencer asks Laura if she loves Kevin, adding that he wouldn’t want her getting into a romantic relationship JUST to put a roof over his head.  She avoids answering Spencer’s question at first, but eventually admits that she does love him, very much.  She tells Spencer she wants to know how he feels about living with Kevin, even though she is going to make the final decision; Spencer asks if he will have his own room.  Kevin says he has a spare room, which he has to just clean a few books and games out of; Spencer tells him he doesn’t have to move the video games.Jason takes Sam home and helps her take a shower; she tells him she feels much better and apologizes for snapping at her earlier.  She knows he was protecting Jake and she overreacted; she says it’s only because she loves him so much and doesn’t want to lose him; he promises she will never lose him.  They kiss in preparation to make love.  Sam wakes up to her head-voice telling her the family is not safe and she has to protect them; she gets up out of bed, slipping out from under Jason’s arm.  She comes back into the room, holding a butcher knife; she sticks the knife under her pillow and crawls back into bed with Jason, now curled up on his other side, and snuggles up behind him.

06-16-2017 (Friday) Another Soldier of Helena

Laura tells Lulu she thinks she and Spencer need to move out; she says Charlotte needs her own room.  Lulu tells her  mom she is fine right where she is; Spencer comes in the door and complains this living arrangement needs to change.  Lulu asks what Rocco did; Spencer says Rocco is fine… it’s “her.”  They ask Dante what happened on their walk; he says really nothing happened.  Spencer continues with the attitude; Laura asks him what is up.  He reminds her that Charlotte and her father took his house, are riding his horses, etc.; Laura tells him that’s enough.  He says it, indeed, is; he asks if she has already forgotten about his father.  Kevin shows up and is happy to see Laura there; he asks her if she wants to go with him since he now has the afternoon free.  Spencer says he wants to go; everyone else agrees he should.

They take a walk in the park; he sees a pretzel cart and asks for one.  Laura tells him he can have one, but makes him promise to apologize to Charlotte when he gets home.  He says he will, but he won’t enjoy it; duly noted, Laura acknowledges.  She and Kevin sit down on the bench; she tells him she knows that she has been spoiling him, adding his whole family has done it all of his life.  She says she feels bad about intruding on her daughter, and tells Kevin it’s time she and Spencer get a place of their own; he suggests his place.  She says she doesn’t want him to feel like he has to rescue her; he says if that’s what it seems like, he is doing something wrong.  He tells her that he wants to wake up next to her every morning; she argues that he might get annoyed by her and asks if he isn’t scared… he says no.  He tells her his feelings for her are real and permanent, threatening to dig out his Santa suit to convince her; she laughs.

Amy is upset that Nathan was listening on her conversation; he says he just wants to help.  She finally agrees to confide in Nathan and tells him about how great her older brothers was (is, she says)… She tells him he was her “Man Landers,” always offering his advice when she had troubles; she tells him after he got home from Afghanistan, things changed.  She tells Nathan, her mom had to put him in a group home eventually because they couldn’t take care of him anymore.  She tells Nathan she started the column as a “hobby” – then her mom died – she reveals that her dad was never in the picture, and it was up to her then to pay the bills to keep Chet taken care of.  She says she decided to monazite her blog and then people started asking questions and wanting to know what Man Landers looked like; she admits that taking his picture and posting it online was an impulse and apologizes again.  She gets up to leave and drops her folder; Nathan is shocked to see all of Chet’s medical bills.  She makes Nathan promise not to say anything to anybody about all of this; he promises.  Even Maxi, he says; she tells him goodbye and starts to walk away, but he tells her to wait.  He asks what he needs to wear for the interview; she says she didn’t confide in him to guilt him into doing it… he tells her he knows, adding friends help each other and that’s what they are – friends.  She hugs him.

Jake asks his mom what she is still worried about; she tries to cover, claiming everything is fine.  Jason pushes the man off of him and down to the floor; he asks, since Helena is dead, who the hell he is working for.  Hayden comes running into the exam room, darts through and into the bathroom; she comes out and apologizes for them having to hear that.  Liz tells Jake to go play with her phone; Hayden confesses that she is pregnant.  Sam talks to Kevin about her concerns; she says she can’t wrap her head around the two years of Jason’s life that are just missing.  The man gets the upper hand on Jason, and pins him down by the throat; he tells her that he used to treat Jason “way back when, after his car accident” and says he is the most resistant patient he ever had.  He says Jason wanted to remain in control; they discuss how Helena controlling him went against his very nature.  Jason manages to get his legs up around the man’s throat, pulling him off; the man tells him he had no choice but to work for Helena…”any more than you did when you were working for her.”

As Jason holds him over the edge of the balcony, the police arrive; they almost arrest Jason too, but Sam explains that he was defending them.  The police officer asks Jason to come down the station and give a statement; Jason tells Liz that he doesn’t believe Helena can hurt them again.  Liz asks Hayden if she will watch Jake for a minute; she says sure and takes him to the vending machine.  Jason tells Elizabeth that Costa is in custody now; she asks if they are sure he isn’t answering to anyone else.  Jason tells her that he says he wasn’t and he believes him; he says whatever Helena did to him, she did to this guy also.  He was just carrying out orders; as they talk, Sam looks over at Jason and sees blood all over his forehead.  Jason notices the strange look on Sam’s face and walks over the stairs where she is sitting and asks if she is alright; she tells him, “no, I don’t think I am.”

06-15-21017 (Thursday) Lockdown

As Olivia sits, looking through a bridal magazine, Julian walks up behind her; he asks if he is going to get an invitation to the wedding.  She is shocked that he is out on bail; she asks how Ava is doing and he tells her she’s getting better.  He asks to see Leo, but Olivia says he would just be confused; she says things are just now normal for him, and tells Julian about his second birthday party and how nice it was.  She begs Julian to consider her request to let Ned adopt Leo; he protests, saying he is his father.  She tells him he needs to be a good one, and give his son what he deserves.  She walks away; he follows her.

Amy tells the other person on the phone that she will come up with a new plan to get them through the month; Nathan asks what he can do to help.  Now Amy gets mad at Nathan, saying she already asked for his help and he turned her down; he says he just can’t be an advice columnist, but tells her if she wants to talk about it, he is there for her.  Dillon walks in and asks Amy if she is alright; she yells at him, saying she doesn’t need everyone asking that.  He brings up the high school reunion and she gets even more frustrated, saying the way some people were then and the way they are now… she groans and says she just can’t do this right now, looking at Nathan, and walks away.  Nathan and Dillon talk; Nathan tells Dillon he and Amy only recently met.  Dillon tells Nathan that he has known Amy since high school; he tells him how sweet and kind she always was.  He tells Nathan she has a brother who used to play football; Nathan does some checking and finds out something about Amy’s brother.  He says he fells even worse now than before; he goes after Amy.

Jason tells Spenelli the man on the New York Driver License used to work for Helena Cassidine; he says if this man is still working for her, he may still be in town.  Sam goes to see Griffin for a check up; he tells her all of her vital signs are normal and asks what other symptoms she is having.  He says she may just need rest, which he knows is a tall order for a mother of two; Sam recalls seeing Liz walking toward her with that gun.  She tells Griffin there is something else.  Spenelli says he has found a credit card number; he is going to try to get into the charges.  He does; he tells Jason they are going to find this guy.  Griffin tells Sam she could have Mono, but he says she is always exhibiting symptoms of PTSD.  He wants to do a full check up, but she refuses.  He asks her make an appointment with Dr. Lee, at least; she agrees and says she will make an appointment on her way out (but she doesn't).

Olivia reminds Julian that he lied about ever leaving the mob and tells him that he has no right to Leo anymore; Alexis steps up behind Julian and says actually he does have a right to see his son.  She points out that Olivia lied, saying Leo was adopted; she says Julian could have sued her for custody and he didn’t.  Olivia asks Alexis if she really wants Julian to beat these charges after what he did to her.  Olivia is pissed and says she thinks Alexis is using Leo to prove how much she still loves Julian; Sam comes in and asks what’s going on.  She stands up for Olivia, saying that Julian let his sister lead him around by the nose and put her in danger; she tells her mother, if she is going to defend him, she has nothing more to say to her and leaves.  Jake says he is bothered by the magic set he got for his birthday; he asks where Jason took it after the Nurses’ Ball.  She says she doesn’t know; he tells her it turned into something weird and scary and says he doesn’t want it back.  She is relieved and tells him that’s fine; she gives him quarters to go to the vending machine.  Phillipos is by the vending machine; Jake looks at him.

Elizabeth is busy with her phone, looking the other way.  She asks if he is done; the man steps aside as she turns around.  Jake says they don’t have what he wanted; she says they’ll go find another machine and they get on an elevator.  He tells his mom that he has decided maybe he wants to be a psychologist when he grows up; he says Lila’s kids is having Career Day tomorrow and he wants to learn more about being a doctor.  Jason calls and tells Liz that this man could be there right now; he tells her to find a room for her and Jake, and lock the door.  She sees Griffin and asks if they can talk to him in the exam room; she explains the urgency to Griffin and he plays along.  He tells Jake he is locking the door to hide from a mean administrator.  Jason shows up; the man sees him and runs onto an elevator.  Jason tries to catch the doors, but they close before he can grab them.  He runs up the stairs and catches the man on his way up to the roof; Jason tells him he just wants answers.  The man tells Jason they could each walk away; he says no… they are going to end this right now.  They begin wrestling; Jason is pinned against the wall.

06-14-2017 (Wednesday) Trouble Still Looms

Sam is upset because Jason is still obsessing over the Chimera; she tells him she is concerned about why it still matters to him and says he needs to let it go.  Jason tells her he isn’t assuming the threat to Jake is over, because they don’t know that for sure.  He says someone was working for Helena, and he needs to find out who that is; Sam argues that someone else could do that, but Jason says he can’t let go of the fact that someone put a weapon in his son’s hands.  Sam gets obviously upset, and tells him that she is just tired; he says he is going to “chase down this receipt,” tells her to take a nap and says if she feels up to it later, they’ll have lunch at the Metro Court.  Elizabeth brings Jake in for a session with Andre; she tells him that she is concerned that now he is acting so normal.  She wonders if Helena planted something else in his mind that is waiting to be triggered.  Andre tells her not to be concerned.  He says she should just treat him like she does Cameron and Aiden; he says we all carry trauma from the past.  The challenge is to face those traumas, and not to fear them.

Nina tells Nathan that she received a dress that she ordered for Charlotte months ago; she wants to give it to her, but is afraid of interfering in her life at this time.  She says Charlotte is just getting used to living with her mother and she doesn’t want to get in the way.  She shows Nathan her divorce papers, which Valentin signed before leaving for the Netherlands; Nathan says he knows the guy loved her and it couldn’t be easy for him to sign those.  He says he’s sorry.  She tells her brother it was a wonderful time in her life, but it’s over now; she is going to try to move on with no regrets… but maybe one.  Amy comes into the diner and sees Nathan; she asks if they can talk.  She tells him she needs him to make an appearance as Man Landers for her; he refuses.  She tells him it’s a matter of life or death, but when he asks who’s, she says her book deal; he tells her she will have to find someone else.  When he walks out the door, he hears Amy crying on the phone; she is telling someone not to give up.  She says she isn’t giving up, it’s just going to take longer than she hoped to raise the money.

Anna comes to see Lulu, regarding Valentin; she tells Lulu that he is in a cell in the Netherlands awaiting trial.  She says she is there because he asked if he could record a video for Charlotte on her phone; she promised she would show it to his daughter.  Lulu refuses to let her show the message to Charlotte; Anna argues that he was sincere and loves his little girl… she says it’s sweet, he talks about looking at the same star and that he will always be thinking about her.  Lulu asks if that’s all it says; Anna says he promised to come back for her.  Lulu shakes her head; Nina walks in the door and asks if it’s true there is a chance Valentin could be freed.  Lulu tells Anna she has to go pick up Charlotte from Lila’s Kids; she leaves the two of there standing there.  Nina asks Anna to tell her, in confidence, whatever she knows; she says she doesn’t believe he will get off this time.  Nina asks if she thinks that’s just, when he sister isn’t going to pay; Anna (who is supposedly still really Alex) says that he sister was in custody, but she got away, claiming not to know where she is now.  Lulu comes back with Charlotte; Charlotte is happy to see Nina.  Nina gives her the present; Charlotte loves the dress.  Nina makes a big deal out of the fact that she is living there with Lulu now, saying she probably won’t see her as much now, but tells her she loves her; Charlotte tells Nina she loves her too.  Lulu decides to let Charlotte listen to the message; she says she wants Nina to hear it too.  (“Lulu” is so obviously pregnant it is ridiculous; why haven’t they written that into the show yet?  A miracle pregnancy?)  Charlotte and Nina each put in an earphone and listen to Valentin’s message.

Spenelli tells Sonny that he is sorry for his loss, noting that he was a fine young man; he asks if he is going to let his death go unavenged.  Sonny says Ava is already paying for what she did; Carly comes out, excited to see Spenelli and hugs him.  He tells her he would love to stay and reconnect, but he has to a job to do and must go; Sonny asks Carly what she is doing there.  She says they need to talk about what happened yesterday.  She says things got emotional last night; he agrees, bringing up all they’ve been through.  He tells her that at least they no longer have to think they failed their son and says maybe Ava will die; Carly tells Sonny that Ava’s condition has been upgraded to stable.  He says, no matter, Ava will pay one way or another; he leans over to kiss her and Carly stands up.  She tells him she can’t do this.  She tells him Joslyn is upset about walking in on them; he says they can’t live their lives just for Joslyn.  He tells her he loves her and wants to be with her; she says she feels the same way, but she is concerned about something Jos said.  She tells him they just keep hurting each other and she doesn’t want to keep doing that; he says they can do better.  She tells him she understands now why he did what he did to Jax, because if the situation were reversed and she found out he had slept with Brenda, she would have done the same thing.  He laughs about how alike they are; she smiles.  He says they belong together and asks if she still wants the divorce.

Jason meets with Spenelli; he shows him the shipping receipt for the package that was delivered to Jake, containing the magic kit and Chimera.  Elizabeth shows up at Sam’s asking if Jason is there; she tells her Jake is with Andre right now.  She mentions the shipping receipt and Sam gets upset, telling her Jason is out there right now trying to find out where it came from; she’s concerned that’s going to stir up trouble.  Liz says they just want to keep everyone safe; Sam hears Helena’s voice telling her that her family will never be safe.  Elizabeth turns and reaches in her purse; she says she has something for Sam.  She pulls out a gun and walks toward Sam; she says she “signed this” because Jake should be able to go and play with the other kids.  It wouldn’t be fair to keep him locked up in the house all summer, she tells Sam; Sam still sees her holding a gun, pointing it at her.  She says she added her as an extra contact and hopes that’s okay; Sam looks again.  Liz is holding papers in her hand; forms for Summer Camp.  She asks if Sam is feeling okay; Sam looks confused.

Spenelli locates security cameras on an ATM and a convenience store across the street; he hacks into them to find who delivered a package at that date and time.  He finds an image of a man with the package, getting into his car; Spenelli tries to enhance the image and makes out the license plate.  Jason says if he weren’t going legit, he could hack into the government records and see who owns that car; Spenelli smiles and starts typing.  Andre plays a word association game with Jake; he asks what Jake thinks of when he mentions his dad… Jake says motorcycles.  He asks about his mom; Jake says pizza.  Then Andre asks what he thinks about when he mentions Cassadine Island; Jake gets silent.  Andre tells him he isn’t alone any more; he is home, and he tells him he isn’t a bad guy… he’s a good guy.

Sam falls asleep on the couch; she wakes with a start.  She thinks she hears something, as Helena’s voice still echoes in her head; she realizes it’s just Scout waking up from her nap.  Liz comes back to pick up Jake; Jake tells Andre he doesn’t want to be a magician anymore.  Andre asks why; Jakes says he thinks he would rather play baseball or soccer, or ride motorcycles.  As they are talking in the doorway, a really creepy-looking man, dressed as a hospital intern, stands behind Elizabeth; Liz tells him he has plenty of time to figure it out.  Spenelli finds the owner of the car on the security footage; it is a rental, rented to a man name Phillipos Costa.  They show his Driver License; it’s the same man that is standing behind Elizabeth right now, as she still talks to Andre.  He follows them when they leave.  Jason says he recognizes the man.

06-13-2017 (Tuesday) Let's Make Sure

Jason is concerned that someone is still out there doing Helena’s “bidding” – he sets out to figure out who delivered that package to Jake, now knowing it was not from Spencer.  He fears this person will strike again at any moment; Sam wants him to drop the whole thing.  She keeps hearing a voice, telling her that they are not out of danger; she begs Jason to “let it go.”   Anna stops by Lulu’s; Lulu is figuring out that having two children is way harder than having one.  Rocco and Charlotte are driving her crazy; things get more complicated when Nina shows up at Lulu’s door.  Nina overhears them talking about Valentin.  Carly is conflicted about her feelings for Sonny and her daughter’s feelings toward him; Joslyn’s words kind of struck a chord.  Carly goes to Sonny’s to ask him what that kiss meant for him.

06-12-2017 (Monday) Awake

Jordan tells Curtis that she had put Stella in the back of her mind; to have her bring everything up again is more than she can handle.  Curtis asks her if that means she is backing out on them; she tells him not to put words in her mouth.  Stella goes to the café, where TJ is working; TJ is happy to see her.  She tells him she just got into town today; says the restaurant at the hotel is too expensive.  She refers to him being a doctor, but he reminds her that he is not even in med school yet; he is a nurse.  She tells him it’s only a matter of time, calling him determined, which he questions as stubborn; she says there is a difference between being stubborn and being focused.  Curtis tells Jordan he doesn’t want his Auntie to set them back, reminding her how far they have come; she says, regardless, they are still keeping a secret about TJ… the fact that he is not actually Thomas’ son.  She tells Curtis they are going to have to tell her one day; he says they will, just not yet.  TJ questions if his Aunt Stella’s feelings had changed about him; she questions why they would.  Curtis and Jordan happen to walk into the café; Stella assumes that Jordan had told him she didn’t want to be a part of his life.  She tells TJ it was not her choice to stay away from him; Jordan admits to keeping them apart and apologizes.  TJ realizes Stella doesn’t know the truth about Shaun; Jordan asks him to be patient and says they will break it to her gently when the time is right.  They all sit down at the table and eat; Stella tells TJ that she has decided to extend her stay and make it open-ended.  TJ smiles, but Curtis and Jordan look worried.

Spencer is having a talk with his grandmother; she is not happy with the way he acted today.  Spencer says Cameron brought his wrath up himself for soiling Emma’s honor; he says he does regret the way he treated Hayden though and will write her a note of apology.  Laura suggests he wash her car instead; he says he doesn’t do chores.  She tells him he does now; Scotty shows up and Spencer goes inside. Laura asks Scotty if what she heard is true; she asks if he really helped Ava with what she did to Morgan.  He asks her why he would do something like that; she says he has been known to have questionable judgment at times.  He says, if he did anything, it was under an attorney-client obligation; he asks if she would still consider him worthy of caring about, if he did.

Kiki sits by her mother’s bedside; she tells her that she doesn’t want to lose her, despite what she did to Morgan.  She says she still loves her and begs her to come back; she whispers to her that she needs to make up her mind to live.  Ava opens her eyes.  Carly tells Sonny, if Ava were to die she might feel some kind of justice for Morgan; she thinks it would bring them peace and the chance to heal.  Sonny kisses her; she kisses him back.  Joslyn walks in and isn’t happy to see them kissing.  She goes to her room; Sonny leaves.  Carly asks Jos if she wants to talk about what she saw; she says no, but tells her she is welcome.  Carly asks for what; Joslyn says for saving her from Sonny, and from herself.  She believes it’s obvious what would have happened if she hadn’t come in when she did; Carly tells her things aren’t always what they seem.  The doctors examine Ava and tell Kiki that her mother’s vital signs are stable and she seems to be holding on; they can’t say she’s out of danger, but there is hope.  Kiki tells Dillon to go home, thanking him for being there; he says he doesn’t want to be anywhere else, but agrees to go.   Kiki is upset when she sees the DNR orders, but her mom explains to her that it really is what she wants, “if it comes to that again.”

Kiki tells her the doctors are coming up with a treatment plan and she is going to be fine; Ava tells Kiki that she is so sorry for what she did to her, and what she did to Morgan.  They both begin to cry.  Ava swears she was just trying to protect her; Kiki begs her to stop, saying she can’t hear this right now, she just wants Ava to focus on getting better. Scotty goes to the hospital, where he sees Dillon leaving; he asks Dillon what’s going on and Dillon tells him Ava is awake.  He asks what the prognosis is; Dillon tells him they doctors are talking about moving forward with treatment.  He starts to question who is allowed to visit her; Dillon says just family for now, as far as he knows.  Scott asks about cops; Dillon looks confused.  He says, as her lawyer, he wants to make sure she doesn’t say anything while she is confused and on medication that might implicate herself or any one else; Dillon punches him.  Scotty asks what that was for; Dillon says it was for trying to make sure Ava doesn’t implicate him in a cover-up while she is in there fighting for her life; he says the last thing Kiki’s family needs is him bothering them with his agenda.  He tells Scotty to leave before he kicks his ass out himself, adding that he doesn’t know how Scott lives with himself… Scott says, “neither do I.”

Laura brings Spencer to see Sonny; Sonny is thrilled to see him and gives him a big hug.  He has sandwiches prepared for them; they eat while they visit.  Laura makes him take his own plate back to the kitchen and he makes a big deal out of her giving him “more chores.”  Sonny asks what’s going on with Spencer; Laura says she isn’t exactly sure, but that all of the sudden he feels it’s really important for him to be here in Port Charles and near the family.  Sonny offers to spend some time with him; she warns him that Spencer can be a handful, reminding him he doesn’t have Carly for backup.  Sonny says things can change when you least expect it; he smiles that charming smile of his.  Carly tries to explain to Joslyn that she and Sonny just love each other and they always will; she says nothing’s ever been black and white between her and Sonny, admitting that they have hurt each other.  Joslyn says that’s not a sign of a healthy relationship and Carly responds, it’s the one she’s got.  Jos realizes that her mother has decided to take Sonny back; Carly denies it, but says there is so much to their relationship that she could not understand.  She says she understands enough to know that she doesn’t want a relationship like that; she tells her mother that she deserves so much more.

Laura asks Sonny if he and Carly aren’t going through with the divorce; he simply says plans change.  She prods for more information; he tells her it’s not a “done deal” but recent developments have him thinking things are looking up for them.  Carly says there are many times that Sonny has been a blessing to her; Jos says she is talking herself into forgiving him again.  Carly tells Joslyn there is as much strength in forgiveness as in walking away; Jos says it’s not strength, it’s hopelessness, telling her to go ahead and get back together with him if she wants to, adding she doesn’t need her permission and is going to do what she wants anyway because she always does.

06-09-2017 (Friday) Questioning

Jordan shows up at Curtis’ and his Auntie Stella is not happy about it; she is even unhappier when he tells her they are “seeing each other.”  She brings up “everything” Jordan did to Curtis’ brother and says she destroyed their family and is responsible for Thomas’ death; Jordan says she is going to leave.  Curtis stops her; he tells his aunt he wants her to stop the hating.  He says it’s his birthday and he gets to choose who he wants there; Jordan says she doesn’t have to accept them and asks Curtis not to push this.  Stella chimes in that she is will never accept this; Curtis tells her, “then it’s time we get real.”  She gets real by telling Curtis she knows there was nothing ‘friendly or accidental’ about Thomas’ death, more or less accusing Jordan of setting the whole thing up; Curtis comes to Jordan’s defense.  Curtis tells his aunt that Shaun killed his brother in self-defense; she looks at him with surprise.  Jordan says may now isn’t the time; Stella thinks it is.  Curtis tells her to sit down and explains that after HE told Thomas about the affair (between Jordan and Shaun), Thomas went after Shaun with a shotgun; he says he put all of that in motion, so she should put her hate on him.  Stella shakes her head no; she says she could never hate him.  She is sad to learn that he has been blaming himself for his brother’s death all this time and asks why he didn’t just tell her; he says she was already upset about the marriage and so grief stricken.  She says she understands why he turned to drugs; he again takes responsibility for his own actions.  Stella puts the blame back on Jordan, saying if she hadn’t been unfaithful none of this would happen; Jordan says she’s right, accepting blame herself.

Hayden arrives at Finn’s, exhausted; she is questioning her ability to be a mother.  He tells her they are in this together and they will figure it out; she decides to call for room service.  She says they need to celebrate his getting back to work; he tells her there’s nothing to celebrate… his test still came back positive.  She questions how; he says they didn’t make sure enough that Brad didn’t get his hands on it, but Hayden suggests he may have an accomplice.  Maybe there is someone else out to get him?  He swears he hasn’t been using; she says she has no doubt about that.  He asks how he got so lucky and she says, “speaking of that.”  She tells him she is ready to resume sexual relations; they kiss.

Lucy is brought in for questioning; Dante asks her to explain how she got a hold of Morgan’s pill bottle and how Ava fits in to her story.  She tries to play stupid; Dante tells her he knows that Ava was involved and now he wants to know how Lucy is involved.  She tells Dante she saw Ava throwing the pill bottle away in a public trash can October 25th of last Fall; he asks why she took the bottle out of the trash, why she didn’t tell Sonny and Carly, and why she hung on to them.  She says she asked Ava about her suspicions that she had lured Morgan back into her bed; she thought maybe he had left his pills at her place.  She says Ava convinced her not to say anything because everyone had been hurt enough, saying she was torn but went along with Ava until Sonny and Ava confronted her at the Nurses’ Bal.  She is shocked to find out that there was no affair, and swears she knew nothing about the placebos in the bottle; she says that is horrible.  She asks why she would do that; Dante says because she didn’t want him dating Kiki.  He asks her how long they were in her possession and tells her that the pills had been switched again; they were a different dosage from his prescription.  She tells Dante she kept the bottle under lock and key, recollecting her trip to the motel room with Scotty where she put them in the room safe.  Scotty comes into the police station; Julian sees him and asks why he hasn’t returned his phone calls.  Scott tells him he isn’t his buddy and he has other clients.  Scott asks Julian what changed his mind about talking strategy; he says “Emily Scout, my granddaughter.”  Scotty mocks his new zest for life coming from one moment of holding his grandchild; he tells Julian he will have to listen to him.  He says he has the strategy of all strategies; the truth.  Julian gets a text and says he has to go; it’s Ava.  She might be dying, he says.  Dante sees Scotty and asks him to join he and Lucy in the interrogation room.

Ava is crashing quickly; her heart monitor stops.  They bring in the defibrillator; she has “been down…two minutes.”  Griffin calls “clear” – they shock her heart.  No response; Griffin says there is no DNR so they are going to take every measure possible.  Carly tells Kiki she is sorry she is going through this; Kiki doesn’t understand how she has any compassion for her.  Carly tells her that none of them blame her for her mother’s actions; Kiki says she blames herself.  She starts crying and says but she still doesn’t want her to die; Sonny stares through the window as they continue working on Ava.  Kiki watches helplessly, as Griffin tells Ava to fight for her daughter; he shocks her heart again and this time it responds.  Kiki hugs Dillon, crying, “it worked.”  Carly says she is happy for Kiki; Sonny says, “so am I,” smiling smugly.  Griffin tells Kiki this is normal for burn victims because the body trying to cool itself overtaxes the heart; he says they can’t know for sure that she is going to live but they are doing all they can.  Kiki thanks Griffin.

06-08-2017 (Thursday) Who Is This?

Sonny calls Carly to the hospital, t give her an update on Ava’s condition; he wants to make sure she still wants to prosecute her, but says that means they are going to have to see Nelle.  He reminds her that Nelle caught Ava in Morgan’s room the same night Lucy saw her ditching the pills; he says Nelle can establish that Ava used Avery as a cover to get into Morgan’s room to switch the pills.  He asks if Diane called her; they discuss the evidence they have against Ava and Lucy’s eyewitness testimony; Sonny is afraid they may need more than that to bring Ava to justice.  Carly fears Scotty will weasel out of testifying, claiming attorney-client privilege, but says they do have Andre’s testimony and Morgan’s condition and the pills.

Michael comes to the hospital to pick Nelle up; he tells her he is not “pitying” her, and asks what Bobbie said to her.  He says his aunt isn’t very shy about letting her opinions be known, and he knows she doesn’t like Nelle very much; he tells Nelle Bobbie doesn’t speak for him.  He says he is sympathetic for what she went through, but that is not the same as pity; he tells her he is there because he likes her.  She wonders how that could be true after everything she’s done; he says he sees the Nelle he got to know at the cabin that night and he wants to spend more time with her.  He says he wants her to stay in Port Charles he is going to do what he can to convince her to stay.  He tells her what they have  recently learned about Ava switching Morgan’s medication; she then asks how he is dealing with all of that.  He gets a little emotional talking about it; Nelle says karma has paid her back.  He tells her that isn’t justice; he says he doesn’t want Ava to suffer, he wants her to pay.  Ava’s heart begins to fail; her monitor alarms sound.  Griffin calls for a crash cart and starts chest compressions.  AvaDillon tells Kiki that she can’t blame herself for what her mother did to Morgan; he also tells her that he understands her not wanting to see Ava, but says he also gets that this is her mother, who is now in tremendous pain.  He reminds her that he is there for her and offers to walk her to work; she kisses him.

TJ goes to see his mom; Jordan tells him that she and Curtis are “not just dating” but are a couple now.  He says cool.  She questions his sincerity.  Curtis talks to his “Auntie Stella”; she is cutting down Jordan for “what she did” to Curtis’ brother.  She says, “that woman is a disgrace” and she doesn’t care to ever lay eyes on her again; she then asks what Curtis has to tell her about Jordan.  He tells her Jordan was a little cold when he first came to town and refused to let him see TJ; she continues to bad-mouth Jordan, saying she has probably turned her grandson against her.  She says she doesn’t regret what she said to Jordan all those years ago, but does regret having said it at Thomas; funeral, then calling Jordan a “fake tramp.”  She says Jordan tried to turn everything around and make her the bad guy; Curtis defends Jordan.  He tells her Jordan loves TJ and recognizes the value of family.  His mother scoffs, then apologizes; Jordan continues.  He says she wouldn’t want to ruin the connection TJ has with her, reminding her that boy loves her; they reminisce.  He tells her not to worry about Jordan and suggests she call TJ.  A knock comes on the door; it is Jordan.

Anna walks in to see Valentin, in the interrogation room; he tells her she must be proud of herself.  She says, not particularly; he mentions being the only one in handcuffs, then calling her “Alex.”  She smiles.  He asks if the WSB knows she is there; she claims to have escaped.  She begins ‘confessing’ to being instrumental in the theft of the Chimera and stealing her sister’s identity, impersonating a WSB again, etc., then tells him she can help him go free.  He questions her motives; she tells him they are the only witnesses against each other and Anna has no knowledge of anything.  She pleads with him not to confess in an attempt to redeem himself with Anna; she claims they have much more of a connection with each other than he eve had with Anna.  She tells him she risked her life for him and gave him the chance to out run that kill order and get away with the Chimera; she says the WSB doesn’t have a case and will have to drop the charges.  She tells him, after that, he should come find her, claiming it wasn’t Anna he wanted all this time, it was her; she smiles again and leaves.

06-07-2017 (Wednesday) The Surprise Visit

Valentin’s is formally charged with the Chimera crime; Nina visits him at the station and tells him she has had all she can take and asks Valentin to sign divorce papers.  She admits that she told police where to find him; he swears he was going to send for her to join him and Charlotte as soon as he could.  She doesn’t necessarily believe him; he reminisces about the first time she turned him in.  She says this time, he won’t get out of the charges and leaves.  Anna comes to visit him next (but  something isn’t right).  Nina meets her brother at Perk’s; she tells him she feels guilty about turning her husband in and doesn’t know if she can turn her back on him.

Olbrecht listens in as Hayden and Finn talk about getting their lives back on track, with him being able to return to work after his latest drug screen comes back clean.  Griffin looks for Finn; he needs his help on Ava’s case.  Olbrecht reminds Griffin that Finn is still not on staff there; Finn asks Olbrecht to set aside her hatred of him for a minute and let them help a patient.  Finn is surprised when another drug test comes back positive; (I wonder if Olbrecht may have something to do with it).  Elizabeth shows up to work, with Cameron; her house is being fumigated.  Hayden offers to watch him; Liz is hesitant, but agrees.  Spencer tells his grandmother that there’s no reason he can’t stay in Port Charles for good now that Valentin has been arrested; Laura says they need to see if the charges stick.

Lulu visits Valentin, along with Dante, as he sits in police custody; she wants to talk about Charlotte’s care.  He tells her that Charlotte should stay with Nina; Lulu tells him it was Nina who turned him in.  He agrees to talk to Charlotte about staying with them then, but says they have to back up whatever story he tells her; they agree and tell him thank you.  Lulu worries about the day Charlotte learns the truth about her father, and whether or not she might blame her.  Anna meets Mac in the park; he asks how she’s doing.  She tells him Valentin isn’t as evil as the WSB has made him out to be; she blames her sister, Alex, for most of what happened.  Mac asks her if she’ll be okay to testify, if called upon; she says sure but she has no actual proof against him…just what he told her.  She says the case rests with Alex.  Robert calls Anna to tell her that Alex has escaped from custody.

Laura brings Spencer to the hospital where he sees Hayden; he gives her a big hug; Laura tells Hayden and Elizabeth that Spencer “conned” his way out of school and made his own way home.  Spencer says hi to Cameron and brags about hanging out with Emma last week.  Laura is on her way to a board meeting; Hayden offers to take Spencer as well as Cameron.  She takes the boys to Perk’s where they get caffeinated, sugary drinks and end up fighting with each other; Hayden calls Laura for help.  Laura shows up, chews the boys out and makes them clean up their mess; she asks Hayden what happened.  Hayden breaks down crying; she tells Laura she is pregnant and doesn’t know what she is doing.  She questions what kind of a mother she will be if she can’t even handle two school-aged boys.  Laura assures her she can do it, and promises not to tell Elizabeth just yet.

There is a knock on Curtis’ door; it’s Jordan, with a cupcake.  She tells him happy birthday; the end up having sex.  Jordan leaves for work.  Curtis’ aunt shows up at his door, looking like she is there to stay a while; when he asks where she is staying, she says, “with you.”  She says she can’t wait to see TJ, but hopes she doesn’t run into TJ’s mother.  She begins talking crap about Jordan.

06-06-2017 (Tuesday) Game Over

Sonny tries to explain to Jason that he felt letting Ava live now, in her condition, is the Hell that she deserves.  He tells Jason Ava tried to turn everything on them, as if they had failed their son; he wonders if Ava isn’t the only one living in her own nightmare.  Jason tells him they will learn to live with it; Sonny says he just always wanted his family to be safe and secure, but he says sooner or later the past catches up to you.

Sam confesses to her mother that she is exhausted; she says taking care of Scout seems so much harder than Danny and she doesn’t know why.  All she does is eat and sleep, but Sam can’t seem to do either of those things, she explains; Alexis insists Sam go take some time for herself.  She goes for a massage.  Julian tries talking to Lucas, but Lucas wants nothing to do with him; he tells him he is going to check on Ava.  Julian says he didn’t know he was Ava’s doctor; he isn’t, he says.  Julian says that must mean you are checking on her as your aunt, so you still have compassion for your family; isn’t there any for your father, he asks.  Lucas tells him he will give him courtesy, as he does the families of any patient, but that’s eat; he leaves.  Julian finds Alexis sitting at Perks with Scout; Alexis introduces them and lets Julian hold their granddaughter.  Scout coos as her grandfather talks to her.  As Sam tries to relax with the masseuse rubbing her shoulders, she keeps hearing a whispering voice that says “your family is not safe.”  She sits up and tells the massage therapist she can’t do this; she apologizes and goes home.  She tells Jason she feels more tense now than when she went.  Julian tells Alexis he sill loves her; she tells him that sometimes love just isn’t enough.  She wishes him well with his legal troubles; he hands Scout back to her and says goodbye.  Alexis pushes the stroller away; Julian makes a call to Scotty.

Anna comes to tell Lulu that she thinks she knows where Valentin has taken Charlotte; Valentin asks Charlotte if she wants to play a game, but she says she can’t because someone is in big trouble… her.  She says she shouldn’t be skipping school; he admits that’s true, but promises she won’t get in any troubule.  He tells her this game they are going to be playing, is very important… he says they are taking new names: her new name is Jean Beir LaBlan and his new name is Gaspar LaBlan, he fills her in on more of their new back-stories.  There’s a knock on the door; the desk clerk tells him that there was a call – someone looking for a father and daughter, but says he didn’t tell them anything.  Valentin gives him some money for his continued discretion; he hollers at Charlotte to pack a bag, saying they have to go now.  She tells him he is supposed to use her new name; he tells her she wins the practice round.  The real game begins now.

Laura agrees to watch Rocco; she is surprised by a visit from Spencer.  Anna and Lulu and Dante get ready to go get Charlotte; before Valentin can get out the door, they are standing on the doorstep of his room.  Laura asks Spencer how he got there; he says there’s an app for everything.  He generated a note from his grandmother to the school, telling them he was urgently needed at home.  He plans to right Valentin’s wrong, vanquish him, avenge his father and reclaim Wyndemere; Laura forbids that.  Spencer reminds her that Valentin tried to kidnap him and he was only stopped by Sonny; Laura tells him she doesn’t want to live on the island anyway, and she says he needs to go back to France.  Charlotte asks who it is; Lulu runs in.  Charlotte says she didn’t know they were coming; Lulu says she wanted to surprise her.

Anna tells Valentin he knows what he needs to do; he turns and tells Charlotte the game is over, she wins.  He tells her that he has business to take care of and he needs her to go back with her “mother,” looking at Lulu; Lulu smiles.  Valentine asks his daughter if she feels at home with Lulu and Dante; Charlotte says she does.  He tells her that’s good and says he will come get her again, just as soon as he can; Lulu and Dante take Charlotte and leave.  Anna talks with Valentin; he tells her he isn’t going back and he pulls a gun on her.  She tries to grab it from him and it goes off; it shoots a mirror.  Anna takes the gun as Valentin stares at his shattered image; Anna tells Valentin that she really isn’t his enemy. Alex is the one who betrayed him, she reminds him; she says she always considered herself his friend.  He says yet she must arrest him now; he turns and puts his hands behind his back and she tells him what he is being charged with as she puts him in handcuffs.  She says he could be looking at a life sentence; she begins crying, wiping the tears away as she speaks.

06-05-2017 (Monday) Punishment... Life

Carly comes to see Jason and tells him that it was Ava who sabotaged Morgan; she tells him about the fire and the fact that she and Sonny have been cleared of everything.  Jason suggests they stay clear of Ava; Carly says she doesn’t know if that’s going to happen because Sonny wants Ava dead and she isn’t going to stop him this time.  Ava begs Sonny to kill her… she says she WANTS him to kill her.  She says she wants him to put her out of her misery; he says no.  He tells her death is too merciful for her; he now wishes her a long, painful life.  Griffin comes in and asks Sonny what he is doing; Sonny tells him he was just wishing her well and leaves.  Jason tells Carly he is always there fore her; Sonny shows up at Jason’s.  He tells Carly hi; Carly tells Jason that Sonny is the one who put all the pieces together.  He says he thought it would bring him peace, but he doesn’t feel it right now.  He tells Carly that he saw Ava and he has decided her best punishment is to live.  Carly is not happy about that.

Griffin tells Anna, if she wishes he could pray with her, even though it may be breaking several regulations, as a doctor; he takes her hand and begins to pray.Anna and Nathan talk to Nina; they tell her that Valentin took Charlotte.  Anna asks if she has any information; Nina swears she doesn’t know where Valentin is.  Laura comes to visit with Elizabeth; she is wondering how Jake is doing.  Liz asks if it makes her a bad mom that she didn’t check out that box more carefully, and left Jake alone with it; Laura tells Liz that she is wonderful mother and she had no way of knowing that it wasn’t from Spencer.  She reminds her that it was her love that saved him and Jake knows she is there for him no matter what.  She tells her she saved a lot of other people that night, too.  She tells Liz about Valentin being shot; Laura says one good act doesn’t make him worthy in her eyes.  Elizabeth tells Laura that people can surprise you; people who you think are past redemption can find the strength to change for the better.   Laura says maybe if he goes to prison for his involvement in the Chimera project, it will make things simpler.

Dante comes home; Lulu runs to him and tells him that Charlotte is gone.  Nina calls to check on Valentin at the hospital and learns that he has “checked out.”  Valentin and Charlotte walk in the door of a private cabin in Niagara Falls; Charlotte has always wanted to go there.  Lulu remembers that she got Charlotte a phone; she calls.  Charlotte says she is sorry for not saying goodbye and asks if Lulu is mad at her.  Lulu says of course not; she tells her she was worried.  Charlotte tells her she and her dad are finally going on their trip; Valentin stops Charlotte and asks who she is talking to.  He takes the phone from her and says the call is in violation of the visitation agreement; (his leaving with Charlotte isn’t?  Anna and Nathan arrive.  Nina reminds Anna that it was her sister’s idea to steal the Chimera; she asks if Anna really thinks Valentin should be arrested.  She reminds her of all the extenuating circumstances; she says he actually saved the day by getting the weapon back from those men in suits.  She asks Nathan if he doesn’t believe people can change; then asks Anna.  Anna’s phone rings; it’s Lulu; she tells Anna about her phone conversation with Charlotte.

Anna asks Nina if she knows where Charlotte has always wanted to go; Nathan tells her, if she knows, she better tell.  She tells them she’s always wanted to go to Niagara Falls; if he wants her to think they are on vacation, that’s where he would take her.  Laura comes back to see Lulu; Lulu tells her about Valentin taking Charlotte.   Valentin talks to the man who brings their passports, saying, Charlotte thinks they are going to visit her grandparents in Canada, but once they are across the border, they are going to disappear.

06-02-2017 (Friday) Kill Me

Alexis hugs Julian and tells him she is sorry for what he is going through; she doesn’t care about Ava, but she knows he does, she tells him.  He thanks her; she then tells him that she got her license back and he jokes about hiring her.  Griffin comes out and tells Julian that his sister is awake; he goes in to see her and tells her Kiki was there all night.  Sonny fills Kiki in on all the details; she is devastated to find out that her mother switched the pills to keep Morgan away from her.  Sonny brings Avery downstairs; she hugs her sister.  Sweet little Avery asks about Kiki’s white nail polish (I don’t think that was in the script – how sweet.)  Sonny tells Kiki not to take Ava’s guilt upon herself; Kiki says she can hear all of her mom’s excuses now – she recalls her mother telling her that what she did, she did for her own well-being.  Kiki begins crying; Sonny tells her not to buy into it… he says Ava did what she did and it’s on her.  Kiki tells Sonny to protect Avery from her mother and she leaves.  Kiki goes to see Carly and tells her that she everything now; she apologizes.  Carly tells her none of this is her fault; Kiki says she really did love him and Carly says she knows that.  Kiki cries, “it got him killed.”  Carly hugs her and tells her she is not responsible for what her mother did.

Anna picks up Emma and thanks Lulu for keeping her overnight; Lulu asks about Valentin.  Anna tells her his injuries aren’t life-threatening, but he may be facing time in prison; she suggests that Lulu move forward with her fight for custody before Charlotte ends up a ward of the state.  Valentin wakes up and tries to get out of bed; the nurse tries to stop him.  He tells her he wants to go; Anna comes to see him and finds him gone.  The nurse tells her the patient signed himself out against medical advice; Lulu is heading out the door, but when she opens it, she sees Valentin standing there.  Lulu tells him it’s not a good idea for him to take Charlotte right now, because he is about to be arrested.  She tells Valentin that he needs to give her “secondary custody” and get out of the country; Charlotte comes out and Lulu goes to help Rocco.  Charlotte asks her dad if he is ready to leave; when Lulu comes out, they are gone.  Charlotte’s school bag is still there; Lulu calls Anna.  She tells Anna she warned Valentin that he was going to be arrested; she says she’s sorry and knows it’s all her fault.

Carly sees Kristina at Perks; Kristina tells her that Michael filled her in on everything and she doesn’t think that Ava is suffering enough.  Carly tells her that she couldn’t agree more; Kristina leaves.  Carly meets with Andre and they talk about what Ava did; Andre says it is unconscionable.  He talks about what might have happened if he had lived, saying they would have been hurting him by giving him even more medication that he didn’t need.  He asks Carly if knowing the truth has given her closure; she says no.  She says she thought it would, but it’s the same hopeless grief as the day he died.  Sonny comes through the door and Andre excuses himself; Sonny tells Carly that Ava has not suffered enough for what she did to Morgan.  Carly says she hopes she pays for that, and for what she did to Connie, but there is just no way to be sure; Sonny says there might be a way. Nathan meets Amy at the café; he is upset that now he is supposedly lined up for a book deal as “Ask Man Landers.”  He asks Amy to tell him why he shouldn’t arrest her for identity theft; he tells her he is not going to, but warns her this better not come back to him again.  Amy promises it won’t; Kristina comes in to meet with Amy, and Nathan leaves.  Kristina asks Amy why she doesn’t want to take credit for her own work; she doesn’t answer, only saying that Nathan’s picture was getting a lot of traffic.

Julian shows up on Alexis’ doorstep after she goes back home; he brings her flowers.  She talks with him about his sister; he then asks if there is any hope for them, noting that she came to see him at the hospital and didn’t turn him away just now.  Alexis tells him she can’t give him an answer right and thanks him for the flowers; she goes inside.  He says to himself, “well, at least it wasn’t a no.”  Sonny goes to see Ava; he tells her she deserves what she is going through and nobody cares.  He tells her Kiki doesn’t want to ever see her again, and she will never see Avery again either; Ava reaches up and touches Sonny’s hand and says, pleadingly, “kill me.”

06-01-2017 (Thursday) The Truth Comes Out

Hayden is nauseas; she is a little cold to Finn, until he convinces her that he wants to go out of his way.  They discuss the baby.  Hayden says she didn’t even have dolls as child; he says he is an addict, but tells her they have to have faith in each other.   He tells her that the loan is about to close on the townhouse he bought; he asks Hayden to move inn with him.  He says there will be plenty of room for them and the baby.  He tells her he wants them to be a family.  They then compliment each other, Hayden reminding Finn that he risked his life for her, and gave up a fortune to save the hospital; she says he is going to be a good father and he tells her she will be an amazing mother…they kiss.

Dante tells Sonny that the fire marshal has determined that the fire was everything he said it was; Ava started it.  Sonny says, “I told you so… everything Ava is going through, she did to herself.”  Dante tries to get Sonny to show some sympathy for Ava, but he has none; he tells Dante not to judge him because Ava does not deserve his concern.  Dante asks what he is going to tell Avery about her mother; Sonny says he will tell her that she had an older brother she doesn’t remember because her mother took his life.  He says he’ll also tell her that her own stupidity caused her mother her own life; but most importantly, he says, he will tell her how much he loves her and hope that’s enough.

Nelle wakes up to see Michael conked out in the chair; she knocks a box off the nightstand to wake him up.  She acts like she’s just stretching, waking up; he smiles.  He tells her he is going to go find a doctor and come back; she tells him he doesn’t have to… he’s already done so much, she says.  She tells him he’s “off the hook.”  Michael asks if she doesn’t want him around; she explains that she thinks he is just being kind, like he is to everyone else.  He tells her that he cares about her, explaining how he found her and how worried he was; he says it scared the hell out of him.  She tells him she is grateful he found her; he says if caring about her, “liking her” is a hook, he doesn’t want to be off.  Nelle smiles; Bobbie watches through the window.  Bobby goes in and tells Michael that he needs to talk to his mother and father; she tells him they have news about Morgan; he leaves.  Bobbie goes in to talk to Nelle and tells her that she hopes she is still planning on leaving after she recovers.  She tells Nelle not to mistake kindness for love, saying Michael just pities her, nothing more.

Julian overhears Jordan at the police station, talking about Ava; he asks what happened to Ava.  Kiki is being given the grim details about Ava’s prognoses and possible treatments; Bobbie says right now they are just trying to get her stabilized.  Kiki can’t bring herself to face her knowing what she did to Morgan.  Bobbie tells her the decisions about Ava’s care are going to fall on her; Dillon promises to look after Kiki.  Julian shows up and is given the information about Ava’s condition; Kiki tells him he can go in to see her.  She tells Dillon she isn’t sure she can ever look at her mother again and leaves.

Sonny tells Michael about the pills; Michael asks his father if he wants Ava dead, and if he is going to do something to her if she lives, reminding him that they will all pay the price for it, if he does anything.  Michael tells his father he loves him and they hug. Alexis gets her law licensee back; Diane warns her to keep her distance from Julian.  Alelxis goes to see Julian at the hospital as soon as Diane leaves.  Kiki goes to see Sonny; she tells him she wants to know the truth about her mother.

05-31-2017 (Wednesday) The Burn Unit

Jordan and Curtis are in bed; Curtis is gasping and Jordan asks if he is having a stroke or what – they both laugh.  She apologizes for playing hard to get; he tells her she did more than play.  She says she just had to figure “this” out; he asks if “this” was as good for her as it was for him.  She says it was better than she expected; he tells her he isn’t done yet.  She gets a text; she has to go to work… a “classified event.”  Curtis tells her he hates letting her go; she promises to make it up to him.  As Curtis puts the tray outside the room door, some lady approaches him and asks him to go have a drink; he refuses and she asks him to wish her luck then, saying they may end up being neighbors.  Curtis shakes his head as she walks away.

Anna calls Nathan and tells him that the canister has been destroyed, under her supervision; she tells him, “it’s done.”  Anna tells Lulu and Laura that Valentin was shot; she tells them about Valentin’s sale of the Chimera to Helena.  They tell her the girls are both asleep; she asks if she can leave Emma there tonight.  Lulu asks what she should tell Charlotte about her father; Anna says she will text them later and suggest they just tell Charlotte her father was very brave.  She meets with Nathan and explains how the Chimera ended up in Helena’s hands; she tells him, in the end, Valentin gave it to her to destroy.  Anna says it has been annihilated and will never hurt anyone.  She meets with Jordan and tells her the same thing.

Nina is by Valentin’s bedside when he wakes up in the hospital; she thanks him for saving her life.  He tells her to remember, no matter what, that he loves her; she asks what that means.  He doesn’t answer; she goes to check on Charlotte.  Lulu invites her in and asks about Valentin; Nina tells her he was a hero.  Laura tells Nina that everything that happened was set in motion by Valentin; Lulu tells Nina that Emma and Charlotte were standing right next to Jake and would have been the first to be exposed.  Nina reflects back on the times Valentin tried to tell her of all the bad things he has done in the past; she realizes they are right, it was him.  She apologizes and says she will let them know Valentin’s prognosis; she runs out the door, looking horrified.  Anna steps into Valentin’s room; she tells him that she personally supervised the destruction of the Chimera.  She also tells him that Alex has been taken into custody and she is going to tell them of his involvement; she says he will probably be arrested too and shipped off somewhere for the rest of his life.  She reaches out and takes his hand; she squeezes it, gently, but cannot bring herself to look at him.

Carly and Sonny tell Dante about Ava switching Morgan’s pills; he asks them to recount the events of the night.  Sonny explains; he tells Dante the fire started when Ava threw a lamp at Carly.  Carly tells Dante Dante can’t believe that Ava did all of this to keep Morgan from dating her daughter; Sonny swears he wouldn’t kill Ava in a way that could be traced back to him.  He says they were just going to confront her about what she did; Carly says she called her out, called her a bully and dared her to come after her and that’s when she threw the lamp; Carly says she’s actually really a coward.Dillon brings Kiki a thermos of coffee; she tells him staff is being pulled to the burn unit.  She says a victim was just brought in, badly burned; she has to cover an extra shift tonight.  Epiphany comes and tells Kiki that the burn patient they brought in is her mother; she says she had second and third degree burns over 50% of her body.  Kiki wonders how this happened; Dante shows up to explain.  He tells Kiki that her mother was involved in Morgan’s death.  He tells her about the pill switch; Kiki falls apart, immediately crying, “oh my god, no.”

Carly and Sonny talk about how much Ava put their son through; Sonny says they shouldn’t care that she is now going through Hell.  Carly asks what they do if she lives; Sonny says they hope he gets charged and tried for what they did.  He says between Lucy Coe and what Scotty Baldwin knows, they should be able to put her away.  He starts crying and tells Carly they have no more questions; they finally know why Morgan died.  Carly says she thought it would lessen the grief.  She tells Sonny she needs to go get Joslyn; they tell each other to take care and she leaves.

5-30-2017 (Tuesday) Ava Gets Burned

Nathan tells Amy “this is false advertising”… she says, “details, details.”  She gets him to listen to what sort of things he is advising people on; she tells him all sorts of things.  He asks how much she gets paid; she says nothing, until money starts rolling in.  He tells her to kill the blog.  They playfully argue a while, then Nathan offers her a ride to the hospital. She continues to try to talk him into letting her use him as her cover.

Sonny picks Carly up; Ava pulls out a gun and tells them they aren’t going anywhere.  Dante is on the phone, calling Sonny; he knows he’s going after Ava and assumes it has to do with the pills.  He leaves a message, asking his dad not to do anything rash; Ava tells Sonny and Carly they are to blame, saying they should have helped Morgan and put him back in the institution.  Carly can’t believe Ava is doing this now, with the fire raging.  Sonny calls Ava a psychotic bitch; Carly says she is deranged.  They turn and go through a gate toward the front of the warehouse (which is apparently owned by Ava); Ava tells them she hopes they get out safely, and turns to find the door on her side of the fire blocked.  She yells for help; Carly and Sonny get lost on their way to the front.  They hear Ava calling for help, but decide that they can’t help her; they make their way outside and call 911.  Dante drills them when he gets there; he tells them he hopes their hands are clean on this because if something has happened to Ava, there are going to be a lot of questions.

Jason tells Jake the show needs to end; it’s time to pack things up and go home.  Helena claps when Jake lifts up the container and turns the lights on; Anna steps next to Valentin and asks if that’s the canister.  He says yes and says they need to get everyone out of there; Jake yells “no” and says everyone has to stay.  Jason says it looks heavy and asks Jake to let him hold it; Jake looks over at Helena again… Jason asks him what he’s looking at.  Lulu, Nina and Laura usher Emma and Charlotte out; Jake tells his dad he can’t give him the canister “because she doesn’t want me to.”  Jason asks who; Jake says, “Helena.”  Elizabeth kneels down and asks Jake if Helena is there now; he shakes his head yes… she tells him to listen to her; he turns his head again, as Helena tells Jake not to weaken.  Liz gets his attention again and tells him “she doesn’t have the power, you do.”  Jason tells Jake he is the one in control; Liz urges him to give the container to Jason.  Helena speaks up again, telling him he will do nothing of the kind; she tells him to do what he was born to do.  Elizabeth tells him that she understands that Helena thinks she has won, because she thinks her hold on him is stronger than their love; but she says, she knows better.  Jake looks down at the canister; Lulu and Laura take the girls home.  Nina decides to wait for Valentin; Helena stands up and tells Jake that this is his destiny; she tells him to “release the Chimera.”  Elizabeth keeps reminding him of how much they all love him, adding that they know he loves them too; she tells him love is always stronger than hate.  Jake shakes his head yes; Helena tells him not to listen to them.  Liz tells Jake he always has them, and they will never stop fighting for him; he turns the Chimera off and hands it over.  Helena disappears.

Laura and Lulu, now at home, wonder what Helena has to do with this; Laura assures Lulu they are going to be alright.  Elizabeth tells Jake she is proud of him; she tells him he is very strong.  Jason tells him that was one heck of a magic show; Jake apologizes.  They each hug him and tell him he has nothing to be sorry for; Nina comes back in and asks what that was all about… he explains about the Chimera and tells her that’s what Anna’s (or her sister’s) pursuit of him was all about.  Jason thanks Liz for her help with him; she says she wants to take Jake to the hospital “to get checked out.”  They tell him Helena is gone and she is not coming back.  Jason says he’s going to look around, just to make sure there aren’t any more surprises; Anna says they need to seal off the area until they get the Chimera removed.  Nina goes to call for security.  Valentin swears to Anna that he had nothing to do with that; she tells him to just leave while she calls the WSB.  As Nina is on the phone reporting an incident, a man puts a gun to her side; he tells her, “your call just dropped.”   Another man joins him and they force her back inside the ballroom; Jason greets them.  They ask for the box; he tells him he doesn’t have it.

Anna pursues Valentin, as he walks away with the box; she tells him that weapon needs to be destroyed.  He says that’s what he is going to do; she says they need to turn it over to the WSB, but he says they can’t trust the bureau.  They have failed him over and over again, he says; he wants to take care of this himself… Anna asks him to trust her.  Nina calls; she tells him there are men holding a gun on her and they want the Chimera.  He tells Anna; she tells him that he knows what he has to do.  He goes back in, with the case and hands it over; the men open it and see that the canister isn’t in it.  Valentin tells Nina to run and turns to punch the man behind him; Jason knocks  gun out of the other man’s hand with his elbow and then punches him.  A gunshot is fired; Nina rushes in to see Valentin on the floor, bleeding.  Anna meets a man out in the hall, sent by Robert; she insists on going with him to have the Chimera neutralized.

5-26-2017 (Friday) Fire in the Hall

Amy thanks Nathan for stepping in for her at the Nurses’ Ball; he says he didn’t really do anything, complimenting her voice.  She tells him he has done more than he knows.  He says it was no big deal; she says thanks anyway.  Amy asks about Maxie; he starts making excuses for her… Amy laughs and asks if he can stay for another cup of coffee.  They sit down at a table; he tells her what makes Maxie being gone even harder, because she is there, with the father of her baby.  Amy tells him he needs to do something about that, if he wants to be with her; he says, of course he does or he wouldn’t have married her, and she says then he should fight for her.  He asks about her love life and she tells him, “there is this guy” – she says she has liked him since high school, asking if that makes her pathetic; Nathan laughs and says no, it makes her “committed.”  He asks how the reunion is coming along but the conversation quickly turns back to Maxie; Amy compares her to a storybook character “Daisy” from the Great Gatsby.   Daisy loves attention, is selfish and breaks Gatsby’s heart.  Amy excuses herself to the restroom and two strangers mistake Nathan for a man called “Man Landers.”  He googles it, and asks Amy when she returns, when he became this person; his picture is the face of the website.  Amy admits that she did it; it’s her advice column.  He realizes this is what she meant, that he had done more than he knew; he asks why she used his picture.

Lulu glares at Valentin and Nina as they revel in ‘being together’ again; she thought they would have a much better chance at getting custody if Charlotte’s only other option was a broken home.  Her mother tells her not to ruin the night and suggests they go say goodbye to Lucy.  Emma comes out and tells Charlotte to come with her; she says she has to show her something.  Anna comes around the corner; Andre asks her not to do anything rash and she says she may not have a choice.  She explains the mitigating circumstances with regard to Valentin and the Chimera, and says she understands why he did what he did.  She tries to convince herself that he truly believed Helena would never use the Chimera, except as leverage.  She is concerned about finding it.  Jake pleads with his mother to let him still do the magic show, even though the Ball is over; Lucy overhears and offers to let him perform, although she says she can’t stay because she has a date.  Jason says it’s time to go; Elizabeth tells him that Jake wants to do his magic act now.  They decide that it can’t hurt anything  to let Jake do his act.  Anna and Andre discuss the meaning behind the Chimera, a lion, goat and serpent creature; Anna says the contagion, as she understands is a hybrid – a mixture of different toxins – and if it were released it would be disastrous.  Valentin and Nina decide to stay to watch Charlotte assist Jake with his magic show; Lulu tells her mom the show is back on.  Laura questions where Jake got this magic kit and Lulu says from Spencer; Laura says, “no, that didn’t happen.”  The girls announce Jake; Charlotte sneezes and Jake pulls rows of handkerchiefs out of his pocket.  Elizabeth is nervous something is going to happen; the girls bring the case over to the table.  Jake taps it with his want; he sees Helena sitting at a table… she tells him to “let the grand finale begin.”  Liz sees that Jake is hesitant and tells him he doesn’t have to do this, but he looks at Helena again who tells him he knows what he has to do.  He says he wants to go on; Andre gets a call and has to go.  Laura has a bad feeling, knowing Spencer did not send Jake that magic set; Jason recalls being told by Helena that as good as he is, “Jake will be.”  Jake gets ready to announce “the greatest trick of all” … again Jason recalls Helena speaking, “Jake will be the greatest killer of them all.”  He stands up and tells Jake to stop.   Jake looks over at Helena again, who looks at him sternly; he picks up the Chimera container and pushes the button.  The blue lights flash; Anna gasps, “oh my god.”

Carly and Sonny tell Ava that they know what she did to their son; Ava looks extremely nervous.  She tries to deny everything and Carly immediately tells her not to lie to them; she says they know Morgan is dead because of her.  Ava says she had nothing to do with the bomb; Sonny tells her to this isn’t about the bomb.  They tell her they know she replaced his medication with placebos; she tries to walk away, but Sonny stops her.  Ava tries to turn the tables on Morgan, bringing up everything he did to Kiki, including the fact that he got her shot; she says she knew Kiki would be happier without him… and, she adds, that Morgan would have been happier too, if he could have just moved on.  She says she was protecting her daughter; Carly brings up her shooting Connie and everything else she has done, and tells Ava to admit it; Ava breaks down and confesses that she did it.  Carly recounts the last days of Morgan’s life… and things he wrote in his journal, including “I hate myself” and “my parents are going to be so disappointed in me.”  Carly tells Ava Morgan didn’t do anything wrong; she steps closer.  She tells Ava she never thought she could hate someone so much; Sonny is standing closely on her other side.  Ava says she thought he would just get sent back to the clinic for a while; Carly tells her there was no safe ending to what she set in motion and calls her a horrible, evil person.  She asks how she could do this to Morgan; Ava says they can’t make her feel worse than she already does, claiming she was devastated when he died.  She says the guilt has been overwhelming; she cries and says he wasn’t supposed to die.  Carly says, “but he did, and you have to live with that.”  They tell Ava that they are going to tell both of her daughters that she killed Morgan; she realizes that is her punishment.  Carly tells Ava to pick on someone her own size and comes at her; Ava grabs an oil lantern and throws it on the ground, starting a fire.  She pushes Carly down, knocking her out.

5-25-2017 (Thursday) The End?

Carly doesn’t understand; Sonny explains.  Morgan was taking his medication, or so he thought; he just wasn’t getting any Lithium.  Sonny tells Carly that Lucy was at the Floating Rib, with Ava, the night of the robbery; they corner Lucy.  She nervously tells them that Ava ended up with Morgan’s pills, claiming Ava was sleeping with Morgan again just before he died.  As the Nurses’ Ball continues, Jason talks to Griffin; Griffin tells Jason the necklace belonged to Anna.  Jason wonders what it means.

Kiki texts Dillon; she is working.  She says she wishes she could be there; he says he does too.  Olivia is nervous about performing; Ned tells her she is going to be great.  Curtis tells Jordan he got a room reservation for them toninght; Jordan is pissed off about it.  She thinks he’s moving too fast; he says they’ve been playing this game for a year.  He gives her the key card and tells her, no pressure.  Just as he is about to give up on her, Curtis opens the door and sees Jordan, ready to knock.  Kiki shows up, unexpectedly, for a performance with Dillon, “Get Me to the Church On Time.”  Or maybe it’s called “Modern Love?”  The routine ends with a kiss.  She tells Dillon she got someone to cover for her, for an hour, so they could perform together.  He offers to go back to the hospital with her.

Valentin tells Anna why he sold the Chimera to Helena; he said it gave him some kind of perverse satisfaction to know Helena would be paying for his transformation.  Jason questions Anna about the Chimera necklace he found; she tells him it is hers and explains how she got it.  The girls start to open the Chimera container; Jake runs in yelling, “stop.”  He asks them what they are doing;   As Jake packs up his magic kit, Helena appears; he tells her his mom says he doesn’t have to do his trick.  Helena tells him he does; she says he has to make all of Port Charles “disappear.”Scotty warns Ava that Sonny and Carly know about the pills; he tells her she should get out of town, fast.  Sonny and Carly look for Ava.  Lucy announces her, to present her donation, but Ava doesn’t come out on stage.  Sonny runs backstage and finds Scott; he grabs him and asks where Ava is.  Kiki and Dillon catch Ava leaving and ask where she’s going; she says she has business at the gallery.  Ava tells Kiki she is proud of her and relieved she is happy; Kiki says she is talking like she’s never going to see her again.  They hug; Ava hangs on a while, then goes to pack a bag.  Scott finds Dante and tells him his father attacked him; they go to talk.

Lucy comes out to announce the end of the Nurses’ Ball; she thanks their sponsor, Burt’s Bees.  She welcomes all the nurses back to the stage, with a “special guest.”  Apiphany sings, “Hallelujah” and turns to the screen to see a message from Robyn.  She is talking about being pregnant with her second child, having at one time thought she would not even be alive today.  She says she is living proof HIV/AIDS is a fight that we can win.  The song finishes after Robyn’s message.  As Nancy sings her portion of the song, Ava finishes packing her bag; she turns to leave, as Carly and Sonny enter the room.  Jake comes out into the ballroom and tells his mom he is ready to do his magic trick; he has his case in his hands.  The music ends.

5-24-2017 (Wednsday) Surprise!

Ava tries to leave, but Sonny stops her; he tells her the party hass just begun.  Sam wishes Kristina luck with her performance; Lucy ushers her out.  Charlotte asks about the Chimera container; Jake says it’s powerful magic… it comes at the very end, he says.  Emma does a cute rendition of “I just Want to See You be Brave” with Amy, Kristina and Valerie.Nelle starts to wake up; she calls out for Michael.  Sonny tells Michael that he is pissed Ava is trying to make herself look good, using Morgan’s name.  Jason shows Sam the necklace he found on the floor; they think Jake may have brought it.

Anna calls Robert and asks what the Chimera actually does; she asks what the hell the Bureau was thinking making it in the first place.  Andre sees Anna and is obviously pissed at her; Anna tries to explain to him that her sister, Alex has been posing as her for the last two months.   Anna apologizes if her sister offended him.  As Lucy changes for another act, Valentin comes in and tells her he wants to “up” his donation to seven figures; Lucy asks, “in exchange for what?”  An announcement comes over the speakers that Leisel Olbrecht can not perform, but someone is taking her place; Valentin steps out on stage and plays the piano, and sings a song to Nina.  Valentin tells Anna that he sold the Chimera to Helena Cassidine.

Andre tells Sonny the crushed material in the bottom of the pill bottle was an “inert substance.”  When Sonny asks what that means, Andre tells him it could have been a placebo.  Sonny knows someone set him up by tampering with his medication; he says he is going to find out who it is.  He walks into the ballroom and stares right at Ava, who is sitting with Scotty.  Scotty tells her there is no way Sonny is ever going to find out.  Joslyn calls Michael and tells him she is nervous about her performance; he tells her to keep her phone on.  Her voice crackles a little bit, but she sings a beautiful son, “It’s Not Over Yet.”  Nelle hears her signing and wakes up to see Michael sitting next to her; he says, “surprise.”

Sonny tells Carly he finally has answers about Morgan.Jake tells his mom he isn’t feeling good and they decide to cancel his magic show; Jake realizes he left his magic box backstage.  The girls get upset that he isn’t going to do the show and decide to do it themselves; they open the box to practice the tricks.  They pick up the Chimera container; Charlotte finds a button and pushes it… blue lights come on around the bottom of the container.

05-23-2017 (Tuesday) The Ball Begins!

Carly tells Bobbie that she caught Sonny and her ex-lawyer in bed together; Bobbie is stunned that is the prior association.  Bobbie tells Carly there is still life to be lived and adventures to be had, and people to be loved; they hug.  Joslyn comes in and says she wants in on the hug; they head to the ballroom.  As the Nurses’ Ball begins, Valentin begs Nina for another chance; he asks her what he can do to make it right.  After assuring her that Anna will never come between them again, he turns to see Anna enter the ballroom.  Nina is the spokeswoman for Crimson, doing the red carpet introductions with  Lopez.  Lucy is a mess, as usual, trying to get ready for her presentation at the Ball.  Lulu and Dante come in shortly after Charlotte walks in with her father.  (Lulu is getting huge and is wearing a poof-y gown to try to cover it up.)

Michael talks to his father; he is upset that Sonny has decided not to go to the Ball.  He asks if he and his mother really can’t even be in the same ballroom together; Sonny says it wouldn’t be good for anyone.  Sonny decides to spend his time looking through Morgan’s medical records; he notices something and makes a phone call.  Andre shows up; he tells Michael that the pharmacy swears they dispensed 600 ml pills to Morgan, so they don’t understand where the 300 ml’s came from… but, he says, even that low dose wouldn’t have caused Morgan to spiral out of control like he did.  Andre says he had to have been taking no Lithium at all.  Sonny notices something crushed on the bottom of the bottle; Andre takes the sample and goes to have it tested.  Sonny sits down and turns the Ball on television; he sees Ava enter, bragging about her donation in Morgan’s honor.

Franco and Elizabeth, Jake, Sam and Jason, all show up together; Sam asks Jason what is wrong because she notices he is deep in thought.  He says he just can’t shake the feeling that something is wrong; Jake is prepared for his magic act.  He says he has been dreaming about Helena; he wonders, if everything is okay, why she is there.  Felix shows up with Aphiphany, and right behind them is Nurse Amy.  Mario asks her if she is there alone; Nathan runs up and takes her arm, telling Mario she is there with him.  Mario asks where his beautiful wife is and he says she is working, but there in spirit.Michael greets his mother at the Nurses’ Ball; he asks Bobbie if she saw Nelle today.  She says she did; Joslyn is surprised to hear that Nelle is in the hospital and asks what happened.   Bobbie tells her about the mugging.  They go into the ballroom and are greeted by Mario and Nina; Carly slyly avoids them, giving one short comment.  They get their picture taken.

Curtis and Jordan arrive; he tells the camera that there is going to be a surprise.  “George” asks what kind of surprise; Curtis says they will have to wait and see.  Lucy tells Ava that she hopes Sonny “skewers” her, but she’s happy it won’t be tonight.Lucy announces the start of the Ball; she says it was 24 years ago that they had the first Nurses’ Ball.  The nurses of GH put on a previously recorded song and dance routine, taped in the hospital.  Nurse Amy has a beautiful voice, singing, “You’re Not Alone Anymore.”  All of the sudden, all of the nurses, dressed in their scrubs, burst through the doors of the ballroom and end up dancing on stage.  Nina asks her brother how she can ever forgive Valentin; Valentin turns around to see Nina standing behind them.  Jason goes to the bar to get a drink for he and Sam; Jake shows his magic kit – and the “surprise” to Charlotte and Emma.  Anna catches Valentin and asks him once again to be honest with her about who he sold the Chimera project to; he is angry that her sister had tricked him.  Jason finds Anna’s Chimera necklace on the floor and picks it up.  Carly admits that she misses Sonny; Sonny steps in the door.
