07-28-2017 (Friday) The Distillery

Julian finds Scotty at The Floating Rib; Scotty says a guy has gotta eat.  Julian tells him to eat on his own time; he says his is running out.  Scotty tells him he has an idea, and some information from the prosecutions witness list; Alexis is their main witness.  Julian says that’s not good news because they filed to use her as a hostile witness; Scotty thinks she will mitigate all the damages from him, by admitting that his sister was blackmailing him.  He receives a text and says he has to go.

Oscar comes to see Joslyn; she hugs him and tells him thank you for basically breaking the case.  He says Spencer would have escaped even if he hadn’t found the post-its.  Oscar asks Jos if she wants to celebrate; she says that sounds really nice.  He asks her to go somewhere with him, and despite the fact that she is grounded, Jos agrees, telling him she just needs to be back in an hour.  He takes her to the area where Sonny happens to be; he tells her its an old distillery.  She asks why all the signs; he says they are getting ready to demolish some of the old buildings, all except the one with historical value.  He tells Jos that he’s heard the “cask room still exists” (they place where they store the barrels) and they decide to try to go find it.  Just as they get close to where Sonny is, Jos thinks she hears some kids laughing; they go back to check their bikes and come back laughing about how much geese can sound like kids laughing.  Sonny tightens his shirt-tourniquet and groans; they don’t hear him.  Jos says she needs to get back home, and they race back to their bikes.

Alexis brings Scout to the hospital; Kristina asks if she’s okay… they say that’s what they want to find out.  A quick check looks good, but the doctor wants to run some tests to make certain.  Kristina goes will Scout for the testing.  Griffin and Finn ask Alexis if Scout has been acting strangely; any seizures, fussiness, etc.  Alexis says no, and asks to see Sam.  They sit her down to talk to her first; they tell her that the infection has affected Sam’s neurological functioning.  They let her know the baby is at risk too; Alexis is concerned.  Sam sees Sonny, and tells Jason to look at him; she says, “he’s right there.”  Jason asks who it is she thinks she sees.  Sonny talks to himself, then Michael (in his mind), asking him for some of his strength, saying he’s gonna need it; he tells him he would have had him take over the business for him, but he’s better than that.  He then starts to talk to Morgan, saying he suffered from the same darkness as himself; he tells him he is so sorry, and says he is proud of him.  He talks to Avery next, telling her how bad he wants to be her dad; he begs God to please let him be there for her.

The nurse asks Finn what’s next; he tells her to prepare hot and cold water for the “ear test.”  He tells Alexis that he believes the Toxoplasmosis has now caused Encephalitis.  Griffin runs the water test and determines that Sam has slipped into a coma; Julian gets a text from Alexis about Sam.  Kristina is pissed off when she sees Julian at the hospital; she tells him to stay away from her family.  She tells at her mom, when Alexis admits that she asked him come.  Kristina offers to take Scout back home, who has been examined and is said to be fine; they determine that Sam must have contracted the virus the night she was in labor, laying on the embankment.  Kristina tells Jason she’ll stay in touch and asks him to do the same, and scoffs at her mother as she leaves.  Alexis tells Julian her daughter is right; she says Sam would probably not want him there and it’s time she respected that.  She tells him he needs to go and he leaves.

Elizabeth asks Carly if she knows this man; Garvey tells her they go way back.  Carly tells him to let Liz go, then notices that Garvey has been shot; she asks if Sonny did that.  He says, “you should see the other guy.”  Carly demands to know what he means by that, and asks what he did to Sonny.   He tells her nevermind, and insists that she go get the supplies they need and bring them back instead, while he waits there with Elizabeth.  She agrees and starts to walk away; Garvey goes into a coughing fit.  Carly screams, “look out Elizabeth” and grabs Garvey around the neck, taking him to the ground.  Carly tells Liz to go get help, as she climbs on top of Garvey, putting her knee right on top of his wound.  He groans in pain and she asks him if he wants her to stop; she tells him to tell her what he did to Sonny.  He tells her, “I killed him.”  Sonny manages to get up on top of some barrels and cries out for someone to hear him and come help.

07-27-2017 (Thursday) So Long, Sonny?

Curtis walks his Aunt Stella down the hall; they are waiting for her discharge papers.  He tells her that he and Jordan broke up, but doesn’t tell her it was mostly because of her.  He almost makes it sound like it was his idea; Stella says she isn’t going to pretend she isn’t happy about it, and starts bad-mouthing Jordan.  Curtis tells her he still won’t put up with that, noting that he still cares very much for Jordan.  Hayden comes up and hugs him; Stella is excited for a minute to think he has another girl.  He introduces Hayden, as his very good friend; she lets Stella know that she is not only taken, but also pregnant with another man’s child.  Liz comes to get Stella for some final tests.  Curtis talks to Hayden about her relationship with Finn; he asks if they plan to get married.  She tells him about being married before… besides she says, she could never measure up to the “golden standard” of Finn’s former wife.  She asks about he and Jordan; he tells her they called it quits again.  She can’t believe it; he says he needs to get back to his Auntie, but tells her to “keep swinging” and calls her Slugger.  Jordan stops by Stella’s room and drops off her key to his apartment; she asks Stella to get it to him.  Stella is rather cold again, telling Jordan that whatever Curtis did, he did for family; Jordan looks shocked and tells Stella that she and Curtis decided, together, to call things quits for more than one reason.  When Curtis goes back to get Stella, he grabs her bag off the bed, and sees his keys; he knows Jordan was there.  He shakes his head.

Michael comes by to see his father; Carly tells him, Sonny is still out looking for Spencer.  She hasn’t been able to reach him to tell him Spencer has been found; she starts to get worried when Michael tells her that Sonny missed a meeting today.  Sonny tries once more to climb up, but realizes he is too weak; he sits down to rest “for a moment.”  Someone appears on top of the scaffolding; it’s Garvey.  He laughs and asks Sonny how he ended up down there; he guesses “the brunette” did it.  Sonny tells him to take his best shot, but Garvey can’t, Sonny assumes; he’s lost his gun.  Dante comes by to tell Sonny he’s gotten news that Garvey was being transported and paid off the guards to let him go; “he’s off the grid.”  Carly worries he has already gotten to Sonny.  Sonny asks Garvey if he wants to make a deal; Garvey tells Sonny to go to hell.  He places two palettes over the opening, inn hopes no one will find Sonny before he dies.  He leaves, as Sonny calls out to him.

Finn and Griffin are consulting on Sam’s case; Griffin has a suspicion.  They run the tests.  Sam has Toxoplasmosis – a parasitic infection of the brain; Jason asks how much trouble she’s in and Finn hesitates to answer.  All they can tell him is that she is stabilized for now, and they are going to begin to treat the infection.  Jason asks what else is wrong; they said, if Sam had this while she was pregnant, their daughter may be infected as well.  They said, if that is the case, her symptoms could be permanent; seizures, blindness, and cognitive disabilities.  Finn suggests Jason call someone.  Carly tells Dante that she has been trying to call Jason all day too; he hasn’t been answering either.  She tries again and reaches Jason; he tells her he was just about to call her.  He tells her Sam is very sick and Scout may be also.  She tells him she’s on her way; she tells Dante she is going to the hospital; Michael says he doesn’t think that’s a good idea.  He’s afraid Garvey may be out there.  Dante says he will send someone to watch her; she leaves.

Jason waits with Sam; he tells her he is there for her… they are in this together.  He says he doesn’t know how he would do this without her and she needs to get better; she opens her eyes.  She is panicked; Jason calls for the doctor.*Elizabeth escorts Curtis and Stella down to their car; she says she needs to get a sweater out of her car anyway, commenting on how cold it is in there.  She gets her sweater and hears a noise on her way back into the hospital; Garvey jumps out from behind a pillar and grabs her.  He tells her he needs medical supplies and someone to treat him; she says she will treat him herself, begging him not to hurt her and letting him know she has three small children.  He tells her she better go get the supplies and come right back to treat him, or her children are dead; Carly comes around the corner and sees Garvey holding Elizabeth.

07-26-2017 (Wednesday) Sonny Lays Bleeding

Spencer says he can’t say that it wasn’t Valentin; he says it was him.  He hugs Laura…. Spencer gives a dramatic recounting of his kidnapping; Dante says, by his own account, he didn’t see the kidnapper – he says he saw his shoes, he says they are “Belmondo shoes”.and would recognize them anywhere.  $3,000.00 shoes, he tells them, and Valentin was arrogant enough to wear them on the grass~!  Dante takes him into the interrogation room to talk to him.  Laura then talks to Spencer; he confesses that he really doesn’t KNOW anything for sure.  Dante tells Valentin he is free to go, but he doesn’t leave yet.  Valentin asks Nina if she believes him; says she knows his heart better than anybody.  He tells her he has always wanted to be a better man for him; she says that’s why she posted his bail, then remembers she needs to get her money back – and tells him she has to get back to work.  Spencer comes back and still mouths off to Valentin; Dante tells Valentin to leave.  Spencer says he has one last thing to say, he tells Valentin to “prepare to die.”  (Wow.  That’s a threat.)

Hayden shows up at Elizabeth’s, obviously nervous… she tells Liz thanks for letting her come over and sits down a bunch of baby books, she says she is “doing everything wrong.” and asks Liz what she did, “to be such a good mom.”   She tells Hayden you just somehow know what to do, and says she’ll be great at it.  Hayden tells Liz about her ex-husband, and says she has a lot to regret.  Liz mentions them being sisters; says even if they weren’t thrilled about that revelation when they found out, they have moved past that.  She tells her she wants to throw her a baby shower, saying, “what are sisters for?”  Hayden hugs her.

Sam passes out at the top of the stairs, as she is telling Jason, “it’s okay – it’s finally over.”  Jason grabs her and carries her to the couch.  Sonny is still out cold , in the hole at the construction site.  Sam wakes up…says the same thing again, passes out again; Jason takes her to the hospital.  Sonny wakes up, leg still bleeding; he calls out for Sam, not knowing she’s gone now.  Jason runs into the hospital, carrying Sam in his arms; Sonny ties off his leg with his shirt and tries to climb up some crates… he falls.  Sam looks next to her and sees Sonny, asking if she is happy now, saying, “you killed me.”  He tells her that doesn’t mean it’s over; he says she will never get rid of him…he says, “this will never be over.”  She screams and sits up, pulling the oxygen mask off of her face.  She wants to go home; Jason tells her she’s okay and he’ll make sure she’s safe.  She shakes her head, no, and says she “already did.”  She keeps saying this over and over, she did it and he’s safe; then it appears she is going to actually tell him what she did to Sonny, and she starts seizing.  He screams for somebody to get in there.

Finn takes Griffin to get ribs from the Floating Rib; they talk about being both colleagues and friends. Finn, back at the hospital, is told by Obrecht that this is “not nearly over.”  Obrecht gets a hold of Hayden’s ex, and arranges a meeting.  She tells the ex, she suspects that he went to prison for his wife; he asks what she wants.  She says she wants to help him.  She tells him what a great career she once had, about Finn coming to the hospital, hell bent on destruction, and while she was saving the hospital from him, Hayden saved him instead, then together they left her career for dead.  He asks what she expects from him; she says he is entitled to more than he has received from “Rachael” but tells him he can walk out the door… he stays.  She tells him some of her plans to get revenge on the two of them; he says, or they could just move on, like grownups.  She goes on about them not having the right to just go on with their lives with non remorse; she says they could work together to require not only recompense, but retribution.  He listens.

07-25-2017 (Tuesday) What's Wrong With Sam?

Jason tells Carly that Valentin didn’t take Spencer; he says he is going to chase other leads, and will call if he finds anything, telling her to do the same.  Carly talks to Jason about Sonny leaving the business, as he is using his resources to try to find Spencer; she says, ”when Sonny tries to go, he’s gonna leave behind a lot of unhappy people.”  Jason tells her they will find a way to make it work.  Diane comes in; she says Sonny has been avoiding her all day.  She complains that he has given Max a promotion to “interim manager of operations,” until he finds a permanent successor for the “Head of Corinthos Organization.”  She says this makes Max a target and asks why they didn’t tell her what Sonny was planning; they both say they didn’t know.  Jason goes back to search for Spencer.  Valentin shows up at Crimson, beaten; Anna asks what happened. He simply says he was indisposed… when she leaves he tells Nina what really happened.- Nina says he needs to call police.  He doesn’t want to because he is out on bail.

Anna heads to Kelley’s diner.  Maxie asks Nathan if she should have called first.  She says she is only in town for 3 hours and wanted to spend some alone time with him. She asks about the phone call, and gets a little worried about Nathan’s response – she mentions reading Ask Man Landers; Nathan admits he’s “glanced at it.”  Then he tells her, almost… but Felicia and Mac walk in.  They sit right down at the table and begin talking.  Anna calls Patrick and asks how Robyn is; she seems upset by answer.  “Oh my God!” she exclaims.  She sees Maxie and everyone else… tells them that Robyn’s having the baby.  She and Felicia go on and on and on, talking about babies; all the while, Maxie and Nathan are trying to get out of there.  Maxie finally tells them, just blurting it out; she and Nathan would like to be alone, and Felicia and Mac finally catch on and shove them out the door.  When they get alone, Maxie and Nathan begin to talk about moving, one way or the other – Maxie tells him she loves him very much, and says, right now, they are together; they make love.  Shortly afterward, she tells him her car is going to be there in a few minutes; she gets up and gets dressed.  Just before walking out the door, she asks about what he was going to tell her before her parents showed up.  He tells her its nothing that can’t wait; he kisses her goodbye once again.

Dante shows Laura Spencer’s glasses; she screams, “no…no.”  She is still sure it’s Valentin.  Dante promises her he will find Spencer, by any means necessary – they are still talking, when Valentin walks in to give his statement.  Laura asks Dante, what if he has done something to Spencer; but just then, Spencer walks in, announcing, “Grandmother, I’m free.”  She tells him she was afraid he might have been hurt; he says he is more than a match for the average kidnapper.  Laura asks where he was; how he got out and he tells her how he stacked up books and broke his glasses.  She happens to have an extra pair for him in her purse, which makes him happy.  Valentin and Nina look sincerely surprised to see Spencer; Laura tells them he escaped.  Nina asks Spencer to tell everyone that Valentin had nothing to do with his kidnapping, but Spencer has other plans.*Sam tells Sonny that Jason is not coming to help him, ever again.  Sonny assures Sam he is not taking Jason away; Sam says he always gets his way, but he’s not gonna this time.  He steps closer and closer, telling her that he doesn’t want to hurt her – he cautions her not to do something she can’t take back.  She says she doesn’t have a choice, breathing heavily, and about to cry.  Sonny tells her she is like family; he reaches out and begins to take the gun from her, gently pulling her hands down – it fires, hitting him in the thigh.  He says, he knows she didn’t mean to do this; but suddenly, her facial expression changes, “yes I did,” she says, as she kicks him off the edge of whatever construction they standing upon… he falls into a large hole.  Looks like maybe 20 feet; she dumps gun in dumpster.

Carly offers Diane a drink; Diane toasts Sonny getting out of the mob, congratulating Carly.  Carly tells Diane to tell Max how grateful she is… she says he’s always been a soldier, now a general.  Diane says he was always honest about who he was and does, and wanted; but says she would give anything if he just wanted to be a little league coach, fly fishing guide, etc.  She starts crying and says she just hates when he gets shot; she tells Carly she envies her, starting a brand new life… she says this is her time and tells her to hold onto it.  She tells Carly Sonny is only leaving because of her; says when they were getting divorced he was willing to let the world burn down around him, but now he has her back, he’s doing everything he possibly can to give her the world.  That’s how much she means to him, she tells her; she says, and he’s getting out without throwing himself into a 6-foot ditch (ironic symbolism).  But Sonny is more than six feet down, amongst wooden barrels and out cold, still bleeding from his leg, most likely. Jason gets home, and finds no sign of Sam; she walks in behind him.  He sees something is very wrong; her eyes red and watering, her face is flushed, she is breathing heavily, and won’t look at him.

07-24-2017 (Monday) Shots Fired

Dante tells Nathan to go home and get some rest; maybe take a shower too, he suggests.  Oscar comes in; he says he has some information about Spencer Cassadine.  He found some post-it notes… he says the counselors stick these foreheads of their foreheads and they have to guess who they are.  He says Fredrick Douglas was Spencer’s.  Dante thanks Oscar for his help.  Jos says she wants to help with the search; Carly tells her there is nothing she can do.  She reminds Joslyn that she is still grounded; she asks if she has called Oscar yet to invite him over.  She tells her mom Oscar is helping with the search.  Joslyn’s phone dings; Carly looks and sees it’s a text from Oscar.  He has something to tell Jos and wants to come over; Carly tells her to have him come on over, as she hands back her phone.

Oscar shows up, in a tie, with flowers; Carly is cordial but lets it be known that she wasn’t happy about him being there alone with jos drinking alcohol.  She goes to put the flowers in water.  After they sit down, they have a conversation about underage drinking; Oscar admits to succumbing to peer pressure a few times before, which he agrees is dumb.  He swears never to do anything like that ever again, especially if it will cost him his friendship with Joslyn.  Oscar makes it clear how much Jos means to him and how special he believes she is; Carly says she agrees and is going to stick up for her whether Jos wants her to or not.  He says that’s cool; Carly asks where they moved here from… Ohio.  He tells her about his dad not being present in his life; Carly asks how long he’s been playing piano.  After Oscar leaves, Carly tells Jos she likes him – and he’s super cute, she says.  She tells Jos she can keep seeing him.

Jason throws a bucket of water on Valentin’s head; he wakes up.  Jason holds Spencer’s “missing” poster; Valentin asks what he wants to know.  He asks where Spencer is; Valentin diverts the question with a question and then denies taking Spencer once again.  Jason says maybe his memory is just hazy; he pulls out a knife and says he is going to find out where Spencer is one way or another.  Sonny wonders who sent him this text with the picture of Spencer; he asks what they want… they reply “Meet at Black Duck Distillery, with $200,000.00; no cops or the kid dies.”  Valentin still insists he did not take Spencer and tells Jason he is wasting precious time that he could be spending looking for him; Valentin finally convinces Jason that he is not lying.  Sonny shows up at the designated location; a gun points out from behind a wall and fires.  Sonny drops to the ground.

The man steps out and walks toward Sonny; Sonny turns and fires, shooting the man in the arm.  It’s Garvey; Sonny says it’s a good thing he put on a vest.  Garvey says his arm is bad and he needs help; Sonny asks where Spencer is and Garvey tells him, in a structure behind an abandoned house on Poplar.  He swears he was only using the kid to get to him; Sonny says he is going to call the cops.  Sam calls out behind him; Sonny looks at her.  He asks what she’s doing here; she says she came for him.  Valerie shows Dante where the post-it notes were found; he finds security footage from the parking lot; he orders the area sealed off and starts going over the footage.  He notices a car with the trunk just out of camera view; the driver looks suspicious… the car turns down Cottage Street.  Valerie goes to check that out.  She brings back other footage; they track the car to a certain alley.  Sonny asks Sam to call Jason; she doesn’t.  Garvey starts to stand up and Sonny shoots him in the leg; he goes back down.  Sonny tells Sam to come with him, and he walks past her; she pulls out her gun and says she isn’t going anywhere with him.

Mac is eating (can’t tell if this is the same actor as years ago or not; I think it is)… he drops a fork and knocks over a bag at his feet; a satin nightie.  Nathan asks what the occasion is; Mac says he just wants to make his wife feel as special as she is, keep her interested and put a little ‘umph’ back in their marriage.  No more veggin’ out in front of the tv, he says; Nathan recalls his conversation with “Steve” during his interview.  Mac confesses that he wrote to Ask Man Landers last week and got his answer the other day.  He leaves; Nathan calls Amy and tells her things just got really weird.  Maxie approaches the table (looking much more like her healthy self again) and says she couldn’t agree more.

Oscar calls Jos; they talk about all the things they enjoy doing and can do together this summer now that he passed Carly’s test.  They say this is going to be the most awesome summer ever.  Carly goes to see Sonny and finds Jason sitting at the table; he tells her Sonny left there over an hour ago and hasn’t come back.  They wonder where he went.  Sam tells Sonny to put his gun down; he does.  She says that Jason will never be there for him again because now he is going to die.  (I think Garvey is going to get up again.)

07-21-2017 (Friday) Where, Oh Where Art Thou, Spencer?

Bobbie asks Carly if there’s been any progress finding Spencer; Carly says no and tells her that Sonny is using his connections (even though he was trying to severe them) to try to find Spencer.  Carly tells her mother that Joslyn thinks it’s all her fault; she mentions Oscar being a lifeguard at Lila’s Kids now, and whines that Jos will be seeing him every day.  Bobbie says, “ah, Summer romance” and it hits Carly hard; this is a romance.  She says she is not ready for this.  Bobbie offers the advice of keeping the lines of communication open and to be there for her; Carly says she just doesn’t want her to be the type of teenage girl ‘they’ were.  Jos wanders out into the living room; they admit they were talking about her.  Bobbie leaves and Carly tells Jos they are going to spend the day together; she asks Jos if Oscar is her “boyfriend.”  Jos says she and Oscar are just friends; she tells her mom she barely knows him.  Carly tells Jos that she doesn’t want him pressuring her into anything, like drinking; Jos says he didn’t pressure her.  Jos tells her mom she doesn’t even know him; Carly tells her they should change that.  She says she wants to meet Oscar; Jos says, “no.”  She tells her she’s afraid she will embarrass her; Carly laughs about how rough these teenage years are going to be and tells her to call Oscar.  She says she won’t embarrass her too much.

Laura comes to see Sonny; he guarantees her they will get Spencer back.  She thanks him for doing all he can; they talk about Valentin.  Sonny tells her he will “get him in transfer, or get him at home” saying, either way, he is going to get him.  She thanks him and leaves.  Sam has an argument with the hallucination of Sonny; he says he knows he’s made things difficult for her, but he only wants what’s best for their family.  She says he only wants what’s best for him; Sonny asks what he can say, adding Jason gets results.  Sam says, “oh yeah, well so do I.”  Jason walks in the room and asks her who she is talking to; she lies about some app that records your voice for your baby.  She tells Jason she is feeling great; he can tell something is still not right though.  He hugs her; she looks across the room and sees Sonny smiling at her.

Someone knocks on the door; it’s Sonny.  Sam says she has to take Scout’s blanket to Molly and leaves; Sonny asks if she’s okay and Jason says he doesn’t know.  Sonny tells Jason he wouldn’t bother him, but tells him Spencer is missing; Jason says he heard.  Sonny says Valentin needs to be stopped; Jason asks if he wants him to stop Valentin.  Sonny says the cops are all over it so it would have to be low-key; Jason tells him he’s in.  He understands this is family; he says he’ll do what he can.  Sonny asks if Sam is going to be alright with this; he says she will understand – he’s looking for a little kid, someone she’s related to – it’s okay he says.

Ava dumps all of her makeup from her makeup bag in the garbage; she says there isn’t enough paint in the world to cover her new face.  She orders a case of vodka, to be delivered; she tells them to be quick about it.  The delivery man comes promptly; Ava tries to get away without opening the door until he left, but he says he has to see who’s signing for it.  She opens the door and says, “boo.”  Sam goes to see her father and finds Ava passed out on the couch.  Sam can’t believe her father isn’t there with her; Ava says she told him to leave.  She inquires about Ava’s drinking, saying, she needs to think of Avery; Ava says when Avery looks at her, she doesn’t see her mother, she sees a monster.  She goes to get Sam some coffee and offers her some Vodka; Sam tells her she is not a monster, and says she can close her self up from the world and concede victory to Sonny, or she can reclaim her life the way she wants it.  She encourages Ava to put on the mask; they both look in the mirror.

Nina makes a call; she tells her broker she wants to withdraw of the money from a certain account.  He tries to talk her out of it, but she says she knows what she’s doing.  Nathan tells Valentin if he knows anything about what has happened to Spencer, now would be the time to talk.  An officer comes in and tells Nathan that Cassadine’s bail has been posted; Nina comes in to pick him up.  Nathan goes to get her paperwork.  Valentin thanks Nina, but tells her she doesn’t have to get involved; she says she is already involved.  She tells him she believes him and will stand behind him, but adds that it doesn’t mean she’s coming back to him.  Laura is irate when she sees Nina taking Valentin home; she screams at her and then breaks down crying.  She leaves in frustration; Nina starts crying and says, “I’m trying to put myself in her place and I just can’t” then Nathan tells her to imagine if it was her sister.

Nina gets irritated and turns away; Nathan tells her he’s concerned because he knows she is going to take Valentine back; he says she’s just making him jump through hoops before she does. He tells her if she does, and Valentin breaks her heart again, she’ll have to find someone else to pick up the pieces.  He can’t do it anymore, he says.  Laura chases Valentin down and begs him to return her grandson; he tells her she is wasting her time because he had nothing to do with Spencer’s disappearance.  She points out that Spencer is no threat to him; he tells her that makes his point for him… he tries to walk away and she grabs him.  He wishes her luck with her search and pulls away from her, turning to walk away again; she grabs a pry bar off a crate and hits over the back of the head.  Valentin gets back up, not hurt too bad; he says he will get her for that… Jason comes out from behind him and puts his arm around Valentin’s throat.  Valentin passes out and Jason tells Laura to get out of there; Sonny gets a text – a picture of Spencer sitting in the basement of wherever he is.  Sam sees Sonny again, who tells her, “it looks like you were wrong Samantha,” about who would have Jason and for how long.  Sam goes to the closet and gets out a gun; she heads out the door.

07-20-2017 (Thursday) Home Sweet Home

Sonny gets an offer on Pazzulo’s, but he doesn’t like this particular buyer; Carly tells him he doesn’t have to sell it if he doesn’t want to.  Sonny says, if he wants to get out of the business, he has to get rid of everything that was ever connected to it.  Laura knocks on Sonny’s door; she tells Sonny that Spencer is missing and says she needs his help.  Nina asks Valentin if he needs her to call a lawyer; he says no, he doesn’t need one because he did not kidnap Spencer Cassadine.  He agrees to answer Dante’s questions, tells them about his meeting with Spencer earlier, but denies taking him.  He demonstrates a little anger when they bring up Spencer telling Charlotte that he murdered Nikolas.  He admits he was angry but says he didn’t lay a finger on him.  Laura tells Sonny about this as well; Sonny asks if Valentin threatened Spencer.  Laura says Valentin only told Charlotte that she wouldn’t ever have to see Spencer again; she asks Sonny to use all of his resources to help her find him.

Nathan offers to give Nina a lift; she says she has another request.  Nathan knows exactly what she means; he tells her no – she tells him he has to trust her on this one.  She goes in to see Valentin in the interrogation room; she tells him she wants the truth.  He says what he said was true, but calls Spencer a spoiled little brat.  He says he could have told him all kinds of bad things about his father; she says he would never be so mean.  He agrees, and says he wouldn’t kidnap him either; he tells her she knows that.  She denies believing in him, but he insists, reminding her that she is the one he changed for.  He grabs her, gently, and tells her to tell him she doesn’t still believe in him.  She says she wants to believe him, for Charlotte’s sake; he asks what she sees in him, a monster, or the man she made him want to be?  She tells him she sees a man that she believes.  Dante calls Laura down to the station; he tells her there’ve been possible sightings but nothing has panned out.  He asks her if Valentin threatened Spencer; she says the implication was there.  He tells her they have arrested him, but don’t have enough to charge him yet.

A woman comes in and says she feeds the pigeons every day; she says she saw a man grab the young boy and drag him out of the park.  She picks Valentin’s picture out of a photo lineup.  Unfortunately, Dante figures out that she just recognizes him from the news; Nina tells Dante that they have the wrong guy.  Dante says, if his alibi checks out, they won’t be able to hold him; but Valentin’s alibi does not hold up.  He wasn’t with his lawyer getting the visitation order, like he said he was.  Dante says he did have time to grab Spencer and sends him for booking.  Joslyn comes to Sonny’s, upset that she was the one in charge when Spencer disappeared; Sonny assures her they are going to find him.  Carly thanks Sonny for being so good for her and tells him to do whatever it takes to find Spencer.

Finn is approached by Lucy, who praises him on his accomplishments and then says she has the keys to his dream house; he wonders what’s keeping Hayden.  Hayden walks into her office to find Obrecht; she asks what she is still doing there.  She says she is getting the last of her things; Hayden tells her to get out right now or she will have her re-arrested.  Finn and Lucy talk about Obrecht; Lucy says she has caused more than her share of suffering.  Obrecht turns and wishes Finn and Hayden, and their “offspring,” a bright future; she snarls as steps onto the elevator and the doors close.  Lucy takes Finn and Hayden to see the house; Hayden doesn’t seem to like it.  She says it’s not the house; it’s her.

She says the house is so much like the place she grew up in, it just brings back bad memories; he says they can put their own new memories in this house, saying they can rip out anything she doesn’t want.  She asks since when he became so optimistic; he says since he stopped putting poison in his veins and fell in love with her.  They start kissing and decide to make love in their soon-to-be new home.  Obrecht is back on her computer, trying to dig up more dirt on Hayden.  Lucy comes back just as they are putting their clothes back on and asks if everything was to their liking; looking just a little embarrassed, they say they have no complaints.  Finn tells Lucy to go get the papers; they are ready to make an offer.  Leisel finds something; an old newspaper clipping about “Rachel’s” engagement to Jared Preston, Jr.; she calls and asks Mr. Preston if they can meet, telling him it would be in  his interest as well as hers.

07-19-2017 (Wednesday) Arrested

Julian comes to see Alexis; he tells her he wants her to be a witness for the defense.  She reminds him he’s the reason her license was suspended and says she won’t lie for him again.  He tells her he wants her to tell the truth; because she has nothing to gain and everything else to lose, he says, the jury will believe her.  She hands him a bible and tells him she wants to hear him testify; she questions him as if he were on the stand, asking why he didn’t give her some warning about his sister.  He swears he did it to protect her; he saw no other way.  She tells him she would be more of a detriment to his case than a benefit, but agrees to do it.  A knock comes on the door; she is delivered a Subpoena to appear in court as a witness, for the prosecution.

Finn tells Hayden the townhouse he was buying fell through; he tells her he found a better house – one with a yard and everything.  Griffin tells Finn they still need to do one more test; the results are negative and Monica official reinstates him. He gets a text; he is being called to the conference room.  There, a party awaits him; Hayden hugs him.Obrecht comes to get her final check and hears the group making a toast; she somehow thinks it is for her, and walks in with a smile, which quickly turns into mortification.  Hayden gives Obrecht her final paycheck.

Nathan goes to see his sister; she tells him that Valentin told her he was going to pull out all the stops to win her back.  She shows him pictures of her new “nursing home for horses” – Nathan asks if it’s working. Obrecht comes in; she has business to discuss with Nina.  She asks her son if she can speak with her niece privately.  She tells Nina she needs a job, and wonders if she could write a medical column for the magazine or something.  Nina says Crimson isn’t a medical magazine, but tells her aunt she will make some calls to see if she can find her a fitting position somewhere.

When Laura calls Dante to tell him that Spencer is missing, Dante says that’s not too unusual for him.  Laura tells Dante she knows that Valentin would like to make Spencer disappear permanently.  Dante asks Valentin to come down to the station to answer some questions, interrupting his visitation with Charlotte; Laura offers to take Charlotte home.  Valentin drops a paper that has lines from the play written on it; Nina says Spencer was rehearsing the part.  In Spencer’s handwriting, it says, “Claudius equals Valentin; Hamlet equals me.”  Nathan asks Valentin what he is doing with these notes; before he can answer, Dante places him under arrest.

07-18-2017 (Tuesday) Freedom

Ava, still wrapped up like a mummy, is sent home; Julian comes into the hospital looking for her.  He says he was just at her apartment and she’s not there; he wonders where she might be.  Carly and Sonny stand to leave Morgan’s grave; they turn around to see Ava standing there.  She apologizes for intruding; they ask why she’s there.  She says Morgan has been on her mind; she says he’s always on her mind.  Sonny welcomes her to his son’s grave and asks why this is the first time she’s been there.  He angrily tells her she will eventually pay for what she’s done.  She says she isn’t sure how much more she can pay; Sonny suggests she confess and go to prison.  Carly asks if she hurts, then gloats about it being the ultimate punishment; this happening to someone so vain.  She tells her, no her face is as ugly as her soul; they walk away.  Back at the bar, Carly tells Sonny, “Ava is not free, and we won’t be either until we let her go.”  She insists they cannot give Ava one more moment of grief; she tells him he is her everything and, together, they win.  Sonny tells her he has some loose ends to tie up; she asks him what if it isn’t possible for him to get out of the business.

Felix asks Ava if she is ready to go; she tells him she still needs a minute.  She tells Morgan if she could go back…she cries; she says she feels sick all the time and doesn’t know what to believe anymore.  When she arrives home, Julian is waiting for her; he says he’s been concerned.  Felix offers to help Ava remove some of her bandages; Ava asks Julian if he would do her a favor and cover all the mirrors.  He does; they talk about his upcoming trial.  Ava says she’s pulling for him; he says, “right back at ya.”  Julian gets a little uncomfortable after Felix takes off the wrap; Felix gives her instructions to put on ointment and the mask.  Julian says he has to go, but will be back; Ava looks at one of her pictures, then looks in the mirror at her scars.  She talks to herself, hatefully; she says, “this is all your fault.”

Jordan and Curtis meet; he tells her about his Aunt Stella’s confession to him.  She says it sounds like they had a great morning, and asks why he looks so upset; he tells her his aunt’s story and says he feels so guilty for all she sacrificed.  He says it’s a game changer.  He talks about how awful he was to his auntie, having told her once that she should have had a “damn life of [her] own” – Jordan says he has to forgive himself, and asks what that means for them.  He tells Jordan his feelings for her knocked him off his feet; he says he thought they were going to go the distance.  She says so did she; he tells her he just can’t break his aunt’s heart after all she’s done for him and they agree to break up again, as they are holding hands.  Jordan says she thinks it’s the right thing (but she doesn’t know his aunt has now given Curtis her blessing); Curtis says it still feels wrong.  He says maybe when Stella gets better; Jordan says she doesn’t live in the “maybe.”  They agree to still be friends; they both says they are really going to miss each other.

Laura gets a call that there has been an “incident” – she tells Joslyn she will be right there.  Spencer is thrown down a set of wooden stairs; he screams, “you’ve messed with the wrong kid” and demands that he be let out right now.  He says to himself, “alright Valentin; game on.”  He notices a window and tries to figure out how to get up to it.  Laura arrives at Lila’s Kids to find Charlotte sitting on the bench; she asks where her pappa is; Laura tells her they couldn’t reach him so they called her.  She hugs her; Charlotte asks if it’s really true that her father killed Spencer’s father.  Laura tells her it is and hugs her again; Valentin shows up.  Spencer tries throwing a rope up to a nail on the wall above the window; he tries repeatedly and eventually gets it.  He tries to climb, but falls and breaks his glasses.  Valentin tells Laura he has been granted temporary visitation for the next three hours; he shows Laura the paperwork.  They begin to fight over Spencer again; Valentin calls him a bully.  When he makes remarks about Nikolas, Laura slaps him; he grabs her arm.  Jos returns with Charlotte, now ready to go; Laura asks her to go get Spencer for her.  Joslyn comes back and tells Laura that no one seems to know where Spencer is; Laura calls the driver, Chandler, but he doesn’t have him.  Laura says she thinks Spencer is in trouble.  Valentin tells Charlotte they will be a family again, and no one is going to stop that from happening… least of all Spencer.

07-17-2017 (Monday) On The Edge

Ava is telling Felix to leave her alone; he is trying to get her ready to leave, ass she is being discharged.  She says she’s not going back to the penthouse; she says she’s not going anywhere… she refuses to leave the hospital.  She says she doesn’t want to make other children cry the way she made her own daughter cry; she just wants to stay there, locked away, claiming its better for everyone.  Jason brings Sam to pick up her medication; she protests the supervision.  Elizabeth tells her the doctor has an opening right now and asks if she wants the appointment since she asked to reschedule her follow-up tests; Jason is confused.  He asks Sam why she lied to him, telling him the doctor gave her an all clear; she says she just doesn’t want to be poked and prodded anymore.  He says she needs to stay healthy, for the kids and asks Elizabeth if they can take that appointment.

Sam’s hallucination of Sonny tells her she better find a way to get out of the exam, saying they both know it won’t end well for her.  Liz says the doctor can see her in a few minutes; Sonny tells her they might find out about ‘him’ – that something is wrong with her – and then they’ll think she’s just some crazy lady who sees things that aren’t there; and after that, he asks her, “what will stop me from hurting her family.”  Jason asks Sam if she’s okay.  Griffin tells Sam he wants to do a neuro-scan; she agrees.  Afterward she says it was no big deal; Griffin says it will be two to three days until they have her results.  Griffin’s face warps into Sonny’s; he tells her it won’t be long until they find her weakness and lock her up; he says if she is going to eliminate him she better do it now.

Jordan calls to see how Stella is doing; Curtis tells her she is getting better.  She tells him she is just trying to give Stella some space to heal; he thanks her and says he’ll see her later.  Andre sees Anna; the agree that they are still friends, but look longingly at each other; Jordan approaches and Andre excuses himself.  Jordan asks Anna what she just walked in on.  She tells Anna its okay with her if she wants to get with Andre; she then tells Anna that she thinks she caused Stella’s stroke.  Felix dazzles Stella with his charisma; they laugh as she listens to him talk.  He brings her in flowers that were brought by TJ; she says she used to get boquets like that from someone who was very special once… Felix says, “do tell.”  Curtis steps up to the door; she stops talking when she sees him.  He says he’d like to hear more about this mystery man, but she refuses to talk anymore; Felix tells her he’ll be back later for the rest of that story.

Stella ends up telling Curtis about a young man who proposed to her once; she says when his mother died, she dropped out of college and moved back to Baltimore to be with  the boys.  Curtis apologizes, not knowing she gave up so much for he and Tommy; he asks why the guy didn’t come with her.  She says he had a good job; and before texting and everything, long-distance relationships didn’t work.  She says she could have stayed with him, or been with family; in the end, there was no decision.  Jordan thanks Anna for the talk and says it helped; she admits she might be using this medical crisis to push Curtis away again.  Anna tells her to call him and they hug goodbye.  When she calls, he doesn’t answer.  Stella tells Curtis that she will try to accept him being with Jordan; she says all she ever wanted was for him to be happy.  Jordan calls again; Stella tells him to answer.  Jordan asks him if he would like to have dinner and talk; he says that’s a good idea.  Andre goes in to see Ava; she tells him she doesn’t want to talk.  He asks her if she is having a suicidal thoughts; she laughs and says she isn’t sure she belongs in this world anymore.  After talking to her for a while, she decides she is ready to go home and agrees to let Felix escort her.

When Laura brings Spencer to Lila’s Kids camp, he makes a big deal out of how important the play is; Valentin steps out from behind a tree and says he couldn’t agree more.  Laura tells him he isn’t supposed to be there.  He says he knows, but couldn’t resist; Charlotte hugs him and asks when she can come live with him again.  He says soon; Laura tells him it was mean to get Charlotte’s hopes up because Lulu has custody now.   He asks if she knows about the lawsuit; she says of course.  He says Nikolas may be alive and well out there; he says he will protect what is his by whatever means necessary.  Charlotte asks Spencer why he hates her pappa s much; Spencer tells Charlotte her “pappa” killed his father.  She gets made and says it’s not true; she runs and asks her father, who doesn’t deny it, or admit it.  He tells Laura that Spencer has now hurt his daughter and he’s not going to let it happen again; he leaves.Carly and Sonny put their rings back on, making a new vow to always hold on to their strengths; they slip the rings on each other’s fingers, say a few words and kiss.  When he tells her they aren’t going to be prosecuting Ave, and they are just going to have to make peace with that; Carly gets angry and says they have to take things into their own hands. Sonny says they can’t; he says he can’t tell Avery one day that he killed her mother.  Sonny tells Carly the only way to beat Ava is not to let her consume their thoughts; Carly tells him she wants to go visit Morgan’s grave.  They apologize to Morgan for their fighting and tell him it’s all over now; he says they are going to move forward and be happy.  Spencer sits on the bench practicing his lines and someone puts a black bag over his head; he struggles.

07-14-2017 (Friday) Here's to Lee

Laura tells Spencer that she believes Valentin will be brought to justice one day; she tells him he needs to stop thinking violence is the answer.  Spencer says he is not thinking of violence anymore; he says a more viable solution has presented itself.  Laura receives a text about Scotty’s father’s death; she says she is going to have to turn him over to Chandler, and tells him “no detours this time” or Chandler will be fired.  Spencer tells her they are all good; no funny business. Scotty is happy to see his daughter, Serena; she hugs both of her parents and Scotty raves over how beautiful and grown up she looks.  She says she is happy to see them, even if it is to say goodbye to “grandpa.”  She shows them pictures and tells them stories of her life with her grandfather; then she tells them of the night he died, just after watching a sunset with her.  Lucy holds back tears as her daughter sobs.  She gives a box to Scotty and says Grandpa gave this to me for you; said you were the best person for it.  It’s a fishing fly; Scotty talks about going fishing with his father, and one time his father rescued him.  He says he feels bad that the one time his dad needed him, he wasn’t there for him.  He talks about his father telling him he was bitter after Laura left him, and he needed to move on; he says it took him a long time to take that advice.  A knock comes to the door; it’s Laura.  They all discuss Lee and good times they had and what a wonderful, ethical and brutally honest man he was; they pour a drink and toast to Lee Baldwin.

Alexis tells Valentin they have something important to discuss; he prepares a picnic.  She hands him legal papers and tells him she is filing a civil suit against him for the death of her nephew; she tells him her client is his grand-nephew, Spencer Cassadine.  Valentin reminds Alexis that Spencer never had a claim on Wyndemere and this whole trial would be a circus that would traumatize Spencer.  Valentin says her witnesses aren’t reliable; a small child and a known criminal.  She says she thinks they have a pretty good chance.  He tells her that he thinks she is exploiting a small child; she says she thinks the court will see it another way.  She says if the child can’t have his father, money is better than nothing; she slams the papers down and leaves.

Spencer goes to see Ava; he apologizes for scaring her when he wakes her.  He tells her, he’s been where she is and knows how scary it is; he says he wants her to know his heart is with her, as his father’s was.  She tells him he reminds her a lot of his father; Spencer smiles.  He tells her that he is filing a civil suit against Valentin on behalf of his father; he asks if he could have her help, as a witness.  She tells him that she would tell that jury his father died as a hero.  Ava says she is glad he is taking action against Valentin and she thinks his father would be proud; Spencer tells her that he sure hopes she can find peace.  He gives her a sweet and gentle hug; she cries a little.

Sonny tells Kiki that he now has full custody of Avery; he tells her he doesn’t blame her for her mother’s actions any more than he would blame Avery.  He says he told the nanny that Kiki can see Avery any time she wants; Kiki says she wants to go see her right now. Ava dreams of being healed, and then being told she was under arrest of Morgan’s murder.  She drops the mirror and wakes up; she is relieved to see it was just a dream.  Then Dante walks in; he tells her she should confess.  Dante comes out and tells his father that he has bad news; there is a problem with the case against Ava.  The Lithium was a dead end; no dealers are selling it.  Sonny is upset; he says her suffering now is still not enough.  He wants justice; Dante tells him he thinks they are going to have to let this go.

Amy gives Nathan directions for the interview he has agreed to do, even though he had wanted to keep his appearance secret; she says he needs to take off his ring, and he puts it in his pocket.  She tells him once this is done, he will never have to be Man Landers again.  Nathan hits a home run with the interview, answering questions like a pro; telling one man, who was complaining about his wife not wanting to have sex, that he needs to turn off his devices and turn his wife on… to take time to find out what her needs are before he expects her to fulfill his.  Amy looks through the window and smiles.

Kiki comes to see her mother; she tells her she has a special surprise and brings Avery in.  Avery looks at Ava and starts crying; Ava tells Kiki not to ever bring Avery there again.  Kiki asks if she should stay; Ava tells her to go be with her sister.  Alexis shows up at the park; Spencer asks her if she delivered the devastating blow. She says she did indeed; she says he was a cool customer.  Spencer says, “we’re gonna beat him right?”  She says of course they are.  Valentin makes a call; he says he wants this lawsuit taken out before it starts.  They must tell him they can’t because he says, “fine… I’ll have to deal with Spencer Cassadine myself.” *(This episode aired “In memory of Peter Hanson,” who played Lee Baldwin.)

07-13-2017 (Thursday) Scotty's Sad News

Lucy knocks, frantically on Scotty’s door; he is eating, but he tells her he is preparing for an important case.  She says this is important and it can’t wait; she pushes her way inside.  He tells her he can’t help her because he is too busy; besides he is mad she ratted him out to the cops, adding he is lucky to be alive, referencing Corinthos’ goons.  Lucy begs him to stop; she says this is about his father.  He asks if she called to involve him in this; she shakes her head no and tells him she is sorry – she says, “he’s gone.”  Scotty says he just spoke to him last week, or a month ago; she says Serena (their daughter) called her.  She says Serena told her he went peacefully; she says she called because she didn’t want him to find out over the phone.  He says his dad was a bulldog; he can’t believe he’s dead.  She offers to stay with him, as Scotty pours himself a drink; she asks if that’s a fitting way to honor him.  Scotty screams, “I was a disappointment to him in life; why shouldn’t I be a disappointment to him in his death as well?”  He says his father adopted him after his mom died, took care of him, loved him; he recounts the ways he failed his father and says he took him for granted.  He remembers his father telling him he burned all their bridges a long time ago, and takes a drink; Lucy takes his drink from him.  She tells him she knows him and that is not the sum total of who he is; she reminds him that they brought Serena into this world and he was a changed man.  She says Lee was proud of him and the man he had become.  Serena shows up at the door.Felicia talks to Nathan; he asks why she is trying to book up all his free time.  She says she and Max want to keep him company because they would hate for him to get lonely; seems she is concernend something might be going on with Amy.  Amy is in the hallway, staring at papers; Bobbie startles her.  She asks her an off the wall question about how often she and her former husband had sex; Bobbie laughs and says they aren’t there yet.  Nathan tells Felicia that he understands this job is a great opportunity for Maxie and he’s happy she gets to be with Georgie; Felicia says still, they want to keep him company.  Besides, she says, they promised Maxie they would keep an eye on him; he says she should tell him if she has concerns.  Felicia says Maxie thinks he is keeping something from her, mocking how silly that is.  Nathan’s phone rings.  He tells Felicia Maxie has “no cause for concern.”  Carly finds Bobbie and asks if she thinks Felicia can really dig up dirt on Nelle; Bobbie says she’d bet her lipstick on it.  Carly says they need to be careful; she doesn’t want Michael to think they are on a witch hunt.  Bobbie says, oh, but they are… because Nelle is a witch; she assures Carly Michael will never find out that she is involved though.  Bobbie tells Carly she will need “play nice with Nelle; she says she can.  She reminds her the more she attacks Nelle, the more Michael is going to want to protect her.  She says it’s the fact that he cares about Nelle that drives her crazy.  Michael goes to see Nelle; he pulls her aside urgently, saying this can’t wait.  She asks what’s wrong; he says he misses her, and kisses her passionately.  She tells him they should be careful; he agrees, since they are on his “mom’s turff” and tells her he will try to be good.  Carly comes back to the office; Michael invites her to join him and Nelle for lunch.  Bobbie interrupts Felicia’s conversation with Nathan; Nathan excuses himself.  Bobbie asks Felicia if she will join her in taking down Nelle; Felicia says no.  She tells Bobbie she thinks it is a mistake; she warns that she will alienate Michael if she doesn’t back off.  She suggests they let Michael live his own life and asks her to take time to think it over.  However, she says, if they decide they really want her to take the case, she will.  She kisses Bobbie on the cheek and leaves.  Michael tells Nelle everyone will accept that they are a reality before too long; Nelle excuses herself to the bathroom and Michael goes over to tell Bobbie he loves her, but explains that he has to be true to himself.  Bobbie starts to bad-mouth Nelle and he defends her; she comes out of the restroom; he tells Bobbie they have all had second chances and third chances, and asks why he shouldn’t do that for Nelle.  Nelle smiles.Oscar asks Sonny how many times Jos has to tell him she doesn’t want to talk to him; Sonny tells him to stay out of it.  He doesn’t appreciate Oscar standing up for Jos; he says he can fix any problem he has.  Oscar steps next to Joslyn and turns his phone recorder on; he tells Sonny he will upload the video and claim he is making a pass at them, calling him a “perv.”  Jos tells Oscar that this is her step-father; Oscar shuts his phone off and starts to apologize.  Sonny tells him what he just did “was exactly the right thing to do.”  Sonny tells Jos that her father’s issues have been resolved and he can come back to the states anytime he wants.  She says that’s nice, but she’s still mad that he got thrown out in the first place; she says it disrupted his whole life and made it so she can’t even see him this summer.  Sonny apologizes for that once more and tells her nonetheless, he will always have her back, “much like this guy” he says, as he pats Oscar on the back.Nathan goes to see Amy; she shows him the proofs.  He says he is glad it’s over, telling her he is done being Man Landers.  She tells him she needs just one more thing from him; she says her brother is getting the operation and will need home care, so she is taking a leave of absence to be there for him… she needs Man Landers to do an interview.  He refuses.  He tells her now might be a good time to tell everybody that she is really Ask Man Landers; she walks away crying, and he asks how the interview is going to work.  She runs back and hugs him.Carly tells Sonny about her and Bobbie’s plan to take down Nelle; he tells her he gave Joslyn some good news, explaining how he got Jax’s deportation order rescinded.  He tells Carly he hopes to be close to Jos again, then mentions this guy, “Oscar.”  Carly’s jaw drops.  Jos tells Oscar she is impressed with the way he challenged her step-father, but makes him promise not to do it next time.  He says certainly, as long as there is going to be a next time.  Carly tells Sonny Oscar is the boy that Bobbie caught drinking with Joslyn; he tells her he thinks he is a good boy.

07-12-2017 (Wednesday) Code Word: Fireflies

Kevin and Laura have lunch; Spencer practices for his play; she says it’s a depressing play.  He says if she thinks that, she has missed the whole point of the play; he tells Jos there is no nobler mission than to avenge one’s father.  Laura frets about Spencer’s obsession with reclaiming his birthright; Oscar shows up at Lila’s Kids, while Jos is talking to Spencer.  Laura tells Kevin the anniversary of Nikolas’ death is coming up; he tells her at least Valentin is nowhere around.  Julian comes in and tells him he is wrong; he says Valentin is right here in Port Charles.  Oscar and Jos go to get something to drink.  As Spencer continues to practice his lines, Valentin applauds.  He sits down and tells Spencer he has brought him a peace offering and holds out a ring; says it was his grandfather’s.  He wants to pass it on to Spencer; Spencer’s response is to tell him that if he thinks the ring will make them even, he is “dead wrong.”  Joslyn asks Oscar to go a little easier on Spencer next time, explaining about how his mother died when he was a baby and then his dad last year; Oscar tells Jos she has a very dramatic family.  Spencer gives the ring back to Valentin when Laura and Kevin come to get him; he tells Valentin he doesn’t need the luck and says he can see if it still works when he buries him with it.

Bobbie asks about the wedding; Carly tells her Michael brought Nelle.  Sonny comes to visit Jason; tells him they missed him at the wedding, he is happy for Olivia, Ned’s a good guy.  He tells Jason he wants to talk a little business and sits down; Sam hears him over her shoulder… he whispers, “look at that, me and Jason doing business just like old times.”  She gets rattled and tells Jason she has plans and needs him to stay with the kids; she walks out the door.  He is concerned.  Sam goes to see Julian.  She tells him that Sonny claims he is done with the business and going legit; he says he doesn’t care.  She says that he should care, if he wants a relationship with his grandkids.  She tells him she wants to make sure that Jason doesn’t get involved with him again; he tells her the only guaranteed solution is to “get rid of Sonny.”  Sam laughs at her father, saying the only way to deal with Sonny can’t be for him to die; she remembers a prior vision of Sonny practically daring her to try to kill him.  She says, “I need to finish what I started.”  Julian asks if she’s okay; she tells him obviously not, since she came to him for help.

Sonny tells Jason that he wants to open a legit business; completely legitimate, he says, and he needs a partner.  It’s a building that he wants to turn into office spaces to rent out; Jason tells Sonny he can’t risk the appearance that him working with Sonny again would look like a front, and would appear like he is back in the business; he turns down his offer to be his partner.  Jason apologizes to Sonny for turning him down and wishes him luck getting out; he confirms that they are still “okay.”  Sonny says he is going to go talk to Michael to see if he is interested in a joint venture; Jason says that’s a good idea and tells him he thinks they can make it work.  Carly complains to her mother about Michael dating Nelle; Bobbie tells her where there is one secret, there is more.  Carly smiles; Bobbie calls an investigator friend of hers.  Jason goes home and tells Sam that he is not getting into Sonny’s business again; Scout starts to cry and Jason heads upstairs to get her.

Nina comes into her office at Crimson to find Julian sitting there; he compliments her on how well the magazine is doing.  He says he’s back at work.  She tells him he better get busy then because his non-Crimson numbers aren’t doing very good; his investors are going to lose confidence and he’ll be looking at a hostile takeover, she tells him.  He leaves and she sees Valentin, who has just arrived; he wants to advertise his new non-profit, for “washed up race horses that would otherwise be destroyed… the Nina Reeves Horse Rescue.”  Spencer is rude to him at first, but Oscar handles it like a gentleman.  Spencer tells him he is living Hamlet’s story; Jos says he may want to reconsider that since Hamlet kills himself… Spencer says Hamlet did it wrong; he won’t.  Nelle asks Nina if she is happy Valentin is back; she denies any emotion and says she couldn’t care less what he does or doesn’t do.  Nina tells Nelle about the gesture Valentine made, setting up the non-profit; Nelle tells her it is obvious she still loves him.  Nelle asks Nina what it would take for her to take Valentin back again.  She says she would have to know that a future with her and Charlotte is more important to him than the demons of his past.  Oscar and Jos make a pact to try to stop talking so much about their parents; they devise a code word, “fireflies.”  Sonny approaches and asks Jos if he can talk to her; she says no.  He insists, saying it’s good news; Oscar stands up and tells Sonny to leave Jos alone, or, he says, they are going to have a problem.

07-11-2017 (Tuesday) Here's the Deal

Nathan goes to see his mother, who is now in jail; she demands he let her out.  He says he can’t, asking why she didn’t call him.  She claims she is a victim, extenuating circumstances, she says; he says he will see what he can do for her, after he goes over the details of the case.  Elizabeth asks Hayden if it is true that Olbrecht was arrested for tampering with Finn’s drug test; Hayden says she isn’t at liberty to say but shakes her head yes.  Liz says Franco will be bummed; he is friends with Olbrecht.  She says he is in  Manhattan, trying to clear up his assets being frozen pending the lawsuit; he’ s hoping to reclaim a large catalogue of his work and some large bank accounts.  He says Olbrecht has actually been a good friend to him.  They sit down at a table together; Hayden feels a sharp, but dull, pain.  Liz takes her to the hospital.  It turns out to be gas and Hayden is very embarrassed by the whole episode.  Finn comes into the station to see Nathan; Nathan says he wants to discuss the case against his mother.  Finn agrees to “an alternative solution.”  He says she won’t like it though; Nathan says anything is better than prison.  He takes Finn to see his mother; Finn tells her the first condition is that she resign from General Hospital immediately.  He says she also has to publicly admit that she tampered with the records; he says everyone has to know that he was clean, because he doesn’t want his record to reflect badly on the hospital.

Dante tells Lulu that Valentin is out of prison; she asks how, and why.  He says he doesn’t know.  Nina wakes up and hugs him.  She asks what he is doing there.  Anna and Andre run into each other at the Floating Rib; she smiles, and says, “about last night.”  He says, “yes, about that… how do you feel?”  She smiles.  He says he’s glad they stopped; she awkwardly agrees, adding that she wants them to be friends still.  She gets a call from Dante, who tells her about Valentin.  He says an agent took him and threw him in a van, said he thought he was going to be shot; he was told by WSB superiors that they were dropping the charges and he was free to go.  He tells her he is free to be with his wife and daughter; Nina stands up and says he doesn’t have a wife anymore.  He asks her why she is there then.Nathan talks to Nina about his mother.  In her own unique demented way, he says, she loves him; Nina tells him he is a great guy and wants to help everyone, and that’s why everyone loves him.  She tells him she still loves Valentin.  Anna tries to explain to Dante and Lulu that the WSB wants to avoid publicity that would … don’t want to draw attention to a weapon developed in a previous administration, not in line with the bureau’s current goals and methods.   With her sister at large and Helena dead, there are no witnesses, she explains; the rest of the evidence is circumstantial.  Dante and Lulu can’t believe they just let him go; Valentin appears from behind the curtains.  Charlotte runs to him; Lulu covers her mouth.  He tells Charlotte some people made a mistake and they had to make it right, but he never has to go where he was again.  Lulu takes Charlotte to get a drink of juice while Anna and Dante talk to Valentine; Dante asks to see his papers.  He shows them, then tells Dante he is there to collect his daughter.  Dante says that’s not going to happen.

Hayden scoffs at Elizabeth, saying only her dignity is hurting now; Andre congratulates her on the pregnancy.  She tells him she isn’t sure about being a mother; she says she freaked out at the littlest thing… he advises her to lay off the spicy foods for a little while.  She laughs and says she will; then wonders what kind of mom she is going to be.  He says she sounds like a very normal mother to be; nothing more, nothing less.Olbrecht gripes about all she’s done to get where she was.  She says she had everything in order, until he came and messed everything up; he says he came to treat on patient, Tracy Quartermaine.  If she hadn’t tried to interfere he would have done his job and been on his way; he tells her he actually owes her spite and anger the life he has now.  He tells her to write the apology and tender her resignation; she says she’ll never get another job anywhere.  He says that’s what she had planned for him; she says he deserved it.  He chuckles, and suggests she go along with the deal or end up seeing her son from behind Plexiglas in a prison somewhere.  She agrees it may be the best way to go and says she’ll consider it; he tells her he’ll be in touch.  Valentine tells Charlotte to go home with Lulu and says he will talk to her again tomorrow.

Hayden meets Finn at the Floating Rib and asks if she will take the deal; he says he thinks she will.  Nathan talks to his mother, who mocks the deal; he tells her he knows it’s a lot, but it’s better than prison.  He leaves.  She says (to herself) she will be free to go wherever she wants to do whatever she pleases, to whomever she pleases; she says Finn took away the most important thing in her life, so she has to take the most important thing in his life now.  Finn and Hayden are shown, laughing and kissing, at the Floating Rib; haunting music plays.  Nathan tells his sister she has to send him packing every time she sees him or accidentally bumps into him; if not, he says, they both know what will happen.  Valentin asks Anna to join him for a drink; they toast to the bureau , for making the right call.  He tells her she left him vulnerable to Alex, etc., etc., like falling dominos, he says… he wouldn’t have his daughter if it weren’t for her.  He thanks her; she tells him he has a chance now to build a new and better life and tells him not to blow it.  If he does, she says, she will be waiting.

07-10-2017 (Monday) Valentin's Return

Nina mutters to herself that it’s too bad Man Landers is a fraud and fictional, adding, it though it doesn’t mean it’s all wrong.  She pulls out her rings from a box, with the noodle bracelet Charlotte made her.  Dillon gives a nice speech as best man, and introduces the new couple; Ned makes a toast to his new wife, “the second Mrs. Edward Quartermaine.”  Nina wanders into the wedding by mistake; she apologizes, but they invite her to stay.  She gets herself a drink and says hi to Charlotte; Charlotte tells her she misses her dad.  Nelle and Michael come over and say hi to Nina and Charlotte, but get called to the dance floor by Ned and Olivia.  Ned and Olivia thank everybody for coming but say they are ready to go.  Olivia gets ready to throw the bouquet… Charlotte pulls Nelle out onto the floor, with Kiki and Monica.  Kiki catches the bouquet, but quickly passes it off to Charlotte, who smiles.  Nelle goes to return the dress; Michael offers to buy it for her, but she declines.  He unzips her; they start kissing.  They end up making love in the office of Crimson.

Ned carries Olivia over the threshold and tosses her on the bed; they prepare to make love.  Oscar thanks Jos for coming out to meet him; she realizes what time it is.  Sonny tells Carly that the nanny just called him and said she’s at Carly’s house with Avery and nobody is there.  Joslyn knows she’s in trouble.  She makes it back before Sonny and Carly get there, but Carly is still pissed; Joslyn says something must be wrong with her phone, or suggests maybe they get another provider.  Sonny goes to check on Avery; Carly demands to know where Joslyn was earlier.  She tells her mom she just went for a walk, alone, admitting she’s angry about being grounded.  Her mother lectures her, saying what she does affects all of them; Jos says it’s not fair because it should work the other way too.  Sonny comes in and says Jos is right; he says he understands how she feels and admits everything she is saying is true.  He says he will prove it to her in time that he means what he says this time; he says he hates what he does sometimes and all he can do now is make amends.  But, he says, he won’t let her punish her mother for something that was his fault; he thanks her for listening and says his goodbyes.  Carly walks Sonny out; Oscar texts, asking if she’s okay.

Kevin shows up at the wedding and tells Laura that Spencer went missing; he says he heard him saying something about looking for proof.  They leave to go look for him; Nina goes back to Wyndemere, where she recalls memories, and then hears a noise; it’s Spencer.  He tells her he didn’t think anyone would be home; he says she can bear witness to this significant moment.  He thinks he has found a box containing his grandfather’s true Will; just as Nina says she is going to call his grandmother, they hear Laura calling for Spencer.  He tells them he believes Mikos’ accurate and true Will is inside of this box; and once they open it, everything will be restored to its true order.  They give him permission to open it; Laura is surprised Spencer learned how to pick a lock at boarding school.  There is a paper inside; it’s in Greek.  Kevin, with his passing knowledge, looks at the paper and says it is, indeed, the Last Will and Testament of Mikos Cassadine – but it is just a copy of the Will that gives everything to Valentin.  They look no deeper; Spencer quotes a line from the Shakespearian play he was in this Summer – he notes that he played a prince, who’s father was murdered by his uncle, drawing notice to the parallel.

Nina finds an old shirt of Valentin’s and puts it on; she tells Valentin that she misses him so much and lays down on the couch.  Dante gets a phone call; he says that’s not possible.  Laura tells Spencer it’s time to go; he asks for a minute, “to be alone with [his] thoughts.”  He vows, no matter what the law says, to fight for his inheritance and claim what’s his; he tears up the Will and drops the pieces in the water.  Dante tells Lulu, (who is so obviously pregnant now,) that he has some bad news; Nina wakes up to see Valentin standing next to the couch.

07-07-2017 (Friday) Wedding Day Fireworks

The guys all sit around and agree that Olivia should not “know about this” – they look at a newspaper headline of her behind bars.  The girls show up in the room and Olivia tells them about her getting too aggressive with the fireman; they all say it’s news to them.  Monica says cook is all over social media and hasn’t heard a thing; Olivia says oh good, maybe no one else has seen it either.  She wonders where her dress is, saying, it should have been there by now.

Carly is getting ready for the wedding; Sonny is coming to pick her up.  She tells Joslyn she expects her to at least be civil; she goes to find her missing earring and Sonny shows up at the door.  Jos answers it; Sonny apologizes to her for what he did to Jax.  Sonny and Carly are the first to arrive in the chapel.  Oscar texts Jos and asks if she wants to sneak out and meet him somewhere; she goes to see on the footbridge.  Oscar’s cute; he’s happy to see her.  They talk about how beautiful it is up there and then he asks about her and her mom; she says she doesn’t want to talk about her drama and asks about his instead.  He tells her he never knew his dad, and his mom worked all his life; he had no siblings.  She considers herself lucky then, with two dads, one good one bad, plus two brothers… hesitating, corrects herself, “I mean I had two brothers; now I just have one.”  She talks about Morgan and how he taught her to catch lightening bugs in a jar, and how much she misses him.  Then she mentions fighting with her mom; he says all his mom does is tell him what he can’t do, not what he can.

Nina tells Nelle to go home and put on her best dress for the wedding; Nelle tells her she is wearing her best.  Nina offers to put her in some designer samples; she picks out a pretty red dress.  Olivia is freaking out now because her dress has not arrived; Lulu finds out that the truck it was on broke down three hours away.  Monica goes to tell Nina that they have a fashion emergency; Ned comes to see Olivia and tells her that the wedding is off.  He refuses to look at her and tells her she could walk down the isle in a Metro court robe with a pillowcase for a veil and he would still be the happiest man in the universe.  Nina mentions how helping others makes her forget about her own problems; Nathan tells Amy that helping her, helps him too – he says otherwise he’d just be sitting around missing Maxie – Amy complains about being single and Nathan suggests she go out to do something she loves, saying that’s the best place to meet someone who loves what you do.  Nina smiles and says he sounds a lot like Ask Man Landers; Amy smiles.

When Laura shows up, she congratulates Sonny and Carly on being back together.  The rest of the guests start pouring in; the kids come out, Charlotte spreading flowers and Rocco and Leo carrying the rings.  Dante appears in the doorway with his mother on his arm; he says Lulu wasn’t feeling well and went to lie down.  He walks her down the isle in a beautiful strapless gown, where she faces Ned “Edward Lawrence Quartermaine” and tells him he was never the man of her dreams – but better than any man she could have ever dreamed of.   She tells him that she has no doubts, that he has replaced all of her fears with his unwavering love.  For his vows, he says, he has something different in mind; he sings her a song, a beautiful song, I’m sure he wrote for her.  Olivia is overwhelmed; he sings it with such gusto, it almost seems real.  They are pronounced husband and wife; Ned surprises Olivia next with a fireworks display.  The guests all pour out to see it.  Jos and Oscar watch the fireworks; he takes her hand and she smiles.

07-06-2017 (Thursday) Jail Bride

Curtis drops to his knees and asks his auntie what is happening; they call for an ambulance.  Jordan says she thinks she may have had a stroke; Stella opens her eyes.  At the hospital, Griffin tells Curtis Stella did, indeed have a stroke; Jordan asks what kind of damage it may have done.  Griffin says it’s too soon to tell; he says this kind of reaction is common in recurrent patients – Curtis is shocked to learn this isn’t her first stroke.  She tells him it was shortly after his mother died; he can’t believe she never told him.  She says she had it under control for years, adding it was just fine, until she showed up in Port Charles.

Olivia is making sure the guys all have plenty of food; she tells them to take care of Ned on his last night as a bachelor.  They tell her she should have something going on too; she protests, saying she isn’t that kind of girl.  Lulu and Laura show up at her door with pink boas and a bottle of champagne.  She makes excuses, but Ned coaxes her to go with them and they head out the door.  Dillon lights a match, saying he wants a cigar; Ned says it would end with the bride busting their butts and says they’ll have to make do with the cigars unlit.  Dillon says fine, and throws the match in the garbage can, not bothering to make sure it is out; moments later, the fire alarm rings.  Olivia doesn’t want to drink, she says she should be responsible.  Laura tells her she has been responsible her whole life and suggests she take one night off; Olivia says okay.  She sips her drink while Laura goes to make a call.

Jason is looking for Sam; he asks Elizabeth if she has seen her.  Sam tells Sonny she has a gift for him, and stabs him three times in the stomach; she smiles at him after he falls to the floor.  Carly tells Jos that she can’t go live with her dad because he isn’t going to be there for six months, saying he has business to attend to; she tells him she can call her dad to ask him if she wants.  She does.  Elizabeth tells Jason she is sure whatever Sam is going through right now is just exhaustion; she says she’ll be fine.  Sonny takes Sam’s arm, and asks if she’s alright; Sam comes out of her trance – she didn’t really stab him.  He asks her what she needs; she says she thought Jason would still be there.   They go on to discuss Jason not being in the business anymore; she suggests he stay away from their family altogether.  Jason calls; she tells him to meet her at the Metro Court because she hasn’t eaten yet.  She turns, after hanging up, and tells Sonny she is sorry; she says she’s just stressed and asks if he would not say anything to Jason about her visit, at least until she can talk to him first.  He agrees and she leaves.  She tells Jason that she just has an iron deficiency; all she needs is some “vitamins and some sleep.”  (Not true, iron is a mineral, for one thing.)  When Jason tells Sam Sonny is looking for a successor, she imagines Sonny over his shoulder taunting her about who it will be.  Even after he tells her it isn’t him, Sonny tells Sam he is never letting Jason go.

Carly gets an emergency call from work and tells Jos she has to go; she tells Dante and Ned that she can’t believe they brought cigars to her non-smoking hotel.  Jos gets a text from Oscar; he asks if she wants to talk about it.  By the time Laura comes back, fifteen minutes later, Olivia has downed four of the drinks; she tells Laura she wanted some liquid courage.  Laura decides to cancel the second part of the evening’s festivities and gets a room for Olivia to sleep in; Laura tells her it’s okay to be afraid of getting married.  Olivia admits she is terrified; Laura says all she needs to know is that she isn’t willing to spend the rest of her life without Ned.  Olivia tells Laura she is a good friend and slides down the pillow to fall asleep.  Everyone leaves the room, except Ned and Dante; he tells Ned he better not hurt his mother (jokingly, sort of); Ned tells him he would never dream of hurting Olivia and tells Dante what a good guy he is.  Dante returns the favor and welcomes Ned to the family, reaching out and shaking his hand.

A knock at the door wakes Olivia up from her stupor; it’s a fireman, whom she supposes is the stripper.  She starts trying to pull his coat off and pushes him down on the bed; he looks totally confused as she starts jumping up and down.  Next thing we see is Olivia in lock up.  Dante returns with a bottle of brandy; he opens it up and pours a glass for himself, Michael, Dillon and Ned; they toast their lives and family.  Dante gets a call from work; he is told about his mother.  The young officer doesn’t believe she is detective Falconeri’s son because in the slinky slip she’s wearing, with her tiara and pink boa, she looks like a stripper.

Instead of blaming Jordan for causing her stroke, amazingly, Stella thanks Jordan for actually saving her life; Jordan questions Griffin about the possibility that it was she that caused this second stroke.  He says he can’t really say; he tells her though that the possibility of survival goes down with each stroke.  Jordan tells Curtis she is going to let him have some time with his family and says they can meet up later; he thanks her for saving the day.  Oscar tells Jos he is glad she isn’t leaving, saying it would have been boring there without her.  When Carly shows up for the party, Laura tells her Olivia is “down for the count.”  Dante identifies his mom; the officer apologizes, saying she looks young enough to be his sister.  Carly tells Sonny about Jos’ delimma; he says if there is anything he could do, he would do it.  She says if they were all there, they could sit down and figure it out.
