Curtis tells
Valentin the meeting between Nina and her daughter is already set, and
happening as they speak. Nina begins to
ask questions of her daughter; she likes musicals… Nina says Annie is her
favorite. She shows her the half-heart
necklace and asks if she has the other half of it; she doesn’t. Sasha begins to feel uncomfortable when Nina
starts pushing for them to take a trip to London together; she has to go for a
Crimson shoot anyway. Sasha gets up and
starts to leave; Nina begs her not to, asking for one more chance.
As a faithful viewer of General Hospital for thirty+ years, I'm getting concerned for the fate of the show. My other two favorites were cancelled a few years ago; All my Children and One Life to Live, ever-so-briefly revived on the internet, not to yet be seen again, are lost for good it seems. My intention is not only to keep viewers who might have missed out on episodes informed of what is going on, but also to point out the stupidity occasionally written into episodes. Watch out writers!
Thursday, October 11, 2018 (S56E132): It’s a Date
Griffin
and Kiki are jogging in the park; they stop to kiss. Kiki teases him about being slower than him; he says he likes to
see her from behind. Ava is on the park
bench and takes notice. Griffin
mentions that he never went running with Ava, calling it their thing. Ava goes to see Scotty; she whines about how
her daughter and Griffin are just “out and about, loud and proud” flaunting
their relationship in front of her. He
tells her it may be because she made such a big deal out of it in the first
place. Curtis takes Nina to the park to
meet her daughter; Nina is nervous, and asks how she looks. Curtis says she is beautiful and tells her
to relax; time passes, and Nina worries that the girl has decided not to
come. Curtis asks Nina exactly what she
expects to get out of this meeting; Sasha shows up. They seem to really hit it off; Nina invites her out for coffee
“or something stronger.”
Margaux shows Drew proof that she has the flash drive
(something on her phone); she tells him she is keeping it safe. He’s kinda pissed; he asks why she took so
long to tell him about it. She says she
figured they could make a trade; his identify for information. That really upsets him; she tries to say she
really likes him, and he laughs. She
says it’s a fair trade, and it doesn’t need to be uncomfortable.
Felicia is
surprised when Peter comes and thanks Maxie for helping him on the elevator the
other day; she asks Maxie to tell her what’s going on. Maxie says she and Peter have called a
truce; she says he is her friend and they are “working on it.” Felicia is concerned. Laura finds Kevin at Kelley’s; she asks him
why he left so early without waking her up.
He claims he tried to wake her; he says he kissed her on the
forehead. He tells her he woke early
and came to get some work done; she says he should see a doctor… he says he is
a doctor. Lulu is on the phone with
Dante; she gets upset, telling him he has been gone so long. She hangs up the phone on him, saying, “take
all the time you need away from me and your family.” Peter stands in the doorway; he politely suggests they just get
back to work. They talk a little and he
says she must be craving adult interaction; he invites her to lunch.
Felicia and Maxie show up to meet Kevin and
Laura for breakfast; Felicia says she is glad she got to see Laura before she
leaves. Laura asks where she is going;
she says Mac is taking her on a cruise… Kevin says, “no you can’t do
that.” Laura asks why; Kevin says,
“because she’s running away.” He says
she will find herself still haunted by the memories no matter where they go; Maxie
disagrees. She says she is all for it,
calling Ryan a creep and saying he should “fade into obscurity where he
belongs.” She then apologizes to
“Kevin” for talking about his brother that way; he says it’s no problem. Felicia promises him that she will be fine
on this trip; he says okay and then says he has a patient and needs to
leave. Laura follows him from the table
and asks if he’s okay; he says he is fine.
He tells her he will be late tonight; he has to go to Ferncliff… she
says she’ll wait up for him. She goes
back and apologizes to Felicia for Kevin’s behavior. Maxie is astounded when she overhears Peter inviting Lulu out for
lunch and she says, “it sounds like a date.”
Wednesday, October 10, 2018 (S56E): Goodbye Jos
Margaux
tries one more time to press Drew to help her; she tells him that she could
give him all of his memories back… Drew Cane’s memories. He tells her he is tired of her games and he
isn’t going to play anymore; he says that flash drive is long gone by now. She says, “actually, it’s not.” She tells him she has it.Oscar asks Cameron
for his help again; he shows him a text and asks if he can “doctor it.” Cameron says, “yeah, I can.” He asks if Oscar is sure; Oscar says,
“yeah.” While sitting at the library
with Joslyn, Cameron gets a text from Oscar; it’s a picture of him with another
girl. He pretends to try not to show it
to her, but Jos grabs his phone and looks at it; she is obviously hurt. She hands him his phone back and asks him to
leave; he does. Oscar looks at his
phone, almost crying, and tells Jos “goodbye.”
Finn discovers that the infection his father has is a recurring one from
a prior illness, and it isn’t all that uncommon; he tells his father that he is
prescribing an antibiotic and he can return home to see his regular
doctor.
Tuesday, October 9, 2018 (S56E130): Maybe Next Time
After
Sam asked Jason to stay with her, she tells
him that she really isn’t ready to get back together yet, even though
they almost made love earlier this day.
He tells her he understands and, as much as he hates it, he isn’t going
to push her – he says, he isn’t going anywhere. She thanks him; they share a bottle of wine, even though Jason
prefers beer, and sit on the couch together.
Mike tells Sonny that he enjoyed the daycare and is ready to take that
step on a daily basis; Sonny accepts his fathers decision and tells him he is
proud of him. Alexis and Laura meet for
lunch; Alexis tells her she is glad she is home. Lauara tells her she wants to rejoin the hospital board; Alexis
says they will be lucky to have her back.
Laura notices the watch on Alexis arm and is surprised to hear that it
was a gift from Valentin. She tells
Alexis she doesn’t envy her predicament; trying to decide what to keep and what
to reject from her family legacy. She
tells Laura about the watch being frozen on 10:10 when she got it; she tells
her too, that she just got it fixed and it stopped again, at 10:10.
Laura surprises Elizabeth at the hospital;
Liz is thrilled to see her. Joslyn does
her best to plead with Oscar to stop pushing her away; she says she knows he
still cares… he isn’t this cruel, she says.
He tells her he doesn’t love her, never did and never will; she knows he
is lying.
Monday, October 8, 2018 (S56E129): Hello Again
Jordan tells
Margaux that she has some bad news for her; she says she cannot devote any more
time and resources to a murder that may not have even happened in her
jurisdiction. Margaux says she will get
Sonny Corinthos with or without Jordan’s help; she leaves angry. Mike tells Sonny that he only wanted to
protect him, when he was young and didn’t know the cost of power… Sonny says he
knows now. He says Carly told him there
was something Mike wanted to tell him; Mike tells him he wants to go to
daycare. Carly comes out and asks if
Mike told Sonny what he wanted to; Sonny mentions the daycare. She asks Mike if he remembers what else he
wanted to talk about, “nothing to worry about.” Mike laughs; that’s right.
He tells Sonny, “it’s at the bottom of the Hudson river.” He explains; he says he guesses he did one
thing right. Sonny says, “more than
one, dad.” He hugs Mike. The family gathers at Perk’s in memory of
Morgan; they laugh and talk about old times and some of Morgan’s antics. Mike momentarily forgets why they are there,
asking who it is they are celebrating; Carly gently reminds him.
As Jason goes to leave, Sam kisses Jason
goodbye; they begin to kiss passionately, Jason closes the door and carries Sam
to the couch. They are interrupted by
Alexis walking in; Jason excuses himself.
Alexis tells Sam that she thinks she just saved her; Sam is a little
upset. Alexis asks Sam if she and Jason
are back together; she tells her mother her relationship stauts is none of her
business. Jason heads to Morgan’s
memorial celebration.
At Morgan’s graveside, Ava tells her brother she
appreciates all he has done for her; he says the same. She says he is probably the only one; he
asks, “what about Kiki?” Kiki appears
and says she gave up on her mother a long time ago. Kiki reminds her mother why she is angry and accuses her of being
“incapable of love.” She orders her mom
to leave the cemetery; she agrees to go, at Julian’s urging. He tells Kiki to be careful, saying her
mother is hurting and that’s when she is at her most dangerous. Kiki tells Morgan that she finally sees her
mother for who she really is, and apologizes for not seeing it sooner. Avery says she misses Morgan, and everyone
else mentions a memory of him. Mike
says it almost seems like he is right there with them. He apologizes to Sonny if he upset anybody:
Sonny tells him he did nothing wrong.
Nina is anxious; she is waiting for a
call. She tells Lulu about her daughter;
Lulu is happy for her. Nina tells her
how stupid her voicemail probably sounds; Lulu says she understands, and
reminds her of how she and Charlotte first met. Valentin thanks Curtis on the phone, for his help; he drops his
phone behind some pallets on the dock.
He bends down to pick it up; a boot steps on his hand – it’s Laura. She says she likes him on his hands and
knees and claims she didn’t realize she was standing on him. He welcomes her back to town; she tells him
she is back for good. They rehash all
the history between them and Valentin calls them “one big happy dysfunctional
family,” inviting Laura to join them.
She slaps his face. Ava sits
with her brother and watches the Corinthos family celebrate Morgan’s memory,
with her daughter, and fantasizes about ruining Kiki’s happiness. Nina gets the call she’s been waiting for;
as Carly and Sonny lay flowers on Morgan’s grave, telling him they will “never
forget,” Margaux appears and says, “neither will I.” Sam asks Jason to stay the night with her.
Friday, October 5, 2018 (S56E128): A New Plan
Oscar tells his parents he isn’t
going back to school; he says it’s just a waste of the time he has left. Jos calls Cameron; she has a plan to get
Oscar back. She says she is going to
re-inact their anniversary, decorate the bench again and she asks Cameron to
make sure Oscar comes to the park this afternoon. Cameron agrees, but Oscar isn’t being cooperative; in fact, he
blocks Joslyn from posting on his social media page and changes his status to
single. Jos can’t believe it when sees
it; she wonders, “what in the world is going on?” Drew and Kim try to talk to Oscar and tell him it would be best
for him to share this with Joslyn; they encourage him to try to fix things with
her, but he says, “what’s the point?”
He refuses to participate in the clinical trial, saying it’s just going
to prolong the inevitable, if anything at all.
Franco brings Aiden into the hospital; the school nurse said he wasn’t
feeling well. Liz says he doesn’t seem
to have a fever, but takes him to a room to get checked out. Maxie and Peter have a heart to heart
conversation about their relationship; he says he thought it was best for him to
stay away from her… she tells him she doesn’t want to hold on to bitterness
anymore – she’s ready to move forward.
He tells her she is an incredible and compassionate woman.
Kiki and Griffin kiss; they decide that they should be able to do what they feel like doing, since Ava has accused them of being together and written them both off anyway; Kiki suggests they go back to her place, but Griffin says he’d like to take things a little slower, and see if this is something they can make last. Kiki says that sounds good to her. After Danny asks Jason if he still loves his mother, Jason says, “I love mommy very much.” Danny inquires as to whether mommy loves him too; Jason says that’s something you have to ask your mother. Sam brings a snack and tells Danny he has to eat quickly; grandma Monica is coming to pick him and Scout up for the night. Danny tells his dad that the model he bought for him isn’t going together right and he lost the directions; Sam and Jason decide to put it together for him after he leaves… it seems to be a bonding experience, as they discuss how they can do just about anything together when they put their minds to it.

Thursday, October 4, 2018 (S56E127): Some Questions Answered
Danny comes home to
find Jason visiting; he shows his dad a picture book he made about families… it
has drawings of all kinds of different families, some with two mothers, some
with two fathers (like Uncle Lucas and Uncle Brad, he says). Jason loves it. He tells him he did a great job on the book; Danny says, his
teacher told him that families are made up of people who love each other, and
asks, “do you love mommy?” Nina tells
Maxie about her daughter; she shows her picture and the DNA test results. Maxie asks when she is going to meet her;
Nina says that isn’t going to happen.
She says she’s an adult and doesn’t want to disrupt her life at this
point, she says; her adopted mother never told her she was adopted so this
whole thing is a shock to her. Maxie
encourages her to still contact the woman; Peter happens to come into the
office and Nina poses a hypothetical question about a situation similar to
hers; she asks Peter what he thinks this woman should do, whether or not she
should contact the young lady. Peter
says there is no guarantee this child would want to meet her biological mother,
but at least she could tell her how she feels about it, if she were given the
opportunity; Nina thanks him and says she will let her friend know.
Felicia sees
“Kevin" in the hall of the hospital and asks him if they can talk; he
eagerly says yes, and invites her into his office. She tells him that she wants to put the media to rest about the
Ryan Chamberlain murders; he asks what she means. She says she wants to issue a joint press release, telling their
side of the story and letting the media know that they have nothing further to say
about it, so neither of them will be hounded by reporters. To her surprise, he is more than happy to
oblige; he tells her he will see his patients today and page her later. She laughs, asking if they are back in the
1990s; he corrects himself to say, “I’ll text you then.” She leaves, and Ava shows up; she has just
come from Sonny’s house, where Carly refused her request to see Avery. She mentioned her scheduled visitation
tomorrow and Carly tells her it has been cancelled; Carly is astounded when Ava
doesn’t remember that it is the anniversary of Morgan’s death already
again. Carly says Avery will be with
her family tomorrow; Ava tells “Kevin” that she doesn’t know what to do with
all her pent up rage. She asks him for
his advice on how to get over it; he says he sees more fear than rage,
protecting her from something she is feeling deep inside. He asks her what that something might be
that she needs protection from; she tells him about a recurring dream she has –
Avery is all grown up, and watching her… she says she sees her as she really is
(ugly and scarred).
“Kevin” tells her
that isn’t true, she is beautiful; Ava laughs.
She asks how she can go on, living with her daughter and her ex
boyfriend, going on together, unpunished; she is amazed that he doesn’t try to
dissuade her from seeking revenge against her ex and his lover. Griffin finds Kiki in the gym and tries to
make apologies again; she says she doesn’t want him to apologize. She says they were two consenting adults,
they slept together; she wanted it, just like she wants it again now… she steps
closer to him.
Wednesday, October 3, 2018 (S56E126): What’s Going on?
Jos
tells her mom Oscar broke up with her; she says she doesn’t understand
why. There was no fight or anything,
she says; he just broke it off. She
wonders what is going on. Her mom does
her best to console her, but doesn’t know what to tell her. She goes to GH and finds Kim; she asks if
they can talk. Kim says that Oscar is
going through some personal things right now, but that’s all she can say. Carly thanks her anyway. Oscar talks to Cameron and tells him that he
was right; he does have brain cancer.
Cameron says he is sorry to hear that, and asks how Jos took the news;
Oscar says he hasn’t told her, and tells Cameron he better not tell her
either. Oscar finishes his book report
and hands it to Cameron; he tells him to consider it payment for keeping his
mouth shut. Joslyn talks with Cameron
about Oscar breaking up with her; he says he has no idea why he did it, and
calls him a fool for doing so. Joslyn
asks Cameron to help her try to get Oscar back. Oscar tells his father that he needs his help talking to his
mother; he says he doesn’t see the sense in sitting at a desk all day staring
at the clock and he wants to drop out of school. He wants Drew’s support, while telling his mother. Carly warns Jason that even if the D.A. has
no direct evidence against Sonny for the death of her father, she will try to
come after Sonny for anything he has done, or may do in the future. Margaux tries to get Drew to help her come
up with any other dirt on Sonny and crimes he may have committed in the
past.
Tuesday, October 2, 2018 (S56E125): Laura Comes Home
Carly and Jason discuss
Mike’s wishes not to tell Sonny what he remembered about the gun; he says he
wants to tell Sonny himself. Carly asks
what if he forgets in the morning; Jason says then they will have to tell Sonny
themselves. Oscar is still pissed at
his mom for not telling him he was sick two years ago when she found out; he
asks her what the sense in trying a drug trial now is… he says, “the result is
going to be the same; I die.” He goes
to see Joslyn, and asks if they can talk, outside; she asks what’s wrong. He says, “nothing.” She tells him that she knows something is
going on and she wants to know what it is; he tells her he just needs some time
to himself right now… he says he can’t be in a relationship at this time,
that’s all. Joslyn is stunned; he
starts to walk away. She grabs his arm
and he pulls away; he tells her, “just leave me alone” and he leaves. She stands there stunned.Margaux and Jordan
discuss the case of the body in the wall; Jordan says, without solid evidence
they may have to accept that this will go unsolved. Margaux protests; she says they need to try to “flip Sonny’s
right-hand man.” Jordan tells her it
isn’t going to work, and says she thinks Margaux is too close to this
case.
Valentin tells Nina that he found
her daughter; he shows her Sasha’s picture.
She says, “I love you so much… we are still divorced.” He asks her what she wants to do now; she
says she wants to wait for the results of the second test, just to make sure
before she reaches out to her.Chase thanks Lulu for dinner; she tells him Rocco
thinks he is his new best friend. He
says he’s a great kid; Lulu tells him she likes having him around because it
makes her feel closer to Dante, “wherever he may be.” Chase says he feels like he is doing his duty, watching over his
partner’s family while he is gone. Valerie
gets news from Jordan; the results from the detective exam are in… Valerie
passed with flying colors. Jordan
congratulates her, calling her “Detective.”
She says Chase will be her new partner, temporarily, and tells her to
use Dante’s desk for the time being; Lulu is a little upset about Dante’s desk
being used. Chase tells her, “he’ll be
back… this is temporary." She
says, "I know” and leaves.
“Kevin" opens the door, expecting to see
Lucy, and is surprised to see Laura.
She tries to kiss him and he pulls away, asking “you’re back
already?” She says that wasn’t the warm
reception she was expecting; he says she caught him at the end of a trying
day. He seems pleased when she tells
him that she hasn’t even told Lulu she is back; no one else knows she is home. (She may be in danger.) She is a little surprised when Lucy shows up
with a bowl of chicken soup; Lucy is definitely surprised to see Laura. She hands over the soup and says she was
just coming to check on “Doc” but she sees he is in good hands, and she leaves. Laura tells “Kevin” she wants to show him
how much she missed him; he tells her he really is sick… he thinks it might be
the flu. He ends up sleeping in the
guest room, claiming he doesn’t want to get her sick.
Monday, October 1, 2018 (S56E124): Why Are We Here?
Lucy continues harassing Kevin about
letting her take him home and take care of him, even though he insists he is
not sick. Lucy finally breaks “Kevin”
down and he agrees to let her take him home; she says she knew she was going to
win this fight, even if it’s the last thing she ever did… as she walks away
Ryan mumbles, “you don’t know how right you were.” Jason is being interrogated at the PCPD; an associate of Diane’s
is representing him. He calls him
“Sammy.” He tells him he will not be
saying anything; they want this case shelved, and he instructs the man to “do
whatever it takes to shut this case down.”
Mike and Carly are out together at Charlie’s bar. Mike tells Carly he is worried; he says,
Jason should have Diane there. Carly
tells Mike that Jason doesn't even need a lawyer, because "he doesn't talk
to the police.” They see Lulu.
Mike stands up and hugs her; she tells him
he looks great. He asks how his
grandson is; she says Dante is fine, just still away on his mission. He invites her to sit down with them, but
she says she has to go meet Nina. Mike
tells Carly, “she is great” and she agrees, “yeah Lulu is awesome… almost as good
as your memory tonight she says.” He
tells her he feels good tonight, then says this disease is "fickle"
and goes on to tell Carly that’s why he wants to talk to her tonight; he says
Sonny isn’t as rational about making these types of decisions. He doesn’t want another “Avery moment, or
worse" and tells her that they need to do something. It's going to be time, he says, for him to
move soon. He says they could all use a
break; Carly argues they don't need a break.
He says he wants to be prepared for what’s to come; he suggests an adult
day care for now. Carly says they will talk
to Sonny. As Carly gets up to leave,
she hears something familiar. “Kevin”
is sitting at a nearby table, tapping his fingers and and knocking in a rhythm
familiar to her; she gets his attention and asks why he is doing that; she says
he is saying “help me” in Morse code.
He claims he didn’t even realize he was knocking and tapping; he says he
checked it out after she told him about her neighbor at Ferncliff… “it must
have been an unconscious reaction,” he tells her.Lulu does her best to support
Nina's decision to stay away from Valentin; she says it wouldn’t be sending a
good message to Charlotte if she lived with him again…demonstrating that it’s
“okay to stay with someone who hurt you like he did.” They talk about what a strong, smart child they are raising and
compliment each other in the process.
As “Kevin" waits for Lucy to show up, he makes a call to Ferncliff
and instructs them to increase the dosage on his patient’s medication; he says
he knows it will completely incapacitate him, but that’s better than the
psychological torment he is experiencing, believing that he is him. He says it’s the most humane thing they can
do; he sits down and opens a role of thick wire. The assistant tells Jordan that
all he hears are theories and asks what evidence they have; she begins to
explain, then ends up back at theory.
Margaux adds her two cents, and Sammy says that’s why she needs to
recuse herself; he says she is too close to the situation. He says there is no "objectivity and…no
evidence” and says they need to “put this too rest.” Margaux tries to plead to Jason’s compassion, comparing what
happened to her to Sam and his kids; Sammy tells Jordan she needs to “reign in
the D.A.” He threatens a lawsuit, and
Jordan tells Jason he is free to leave.
Curtis gives Valentin the test results; it says there is a 99.9% chance
the young woman they have been investigating is Nina’s daughter. Valentin says he will tell Nina, but he
forbids Curtis from telling Sasha; Curtis asks why… he says he doesn't want her
trying to take advantage of Nina, and says Nina should be able to approach
Sasha herself. Curtis agrees not to
tell her, yet. Lulu tells Nina if she
ever needs to talk, he door is always open; Nina jokes about her working for
the Intruder and she leaves. Valentin
shows up at her office; she asks why he is there again. He says he needs to talk to her about her
child.
“Kevin” hears a knock on the
door and thinks it’s Lucy; he is surprised when he sees Laura standing at the
door. Mike has a moment of clarity and
suddenly remembers where he put the gun; he says on the way to Charlie’s, with
the body that night, he took the gun and threw it into a river along the
way. It’s been sleeping with the fishes
at the bottom of the Hudson for decades, he says.
Friday, September 28, 2017 (S56E124): No Limits to Love
Chase comes to talk to
Anna; he tells her they have a lead on Obrecht’s whereabouts. She thanks him for the message and he leaves. She tells Finn she wants to go; Finn says he
is going with her. She asks him to stay
and keep an eye on her son, threatening to sneak out during the night; Finn
realizes he isn’t going to win this one and kisses her. He goes to work. Chase comes to see him and asks how their dad is doing; Finn says
he is doing everything he can to take care of him. Chase says he’s glad he is the one taking care of him, and thanks
him. He tells his brother Anna is going
after Obrecht; Peter overhears. Finn
lets him know he isn’t happy about her going on his behalf.
Maxie asks Kiki if she would let her do an
article on her for Crimson; Kiki is hesitant.
Maxie tells her she made a bold, inspiring, public choice and asks her
to let Crimson celebrate that with a followup to #Ghtoo. Griffin thinks it’s a great idea; he says
you don’t have to chose between being beautiful and being taken seriously. He
encourages her to do it and says, “you should not hide from how beautiful you
are.” She says she has to get back to
work. Griffin goes to Anna’s; he tells
her he didn’t know where else to go. He
didn’t get reinstated at the hospital, and says after losing his privilege to
participate in sacrament, he feels he has nothing left. She says she is glad he came there. They sit
down to talk; she tells him her mistakes hang over her, as do the crimes she
has committed, but she holds on to the good she has done and the family she
has, that love her. She tells him his
life isn’t over, pointing out that he spent the past year changing his life,
and creating a relationship with Ava albeit. She tells him he can rebuild, and points out her situation with
Finn; she says you shouldn’t set limits on love because they aren’t yours to
set. She tells him he has devoted his
life to serving others and its time he stop and figure out what he needs back
from the world; she tells him to “figure out what you should be running
towards.”
Lulu asks Felicia for an interview; she tells her they can stop at any
time… she knows these are painful memories.
Felicia says, “I am the sole survivor of Ryan Chamberlain’s killing
spree… I have to speak out for those who no longer can.” She says she wants people to know the victims
of Ryan Chamberlain. Ryan, posing as
Kevin, walks through the halls of the hospital with Peter; Maxie sees them and
asks if Peter told him about his panic attack in the elevator and how he will
only use the stairs now. “Kevin” says
no, he didn’t. “Kevin” says he didn’t
know Maxie cared so much about Peter; she says she doesn’t, so much… but she
doesn’t exactly not care either, admitting, “it’s complicated.” Lulu tells Felicia that her story, as Ryan’s
victim, will run word-for-word the way she wants it to; Felicia tells Lulu they
can’t take too long because she is meeting with Mac and Kevin for lunch today,
proclaiming she isn’t Ryan’s victim, because she got away from him. Lucy and Mac sit, talking at a table; she
says she thinks Kevin needs their help right now. She says, “that wife of his” (Mac interrupts, “Laura?”)… Lucy says,
“yes, Laura. She should be here.” She says they have to lift his spirits
because he is obviously beginning to feel the affects of her absence. “Kevin” tells Peter he can’t wait to see
Felicia again. Peter calls Anna, asking
her to “please stay safe.” He sees
Maxie and mentions Anna going after Obrecht; she says Obrecht means well, in
her own way. He tells her that he has
finally realized it is better for her if he just stays out of her life as much
as possible; she says she has heard that before. She finds Lulu and asks if she told Peter to stay away from
her. She says she was just trying to
help, and apologizes. Anna asks Finn
what he said to Peter; he says that’s doctor-client confidentiality. She thanks him for standing by her; he says
the pleasure is all his. They kiss.
Ava
finds Franco at the bar; she has a drink or two and begins to tell him about
her day. She says she went to make
amends and tell Kiki that she means more to her than any man; when she got
there, she says, Kiki was “half-dressed and together with my former boyfriend
who now lives down the hall.” She
scoffs how funny it is that “their one night stand just keeps on going.” Just then, Kiki and Griffin come in the bar;
Franco says, “well isn’t this cozy.”
Ava makes a big deal about their being ‘together’ again, and Kiki tells
Griffin “let’s take a seat – I’m done running from my mother.” Franco tells Ava she should think about this
because she doesn’t really want to hurt her daughter; Ava says whatever
happens, “Kiki asked for it.” Lucy and
“Kevin” and Mac and Felicia enjoy their lunch; Lucy tells “Doc” that she knows
when he is not himself, and insists that he let her help him right now.
Thursday, September 27, 2018 (S56E123): Do You Have a Minute?
Jason finds Oscar on the docks, about to throw his phone into the
water; Jason calls out to him. He
begins a casual conversation about the boats in the water; everybody is worried
about Oscar. Kim calls the police and
Chase comes to take the report; she explains to him what happened. She says she knew he would be angry with her
but she didn’t think he would run away.
They don’t know where he took off to last night; he hasn’t called or
text Joslyn… she can’t believe he would “ghost her.” Cameron tries to tell her it might be “like the last time” but
she’s certain it’s not. She asks what
he mean by Oscar being sick; he says he just meant maybe he was faking sick to
stay home from school. She knows he
knows something, and says the more he stalls the more certain she is of
it.
Oscar asks Jason, “what’s it like
to die?” Jason recounts his near-death
experience; Oscar asks if there was a white light… Jason says, “not for
me.” Oscar asks about the whole life
flashing before your eyes thing… Jason says he can’t remember. Jason sits down by him and tells him his
family needs him; he hears Drew and Kim approaching and hides behind a
wall. They ask Oscar if he will be
okay; he answers, “no… I never will.”
Jason goes to Sam’s and asks if she has a minute. Alexis tells Kristina
she is happy she is back in town, but within minutes she manages to piss
Kristina off, by dis’ing her job at the bar and talking about maximizing her
potential. Sam questions why Kristina
is angrily leaving the room; Alexis tells her she thinks she can do
better. Alexis leaves to talk to Brad;
they meet at Charlie’s. Brad asks her
if she will contact the birth mother to get her medical history and see if she
knows anything about the father’s medical history.
A girl comes in and asks to hand out fliers to a free
concert. Sam talks to her sister;
Kristina says she can’t believe she’s here, alone, again… Sam tells her, “you’re
not alone, you have yourself.” What a
stupid thing to say. Kristina goes to
tell her mom she’s sorry; she bumps into the girl passing out fliers.
Wednesday, September 26, 2018 (S56E121): This is How I’m Going to Get Caught
Jason tells Carly that Sonny was questioned by the
D.A. and the Commissioner tonight; he says the situation is getting worse. He tells her who the man in the wall was,
Scully’s lawyer… Jason tells Carly, the real problem is, “we don’t know where
the gun is.” Then he tells her who
Vincent Marino’s daughter is. Carly
gasps, “Oh my God!” She fears that a
mistake Sonny made when he was 18 is going to come back and destroy everything;
she asks what she should do. Jason
says, “you do nothing.” He says she
will use anyone close to Sonny to get to him.
Julian asks Brad what’s going on; Brad says Lucas is going to find out
the truth about Wiley. He tells Julian
about the baby’s heart condition and says, “this is how I’m going to get
caught.” He says when they call the
birth mother and find out that none of the family has this condition, that’s
going to be it; Julian says, “what if the baby got this from the birth
father?” Brad assumes Julian is going
to try to help them again. Carly tells
Jason it’s been a really weird day; he asks why. She says, “Wiley, Brad and Lucas’ little baby, has the same
condition Michael did when he was born.”
Michael comes into the room and hears his name; he inquires, “what about me when I was a baby?” She tells him and asks, “what are the odds?” Michael says less than 200,000 cases a year; he looked it up for Nelle’s doctor when she was pregnant. Jordan finds Stella at the Metro Court bar; she invites her to sit down. Jordan thanks her for making time to talk to her tonight; they each apologize for things they have said to each other, and Jordan says she would like to “forge a new relationship.” But Stella says she can’t forget that Jordan is the reason her son is dead. Curtis says there are no results yet from the DNA test, but it won’t be long before they know if Ms. Gilmore is Nina’s daughter. Nina is out with Charlotte; Charlotte thanks her for spending the day with her… then asks if it’s the last time they will get to do this. Curtis tells Valentin that Nina needs to know about this investigation; Julian says, if Ms. Gilmore is a match, he is going to tell her. Curtis says, “if she isn’t, I’m out.” Valentin asks why… he says he doesn’t like him trying to control Nina, orchestrate a reunion, so she’ll come running back to him. He says, “you need to tell her now.” Curtis shows up at the Metro Court and finds Stella upset and wanting to leave; he asks Jordan what happened. She says, “same song, second verse.” She said when she brought up the wedding, Stella said she can’t come; she says that she had hoped for a reconciliation, “but this is a train wreck.” She asks Curtis if he is going to be able to live with his aunt shunning them because of her for the rest of their lives.
Charlotte says she is lonely at home…she wishes Nina and her father had a baby together. Nina quickly changes the subject; she tells Charlotte she has really good taste in clothes and an eye for fashion. Kim tells Oscar the symptoms he has been experiencing are going to get worse; he asks how much worse. He asks if he is dying, and his mother says, “I didn’t want you to find out like this.” She says it could be fatal, indeed. Drew says that’s why they are talking to the doctor about these clinical trials; Kim asks, “who told you?” Oscar gets angry that she cares how he found out; he says, “I’m worried about how I am going to live.” Kim tells him they are signing him up for this clinical trial; he says it’s good they caught it sooner, rather than later. Then he thinks… and asks if they just discovered this when Jason brought him in last week; she looks down at the floor. He asks, “how long have you known that I have cancer?” He is livid when he realizes how long his mother has hidden this from him; he yells at her, asks how dare she, says he had the right to know – he says, “you couldn’t faced the truth, so you kept it from me.” He then asks, “how long did you know, dad?” Drew tells him they were going to tell them after his birthday; he says, “happy birthday to me” and laughs. Kim asks him if he wants to know everything now.
Michael comes into the room and hears his name; he inquires, “what about me when I was a baby?” She tells him and asks, “what are the odds?” Michael says less than 200,000 cases a year; he looked it up for Nelle’s doctor when she was pregnant. Kim asks him if he wants to know everything now.
Tuesday, September 25, 2018 (S56E120): Just Say It
Margaux reveals to Sonny that
Vincent Marino was her father; Sonny offers his condolences. She says he used to work for a man named
Scully; he walked out when she was 2 years old, and now she knows why. He disappeared and just never came
back. Sonny denies knowing a man named
Scully; Margaux asks if he is sure, continuing on with the history of this man
Scully and his father. She asks if he
sees how it all connects. Jason
questions why Sam wants him to make peace with Drew; she says, simply, because
he’s your brother. He says they can
barely stand to be in the same room together, but she says he is dealing with
something; he asks if it affects anyone else he loves… she says yes. She tells him they only thing he can do,
though, “is be present, especially for Monica.” She tells him it could get a little uncomfortable, but he just
needs to be patient; he says he will do his best. She kisses him and leaves.
Kim tells Drew she “had a plan” and now
she doesn’t know what to do; he tells her Oscar deserves to know he has cancer
and he should hear it from both of them.
Dr. Randolf comes in to talk to Kim and Drew; she tells them they have
some decisions to make about Oscar. She
says he may be a candidate for a clinical trial, but he would have to know he
is sick to be enrolled.Franco runs into Carly at the hospital; he jokes about
Cameron and Jos getting caught shoplifting.
He says Elizabeth told him; she gets angry. He laughs and says he thought they were good, since he helped
rescue her from the mental hospital.
She says not if his fiancé keeps making digs about her daughter; she
says maybe Jos isn’t the bad influence on Cameron – maybe it’s the other way
around. Oscar tells Cameron he has no
idea what he is talking about; he says, “I don’t have cancer… I’m fine.” He says he just has hypoglycemia. Cameron apologizes, but says, “it just all
fit.” Oscar says he would know if he
had brain cancer; “my parents would tell me,” he says. He tells Carly he has to bail. Cameron tells Jos that he needs go too; she
asks her mother to explain boys to her because she just doesn’t get them.
Mike
comes downstairs and tells Jason that something is wrong; he says, he doesn’t
know what he did, but he knows he has done something wrong and it could affect
his son. Margaux goes on to tell Sonny
about another murder tied to Scully and insinuates that he is protecting his father;
she says she is going to get justice for her father, no matter how long it
takes. Jordan asks Margaux, after Sonny
leaves, why she didn’t disclose to her that the victim was her father. She apologizes and says it just became more
real when she said it out loud. Jordan
tells her to take some time off to deal with this, maybe get counseling;
Margaux gets angry and says all she needs to get the son-of-a-bitch that killed
her father.Mike asks Jason what he would do for his sons; he says he would do
anything. Mike sits down and shakes his
head; he says, “some mistakes you just can’t take back.” When Sonny gets back, he tells his dad he
needs to know everything he knows about that body. He recalls a night, says Charlie DeLaney owed him a favor; he was
expanding his club, about the pour the foundation, so he let him bring the body
and they put it under three feet of concrete.
Sonny asks what he did with the gun; suddenly Mike does not know what
they are talking about, and he is lost in time again. Sonny explains to Jason that Vincent Marino was Scully’s lawyer…
and Margaux Dawson’s father. He says,
“this D.A. is not going to stop until she takes me down.” As Kim and Drew talk with the doctor about
the clinical trial, and decide that they should take the opportunity to enroll
Oscar, Oscar bursts in the door; he asks his mother if it is true that he has
cancer. They don’t answer; the doctor
excuses herself. He asks the doctor if
she is an oncologist; Drew tells him they will answer his questions. He tells them to “quit pretending and just say
it.” Kim tells him, “honey, you have
cancer.”
Friday, September 21, 2018 (S56E119): Quality of Life over Quantity
Cameron has flashbacks
of Oscar kissing Joslyn and Franco on the phone talking about Oscar’s brain
tumor; he sees Jos and Oscar in the mall, and decides to tell Jos that Oscar
“may not have a later. Drew talks with
Franco; he tells him about Oscar’s illness and the fact that Oscar doesn’t know
– he says he doesn’t know if he has a right to intervene since he’s only known
him a year. Franco says that’s makes no
difference; he loves the kid, that’s all that matters, Franco adds. Drew says he doesn’t know how to tell him he
is dying though. Franco says there is
some comfort in ignorance; he imagines how their lives would be if they didn’t
know half the stuff they do about their pasts.
“Sometimes the truth sucks,” he says.
He tells Drew to consider if he were in Oscar’s position, if he would
want to know the truth. Liz asks Kim in
they can talk; they laugh about the boys’ altercation. They talk about them working together at the
community center; Liz asks, “what can go wrong?” Elizabeth admits to Kim that she had to tell Franco; Kim worries
that too many people are finding out.
She tells Liz that she had to prioritize quality of life over quantity
for Oscar. Drew tells Franco that Oscar
wants to climb Mt. Kilamanjaro; Franco laughs, “better him than me.” Oscar and Cameron have a small confrontation
at the Center; when Jos leaves the room, Oscar asks Cameron, if they can’t
actually get along, could they at least pretend for her sake. Cameron calls him a liar, and says unless he
is going to come clean with Joslyn any time soon, “hard pass.” Oscar asks what he’s talking about and why
he’s being such an ass; Cameron tells Oscar he should tell Joslyn that he has
cancer.
Drew tells Kim he wants to look into drug trials; she shows him file after file, saying, “for every one that makes it, there are a hundred that don’t.” Drew says one out of a hundred is better than nothing. He tells Kim that he has decided Oscar has to know and he’d like for them both to tell him; he says if she doesn’t want to be there with him, he will tell him alone.Sam is sitting at the bar, when Margaux walks in and sits beside her; she notices the thick file in her hands… it is on Sonny. Margaux says “the D.A.’s job is never done.” Sam tells Sonny and Jason that D.A. Dawson made it very clear to her that she is “gunning” for them both. She fears they “won’t be the only ones to pay the price.” Chase brings Jordan the lab results on the man’s identification. Jordan and Marguax review the evidence; Jordan says they are still compiling data because not everything is digitized. She says the guy’s name was Vincent Marino, and asks Margaux if that name rings any bells with her; she looks like it does. They discuss all people connected with Marino; the name DeLaney comes up. Jordan mentions Sonny’s father being there the night of the explosion. They deduce the possibilities; Jordan says they can make up all the stories they want, though, and it won’t get them any closer to the truth. She calls Sonny and asks him to come into her office. Jason wants to go with him, but Sonny tells him to stay and “hold down the fort.”
Sam asks Jason if he would make some plans to spend time with Danny; she says everything can change in an instant. She also says, if there is a way to make peace with Drew, he should try; he is confused and asks what she is trying to tell him.Anna and Finn are out at the bar; Chase shows up. He is surprised when his dad walks in; Finn calls it an ambush. Chase says it isn’t; he had no idea his dad was coming. The father swears it was not a set up, he says, he is staying at the Metro Court. He admits, however that it is not entirely a social visit. He tells them he is sick; Chase is concerned. He mentions having a fever, aches and a rash; Anna gets concerned, saying that indicates that something is wrong. He says that’s why his wife made him seek out the best infectious disease specialist in the country; he looks at Finn. Finn says there could be some ethical issues because of their past history; Chase tells Finn he needs to help their father.
Thursday, September 20, 2018 (S56E118): The Man in the Wall
Ava tells Julian she is
still angry with Kiki and Griffin; he asks her what if it really was just a
mistake – a one-night stand. She says,
“what, like she just accidentally slept with him?” Julian laughs and reminds her that she has been “accident-prone”
a few times herself. He compares the
number of times she slept with Morgan, while Kiki was with him and says Kiki
has been there for her, despite that.
Griffin is visiting Kiki; it is hot, because the radiator has gone out
in the building. Kiki suggests they go
to a movie together; Griffin says he’s never been before. Ava shows up to tell Kiki she is sorry, then
gets pissy when she sees Griffin there.
Kiki tells Griffin her mother only believes in forgiveness when it comes
to herself; Griffin tells Ava he is sorry he isn’t wallowing in the gutter like
she wishes he were. She gets ugly and
Kiki tells her to “get out.” Jason goes
to talk to Julian; he tells him he better not threaten Sonny’s father
again.
Mike tells Stella that he wants
her help picking out a place to live; he says he wants to protect his family
from what is happening to him. He says
he is losing more and more time lately, so its time. He thanks her for being his voice; she tells him it is her honor
to be his friend. He says the honor is
all his, and he asks her to remember how much he wants to remember her when he
is no longer able. Monica tells Brad
and Lucas that there are some preliminary markers in the baby’s blood work that
indicate there could be a heart defect.
Brad starts to freak out.
Michael visits with Maxie and holds baby James; she tells him she sees
Nathan’s face every day when she looks at the little guy. She says she can look into his eyes, and for
a second, she has “both” her guys; she calls him magic. Carly tells Brad that its okay if he needs
to scream or cry while Lucas is gone from the room with the baby; she says,
it’s only when every one is present that they have to hold themselves
together. He admits how scared he is,
but of course, doesn’t fully explain why.
Monica explains to Carly that this is the same condition that Michael
had when he was born, but she says, she doesn’t think it is going to require
surgery; she thinks it will probably go away by itself. Lucas starts to worry about what else the
birth mother didn’t tell them; what don’t they know about their baby, he
wonders. Brad gets nervous when Carly
suggests they contact the birth mother; he says they can’t, “it’s against the
law.”Michael tells Maxie he would be happy to baby-sit any time, he says
holding him helps him to think about how Jonah would have been if he had
lived. Jordan comes to talk to Sonny;
she tells him that the gun they found in the wall with the skeleton at
Charlie’s was traced back to Brooklyn.
She also tells him that they know Mike was living in Brooklyn at that
time; she wants to ask some more questions.
Jordan gets a call; forensics has identified the man who was found in
the wall.
Wednesday, September 19, 2018 (S56E117): Hello Griffin
Kiki is happy to see Griffin
at the hospital; he is all dressed up in a suit. She asks if he is back; he says no… he had a meeting with the
review board. He says someone just
ripped away the last thing he had left in this world; Kiki looks
concerned. He’s been barred from
receiving sacraments at Mass; he can still go, but he can’t participate in the
rituals… Kiki asks why. He says he isn’t
really still supposed to be living in a community where they know him as a priest. She asks how they found out; he says someone
called the Monsignor and reported him.
Kiki thinks she knows who that someone is. She tells him she is sure it’s her mother and apologizes; he
tells her not to put this on herself.
He says she cannot take his faith; he can perform rituals on his
own. Kiki says she won’t get away with
this.
Maxie runs into Nina; Nina says she wants to know what
happened in that elevator with Peter.
Lulu tells Peter this story needs to be considerate, and not something like
the Invader would have run before; she says what happened, happened in our
community. He says he will reach out to
the public and let them know they will be approaching this topic thoughtfully;
Lulu thinks he may have ulterior motives when he wants to meet with Maxie’s
mother. He denies it; still she says
the last thing Maxie’s family needs is him barging in on it, especially with
things as confusing as they are – he questions how things are confusing. She says Maxie is just starting to climb out
of the hole he helped her make, and if he cares about her, he will stay as far
away from her as possible.
Curtis meets with Julian; he tells him that there is
a superficial resemblance between Nina and this Sasha Gilmore. He says she has agreed to cooperate with
their investigation. Ava offers to help
Julian with his renovations; her first suggestion is to do something with his
clientele (as she shrugs her head toward Nina and Maxie. Nina asks Maxie if she is clear about her
feelings for Peter; Maxie says her feelings for him are complicated. He was there for her after Nathan’s death…
just there, with no expectations; she says he was kind and generous and she
came to rely on him. The truth
devastated her, and she admits that she is angry because of it, but says, “he
was just trying to escape his father.”
Nina says she understands; …
Julian tells Ava that he is proudly no longer serving Corinthos coffee;
Ava says Sonny can’t be happy about that.
She asks why he is being so understanding; Julian hesitates to
answer. Alexis walks in and says she
would also like to know the answer to that question. She then asks Julian if he had anything to do with the body found
in the basement; he laughs, saying it was a skeleton, which had been there for
decades. She then tells him she doesn’t
like the idea of her daughter working there, not to mention that she was there
during the explosion.
Carly hears Michael on the phone and asks if he is moving
to Chicago; he says no, he is sending one of his VP’s to open the office. She sighs with relief; he asks why. She worries about the letter from Nelle, she
tells him; he says Nelle can’t affect him anymore. He says he isn’t okay, and doesn’t know when he will be, but he
needs to deal with his grief his own way, in his own time. She asks if he is seeing someone, like Dr.
Collins; he says he doesn’t need to.
She tells him then he needs to lean on his family. Lucas arrives with little “Wiley.”
Tuesday, September 18, 2018 (S56E116): Lucy is Back In Town
Maxie
tells Lulu about being stuck on the elevator with Peter; she says being alone
would have been better. She tells Lulu
about Peter freaking out; she says he got all hot and pulled off his shirt… and
comments how “his abs have abs.” Lulu
looks shocked; Maxie blows it off and says she just wanted to get off the
elevator. Lulu doesn’t buy it. “Kevin”
gets a visitor; he asks if the reservation is ready and thanks them for coming
on such short notice. Lucy says, “oh
Doc, you know I would do anything for you.”
She tells him she is sorry he is alone right now, with Laura in France;
Maxie and Lulu question whether Lucy would “do something like that” to Laura.Sam
finds Oscar at the house when she comes to pick up Danny and Scout; she tells
him that Danny recently asked for a pig.
Oscar says that’s awesome; he tells her he is totally doing that when he
gets older. Drew agrees to wait until
after Oscar’s next birthday to tell him about his malignant tumor; Kim thanks
him, saying he deserves to blow out his candles without that looming over
him. Sam tells Oscar they should hang
out sometime and take Scout and Danny to the park; Oscar tells Sam they could
feed the ducks, then maybe go for ice cream; she says that’s Scout’s favorite
thing to do. Sam tells Drew if he needs
someone to lean on, he can always lean on her; he tells her he is sorry but he
cannot. She asks why; he says when they
are together, he wants what they had and it’s just too hard on him… he says he
has to go through this alone. She says
okay.
Elizabeth warns Cameron that he better not get in another fight with
Oscar; her he isn’t as fragile as she thinks he is. She looks at Franco, who now also knows about the brain tumor,
then back at Cameron.Curtis meets with a Ms. Gilmore; he tells her he needs to
talk to her about her mother. She looks
something like Nina; Nina asks Anna about Cassandra. She asks if she thinks she is in danger, as Valentin is trying to
tell her she is; Anna hesitates to answer.
Nina tells Anna what she did to Cassandra was self-defense; she fears
Cassandra could turn her in, or worse, retaliate. Anna says she can’t make any promises. Julian finds Kim looking glum; he asks her what’s wrong; she says
she’s okay. He tells her he bought
tickets to Hamilton, because he thought Oscar would like it; he wants to take
them both. She asks when; he says it’s
next April 17th – she says that’s so far away; he asks if he is
being too optimistic… she says she just wants to focus on the here and now.
Monday, September 17, 2018 (S56E115): Who are You?
Cameron complains to Liz about
being at the hospital; she reminds him he is still grounded. She notices the cut above his eye and asks
him what happened; Oscar reveals, unwittingly, that he got into a fight with
Cameron. Cameron tries to tell his mom
that he tripped over a rock while messing around with his friend Tanner; Kim
calls Liz and tells her the truth.
Elizabeth grounds Cameron; Drew tells Kim that they need to stop
protecting Oscar. He says he wants to
tell him he is sick. Jos tells Oscar he
has nothing to worry about and says they could fight all day, every day and it
wouldn’t make a difference; she does have a mind of her own, she reminds
him.Kevin is on the phone; he says he has a very special guess coming to see
him tonight. Franco comes in and tells
him he has figured out what he is up to, calling him “doctor”
sarcastically. He says he knows his
generous wedding gift of unlimited therapy was just his way of getting him in
there for more information on his study; he asks if Kevin thinks he will ever
really have a place in a family like Elizabeth’s.
Franco is shocked by “Kevin’s” response when he asks if his past will ever stop haunting him; he asks “who are you and what have you done with Dr. Collins?” “Kevin” quickly recovers, explaining that he just meant it is always with you and you have to learn how to move forward with it. Franco understands what he means and reinterprets it; “Kevin” asks who the therapist here is. He encourages Franco to come back soon, saying, “there is so much more to explore.” Just after Drew tells Kim that too many people already know now, Franco admits to Liz that he saw her and Drew hugging the other day and felt some feelings of inadequacy. She thanks him for sharing his feelings, but says the hug had nothing to do with them or Drew’s relationship with Jake; Franco asks what it had to do with then.Robyn goes to see Jason; he is happy to see her. He asks how she and her mom are doing; she calls it a “work in progress.” She asks Jason how he feels about Peter just being out there free, after stealing five years of his life. He denies being upset about it; they reminisce about old times and reaffirm their commitment to friendship.Sonny tells Margaux that his father is in no condition to be questioned because it upsets him; she doesn’t care, and continues to ask about the body that has been stashed underneath Charlie’s for decades.
Mike says he doesn’t mind explaining why he was there that night; he goes on to say that he goes there every night because it’s a cool place to hang out. He says he thought he might talk to the owner about getting his daughter a job; they think he means Kristina, but he laughs, “no she’s still in diapers.” When Margaux tells him that his daughter has been dead for over twenty-one years, Mike screams, “what?!” He asks how they dare say something like that; they leave. Mike, sitting on the couch with his head in his hands, bursts out laughing as they close the door; Sonny looks confused. Mike asks, “was I good, or was I good?” He tells Sonny that he isn’t having that many good days anymore, so when the good ones come, he wants to make them count; he says he made the whole thing worse and he intends to fix it.
Friday, September 14, 2018 (S56E114): Happy Birthday
It’s Drew and Jason’s birthday; Drew tells Curtis that he went
downstairs for a midnight snack and saw a three-layer cake. He says he just isn’t really in the mood to
celebrate; Curtis pays for the drinks and leaves him. Curtis goes to meet with Valentin; he questions his motives for
finding Nina’s daughter. Nina meets
with a jeweler to try to find out more about her half-heart necklace; he tells
her it appears to have been one solid piece, which was divided for whatever
reason. As Curtis and Valentin talk,
Nina walks in; she asks what she should be told. They fumble for words, and she says, “never mind, it doesn’t
matter.” She tells Curtis that she
thinks she is being followed; she shows him a man sitting at a table. Curtis decides to talk to the man; he grabs
him and slams him up against the bar.
He pulls out his wallet and tells Nina the guy is a bodyguard; Valentin
steps up and tells her that he hired him.
Nina gets pissed and tells him, if she wants a guard she will hire one;
Curtis comes back in and Nina says, “here he is.”Carly tells Sonny that they
have to seriously consider how things are adding up; even though Mike is ready
to move, Sonny isn’t really ready to let him go. She tells him he needs to honor his dad’s wishes; Mike, listening
at the doorway, steps in and tells Sonny, “it’s time.” He tells Sonny he needs his support; he
says, “it’s gonna happen one way or another.”
Sonny cries; he tells his dad he doesn’t want him to go.
Margaux discusses the case with Jordan (now played by a different actress); they have discovered how old the skeleton is, and they realize the body pre-dates Sonny’s arrival in Port Charles by at least a decade. Margaux says she may know who they need to talk to. They go to talk to Sonny’s father; Mike looks worried.Sam shows up for Drew’s party; she tells Kim that Drew told her about Oscar’s prognosis. She says she is so sorry; Kim seems upset that Drew told her… she says, “this isn’t any of your business.” Drew shows up; Kim tells Drew she is upset. She says, “the more people that know, the greater the chance that Oscar will find out from someone else.” Drew says they can solve that, by telling him. Sam comes in and tells Kim that it looks like Oscar got into a fight. Drew tells Oscar he taught him to defend himself, not to throw a punch when someone pisses him off. Kim chews him out, reminding him that he just got out of the hospital. Monica is shocked to hear that he was in the hospital; they say it was just because he forgot to eat and fainted.Maxie and Peter get stuck on an elevator together; Peter starts to freak out. Maxie asks if his being tied to a bed and held captive might have anything to do with it. She tells him they are working on it; it should be less than an hour. He gets hot and pulls his shirt off; Peter is thankful when the doors open. Nina gets the wrong idea, since Maxie is laughing when they step out; she excuses herself, and Maxie runs after her.

Thursday, September 13, 2018 (S56E113): Brother and Sister Meet
Peter tells Lulu he wants her to write the Ryan Chamberlain
anniversary story; she is hesitant to take the job. She says she wants to talk to some people first; she says he
should probably find another reporter. He tells her she is the only reporter he
wants on this job; he tells her she can write it her way, and says he doesn’t
want to exploit anyone’s pain. Ryan
practices his imitation of Kevin, as he sits as Kevin’s desk, staring at a
picture of Felicia. Laura calls; Ryan
is thrown off at first, but manages to convince her he is Kevin and is fine,
just busy. He says he’ll be back to his
“usual self” by tomorrow. Lulu comes to
visit; she tells him (thinking he is Kevin) about the new edition of the
Invader, marking the 25th anniversary of the Ryan Chamberlain crime
spree, calling Ryan a “Port Charles legend.”
She says she knows no one will be happy about them dragging up that
time; she says the article is going to run no matter what, and she feels it is
better in her hands than a stranger’s.
She is surprised about how okay Kevin is with his brother’s case being
re-hashed in the media; he says, “…my brother is a fascinating case study;
medical science will never truly understand the inner workings of a mind like
Ryan’s until they are no longer afraid to bring him out of the darkness and
into the light.
”Maxie and Robyn talk about siblings, as they play with baby James; Maxie asks how she feels about Peter. She says she wasn’t sure how to feel at first, and felt a mixture of emotions; she is here now to figure out if she wants Peter in her life. Her mother listens. When Anna comes out with tea, Robyn says she has to go, and leaves Anna and Maxie to talk; Maxie tells Anna that Peter saved her after Nathan died. Anna tells Maxie that they are family after all of this; she says, however, that she would understand if Maxie never wanted to see her after it all. Maxie says she understands everything Anna did and does not feel that she dishonored her grief. She tells her she could never imagine being separated from her son; Anna says she felt she had to give him up, but later felt it was wrong. Maxie reminds Anna she is her godmother; she says she will always be part of her life, but she isn’t sure how she feels about Peter. Robyn comes home and tells her mom she still isn’t sure about Peter either; she says they each have to accept that their relationships with Peter are out of each other’s control.
As Maxie leaves, she grabs food at the Metro Court and quickly jumps in an elevator; she looks up to see that Peter is in there.Margaux says she needs to get to know the original owner, Charlie DeLaney, better. She starts to study the file. She gets word that the medical examiner has determined the cause of death; multiple gunshot wounds. She asks if they found a gun and is told they are “still looking.” Jason tells Sonny he is worried; he says maybe Sonny should leave. He tells Jason nothing will make him leave his family; he says he will “stay and face it.”Julian warns Sonny that the police have taken everything they found in his basement into evidence; he says he wasn’t going to stand in the way of justice. He then tells him he is going forward with his renovations, getting a different coffee distributor, and gloats about having hired Kristina. Sam asks Kristina why she wants to work for Julian; she swears it was just a job, no ulterior motive. Sam tells her it’s the best way to start a fight with her parents. She asks Kristina, again, about her true motives for taking this job. Julian tests Kristina’s drinks and makes her hiring official; Sam says she supports her sister, but won’t be the one to tell Carly and Sonny it’s a good thing she is working there. She that is up to Kristina; Kristina smiles. Sam tells her father she is going to keep an eye on Kristina, and adds that “this better remain a family friendly place.”

Wednesday, September 12, 2018 (S56E112): The Good Doctor
Robert comes to Anna’s to
tell her that Cassandra has been gone for three days and they still don’t know
where she is or who took her; he refers to Finn as “the good doctor,” blaming
him for all this trouble. Finn comes
down the stairs, looking for his sock.
Robyn shows up at the door; Robert hugs her and asks how the Emma and
Noah are. She says they are great; she
tells her mom she has been at a medical conference in Vienna and thought she
would stop and check in on them. She
asks Finn how he is, and tells him to stick around; he says he thinks he
will. Robert asks Robyn if she is
heading out soon; she says she is actually staying for a little while, to take
care of “some unfinished business.” He
says he has to go. Anna asks what this
unfinished business is; she says they needed to talk. Anna apologizes for not having told her about her half-brother
(Peter) earlier; Robyn says that she realizes that there really was no good
time to tell her, and says, “it was your secret to keep.”
Finn sees Chase at the hospital; Chase tells him about the bones he found. Finn offers to talk with him about it, over a cup of coffee; Chase asks if he is sure… Finn says he just wants to have a cup of coffee with his damn brother. Chase reminds him that they are half-brothers; Finn says fine, they’ll have a half cup of damn coffee. They run into Robert; he tells them he is re-opening the investigation into Cassandra’s whereabouts. Finn tells him he can give him a list of the medications she would be taking, which are pretty hard to find. Anna invites Robyn to stay with her; Robyn says that’s good because she didn’t make a reservation.Sonny and Carly talk about what happened last night; he tells Carly Mike blew up Charlie’s to try to cover up what he did. As they are talking, Mike comes into the kitchen. Carly tells him he looks terrible; he says he feels the same way. He apologizes for making things worse, saying he was trying to make them better. Ava comes into Charlie’s and asks Julian what happened; he says it was “just another day at the office.” Chase comes up and says he is done gathering evidence and tells Julian to remember, “it is still a crime scene.” He starts questioning Julian about the “human remains” he found in the basement; Julian swears he didn’t know that there was a body in his basement. Mike tells Carly he wants to look at the brochures; he is ready to move, “to do right by his family.” Sonny gets a visit from Julian; he tells Sonny he knows that he wanted what was buried beneath his pub.
Elizabeth encourages Cameron to invite Oscar over after school, to study; Cameron questions why the sudden push for him to be “besties with Oscar.” She says she isn’t; she just thought he liked him because they were hanging out together on July 4th. Cameron says that was only because of Joslyn; he leaves for school. Kim comes by; Franco stands up and tells her they can go ahead and talk, because he and Elizabeth “tell each other everything.” Liz tells him, they need to talk about a patient; he says okay, he has a patient of his own to check on. Kim verifies that Liz didn’t tell Franco; she says the more people know about Oscar’s illness, the more likely he is to find out about it. Drew walks Oscar to school; Oscar tells him he likes it, and says they may not be able to do it much longer… “there is no future to look forward to.” Drew asks why; Oscar says there is an astroid coming that just might hit them – he thinks he might make a good news story and asks Drew if they could go to Tanzania for a better view of it. Drew says sure, struggling to hold back the tears. Kim tells Liz that she finally told Drew about Oscar’s illness. Franco runs into Drew; he can tell he isn’t feeling happy. He asks what’s wrong, but Drew doesn’t want to tell him; he tells Drew he is there, if he ever wants to talk. Oscar and Cameron start fighting over Joslyn; Oscar pushes him. Cameron comes back, shoving him; Oscar punches him in the eye. Later, we see them sitting on the curb, laughing about it; Cameron says he is going to tell everyone that he tripped over the bench and fell on his face.

Tuesday,September 11, 2018 (S56E111): What Did I Do?
Drew
talks to Sam about Oscar; he says he doesn’t know how to keep this secret from
him. He thinks he should have a choice
to live his life a little bit different, if he wants to; Sam encourages him to
just “find a moment of connection” with him, instead of focusing on the big,
scary picture. She says he and Kim will
figure out how and when to tell him; she hugs him and tells him he will be
okay. Alexis comes to the door; she
tells Drew it’s good to see him, as he leaves.
Alexis asks Sam about Kristina, in an attempt to “not be hovering.” She says she fears that she is on a downward
spiral; Sam says she is “good.” She
admits she is struggling, but says she gives her credit for having the courage
to say she wasn’t happy. She tells her
mother, she needs to let Kristina move at her own pace, and offers to be her
mother’s venting board. Alexis says she
may regret that.
As the firetrucks arrive, Sonny tries to calm Mike down. Kristina tells Jason to “get the
wrench.” The explosion occurs; Mike
screams, “what have I done?~!”
Jason
comes out and Mike breaks down, crying; the firemen tell Julian that the damage
was contained to the basement, and asks if he has any idea how the fire
started. Jason tells Mike to “stay
quiet.” He says he will take him to see
Kristina in the hospital; Alexis gets the call that Kristina has been in an
explosion and rushes to the hospital herself.
Kristina tells her she ran back in for her phone. The police interview Julian; he tells them
what he knows. Chase is surprised to
hear that Mike came to the bar on his own.
Julian recalls Mike’s reaction and appears to suspect, but tells Chase
he has no idea how this happened. Mike
tells Kristina that she is much like her father’s mother; Jason questions Mike
about why he left the hospital earlier.
He says there was something he HAD to do, but he can’t even remember
what it was now. One detective tells
Chase that the pipe appears to have been deliberately broken, 100%; Chase
declares the Charlie’s Pub a crime scene.
Kristina is discharged; Alexis texts Julian a thank you for calling
her. Sonny wakes Mike up from a nap,
and Mike asks, “what did I do?” Sam
sees Jason at the hospital; she stayed behind to get Kristina’s
prescription. She thanks Jason for
saving her sister’s life and leaves.
Franco tells Elizabeth about the fight the
boys had over the show Aiden liked; she asks why he didn’t tell her
sooner. He says he thought he had it handled. They agree to communicate better in the
future. Franco calls them a “work in
progress” – Elizabeth says they will figure it out, together. They reconfirm their love for one another,
and kiss. Drew meets with Margaux at
the Floating Rib; he asks about her childhood and she shares a little bit. Her “father was associated with a known
mobster.” She says he “vanished,”
having either evaporated or died when she was two; he says that might explain
her dislike for organized crime. She
says she just believes in justice. She
has a glass of wine and talks about never knowing her father; she thanks Drew
for giving her that moment to praise him and they toast. Chase searches around in the basement of
Charlie’s; he finds a skull on the floor.
Monday, September 10, 2018 (S56E110): The Letter
Michael
receives a letter from Nelle; Carly tells him he should just throw it away, but
he says he feels he should read it first.
He tells Carly that no matter how much he hates her for what she did,
they both lost their baby; Brad happens to step into the door just in time to
hear that. He looks like he feels
guilty as he looks down at the baby.
They see him and say hello; he gets even more uncomfortable when Michael
tells him he got a letter from Nelle.
He says he agrees with Carly, adding, “you can’t believe anything she
says.” Carly gets angry when she reads
that Nelle is forgiving Michael; she says, “it’s classic Nelle.” She is concerned that Michael still blames
himself and tells him he can’t buy into any of this. He asks his mom to leave him alone for a bit; he hugs her. He ponders over Nelle’s statement that she
hopes “being close to Brad and Lucas’ little boy makes [him] feel better.”
As
Jason and Sonny talk about the murder from all those years ago, we see Mike
sneaking down into the basement at Charlie’s; he takes a pipe wrench and bashes
a pipe until it breaks – gas starts pouring out. He wanders back upstairs, where he is surprised to see Kristina;
he tells her she needs to leave, right now.
She asks what’s going on; we see the basement pipe again and hear the
gas leaking. He tells her he can’t tell
her; he says her dad won’t be happy to see her there – “he hates this place,”
he says. Sonny tells Jason he should
have listened to his father back then; he says, he tried to warn him Scully was
nothing but trouble. He’s surprised to
get Kristina’s call; she offers to drive him home but Sonny says he’ll come get
him.
Nina wonders if her baby lived; Maxie tries to caution her not to get
carried away with this fantasy. She
says her mother could be pulling one last scam; she asks Nina to go out to
dinner and a movie with her. She says
she’ll meet her at the elevator; she has to “wrap something up.” Valentin meets with Curtis at the Metro
Court; he tells her Madeline paid for a nurse to take care of Nina and a doctor
to deliver the baby. Curtis says it
would help to talk to Madeline; Valentin tells him that she is dead. Curtis decides he needs to trace the payment
made to Carter for the adoption; he leaves.
Nina and Maxie come in; Maxie isn’t happy to see Valentin there. Curtis comes back and tells Valentin that
“the Jackal” has already found a money transfer. Julian begins to smell the gas and does down to check the
basement; Mike starts telling Kristina they shouldn’t be here… he says “no one
is supposed to be here.” He thought it
was the middle of the night; he says, “this isn’t right – none of this is
right.”
Julian makes a call to 911; he
says the valve looks like it’s been tampered with. Kristina hears that and runs back in to find the wrench she saw
her grandfather with; Sonny gets there.
Mike tells him, “I wanted to fix it for you son; I wanted to help.” Sonny asks him what he is doing there; Julian
asks Jason if his boss knows anything about the sabotage. Kristina trips and falls, knocking herself
unconscious; the wrench skids across the floor. When Mike says Kristina went back in there, Jason goes in after
her; as he is carrying her to the door, she says, “wait.” Outside, we hear an explosion.
