Danny comes home to
find Jason visiting; he shows his dad a picture book he made about families… it
has drawings of all kinds of different families, some with two mothers, some
with two fathers (like Uncle Lucas and Uncle Brad, he says). Jason loves it. He tells him he did a great job on the book; Danny says, his
teacher told him that families are made up of people who love each other, and
asks, “do you love mommy?” Nina tells
Maxie about her daughter; she shows her picture and the DNA test results. Maxie asks when she is going to meet her;
Nina says that isn’t going to happen.
She says she’s an adult and doesn’t want to disrupt her life at this
point, she says; her adopted mother never told her she was adopted so this
whole thing is a shock to her. Maxie
encourages her to still contact the woman; Peter happens to come into the
office and Nina poses a hypothetical question about a situation similar to
hers; she asks Peter what he thinks this woman should do, whether or not she
should contact the young lady. Peter
says there is no guarantee this child would want to meet her biological mother,
but at least she could tell her how she feels about it, if she were given the
opportunity; Nina thanks him and says she will let her friend know.
Felicia sees
“Kevin" in the hall of the hospital and asks him if they can talk; he
eagerly says yes, and invites her into his office. She tells him that she wants to put the media to rest about the
Ryan Chamberlain murders; he asks what she means. She says she wants to issue a joint press release, telling their
side of the story and letting the media know that they have nothing further to say
about it, so neither of them will be hounded by reporters. To her surprise, he is more than happy to
oblige; he tells her he will see his patients today and page her later. She laughs, asking if they are back in the
1990s; he corrects himself to say, “I’ll text you then.” She leaves, and Ava shows up; she has just
come from Sonny’s house, where Carly refused her request to see Avery. She mentioned her scheduled visitation
tomorrow and Carly tells her it has been cancelled; Carly is astounded when Ava
doesn’t remember that it is the anniversary of Morgan’s death already
again. Carly says Avery will be with
her family tomorrow; Ava tells “Kevin” that she doesn’t know what to do with
all her pent up rage. She asks him for
his advice on how to get over it; he says he sees more fear than rage,
protecting her from something she is feeling deep inside. He asks her what that something might be
that she needs protection from; she tells him about a recurring dream she has –
Avery is all grown up, and watching her… she says she sees her as she really is
(ugly and scarred).
“Kevin” tells her
that isn’t true, she is beautiful; Ava laughs.
She asks how she can go on, living with her daughter and her ex
boyfriend, going on together, unpunished; she is amazed that he doesn’t try to
dissuade her from seeking revenge against her ex and his lover. Griffin finds Kiki in the gym and tries to
make apologies again; she says she doesn’t want him to apologize. She says they were two consenting adults,
they slept together; she wanted it, just like she wants it again now… she steps
closer to him.
