Lulu finds Michael at The
Floating Rib; she asks if he’s okay and doesn’t believe him when he says he
is. He tells her he will be; she meets
with Peter. Peter tells her that he
needs her to change her latest article; she’s getting too deep into the philosophy
about the mind of a serial killer.
Laura tells Carly that she was impressed with how she handled herself at
Fern Cliff today; Carly says it actually made her feel empowered. She is frustrated though that they couldn’t
see the patient she wanted to see; she can’t forget how he would scream and
cry, pounding on the walls. Laura says
she is sure Carly isn’t the only one to suffer at the hands of Mary Pat. Carly almost tells Laura that she thought,
at one point, that her neighbor was Kevin, but she stops herself. Mary Pat tells “Kevin” she was pretty sure
they hadn’t seen the last of each other, when he walks into The Floating Rib; “Kevin” says, “not yet… but that day
is fast approaching.” He tells her to meet
him at Pier 55; she says she can’t get a drink there. “Kevin” reaches behind the bar and grabs a bottle; he tells her
he knows the owners, and they let him get away with murder. On the docks, he tells her that as soon as
he sets her up, their association is through; she says there may still come a
day when she calls on him, reminding him that his secret is worth at least
that.
Chase sees a girl sleeping in her car; he wakes her and asks her to get out of her car. She refuses, until she calls to verify that he is a detective; Chase makes sure she isn’t drunk and tells her to move her car. It won’t start; he offers to give her a ride. Anna tells Britt that she could arrange an exchange; she gets out and her mother goes in. Britt tells her to sweeten the pot; she says she isn’t turning her mother in just for an early release… but she changes her tune when Anna refuses to negotiate. They take her out to dinner; she gorges. Lulu sees her and freaks out; she goes over and starts yelling at her, asking what she is doing out of prison. Britt gloats that she is “out” and tells Lulu to get used to it; Peter asks who this is. Lulu angrily says, “Britt, this is Peter. Peter; meet your sister.” Lulu walks out to find Chase and this girl; she introduces them. The girl, Willow, she says, is single; she leaves. He notices a flyer for a bereavement group in her car. Lulu finds her mom and tells her that she had a nice talk with Kevin today; Laura says it’s nice that he could make time for one of them. Laura asks if Lulu has noticed anything strange about Kevin lately; Lulu says she hasn’t noticed anything.
Michael tells his mom about Margaux approaching him; he says if she digs any more he is going to file a complaint. Carly says that’s a great idea; they need to try to get her out of office. He confides in his mother that he is not doing well; he says he thinks about Jonah all the time, and he is tired of pretending. She hugs him and tells him that’s okay; he tells her he is going to start going to a grieving group. Sonny determines that he needs to go and talk to Margaux and confront her with the truth; he calls her and says it’s time they had it out.
