Franco stays in
Kevin’s office to talk to him some more; he wants Kevin to put him back under
tonight… but Kevin says it’s too dangerous.
He tells Franco they will try again tomorrow.
Elizabeth and Jake are still fumbling with his backpack when Jim decides to pull a gun on Liz; he tells her to put the kid in the car and get in; he says she is going to drive him out of the parking garage. The police are looking for him, Liz reminds him; he tells her they won’t be looking for two adults with a kid in the car. Jake says he doesn’t want to get in; Elizabeth tells him that she needs him to do whatever she tells him. He says okay; she says RUN, quietly at first, then screaming to startle him; he takes off, but doesn’t go far. He changes his mind, when Jim grabs his mother and holds the gun on her.
Elizabeth gets loose and pushes him arm up; he tries to fight her off. Franco happens to come into the garage at that moment, and when he sees Jim with Liz, he roars and runs and tackles the man; Liz jumps up and grabs Jake. They run back into the hospital; she calls the police and then bumps into Drew, who had been visiting Betsy again. He apologized to Betsy for upsetting her earlier, and she tells him it wasn’t him. She starts to tell him everything; we don’t hear what all she says though, but I could make out her lips as she tells Drew that Franco wasn’t trying to hurt him when he pushed him down the steps; she says, “he was trying to protect you.” But music is playing so we don’t hear this, or anything further, and the camera panned away, so I couldn’t read her lips.
Drew asks Elizabeth where Franco is now; she tells him they left him fighting with Jim Harvey. Franco had Jim down on the ground, had knocked the gun out of his hand, and was pounding his face when we last saw him. But, when Drew and Liz walk through the door, Jim and Franco are both gone. They wonder where they went.
