Oscar tells his
mom that he overheard her telling Julian that she never has gotten over Andrew;
she tells him eavesdropping can get you in trouble. He shows her the CD that he found, that Drew made for her before
shipping out; she says she should have thrown it away a long time ago… but
still doesn’t want to. Oscar asks her
if she wouldn’t like to be with him again, and she answers, “he isn’t the same
man he used to be, and he doesn’t even remember feeling that way about
me.” Later, we see her sitting on the
couch with her computer on her lap, and the CD in her hand.
Drew and Elizabeth try to figure out where Jim would have taken Franco, because they are assuming that Jim Harvey overpowered Franco, but in reality, we see Franco walking to the trunk of the car and opening it to reveal Jim, tied up inside, face bloody. Scott tells Elizabeth that he saw Franco driving her car out of the garage; he says he passed him “like a bat out of hell.”
Franco takes him into his studio; Jim protests that the building has been condemned because of the earthquake. Franco laughs, “I know” and talks about how quiet it is and how no one will disturb them. He then tells Jim that he remembers everything now; he says he knows that Jim molested him and he shoved “Andy” down the stairs to try to protect him from Jim doing the same thing to him. He tells Jim that he is going to kill him. They fight over the gun; Jim knocks it out of Franco’s hand onto the floor. He gets Franco around the neck with his arm, and Franco passes out; Jim lays him down on the floor and gets on top of him, putting his hands around Franco’s throat now. He cries as he squeezes, saying, “we had a secret,” “you weren’t supposed to tell” and “you’re a bad boy.” A shot rings out and Jim falls to the floor; Drew stands behind him with a smoking gun.
