10-19-2017 (Thursday) A New Love Blooms

Dante sand Lulu are out to dinner; Laura comes in and teases them about kissing in public.  Dante says it’s date night; Lulu asks why laura is all dressed up… she says its just in case Kevin proposes to her, and giggles.  She imagines all sorts of ways he might do it; Lulu asks if she is going to say yes this time.  Griffin is asked by one of the nurses if he would talk to a patient who has asked for a priest; he tells her he can no longer speak “as a priest” but would speak to him as a doctor.  She says nevermind; Kevin says, he couldn’t help but overhear.  Griffin tells Kevin he had to do it to find peace; Kevin apologizes for overstepping any boundries but tells Griffin he doesn’t look like a man at peace.  Ava pulls the note out of her purse and waves it in front of her face; she tells Sonny, if she leaves now, he’ll never know what it is.  He says maybe he doesn’t care what it is; she tries to use it as a ploy to see Avery, but then says she really can do the right thing once in a while.  She hands him the note; he opens it as she starts walking away… he tells her to stop and asks who gave her this.

Elizabeth walks through the park with Jake, who is carrying a jackolatern; she gets a phone call and tells him to wait for her.  Our Jason happens to be crossing the park and steps behind a wall.  He softly says, “Jake.”  Jake hears; he asks, “who’s there?”  ‘Jason’ (now aka Drew) arrives; Jake yells, “dad!”  He says he heard someone say his name; they think he’s just playing and send him to get a drink.  Jason watches him walk by; he remembers fighting with Elizabeth about donating Jake’s heart.  ‘Jason’ asks Elizabeth what she and Franco were going to tell him the other night; our Jason listens behind the wall.  She claims not to remember.  Jake comes back and tells them he knew someone said his name and tells them he was right there by the wall.  ‘Jason’ goes to look, but our Jason is gone when he reaches the other side of the wall.  Ava comes back and finds his note, thanking her for the clothes “and everything else.”  Griffin shows up at her door.  She lets him in and asks if he wants to join her for a martini; she laughs about not wanting to repeat their mistake of last night, asking, “isn’t that right father?”.  He tells her it wasn’t a mistake and tells her not to call him “father.”  He tells her he left the priesthood; she questions why, asking what it all means.

When Betsy tells Franco he pushed Andrew; he asks if she thinks he did it on purpose.  She says he was at the top of the stairs looking down at him; she didn’t know what to think.  Franco asks why she didn’t send HIM away; she says she sensed somehow that he needed her more… she felt that Andrew would be okay.  Franco begs her to give him the last piece of the puzzle; he asks her where she sent Drew.  She says she left him at a “foundling hospital” somewhere outside Port Charles; she says he seemed to understand, and it was like he could handle anything.  She watched until someone came out to get him after ringing the doorbell; she thought it better to never check on him after that.  Franco starts to cry and says, “cause this is so much better” – he says he has always felt, his whole life, like there was this other person who was like his “brother” and he was capable of killing him.  He ponders over the irony of that, and the fact that Andrew and Jason don’t even know that each other exist.  Franco finds Elizabeth in the park and tells her that they can’t tell Jason about his dead brother, because his brother isn’t dead.  He doesn’t tell her everything his mom told him, but insists the twin didn’t die.  Elizabeth questions whether this is even the truth or not; she says his mother has lied to him so many times.  He tells Liz she’s probably right; he is going to choose to believe that Jason never had a twin at all.

Sonny shows ‘Jason’ the note; it says meet “me where you and Robin scattered Stone’s ashes,” and mentions “Luke’s Club” and “$40.”  Sonny reminds ‘Jason’ when they first met, he gave him $40 outside of Luke’s Club; he says, if it’s from Ava, it’s probably a trick.  Sonny says he has to go see for himself anyway; ‘Jason’ thinks Ava is setting him up.  Sonny says he and Jason are the only one’s who know about the money and the Club; ‘Jason’ wonders then, since he knows it didn’t come from him, who it came from.  Our Jason stands on the footbridge, awaiting Sonny’s arrival.
