Amy thanks Nathan for stepping in for her at the Nurses’ Ball; he says he didn’t really do anything, complimenting her voice.  She tells him he has done more than he knows.  He says it was no big deal; she says thanks anyway.  Amy asks about Maxie; he starts making excuses for her… Amy laughs and asks if he can stay for another cup of coffee.  They sit down at a table; he tells her what makes Maxie being gone even harder, because she is there, with the father of her baby.  Amy tells him he needs to do something about that, if he wants to be with her; he says, of course he does or he wouldn’t have married her, and she says then he should fight for her.  He asks about her love life and she tells him, “there is this guy” – she says she has liked him since high school, asking if that makes her pathetic; Nathan laughs and says no, it makes her “committed.”  He asks how the reunion is coming along but the conversation quickly turns back to Maxie; Amy compares her to a storybook character “Daisy” from the Great Gatsby.   Daisy loves attention, is selfish and breaks Gatsby’s heart.  Amy excuses herself to the restroom and two strangers mistake Nathan for a man called “Man Landers.”  He googles it, and asks Amy when she returns, when he became this person; his picture is the face of the website.  Amy admits that she did it; it’s her advice column.  He realizes this is what she meant, that he had done more than he knew; he asks why she used his picture.

Lulu glares at Valentin and Nina as they revel in ‘being together’ again; she thought they would have a much better chance at getting custody if Charlotte’s only other option was a broken home.  Her mother tells her not to ruin the night and suggests they go say goodbye to Lucy.  Emma comes out and tells Charlotte to come with her; she says she has to show her something.  Anna comes around the corner; Andre asks her not to do anything rash and she says she may not have a choice.  She explains the mitigating circumstances with regard to Valentin and the Chimera, and says she understands why he did what he did.  She tries to convince herself that he truly believed Helena would never use the Chimera, except as leverage.  She is concerned about finding it.  Jake pleads with his mother to let him still do the magic show, even though the Ball is over; Lucy overhears and offers to let him perform, although she says she can’t stay because she has a date.  Jason says it’s time to go; Elizabeth tells him that Jake wants to do his magic act now.  They decide that it can’t hurt anything  to let Jake do his act.  Anna and Andre discuss the meaning behind the Chimera, a lion, goat and serpent creature; Anna says the contagion, as she understands is a hybrid – a mixture of different toxins – and if it were released it would be disastrous.  Valentin and Nina decide to stay to watch Charlotte assist Jake with his magic show; Lulu tells her mom the show is back on.  Laura questions where Jake got this magic kit and Lulu says from Spencer; Laura says, “no, that didn’t happen.”  The girls announce Jake; Charlotte sneezes and Jake pulls rows of handkerchiefs out of his pocket.  Elizabeth is nervous something is going to happen; the girls bring the case over to the table.  Jake taps it with his want; he sees Helena sitting at a table… she tells him to “let the grand finale begin.”  Liz sees that Jake is hesitant and tells him he doesn’t have to do this, but he looks at Helena again who tells him he knows what he has to do.  He says he wants to go on; Andre gets a call and has to go.  Laura has a bad feeling, knowing Spencer did not send Jake that magic set; Jason recalls being told by Helena that as good as he is, “Jake will be.”  Jake gets ready to announce “the greatest trick of all” … again Jason recalls Helena speaking, “Jake will be the greatest killer of them all.”  He stands up and tells Jake to stop.   Jake looks over at Helena again, who looks at him sternly; he picks up the Chimera container and pushes the button.  The blue lights flash; Anna gasps, “oh my god.”

Carly and Sonny tell Ava that they know what she did to their son; Ava looks extremely nervous.  She tries to deny everything and Carly immediately tells her not to lie to them; she says they know Morgan is dead because of her.  Ava says she had nothing to do with the bomb; Sonny tells her to this isn’t about the bomb.  They tell her they know she replaced his medication with placebos; she tries to walk away, but Sonny stops her.  Ava tries to turn the tables on Morgan, bringing up everything he did to Kiki, including the fact that he got her shot; she says she knew Kiki would be happier without him… and, she adds, that Morgan would have been happier too, if he could have just moved on.  She says she was protecting her daughter; Carly brings up her shooting Connie and everything else she has done, and tells Ava to admit it; Ava breaks down and confesses that she did it.  Carly recounts the last days of Morgan’s life… and things he wrote in his journal, including “I hate myself” and “my parents are going to be so disappointed in me.”  Carly tells Ava Morgan didn’t do anything wrong; she steps closer.  She tells Ava she never thought she could hate someone so much; Sonny is standing closely on her other side.  Ava says she thought he would just get sent back to the clinic for a while; Carly tells her there was no safe ending to what she set in motion and calls her a horrible, evil person.  She asks how she could do this to Morgan; Ava says they can’t make her feel worse than she already does, claiming she was devastated when he died.  She says the guilt has been overwhelming; she cries and says he wasn’t supposed to die.  Carly says, “but he did, and you have to live with that.”  They tell Ava that they are going to tell both of her daughters that she killed Morgan; she realizes that is her punishment.  Carly tells Ava to pick on someone her own size and comes at her; Ava grabs an oil lantern and throws it on the ground, starting a fire.  She pushes Carly down, knocking her out.
