Franco is late for Jake’s art therapy session; Monica stops
Franco in the hospital hallway, and asks what’s in the box he’s carrying. He refuses to tell her, pretty much putting
her in her place. Alexis tells Carlos
the case against him is “dubious” – unless Sabrina reappears in Port Charles…
she asks if that’s a possibility.
Michael demands to know who the baby toy belongs to. Nina finds Julian in her office (he scoffs
at her just now getting in and she goes on a verbal rampage), telling him she
is not doing it anymore (putting her needs aside for someone else). He’s asking for financial paperwork; she
falls apart and starts crying.
Sabrina’s aunt claims the rattle belongs to her friend’s baby who was
visiting this morning; Michael dares her to call and tell her right now.
Carlos tells Alexis that Sabrina will not
come back; Alexis explains that if that’s true, the prosecution’s case will
fall apart – Carlos chuckles at the thought that everyone knows he did it, but
no one can prove it. Rick tells Sonny
Carlos could get off and be set free; Sonny is ‘considering his options’. Franco gives the puppy to Jake while Jason
goes to call Sam. The friend comes to
pick up her baby’s toy from Sabrina’s aunt; she apologizes for upsetting Michael…
Michael asks her if she would them find Sabrina. Jason tells Jake he cannot keep the puppy; Jake tells Jason he
hates him. Monica inserts herself into the conversation and starts chewing out Franco for giving another man’s child a puppy, saying that is against all rules – not to mention that Jake is a patient. Monica offers to give it to the groundskeeper so Jake can come visit it. Jason doesn’t let Franco walk away.
Molly comes to ask why
Alexis is defending Carlos; Alexis tells her she hopes they can have an adult
conversation about this – Molly points out that Alexis seems to have decided to
“drop-kick” her ethics and says everyone has a right to a good defense (even
Jack-the-ripper). Molly asks if Dukes
life meant nothing to her…and asks how Alexis lives with herself. Alexis tells
Molly that the world is not always black or white… in this case, Carlos isn’t
the only one to consider. Molly says
the man is pure evil. Alexis gets out
the knife Helena left her in the will – and explains how Helena used it to cut
her mother’s throat, saying that is pure evil.
Julian has a nice, heart-to-heart conversation with Nina about Franco,
telling her that Franco clearly cares about her. She’s concerned that they don’t really know each other at
all. As she goes on to say that maybe
no one really knows the real any one, Julian stands up and says he has to
go. Franco explains that dogs are good
therapy, that it might be good for Jake because he is lonely… and that Jake
realizes Jason’s concern is more for Sam and her kid than for him; he says he
understands him because he was like that too.
Jason says “my son is nothing like you.” Felix and Michael start thinking of a new way to find
Sabrina. They are going back to Port
Charles.
Franco taunts Jason a bit,
telling him that he is a killer – not a respectable person; he goes on to say
that Jason doesn’t want anyone to love him… Jason loses it and grabs Franco,
shoving him up against the wall, saying he should have killed him when he shot
him in the garage. Franco is surprised
he remembers. Jason smiles. Nina questions Julian if his rush has
anything to do with Carols Rivera and secrets of his own (offering to listen,
as he did for her); he tells her he can handle his own problems. Molly and Alexis continue their
conversation. Alexis asks Molly to
leave Julian out of this; Molly can’t, she says it wouldn’t be honest… Julian
must have pressured her into defending Carlos and she knows it. Alexis is afraid Molly hates her; Molly says
she doesn’t, but thinks Alexis might hate herself. Her words ring in Alexis’ ear.
Julian comes home. Wow, the aunt
walks into a back bedroom and hands another rattle to a baby in a crib. Some boy walks in to the police station,
saying he has new evidence about Carlos Rivera.
