Jos tells Cameron that she needs him to be her boyfriend… he doesn’t
know what to say. With Oscar by his
side, he plays it cool; he hangs up and tells Oscar he doesn’t really know what
that was all about. Joslyn asked him to
come to her house to talk because she needs his help. Oscar asks with what, and Cam says homework; Oscar scoffs at the
idea telling Cam that his best subject is lunch. Oscar comes to see his mom; she hugs him and tells him happy
birthday. She asks if he is okay; he
tells her he is. She asks him if they
can go out to dinner for his birthday; she says she wants to give him something
special… he says if she really means that, they can give him the chance to make
up his own mind, for however long he has left.
She tells him he needs to start prepping for the treatment; he says,
“it’s not going to happen.” He says he
is not going to be a part of that trial.
Cameron asks Joslyn why she wants to make Oscar jealous; she says it’s
how she is going to get him back. He
tells her that maybe she just needs to accept that Oscar doesn’t want to be
with her anymore; she tells him he’s right, and she shouldn’t ask a friend to
lie for her anyway.
Olivia tells Curtis and Jordan that they will have to find another venue for their wedding; there has been another ceremony booked for that same day, for over a year. She says it was horrible oversight, and offers to give Jordan free massages and to help her find another venue. Suddenly, she gets an idea; she tells them it is going to be perfect. She makes a call. She takes them to The Floating Rib; Jordan loves the idea. Alexis tells Julian that she needs to go meet with a client; she meets with Oscar. He asks if she will agree to represent him against his parents; she does her best to try to convince him not to take this action. He explains his situation to her and says, “it’s not their lives on the line, it’s mine.” Kim talks to Julian; she is frustrated. She apologizes, saying she’s a lousy girlfriend and a lousy mother; Julian stops her. He tells her she is perfect, she just needs to give Oscar some time. Kim tells Julian she is sorry she can’t explain what’s going on, but she promised Oscar; he says he understands, then he guesses, “Oscar is sick, right?” Carly sees Oscar talking to Alexis, and wonders what is going on. Alexis urges him to change his mind, but Oscar says he can gladly go to Scott Baldwin for help; she pleads with him to work things out with his parents.
Bobby talks to Carly; she tells her that she was speaking with Dr. Nero the other day, who has brought a lot of babies into this world… she says when she mentioned B.J. and Jonah, it “seemed to strike a personal chord.” Carly wonders why. Aiden’s teacher calls Elizabeth and Franco in for a meeting; she tells them that Aiden is very bright, but socially, she says, he is sensitive and withdrawn – this shocks Elizabeth – she says none of his other teachers have ever described him as “sensitive and withdrawn.” Franco asks Liz if he should tell the teacher about the “princess pencils”; he does. The teacher says she thinks she might know what is going on; she asks if anything more significant has happened lately. Liz only mentions a friend moving away; she asks what they can do to help her “little boy.’ She gently tells them they just need to watch him and cautions them to be gentle with Aiden; she says they need to get him to open up and share whatever challenge he is facing at school.
