Sam calls her
mom when she and Jason get home. Maxie comes by to see how her trip was; Sam
tells her about how much fun she and the kids had, and then about running into
Jason and working a case with him (after sending the kids home with her
mom). Sam asks about Lulu; Maxie tells
her that she doesn’t miss her. She says
Lulu only cares about herself; Sam says maybe she just got herself into something
that she doesn’t know how to get out of.
Maxie explains her point, saying nothing is ever Lulu’s fault; she then
says she would rather talk about her new and unexpected friend, Peter. After Maxie explains how they met and became
friends, and what he has done for her, Sam says, “there must be more to this
Peter August than we thought.”
Lulu is talking to Peter about her story on Heinrik; Peter asks if she has told Dante yet, and she admits that she hasn’t. She says she wants to develop an actual relationship with Heinrik first, and draw him out of hiding. She tells Peter that she thinks Heinrik may just be like everyone else, and no matter how bad he may be, it’s not really his fault. Peter tells her that is what makes her a great reporter.
Robert and Anna continue their conversation, which turns to the conundrum box and how to get into it; she thinks the box was probably for Helena. Robert agrees, it would have been meant for one of the Cassadines. Valentin questions why Curtis is at their house; he doesn’t buy the first reason given… they Curtis is looking for marriage advice, though Curtis says that’s true. Nina confesses that she hired Curtis to find out the truth about Peter, whether there was any dirt to find, or not. Valentin gets upset; Nina says she is looking out for her sister-in-law and the baby because her brother isn’t there to do it, and asks why he is protecting Peter over Maxie. Maxie is surprised when Sam tells her about the bank they “infiltrated” but she says she can tell that Sam is really, really happy, so she is happy for her. Sam says she has to confess something; she gets a box out of the closet, with some of Nathan’s things in it, which Maxie thought they had taken to the homeless shelter. Maxie thanks Sam for it, as she holds the box tightly.
Valentin tells Nina he is on her side, and even offers to be an alibi if needed; he asks if she needs to tell him anything. Nina kisses him and says, the less he knows the better, and goes to work. Alexis and Anna have a somewhat awkward encounter when Anna goes to see Alexis about changing her Will, and finds Finn there. Finn and Robert have an awkward encounter at the bar; Finn says he is Anna’s ex, when Robert asks if he is her boyfriend. Curtis is breaking into the offices at Aurora, after closing; Valentin is shocked when Robert walks into Wyndemere. He tells Valentin he likes what he’s done with the place.
