Jason is shocked when Anna says she is Heinrik’s mother, but she
tells him what she means is that she is willing to “pretend” to be Heinrik’s
mother, to draw him out. She pleads her
case as an experienced agent AND a mother trying to reconnect with her long-lost
child; she says she wouldn’t have to fake any of it, just remember. She explains her plain in detail and says
she wants to start now. Jason tells her
he doesn’t want her actually meeting with Heinrik, saying “you are way too
close to this.” She argues, but Jason
begs her to trust him. She says she
will let him know if she makes contact with Heinrik and goes to write the
email. Jason leaves.
Maxie finds out
that someone set up a fund in Nathan’s name to help families of fallen police
officers; she asks Peter to help her find out how this person was. He does a search online and tells her it was
funded by the offshore accounts of “PK Sinclaire,” which doesn’t appear to make
her happy. She says she wants nothing to do with Henrik Faison; she gets up and
walks out of the office, as Peter asks her how they can fix this.
Nina meets
with Curtis; they have lunch together and Nina asks him to continue
investigating Peter. She says she has
to know to truth before her niece or nephew is born.Liz asks Franco if he is
okay; he just got off the phone with one of Harvey’s victims. He says the guy didn’t want to talk at
first, but when he told him Jim Harvey was dead, he began talking; they guy
asked what he wanted and Franco says he told him that he wanted to pass on the
relief he feels now. He finds out the
person he was calling has recently died, but their sibling thanks him and tells
him they lived a good a life. He
reaches other though, and says they all seemed to feel relief as soon as they
heard Jim Harvey was dead; Franco tells Elizabeth that means everything to
him. He calls himself a coward for
telling them over the phone, but says he doesn’t think he could face another of
Harvey’s victims. They have a
lighthearted moment, and she compliments him on his work at the hospital with
the kids; she calls him a “kindred spirit” because he knows what it’s like to
be a child in pain. One of the victims
calls back, wanting to meet in person.
Nina finds Valentin putting fresh flowers on Nathan’s grave;
she says she was wondering who was doing that every day. She tells Valentin that she found out that
Peter has a file on Nathan at his offices at Aurora. She wonders if Peter is “studying Nathan” to try to get to
Maxie. Maxie goes to visit Nathan’s
grave and talks to him there about how he loved to help people; she tells him
about her dilemma with Heinrik setting up that fund. She says she doesn’t know if she is strong enough to accept
anything from Nathan’s brother, and she won’t let him use Nathan’s memory to ease
his own conscience. Valentin calls
Peter to meet and warns him that Nina is on to him; Peter tells Valentin not to
worry and says he has got it under control.
Nina goes to Peter’s office and starts digging through his things; when
Peter comes back and sees her, she asks him to explain what he is doing with
all this stuff about her brother.
Drew finds Curtis at the café; he tells him he
and Sam are getting divorced. They talk about Peter and the investigation, but
it comes back to marriage; Curtis asks if that’s always how it is that after
you think everything is great, it just blows up in your face. Drew asks if they are talking about him and
Jordan now; Curtis admits that he and Jordan are fighting again… she “let him
off the hook.” Drew tells him to ask
Jordan again; he says he’ll think about it.
He gives Drew the number of good attorney he knows to represent him in
his divorce from Sam.
