Griffin confronts Ava about blackmailing Sonny into giving her joint custody; he says she lied to him.  She tries to explain; he can’t believe she would use Mike’s illness to do such a horrible thing.  She says she regrets nothing; he asked if she would have really put an innocent old man with Alzheimer’s in prison… she says it doesn’t matter, because he is home safe now.  She gets mad at him for giving his report to the court in favor of Mike; he says he gave an accurate description of the situation, adding that he could lose his license if he had done otherwise.  He says, “I already gave up one calling for you.”  She is at a loss for words for a moment, then asks where that leaves them now.  He tells her he isn’t sure, but says he is happy Avery is back in her life; he kisses her and walks away.  Ava has a frightening moment when she looks in her makeup mirror and thinks she sees the old scarring again.

Sonny and Carly talk about all of the weird things that she has been experiencing; he questions how she is certain any of it really happened.  She says she held the scarf in her hands… and the note.  She also tells him that she went to see Kevin, and did get medication for anxiety; however, she still insists that this is not all in her imagination.  Lucy interrupts them with thanks to Sonny for his donation to the Nurses’ Ball; he leaves.  Carly tells her about the things that have been happening and says she thinks, sometimes, that she is losing her mind.  Sonny tells Jason that he is worried about Carly.  He tells Jason she followed an “imaginary note” to the house where she claimed the lights were shutting on and off and she heard noises. Lucy gives Carly emotional support, assuring her she is NOT crazy; she says our loved ones are still with us… that their essence simply because a part of us and sensing them is not crazy.

Robert tells Anna that Jason is looking for Henrik’s mother now; she looks concerned.  They continue discussing the investigation; she says they have nothing to worry about – he says she is lying to herself.  She agrees Jason’s skills are impeccable and decides that she just has to stay one step ahead of him.  Anna calls Jason to meet her; Robert says he hopes she knows what she is doing.  She tells Jason that she is Heinrik’s mother.

Finn is angry with Alexis, for trying to orchestrate a “family reunion” between he and his brother; he tells her she had no right to force that upon him.  She apologizes, but says they just as well talk to each other since they are both there; she leaves.  They do; apparently this younger brother came from a second marriage of Finn’s father… Finn is polite but lets his brother know that a relationship between them is “never gonna happen.”  His brother thanks him for talking it out and asks him to go easy on Alexis; they wish each other a “good life” and he leaves.

Sam and Jason run into each other at the coffee shop; she tells him that as much fun as she had working with him, she has decided to keep working at Aurora with Drew for now – she does tell him that they are getting a divorce now though.  Next she talks to her mother; Alexis insists that they talk about the division of their property and custody of Scout.  Sam asks if they can leave the business out of it; Alexis says no.  Sam says she needs an “excuse” to stay there; Alexis inquires as to why.  She says she actually wants to sign Aurora over to Drew, but just wants to wait a little while longer.

Kiki follows Dr. Bensch on his rounds; he compliments her and tells her she has a real knack for general medicine.  She questions why he demeaned her last night then, saying she was “this close” to dropping out of the program because of his lecture.  He tells her he was only tough on her because he sees such potential in her; he says it would be shame for her to leave the program and convinces her to continue.  Griffin watches Bensch with curiosity.
