Monday, April 30, 2018 (S56E23): The Conundrum Box

Lulu, on crutches, asks Jason to meet her; she says she needs his advice. He asks how she hurt herself; she says she now knows not to chase Rocco in heels, calling it a “parenting injury.”  When Lulu tells Jason that she has been in touch with Heinrik, he warns her to be careful, providing detail about what happened to him in Russia at Heinrik’s hands.

Curtis continues digging through Peter’s office, while Sam keeps Drew busy outside the door; he finds something he thinks may be a “jackpot.”  It’s a file full of papers on Nathan West.  Nina comes home frustrated because Drew didn’t show up for her meeting; she fears he may catch Curtis in his office.  Valentin tells Nina about the conundrum box; she questions why Robert would think he had anything to do with it.  Curtis hears Sam loudly tell Drew that Peter isn’t here; she says he’s in a meeting.  She asks if she can buy him a cup of coffee, saying she has a lot to tell him.  Curtis promptly leaves.  He goes to see Nina; she agrees two heads are better than one and has no problem with Sam helping with the investigation.  Sam and Drew go to have coffee; she tells him about her trip to Switzerland, and her renewed interest in being a private investigator.  He wishes her well.  They discuss what to do with Aurora; they agree to separate their personal and business lives, and decide to get a divorce.

Sonny makes a drastic decision in order to save his dad from testifying in open court; after much yelling back and forth, and threats flying both ways, Sonny and Ava agree to joint custody.  Split exactly the same, Sonny tells Diane; “make everything equal.”
