11-02-2017 (Thursday) Where Did Andre Go?

Franco, talking to himself in Andre's empty office, mentions the “two Jasons” and the both of them having all the same memories; he wonders how that could be.  Elizabeth shows up at the door.  She tells him she is cleared to go home; he isn’t sure he believes her.  She assures him she can clean her own wound, and she’ll have a few days off – so when the boys are at school, they’ll have the house to themselves.  He asks how she knew he was there; she says she didn’t.  She was looking for Dr. Maddox; Franco tells her he is pretty sure that Andre is leaving town for good.  They step out into the hall.

Sam wakes up to see Jason by her bedside; he tells her he just wanted her to know that she isn’t crazy…that he is there…it’s him, “Jason.”  She says she doesn’t understand what’s going on; he says he doesn’t either.  Danny walks in the door and asks, “who are you?”  Jason introduces himself as “an old friend of your mom’s” and says he remembers his uncle, who he was named after.  Danny brings a card over to his mother and asks Jason to help him up onto the bed; Jason says sure thing.  He picks Danny up; ‘Jason’ walks in the door and says, “put down my son.”  Danny tells his dad this is his mom’s friend from when he was a baby; ‘Jason’ scoffs at that and says he shouldn’t be there.  Jason turns around and tells ‘Jason’ that he doesn’t know what’s going on any more than he does, except for one thing; he says, “I am Jason Morgan.”  Carly takes Danny to the playroom; ‘Jason’ tells Jason if he doesn’t leave he will call security.  When Carly comes back, she tells ‘Jason’ that she is the one who told Jason he needed to come see Sam.

Apiphany hears screaming and comes in, shocked to see the old Jason; she tells everyone to leave, saying her only concern is her patient.  She asks Sam if she is okay; Sam says she just has a lot to think about now.  Apiphany says, “you certainly do.”  Out in the hall, Carly tells Jason this is all her fault; she says she never should have convinced herself that “he” was Jason – and maybe shouldn’t have told him to come see Sam – except that he should be with her, she says.  Jason looks down the hall and sees Franco.  He stomps over and just punches him.  Throwing Franco up against the elevator, he hits him again.  Franco falls down and Jason jumps on top of him and starts choking him.  Elizabeth screams for help; Apiphany calls for security.  Carly pulls Jason off and Franco gasps for air, blood dripping from his lip.  Jason asks why he is still alive; security comes and puts Jason in handcuffs and takes him away.  ‘Jason’ asks Carly if she really believes that man is Jason Morgan; he asks her, “if he is, who does that make me?”

Elizabeth wipes the blood from Franco’s lips and wonders why that looked like the old Jason; she starts to remember statements from prior conversations with Franco, and Monica, and puts it all together.  She realizes Franco knew Jason was alive; he says he didn’t want to believe it.  At the police station, Carly tries to explain to Jason about Franco’s tumor… and why she almost married him; Jason is relieved to find out that he and Franco are not actually related.

One of the Russian men finds Valentin on the docks; he tells him he owes him.  Valentin says his debt has been paid in full; the man begs him to help him get out of Port Charles and says he will owe him one.  Valentin and this man talk about the mess at the party; Valentin says he wasn’t professional.  The man says he was only trying to “fulfill an obligation to a client” and didn’t know “the price would be so steep.”  He asks Valentin if he hasn’t ever wanted to change the past; Valentin remembers Cassandra showing him Claudia’s picture, holding a newspaper.  The man says Valentin is his only option; Valentin says, “well, what d’ya know?”  He asks for safe passage out of the country and money to establish a new identity; he reminds him of the “excellent work” he’s done for him and his associates in the past, and says he can do it in the future.  Valentin makes a call; the man says “thank you.”  He is surprised when red and blue lights start flashing and the siren flares; Valentin tells the police officers this is the man they are looking for.

When they bring this man into the station, Jason recognizes him; Carly is calling Diane to help Jason out.  Jason tells her to tell Diane not to try too hard tonight because he needs a little time.  He says, “Sam’s husband was right about one thing; this is a set up… n somebody did it to both of us.”  He says he needs to find out who did it.

Andre shows up at Anna’s house; she invites him in.  He tells her he is there to say goodbye; she asks why, why so suddenly.  He says that’s how he came into town; he figured he’d leave that way too.  She tells him she owes him her life…that she was lost and he showed her the way out; he says it’s nice to have a satisfied customer and then asks her to remember, no matter what else she hears, that he really, really wanted to help people.  She asks what has happened.  He sarcastically mentions his “valued ability to determine a persons true character” and Anna adds, and a “cool head under pressure.”  He tells her he’s loved his time at GH, and the patients he’s had; he says he will miss it and turns away.  She steps in front of him and tells him he can trust her; he says he knows that and gives her a little disco ball to remember the night they danced together.  He says a choice he made before he came to Port Charles has finally caught up with him; she asks if it was his work with the WSB.  He says it started with good intentions; he set out to conquer one of humanities greatest fears – the loss of self – the painful and irreversible loss of memory.  He says he has all of his paperwork in this bag he carries; he’d hoped it would be his legacy but he says now it’s a curse.  He says he wants to tell her, but…  She offers him tea, saying the ritual helps you focus; he accepts, but when she returns to the room, he is gone.  Only the little disco ball remains on the table; she grabs her coat and runs out the door.  Andre throws a file folder full of papers in a garbage can on the docks; he sprays it with lighter fluid and sets it ablaze.

Finn meets with Cassandra; she inquires about he and “Ms. DeVane.”  Finn declines to answer, changing the subject to her health; she says she is more than eager to hear what he has learned.  He says that should be discussed in privacy; she say she understands.  She invites him and Anna over for dinner; he tells her that’s not a good idea.  She tells him that she never really thought Anna was right for him, that she doesn’t seem to care about his work; he says that she does, in fact, that she was the one who convinced him to take her on as a patient.  She says she stands corrected; he says he just can’t speak for Anna, promptly excuses himself and tells her to meet him later at the General Hospital to discuss her test results.  She wonders what that was all about.  Anna finds Finn at the hospital; he tells her he had the chance to tell Cassandra that they had broken up, but he didn’t.  He says he didn’t want to screw things up for her; Anna says it wouldn’t have been that big of a deal.  He tells her he is going to tell Cassandra there is nothing seriously wrong with her, then he will be out of her way; he tells her to be careful with Valentin.  Anna says she can take care of herself; he says he never doubted that.
