10-23-2017 (Monday) To Friendship!

Ava scoffs at the note Patient 6 left her; she gets a visit from Kiki.  Kiki tells her mother that Scotty is worried about her; she asks Ava if she is really paying men to have sex with her.  Kiki apologizes for getting her all riled up, thinking that she drove her mother to do this; Ava says she only said that to get Scott off her back, because she didn’t want to tell him who she had been with.  Kiki sees ‘Patient 6’s note and thinks it is from the man her mother slept with; Ava just smiles and says no.  She tells Kiki about her meeting this man in Russia, helped him, and saw him again here in Port Charles; she tells Kiki he asked her to take a note to Sonny of all people, and she did.  Kiki teases her, asking again who the guy is she was with; Ava says she isn’t going to tell right now, but she knows he cares about her and that’s what matters.  Kiki tries her skills at deductive reasoning; she figures out it was Griffin.  Ava confesses, saying, for the first time in a long time, she feels human; Kiki says she’s happy for her.  She says she has to get to work; Ava asks to ride along.

Griffin stares at his priest pouch, goblet, etc.; Anna comes to visit.  They ask how each of their trips went; each say they went well.  Anna asks Griffin if he has heard any gossip about her and Dr. Finn; he asks why and Anna says it’s complicated.  She wants to explain to him because she knows she can trust Griffin to be discrete; he tells her he is no longer a priest.  She is surprised to hear this, although she says she knows he has been questioning this for a while.  He tells her she was right about him trying to avoid making a choice; Anna asks what happened that prompted the choice.  He says he finally found closure, but Anna knows it was more about Ava than anything else; she asks Griffin if he has lost his mind.  He says no, reminding her that he still believes in redemption; for some reason, Anna isn’t honest with him about Finn.  She tells him they are together; Griffin gives her three reasons she shouldn’t be, then backs off, saying, “it’s your life.”  They agree to each go down their separate paths and see where they go; Anna is all but crying, but Griffin appears firm with the decision.

The Russian henchmen talk in the sauna; they tell the leader that they watched outside of Sam Morgan’s house all night… Patient 6 never showed.  This leader says they will catch him, when he feels one of the people he cares about is not safe; he will intervene, this man says, and they will be waiting.Liz finds Franco sketching again; I think it’s supposed to be Jason’s twin as he imagined him grown up – sort of looks like our newer Jason.  ‘Jason’ asks Sonny about the encounter they had on the bridge with the man we know as our old Jason; ‘Jason’ is concerned for Sonny’s safety.  Franco won’t show Liz the picture; he does his best to avoid her questions about what his mom told him and says he is ready to just focus on the future.  She likes the sound of that and leaves him to work; she is taking Jake costume shopping.

Jason questions why Sonny is working so hard to “give this guy the benefit of doubt” because of a note about things that happened 20 years ago; Sonny says he never told anyone else... only he and Jason knew about this.  He questions whether Sonny might have just forgot telling some one about the money he loaned 'him' outside of Luke’s that night.  They try to figure out if this man could be connected to the phone tapping.

Sam goes over the invitations for the press release; Carly reviews her liquor inventory – she says a “happy reporter equals a great review.”  They talk about how much Jason has “evolved” and how excited they are for the future; Sam says if they can be as successful as Carly has been with the Metro Court, they’ll be thrilled, but the important thing is that this puts Jason’s past in the past.  Regardless, Carly says, they will always be friends; Sam agrees.  They are summoned to Sonny’s; ‘Jason’ says the Federal Investigation Diane said was probably going to happen may already be here.  Because Julian was a known mobster, and with Jason’s connection to Sonny, the Feds are going to assume the purchase is a front for mob business.  Jason says they should go ahead with the launch as planned; Sonny says maybe not.  He thinks he should stay away; they argue, lovingly.  They pop a bottle of champagne and ‘Jason’ makes a toast; he says they are not going to “hide” who their friends are, and make sure Sonny and Carly are going to come to the launch.  They toast to friendship.

Franco shows up at Andre’s office; Andre tells him he has been expecting him.  He tells Andre that he couldn’t stop thinking about the twin painting; he says he thought if he sketched it over and over he could find the answers.  He tells Andre if he thinks he should tell Liz and Jason both the truth, he will; Andre says he shouldn’t.  He says this could simply be another fabrication of his mother’s; Franco asks about regression.  Andre says they can try that in a later session; he says Franco should wait until he is certain in his own mind about what happened before he tells anyone else.  Franco thanks him and says he feels better.  Liz is in the hallway with Jake; he tells her he saw that guy in the park and he looked “like dad before his face changed.”  That seems to freak her out; she says they have to make one stop before they go costume shopping.  She wants him to talk to Dr. Maddox about the man he saw; Jake tells his mom the man was friendly.  Andre is on the phone with one of the Russian henchmen; he says if they connect the dots they will know it all.
