07-05-2017 (Wednesday) The Fate of Valentin

Jason reassures Sam that they are “in this together” and he gets a text from Sonny, asking if he is free.  Molly tries to prepare her mother to meet Aunt Stella – reminding her not to mention Julian or Sonny and what they do; Stella says it’s nice to meet her.  They talk about being a grandma; Stella says her sister’s kids are her kids.  Jason takes Sam to see the doctor; he is disappointed when she wants to go in alone.  She suggests he take the time to go see what Sonny wants.  When the doctor fifnds nothing physically wrong with Sam, he asks what’s up; she tells him, after some humming and hawing, that there is definitely something off in her life.  Stop this Sam, he’ll get the wrong idea - you’ll have to go away and then you won’t be able to protect Jason from Sonny.”  She lies, saying she probably just as a virus or something.  The doctor insists she tell him more about her short temper; he says it’s understandable and thinks she could be presenting with post-partum depression.

Sonny tells Jason that he and Carly changed their minds about the divorce; Jason says he’s glad about that.  He asks him what makes him think he can pull off getting out of the business though; Sonny asks if he doubts his sincerity or his ability.  Jason says neither; but he points out that anyone that comes in could be more dangerous, and retiring isn’t going to happen overnight.  Jason says he needs a successor; he asks if that’s why he is there.  Sonny guarantees him, it is not; he just says he wants him in on his plan, so he can be prepared too.  They toast to a peaceful transition, and whatever is coming next; Jason says, whatever it is, they will handle it.  Test results come back to show Sam as iron deficient; she sees Sonny sitting across the room, and he says the doctor can’t fix what’s wrong with her.  Sonny tells her the only way to solve her problem is to get rid of it; the doctor hands her a card for a follow up appointment and tells her to call if she needs to come back sooner.  He leaves the room; she looks at the scalpel on the tray.  She goes to see Sonny; he tells her she just missed Jason – he went to pick her up.  She tells Sonny she came to see him and stabs him three or four times in the torso.

Jordan tells Curtis she has to arrest him…  she remains straight-faced until after telling him it is for unlawful access to medical records; she cracks a smile.  He invites her out for a drink; she accepts – just a drink she says.  They end up making out in the elevator and going to back his place to make love; when she wakes up, she says she thinks she’s made another mistake.  He tells her they deserve happiness; she tells him to float that by Stella.  He says her feelings aren’t the only ones to consider.  He says them being together might piss his auntie off, but it isn’t going to destroy her life; but them he says, they are on the verge of building something special and he won’t give that up.  Andre and Anna laugh after they get done dancing; she suggests he put a dance floor in his office to cure his patients and they share a very romantic kiss.  Anna steps away after a moment, and says, “that happened.”  Stella asks Alexis a difficult question; after Alexis says she would stay out of her daughter’s life choices, Stella asks what if one of her daughters hooked up with somebody that was responsible for the death of her other daughter.  Alexis apologizes for overstepping, if she did; Stella says it’s just not a one-size fits all thing and tells Alexis she has a very big heart.  Then she says she doesn’t interfere; she just has a knack for making her feelings known in a way that gets results; Alexis nods her head.

Nina’s accepts a call from Valentin; he tells her it’s good to hear her voice.  He is in prison garb and sounds raspy, and looks haggard.  He says he’s done a few favors to earn phone privileges; adds that he misses her and still loves her.  She doesn’t know what to say; she asks if they’ve set a trial date… he says there isn’t going to be any trial.  Andre tells her he didn’t mean that; Anna says because they are just friends – he agrees, and says they could go back to the way it was.  Anna says okay, unless he’d rather go back to her place; they discuss whether or not it would affect their friendship to hook up.  Valentine tells her the WSB is embarrassed about the chimera ever existing; he says they aren’t going to have a trial.. are going to make him disappear.  She says she will splash it all over the media; he tells her not to – he says she should just forget she ever knew him.  She calls Anna, interrupting her moment with Andre.  She tells Anna she is really concerned that the WSB is going to “disappear Valentin.”  Anna insists that Valentin is going to stand trial, as far as she knows; she assures her they are not going to kill him.  Nina seems to be regretting telling Anna where he was.  Valentin writes Nina a letter, thanking her for giving him the chance to be better and promising that he will always love her.  He asks her to please stay in Charlotte’s life, saying she is the best gift he ever gave her.  Anna tells Nina it might be better for both of them if she just doesn’t answer the next time Valentin calls  Anna goes by the hospital to see of Andre wants to pick back up where they left off; she smiles sheepishly.  A man in a suit comes in to get Valentine.

Stella is upset when Curtis walks into the cafĂ© with Jordan; she lets her unhappiness be known, but Curtis says she is just going to have to learn to live with it.  Stella gets an offended look on her face and seems to freeze in position; Jordan says she doesn’t expect her blessing, she just wants to be able to exist co-exist respectfully… Stella falls to the floor.
