Jason gets home; Sam runs to him and hugs him.    She gets upset when she sees the bandage on his arm, and he tells her he “got grazed” – she inquires if Garvey shot him, and he tells her, “actually, it was Carly.”  Carly tells Sonny that she thinks he is playing himself; she reminds him that no one ever really leaves his line of work.  She says the business chooses to leave him; the only way for him to get out is to die of natural causes or for someone to kill him.  She asks what his plan is, mentioning the witness protection program as an option; he says she’s getting carried away.  She continues, giving scenarios of things that might happen if he steps out of the picture; she asks what if his successor isn’t as strong as him, if he doesn’t think there might be an all out war for his territory.  Jason tries to calm Sam down, assuring her that he is fine; she rants that he should be more worried about his own family, then Sonny.  He asks if they can talk about this an other time; she goes upstairs.  Jason talks to Monica, asking if she’s noticed changes in Sam; she says changing after having children is normal… Sam’s is reorganizing priorities, she says.

Julian tells Alexis she should “take a night off… maybe take a risk” and she seems to consider it, until Kristina walks up and sees them talking.  Julian asks Kristina if her father is okay; she asks why he wouldn’t be.  When he tells her about the warning he gave Sonny, she asks why he cares about warning her father.  When Sam comes back out, after Monica leaves, Jason tells Sam this wasn’t Sonny’s fault; he asks if she and Sonny had an argument he isn’t aware of because it seems the mention of his name sets her off.  She takes offense.  He tells her, her reactions have been disproportionate; she gets defensive, especially when he suggests she see a doctor.  Carly asks Sonny who is going to fill his shoes, adding that it can’t be Jason; he says, five years ago, it could have been.  She hugs Sonny and tells him that was five years ago; she says there is no one else that can do it – she says, “it’s you” and kisses him on the cheek.

Sonny’s phone rings; it’s Kristina.  She is upset about the shooting; she tells him she thought things were going to change after Morgan, and says she’s tired of getting phone calls about someone being hurt, tells him she can’t take any more of his empty promises and tells him to just get home safe.  Carly tells Sonny that she understands Kristina’s frustration; she then apologizes for changing the rules on him.  He tells her, one way or another, eventually, he will be done with “this life.”  Sam does not understand why her worrying about Jason makes him think she is crazy; she starts screaming at him and wakes up Scout.  He tells her this is not her; he says she doesn’t do this, something is wrong and they need to find out what.  She takes a few deep breaths and admits that everything may not be okay with her.  She admits that she has been feeling “antsy” ever since Scout was born; she says she thought that it would pass.  She agrees to get checked out just to make sure that nothing else is going on; he suggests maybe they could also get a part-time nanny.  He tells her she is not alone in this and promises they will take care of whatever this is; she says okay and kisses him.

Alexis goes back in and talks to Kristina; Kristina asks her what is really going on with her and Julian.  She says she doesn’t want a “re-do” with Julian; she says she actually wanted a drink, but got a banana split instead… then explains how Julian found her.  Kristina says it’s a good thing she found Alexis, and asks what will happen next time she catches herself with Julian and she isn’t there to save her from herself; she leaves.  Sonny makes a phone call and arranges the sale of Pozzulo’s (his restaurant), telling Carly it is just the beginning; he plans to dismantle his organization bit by bit.

Kiki talks to Obrecht, who tells her Monica is stingy with promotions and raises, then adds that the hospital won’t always be under her leadership.  She tells Kiki she is going to be reinstated and suggests Kiki could be an important part of her staff; she asks Kiki to “keep [her] informed” of what the other staff is doing and talking about.  Kiki looks a little confused.  Hayden tells Curtis she’s not sure about being a mother; he asks if she is worried about being a good mother, or about being a mother at all.  As she recounts her family history, she asks if he thinks she wants to pass that mess onto another generation; she adds that this wasn’t planned, and that Finn is still struggling to stay in recovery.  She asks what kind of a life she would be offering this child; Finn steps forward.  He says he just got there; Curtis asks about the suspicion that Obrecht is altering his tests and they discuss what they know.   Monica comes home and asks what they are talking about; they tell her Curtis is going to help them find the “dirty doctor” – Monica is all on board when they tell her that doctor is Obrecht.  Monica says Obrecht is not a woman, easily fooled; Hayden tells her that Curtis is very good, adding that he has worked with Jason before.

Monica invites Curtis on a “field trip.”  Hayden and Finn, now alone, get to talk; she realizes that he overheard her talking to Curtis.  She explains that it’s just the timing; he chuckles and says, it may not be the perfect time for them to have a baby, but this is the time they have and they need to make the best of it.  Monica dresses Curtis in an IT security uniform; Kiki sees her and tells her that Obrecht just asked her to spy for her.  Monica tells Kiki, if Obrecht wants her to spy for her, then that’s exactly what she is going to do.  Now Kiki looks extremely confused.
