07-21-2017 (Friday) Where, Oh Where Art Thou, Spencer?

Bobbie asks Carly if there’s been any progress finding Spencer; Carly says no and tells her that Sonny is using his connections (even though he was trying to severe them) to try to find Spencer.  Carly tells her mother that Joslyn thinks it’s all her fault; she mentions Oscar being a lifeguard at Lila’s Kids now, and whines that Jos will be seeing him every day.  Bobbie says, “ah, Summer romance” and it hits Carly hard; this is a romance.  She says she is not ready for this.  Bobbie offers the advice of keeping the lines of communication open and to be there for her; Carly says she just doesn’t want her to be the type of teenage girl ‘they’ were.  Jos wanders out into the living room; they admit they were talking about her.  Bobbie leaves and Carly tells Jos they are going to spend the day together; she asks Jos if Oscar is her “boyfriend.”  Jos says she and Oscar are just friends; she tells her mom she barely knows him.  Carly tells Jos that she doesn’t want him pressuring her into anything, like drinking; Jos says he didn’t pressure her.  Jos tells her mom she doesn’t even know him; Carly tells her they should change that.  She says she wants to meet Oscar; Jos says, “no.”  She tells her she’s afraid she will embarrass her; Carly laughs about how rough these teenage years are going to be and tells her to call Oscar.  She says she won’t embarrass her too much.

Laura comes to see Sonny; he guarantees her they will get Spencer back.  She thanks him for doing all he can; they talk about Valentin.  Sonny tells her he will “get him in transfer, or get him at home” saying, either way, he is going to get him.  She thanks him and leaves.  Sam has an argument with the hallucination of Sonny; he says he knows he’s made things difficult for her, but he only wants what’s best for their family.  She says he only wants what’s best for him; Sonny asks what he can say, adding Jason gets results.  Sam says, “oh yeah, well so do I.”  Jason walks in the room and asks her who she is talking to; she lies about some app that records your voice for your baby.  She tells Jason she is feeling great; he can tell something is still not right though.  He hugs her; she looks across the room and sees Sonny smiling at her.

Someone knocks on the door; it’s Sonny.  Sam says she has to take Scout’s blanket to Molly and leaves; Sonny asks if she’s okay and Jason says he doesn’t know.  Sonny tells Jason he wouldn’t bother him, but tells him Spencer is missing; Jason says he heard.  Sonny says Valentin needs to be stopped; Jason asks if he wants him to stop Valentin.  Sonny says the cops are all over it so it would have to be low-key; Jason tells him he’s in.  He understands this is family; he says he’ll do what he can.  Sonny asks if Sam is going to be alright with this; he says she will understand – he’s looking for a little kid, someone she’s related to – it’s okay he says.

Ava dumps all of her makeup from her makeup bag in the garbage; she says there isn’t enough paint in the world to cover her new face.  She orders a case of vodka, to be delivered; she tells them to be quick about it.  The delivery man comes promptly; Ava tries to get away without opening the door until he left, but he says he has to see who’s signing for it.  She opens the door and says, “boo.”  Sam goes to see her father and finds Ava passed out on the couch.  Sam can’t believe her father isn’t there with her; Ava says she told him to leave.  She inquires about Ava’s drinking, saying, she needs to think of Avery; Ava says when Avery looks at her, she doesn’t see her mother, she sees a monster.  She goes to get Sam some coffee and offers her some Vodka; Sam tells her she is not a monster, and says she can close her self up from the world and concede victory to Sonny, or she can reclaim her life the way she wants it.  She encourages Ava to put on the mask; they both look in the mirror.

Nina makes a call; she tells her broker she wants to withdraw of the money from a certain account.  He tries to talk her out of it, but she says she knows what she’s doing.  Nathan tells Valentin if he knows anything about what has happened to Spencer, now would be the time to talk.  An officer comes in and tells Nathan that Cassadine’s bail has been posted; Nina comes in to pick him up.  Nathan goes to get her paperwork.  Valentin thanks Nina, but tells her she doesn’t have to get involved; she says she is already involved.  She tells him she believes him and will stand behind him, but adds that it doesn’t mean she’s coming back to him.  Laura is irate when she sees Nina taking Valentin home; she screams at her and then breaks down crying.  She leaves in frustration; Nina starts crying and says, “I’m trying to put myself in her place and I just can’t” then Nathan tells her to imagine if it was her sister.

Nina gets irritated and turns away; Nathan tells her he’s concerned because he knows she is going to take Valentine back; he says she’s just making him jump through hoops before she does. He tells her if she does, and Valentin breaks her heart again, she’ll have to find someone else to pick up the pieces.  He can’t do it anymore, he says.  Laura chases Valentin down and begs him to return her grandson; he tells her she is wasting her time because he had nothing to do with Spencer’s disappearance.  She points out that Spencer is no threat to him; he tells her that makes his point for him… he tries to walk away and she grabs him.  He wishes her luck with her search and pulls away from her, turning to walk away again; she grabs a pry bar off a crate and hits over the back of the head.  Valentin gets back up, not hurt too bad; he says he will get her for that… Jason comes out from behind him and puts his arm around Valentin’s throat.  Valentin passes out and Jason tells Laura to get out of there; Sonny gets a text – a picture of Spencer sitting in the basement of wherever he is.  Sam sees Sonny again, who tells her, “it looks like you were wrong Samantha,” about who would have Jason and for how long.  Sam goes to the closet and gets out a gun; she heads out the door.
