02-09-2017 (Thursday) Tick, Tock

Andre asks Hayden if what he has heard is true; she says it’s the only way to save the hospital, laying people off.  He tells her that she is welcome to come and see him if she needs to talk, unless he is on the list to be laid off.  Jordan calls Curtis to her office to tell him that Buz came back to Port Charles; she thanks him for writing the note that convinced him to return.  She apologizes for the way she has recently treated him, telling him that on some level, he is right; she doesn’t want him working with her because of her feelings for him.  He laughs at the thought that she might want to be ‘friends’ but she insists that is what she wants.  He tells her he has no interest in being her friend, he cannot respect her boundaries and they are done.  She asks him to wait as he walks out the door; Andre is standing there.  He says he thinks they need to talk about Curtis; Jordan concedes.  She says she has to tell him what happened in Baltimore.  She only admits to kissing Curtis, without going into further detail.  She says she has told Curtis that they can’t be together because she is with him; Andre says he doesn’t think she is with him.  He tells her that he thinks they need to break up, saying this isn’t healthy for either of them.

Alexis is on the phone.  She thanks “Liv” for listening to her go on and on; then asks if she really has to do that ‘amends’ thing with the girls because she isn’t looking forward to it.  Sam comes to see her mom; Alexis can tell that something is wrong.  She tells her mom about the stress test and then asks if she is ready for tonight; Alexis says no but that it helps to have her there. Molly and Kristina walk in the door, popping the top on a bottle of sparkling cider.  They carry on about the great things she is going to do; they tell her the nurses at GH might need her help.  She stops them and tells them that she is not ready to get her license back; she says she needs time to recover, admitting to them that she is an alcoholic.  They look stunned.  Krisina asks how she didn’t see it when she was living there; Alexis says she didn’t want her to see it.  They try to blame Julian; Alexis says this is not Julian’s fault.  She explains why she started drinking and how it happened.  She makes her apologies and says that she hopes they can all forgive her; Sam tells her mother that she forgives her.  Kristina does not forgive her mother and says that she is not going to; she screams at her mother about the way she treated her over Parker, about running Parker out of her life, and about being a such a self-righteous hypocrite.  Molly hugs her mother and tells her that she forgives her; Alexis stands up and apologies again to Kristina, saying she hopes one day that she can make it up to her.  Kristina leaves in a fit of anger; Molly goes after her.  Sam hugs her mother and tells her to call her sponsor, reminding her that she is there for her too; she says to let her know if she needs her and leaves.  The girls go to the pub to talk; they laugh about the baby as it moves, looking like an alien.  Julian walks in, but immediately steps back out of the door when he sees the girls.

Jason meets Julian at the hospital; he tells him to make it fast, saying he only agreed to meet him because he was already here.  Julian says he hopes he doesn’t have to do anything as drastic as poisoning his coffee again to make him listen to him; Jason says no, he will leave the dirty details about the bomb-planting to him and his sister.  Julian looks confused; he asks what makes Jason think Ava is still part of the Jerome organization, insisting that she’s not.  Olivia Jerome walks off the elevator, past Julian and Jason; Julian says he has to go to a therapy appointment.  He asks Liv what she is doing there; she says she is keeping an eye on him because she doesn’t trust him.

Carly comes to see Sonny and finds Dante standing there, holding the ankle bracelet.  Ava asks Sonny what he is doing out and about; he tells her the cops can’t help her now after what she did to Morgan.  She asks what he is talking about; he says he knows what she did.  She recalls switching out Morgan’s medication.  She starts to apologize, saying she didn’t know it would go that far; he asks what she thought would happen after planting the bomb.  She turns, obviously confused, and says she wasn’t talking about the bomb; Sonny asks what she is talking about then.  She simply says he has spent too much time alone and his imagination is running wild; she says she wouldn’t do anything to hurt her brother.  He insists that he heard Julian on tape crying about being tired of being afraid of his sister; she swears she doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

Hayden meets Curtis at the pub; she tells him about her frustrations with the GH budget, and he tells her about his woes over being put in the ‘friend zone’ by someone he doesn’t want to be there with.  She asks about this girl; he says they made out and it was hot… he knows she is interested – but, he explains, she has a boyfriend and has this idea of a life where everything is tidy and uncomplicated.  Hayden says some people like boring and uncomplicated; he explains that she’s made a mistake before so she’s just playing it safe.  Hayden asks if there isn’t any hope; he says only if she dumps the chump and realizes that she wants him.  They laugh about having a genuine friendship; Hayden suggests now that he’s walked away, this woman might break up with her boyfriend.  He tells Hayden this woman slapped him and then turns around and wants to be friends with him.  Why would he want that, he asks; she suggests he doesn’t want a woman who’s simple.

Jason shows up at Sonny’s only to find out Sonny is missing; he goes to look for him – Dante says he can’t let him go, but Carly begs Dante to let him go.  She asks him if he really wants to go after his father again, if he wants to arrest him again… or if he just wants this to be over.  He says this could cost him his badge, so he hopes that Carly is hiring at the hotel; she tells him, as his son, the kindest thing he can do is let this go.  Dante argues that he believes in the law… flash to Ava’s gallery, where Ava is pleading for her life as Sonny holds her own gun on her; he tells her he wanted to kill her before because of what she did to Connie, but she was pregnant, he felt sorry for her.  He tells her if she wants to play with the big boys and act like a mobster, the first rule she needs to learn is that you pay for what you do.  Jason walks in and tells Sonny to put the gun down.  Jason warns Sonny if he does this, he will lose everything.  Carly and Dante are still arguing about whether he should go after him or not; she tells him that if she knew who killed their son, she would probably want to kill them herself.  She assures Dante that Sonny won’t kill Ava though, because he knows if he does anything violent she will leave him for good.  Jason begs Sonny to hand him the gun and go home to his wife.
