Nina comes into the office, basically talking to herself, even though she thinks Maxie is listening to her; when she realizes she isn’t, she walks back out into the reception area.  Nina asks Maxie if there is a problem; Maxie stands up and says, “yes.”  She tells her she is upset that Nina and “her husband” are keeping her best friend from her daughter.  Nina tells Maxie that Lulu is only thinking of herself and that’s no way to raise a child… she also says Valentin gives his daughter security and stability and Charlotte adores him.  Even though Maxie finds it difficult, they agree to disagree and just not talk about things related to Charlotte, for the sake of the magazine.  Nina gets a call from the nanny, saying she has a family emergency and must leave; Nina tells her to bring Charlotte to the office.  After Charlotte is there, she gets a call from an angry advertising client, threatening to pull all of their adds if Nina doesn’t meet with her immediately.  Maxie tells Nina to go; she says she has no problem keeping an eye on Charlotte there at the office.

Jason and Curtis are shocked to hear Julian refer to this woman as his “own sister”- Jason tries to look through binoculars; he says he can see the back of a blonde woman.  They wonder if it is Ava.  Julian and his sister have a few more words and she orders him to get going and to do as she has instructed.  Jason and Curtis determine that Ava must be the one responsible for putting the bomb in Julian’s car; they obviously don’t notice that Olivia sounds nothing like Ava.  Jason begins to wonder if Julian could have another sister that he doesn’t know about; supposedly they couldn’t hear her talking when the music was off.  He heads back to Sonny's.

Felix is surprised to see Elizabeth at work, and says he stands in awe of her.  He says he wouldn’t have come into work after everything that happened to her; she smiles and says, “that’s what ‘we’ nurses do, isn’t it?”  Hayden and Michael discuss the hospital board’s proposals for keeping the hospital open; Hayden says she doesn’t want to make any cuts either, but it’s the only way they can save GH.  They agree this isn’t going to be easy, but in the long run it will help people; Nurse Amy rounds the corner to hear them saying it is going to be really hard to do.  She questions what is going to be hard to do.  Amy presses to find out if the hospital is closing again; Hayden says they are just looking at their options.  Amy walks away saying she knows what that means.  She begins to spread the word.  Elizabeth confronts Hayden about the rumors of job cuts now circulating the hospital; Hayden swears that is not what she wants to do, but admits that she may not have a choice.  Elizabeth walks away, saying she thought Hayden had changed; thought she had actually started caring about people.  Liz asks her if she is going to fire her own sister, then turns and walks away.  Hayden stresses over what else she can do to cut the budget that won’t cost people their jobs; the nurses get together and decide that they are going to call a union rep… they are going to fight back.

Carly and Sonny discuss the foundation they want to set up in Morgan’s name; Carly says as soon as Nelle comes back down with those tax forms, they can get started.  Nelle asks herself where “this” would have the most effect… she sticks the bra down between the mattress and the headboard of Sonny’s bed.  She comes back down, saying she has the forms, holding a folder tightly, and says she will take them back to the office and put them with the other papers.  Carly thanks her, saying she has made this situation so much easier (although I don’t truly understand how); Nelle says she has to find a way to ‘pay them back’ for all they’ve done, still smiling.  Carly and Sonny get a little intimate after she leaves and start to head upstairs, just as Jason comes in; he says he and Sonny need to talk.  Carly excuses herself, saying she should get going anyway.  Jason tells Sonny most of what he and Curtis learned, but leaves out the fact that whoever this woman is, Julian is answering to, is supposedly his sister.  Sonny senses that he is leaving something out.

Alexis runs into Julian at the Metro Court; Julian says he just came from a trying meeting.  Alexis is just waiting for her coat, she says, on her way to an AA meeting; Julian tells her he’s glad to hear that.  She says she has accepted that she is an alcoholic, whether she goes to meetings or not; she says her sponsor has helped her realize that.  Julian recalls meeting her “sponsor” (his sister, Olivia).  He wishes her the best.

Michael comes to the Metro Court and sees Nelle, who is sitting down to have a cup of coffee; she invites him to join her and he does, although he tells her he might not be the best company right now.  She asks what the matter is, and he shares his concerns about having to cut jobs in order to save the hospital as a whole.  Carly shows up, carrying flowers that had been delivered for Nelle; Nelle takes them and says she is going to get back to work.  Carly apologizes to Michael, saying she knows that must have been awkward for him; he says it’s fine.  He tells her he’s okay being Nelle’s friend, even if nothing more; he then shares with her Joslyn having peeked at the card the other day, and reveals that Nelle’s mystery-boyfriend signed the card with the initial “S.”  Sonny calls up the man who provided the surveillance equipment and asks if everything was recorded remotely; he is informed that it was.  Sonny then tells the man to bring the audio and video footage to him so he can review it himself.
