Alexis is sworn in; Paul
tries to question her about the recording, Scotty objects and the judge
sustains his objection. Alexis tries
describing the events of that day, but she gets obviously flustered and
confused, recalling the conversation between them… eventually saying Julian
told her he was guilty of the crime of loving her so much. Paul, leading her to say that Julian
admitted to her that he killed Carlos; the judge tells Alexis that she looks like
she’s under the influence. Alexis
insists she is alright, but the judge orders the jury to strike Alexis
testimony about the confession.
Alexis
is clearly distraught, as clips of his attempts to kill her play in her mind,
him taking her to the dock, holding the knife to her neck – Sonny and Jordan
discuss whether or not Alexis has been drinking. The judge calls for another recess; Sam asks Alexis if she had a
drink (Jordan comes out, saying that’s what she wants to know) and Alexis
admits to having had one. Jordan looks
pissed. Alexis swears it was just a
small glass of wine; she says her frustration is because he is staring at her,
and she can’t think with him staring at her.
Court is called back into session; Alexis gets back on the stand, more composed
than before. It’s Scotty’s turn to
cross-examine her; she admits that she knew about Julian’s history and
“erroneous” link to Duke’s murder. He
begins to badger a bit; Paul objects, the judge sustains. Alexis says she doesn’t believe in violence,
and Scotty brings up her hitting a boy with a car, years ago, because he had allegedly hit
her daughter, and her stabbing Alcazar and pushing him off the balcony… Julian
stands up and tells Scotty to leave his wife alone. The judges tells him to sit down; Scotty continues questioning
and Alexis is not clear in her answers whatsoever.
Sam gets frustrated and stands up, saying he did in fact do
it. The judge orders Sam to sit down. Scotty questions Alexis a while longer, and
when Alexis steps down from the witness stand, she faints; Julian rushes out to
catch her. Monica wakes up; she now has
the breathing tube out of her throat.
Jason is still there; he tells her that the killer injected her with
Derisifol. She tells Jason she
remembers him telling her there is going to be another grandchild; she says it
gave her the incentive to wake up.
Tracy comes in to talk to Monica; she tells her that Sabrina was the one
who found her – and then tells her that she was murdered… probably by the same
person who tried to kill her. Monica is
stunned. Dante and Felix discuss who would
or could have done this to Sabrina; Dante says it is someone with access, someone
in plain view – and someone they would never expect.
Dante tells Michael that they need to take Sabrina to get DNA
evidence as soon as possible; he asks for just a few more minutes with her. He is having a really hard time telling her
goodbye; Jason comes in and puts his hand on Michael’s shoulder
(tear-jerking). Dante determines this
was an act of desperation on the part of the murderer, to keep Sabrina quiet;
they, and Tracy and Monica, determine that they are going to have to close the
doors of General Hospital before anybody else gets hurt.
As Felix says his goodbyes to Sabrina, he
recalls moments with her (from the time they both came on the show, including
her transformation from geek to beauty, preparation to marry Patrick,
devastation after Robin’s return, and life since). Carly is trying to reach Michael; Nelle shows up for work. Nina comes in, obviously confused about who
Nelle is (thinking she is a pregnant girl).
She apologizes. Once they are
formally introduced, Nelle thanks Nina for arranging her visit to Port Charles,
to meet Joslyn’s family. Nina says she
was glad to be able to help; she then says, if Nelle is going to work for
Carly, she needs a new outfit and she grabs her hand to take her up to Crimson
to pick one out. When Michael finally
shows up to talk to Carly, she begins to apologize, telling him if he wants to
marry Sabrina, he should marry Sabrina – Michael tells her it doesn’t matter
anymore – Sabrina is dead.
