Anna comes back to town; Griffin meets her at the diner and they discuss Julian, and the fact that he got away with murder.  Anna is in disbelief; Griffin asks if she is okay.  Nathan tells Maxie he will have the results from the paternity test within the hour; they discuss the possibility that he could be Charlotte’s father.  Maxie admits to Nathan (as they have lunch) that a few years ago, she would not have wanted him to have anything to do with the child, because she wouldn’t want him to have anything to do with the mother – but, she says, she understands now what it is like to be a parent and she would want him to know his daughter.

Claudette comes by the table and Maxie excuses herself; Claudette gets obviously uncomfortable when Nathan tells her the results will be back shortly (she thought she had more time, for whatever)… instantly, she tells him she has to go, and leaves.  She goes to talk to Griffin, telling him he may be the father.

Anna goes to Paul’s hotel room, but finds Olivia there instead; she asks if she can leave Paul a note – Olivia says sure, and asks her to lock up when she leaves.  Anna finds a file full of papers about the hospital killings; she says to herself that it must just be his research.  She goes to put it back in the drawer and finds that set of cufflinks they have been looking for.

Paul sees Tracy standing by the door of his daughter’s room and asks what she is doing there; she says she just came to see Susan because she found this address for her.  Paul explains that something happened, and his daughter does not talk anymore; she uses ‘signals’ he said and she just let him know that she wanted to be left alone.  He invites Tracy out to dinner; she declines, but then concedes… he realizes he doesn’t have his wallet and tells her he needs to stop by his cabin to get it.  He takes her to a place in a remote area, apparently and Tracy looks very nervous.  Paul finds his wallet, but tells Tracy that he thinks they should order in instead of going anywhere; she says she wants to stick to the original plan.  Paul says he is sorry, but he can’t let her leave.  He locks the door.

Morgan is, once again, attempting to try to write a paper for school; Kiki walks up and asks if he’s almost done.  He looks at three words that he has typed on the page.  She asks to read what he’s written right now and Morgan gets defensive; she apologizes and he kisses her hand.  Alexis is truly not happy to see Julian; she immediately raises the empty wine bottle, holding it by the neck and tells him he better leave because she won’t hesitate to kill him if he comes near her again.  He says he is just there to bring her the signed divorce papers; then he asks what happened at his trial…she tells him, it was because of him and that smug look that was on his face.  He hands her the divorce papers, which he has signed, but pleads with her to change her mind and give him another chance; she calls for a restraining order, and he leaves.

Hayden comes to see Elizabeth, he new-found sister; Liz tries to be nice, but Hayden tells her she is not there to ‘be sisters’… she hands her a paper (it’s a bill) of expenses that Hayden expects Liz to pay.  Paul tells Tracy he is just there to interview Monica again, hoping she will remember more than she did when the cops interviewed her.  Tracy refuses to allow him to see her; he leaves upset.  Franco goes to see his mother again; for some reason, she thinks he is the one who pushed Liz down the stairs.  He gets really pissed when she tells him she thinks he is the hospital killer.  She suggests that he start painting again, as therapy.

Paul shows up at a clinic, where he goes to see his daughter, Susan; apparently, she has some traumatic memory or something else wrong with her; when he tries to come near her, she runs across the room and sits on her bed. He talks to her, with no response from her, wishing her a happy birthday; he tells her he couldn’t give her all the presents he wanted to, but that he got a lot of them.  He says he got rid of everyone who ever hurt her (well, except for Monica Quartermaine) and begs her to come back now, asking her to blow out the candle on the cake he brought; she still just sits with a blank stare on her face, and he begins to weep. Tracy shows up and happens to hear all of this, standing just outside the hospital room door.

Alexis comes down her stairs, smelling breakfast cooking.  When she asks who made breakfast, Julian stands up – he says, he’s a free man… where else would he be?  She is relieved when she wakes up on the couch and realizes it was all a dream; there are several empty bottles of wine on the coffee table.  Sam comes over to see her and tells her she looks terrible, pointing out three bottles of wine.

Nina comes into the office to find Julian sitting in her chair (this is not a dream); he says he is going to take back what is his; Nina is stunned.  He claims, then, that it’s the budget.  She tells him that she has proof he tried to sabotage the magazine and she will turn him in for it, if he tries to shut it down again; he says it’s going to be interesting to work with her again.  Morgan tells Kiki he decided not to go to the funeral because he doesn’t feel like he could trust himself not to lose it; Kiki talks to Dillon.  Dillon tells her she is incredibly crazy fun to be around and a really good friend; he wishes she wouldn’t pull away so much… and he suggests that she reach out to Michael, about Sabrina.

Nelle made a memorial website for Sabrina, for Micheal …Michael tells Nelle that adding pictures with Teddy on the site would be a good thing, so he could go back and look at it someday, to see how close he was with his mother.  Paul tells Tracy that he is the reason Sabrina is dead (she doesn’t believe him, or doesn’t think he is speaking literally); he looks like he is in shock.  She tells him it is natural to feel responsible; he feels like he should have caught the killer… (of course, she doesn’t even conceive that he IS the killer).  Dillon comes and tells her that when he told his dad about her, he acted real funny, almost like it was personal.  Tracey all of the sudden says she knows what it is; but she is thinking it is just that Sabrina is about the same age as his daughter, Susan.

She asks Dillon to reach out to Susan.  Sonny talks with Jason about Julian; Jason tries to tell him not to do anything.  He says Julian is too much of a chicken to make a move; he thinks Sonny should just lay low, and apologizes for not being able to help.  Alexis tells Sam that she is going to make some calls and get herself a job consulting, since she has lost her license for a year.  She also promises Sam that she will stop drinking; she starts making calls… after many hours of trying to explain herself to potential employers, she gives up, and takes a bottle of wine to soak in the tub.  She comes own the stairs to see Julian (really and truly) sitting in the living room, waiting for her.

"Life Gets in the Way"... Personal Soap Opera Update (10/5/2016)

Kasey's grandmother continues to press the lawsuit... we spent three weeks trying to gather all possible documentation for various items BELONGING to Kasey, in response to a Request for Production, and answering Interrogatories (where we pointed out all the hours of labor Kasey has put into that house, herself, fixing it up - particularly the flooring - she has pulled up the twenty-year-old, mint-green, shag carpeting (filthy, nasty) and padding and tack strips, and laid down a nice vinyl wood flooring throughout (excepting the Master bedroom at this point, because she's a mom and always puts herself off until last).  We've also been helping friends with alot of painting, cleaning, etc., and at this point, I am exhausted!  My body went into shut-down mode last night; I dropped on my bed, and couldn't move anymore (until I woke up feeling nauseas this morning; and then it was so hard to get up).  I really don't know how Kasey does it; four kids, ranging in age from 4 to 9... and they run like a well-oiled, though sometimes slightly squeaky, machine.

Anyway, my daughter submitted a copy of her Motion for Dismissal and Answer to the stupid Petition, to the case worker for the kids and (my mother loses)... she has been informed that they are moving forward with the adoption; no reason not to, since Kasey really is in no danger of losing her home.  Sadly, I do think she has lost her grandmother; and I've lost my mom, for good.  I'm afraid there is no coming back from this.

My mother has done the most horrific thing, short of murder, as far as I am concerned... she has declared me DEAD (for the second time in a year and a half), told me I was a BIG MISTAKE, and worse in years past, but for her to come after my daughter like this - to threaten the welfare of my grandchildren and attempt to evict my child from her own home - has hurt me more than anything she's ever done before.  She is being selfish and petty, vindictive and hateful for no good reason; she's insulted my grandchildren, both biological and adopted (and has been very mean to all of them when she has come to visit in the past two years).  She has always done her best to manipulate the system to work in her favor, and to coerce our entire family into doing what she's wanted in the past (but NO MORE); my mother has gone beyond any semblance of reason to a place so far off, I can't even understand it.  Her bottom line being that she doesn't want to have to put up with the kids living there, if she should happen to decide to come back to Texas and move in with Kasey (claiming to the court that Kasey agreed to stop fostering whenever they might happen to be, and to to elder care instead, at that time... like she would just ship the kids at that point.  Like, NOT.

So I spent one morning making copies and getting them sorted and stapled, and then driving the courthouse to have them filed; got file-stamped copies and HAND-DELIVERED those to the attorney of record (a member of an "online attorney service" my mother signed up for) in Waxahachie.  Took most the morning.  I've fallen a little behind on my blogs, but I've NOT fallen behind in school!

HANG IN THERE!

I promise last week's highlights are coming... I was working for a lady I now consider a dear friend last week - Elizabeth, owner of Monticello Paints (look her up on Facebook).  She has beautiful CUSTOM COLORS and a formula that glides on smoothly, dries quickly and polishes to a shine with her FURNITURE WAX!  This week, I'm catching up on school & helping my daughter (both with a cleaning job SHE'S doing for a friend, AND with my mother's ridiculous lawsuit!)  Slept well last night ;-) so will get some posts done tonight.  Promise!  Love you all.  Dennel
