Kim sits with Oscar, while he sleeps off the side effects of the
treatment. Margaux tries to give Drew
the flash drive with all of his previous memories on it; he doesn’t believe
that’s what it really is at first. Even
if it is, he says, he isn’t willing to lose what he has now, to know what is on
it; she tells him to take it, in case one day he can use it without losing
anything. He does. He talks to Jason about it; Jason suggests he
just hang on to it and see what happens down the road. Jason goes to see Oscar; he says he doesn’t
want to upset his parents by getting in the middle of things. Oscar explains why he chose him to be his
executor; Jason says he understands, but wonders why Oscar doesn’t seem to have
much hope for this treatment to work.
Oscar tells him he is just trying to be prepared, and to maintain his
independence. Jason agrees to do
it.
