Hayden walks into the home she and Finn are buying; she talks to
her baby about how excited she is to do be doing this with it and its
daddy. She sends Finn a text. When he arrives at the house, Hayden is
laying on the floor; he gets frightened at first, but she says she is just
trying to visualize a skylight. He
tells her about Sam; she says that’s awful.
He admits that talking to Jason was tough; he says he brought back some
bad memories and made him realize, again, just how fragile life is. She says she’s sorry and they hug. They talk about the modifications she wants
to make to the house; he questions why she doesn’t like the tennis court. She says it wasn’t the court, it is what it
represents; she tells him a little about her ex husband. He says he hates tennis, and jokes that they
should blow up the court and turn it into a resort for Roxy and her
friends. She starts crying; he
questions what this is all about. She
tells him that Curtis had brought up marriage and whether or not they were
going to, or wanted to, talk about it.
As she rambles on and on, he leans in and kisses her; she asks if that
was a “yes” – he asks if that was a proposal.
She says they don’t have to, but he cuts her off and says definitely
“yes, yes, yes.” He says he just didn’t
think she would want to; he says he would love to marry her. They kiss.
Nina tells Nathan that she’s sad to hear he is willing to give up on her; Nathan says he didn’t mean he would give up on her, he just can’t keep enabling her bad decisions. Valentin walks into the station; he wants to see if they have found the actual kidnapper. Nathan receives a call from Dante, who tells him they now know who abducted Spencer; Valentin reiterates, “now you know it wasn’t me.” He demands an apology and a retraction of everything they’ve accused him of; Nina goes to get her bail money back. Nathan tells Valentin if he keeps trying to worm his way back into Nina’s life, he will regret it. Obrecht picks up Hayden’s ex… he turns her offer down; he says he wants to leave Rachel and his past behind for good. Obrecht stops him from getting out of the car; she gives him a file full of information about “Rachel’s” life since he was locked up; he agrees to take a look. Still, he tells her he is cutting his losses and suggests she do the same; Obrecht calls him a coward and says it’s no wonder Rachel left him holding the whole bag.
Nina decides to go have a drink at the Floating Rib, where she finds Obrecht, sitting at the bar alone. She apologizes for rejecting her idea for the column; Obrecht says “win some, lose some… I don’t hold a grudge.” Nina questions, “since when?” She says since she wasted so much time with those ungrateful people at GH - she says sometimes you have to do what is best for yourself, even if it is unpopular with everyone else. Nina says she should tell J that; Obrecht mocks Maxie, and says some people are just too afraid to go after what they truly want or demand what’s right for them. Nina thanks her and walks away; Obrecht hollers that she didn’t even get her drink. Valentin says Nina is allowed to make her own choices, and reminds Nathan that he and his daughter are part of this community. He says if Nina does come back to him, he will spend the rest of his life trying to make her happy, and leaves. She catches Valentin as he is leaving the hospital; she tells him he isn’t indebted to her anymore… he says he will always be indebted to her. He asks her if there is something else; she kisses him. When he asks if this means she is coming home to him, she says no and walks away.
Carly and Liz bring Garvey into the hospital; Carly demands that he tell her where Sonny is before they take him into a cubical for treatment. She tells Dante, he knows where Sonny is; Sonny struggles to keep breathing. The palettes he laid over the opening have blocked the air flow to the opening below. Elizabeth tells Dante what parking level they were on when Garvey grabbed her; she says she saw a car she didn’t recognize down there. Dante sends his men to check it out. When Carly explains to Dante how she took Garvey down, he tells her she should have been a cop. The officer brings in something from the car with the Cassadine Crest on it; Dante determines that it was Garvey who kidnapped Spencer. Sonny holds his necklace and begins to pray, asking God for forgiveness and offering a confession; he talks about being buried in his old life, says he knows Sam is in trouble and asks God to help her, and admits that he is afraid to die right now. He says he doesn’t want to leave his kids and Carly or see their lives and the future; plus he doesn’t want to die alone down there in the ground.
Jason waits and hopes Sam’s tests show some good news this time; he worries what if he just has an empty space to look forward to in their house… then stops himself. He says that’s not gonna happen; the doctors have got to figure out what to do. Griffin and Finn talk about Sam’s condition; they say the longer she remains comatose, the greater the odds of her not waking are. Jason steps out of the room to hear this. Dante tells Carly to go home; she says she has to get Garvey talk. Dante says he will get him to talk and tells her to get out of there; she sees Jason and runs to hug him. Griffin sees Elizabeth and asks what she is still doing there; he heard she took down a criminal. She gives all the credit to Carly, adding that she felt there was a guardian angel watching over her; Griffin assures her he wouldn’t laugh at the idea of an angel. Carly tells Jason Sam will pull through this; he says he hopes so. But he wonders, he says, how many of his prayers God is going to be willing to answer; Carly says, “he answers them forever” (adding at least she hopes so). Sonny continues to pray, The Lord’s Prayer now; he passes out after asking to be delivered from evil. The nurse brings out some reports; Griffin tells Jason they should talk.
Elizabeth leans over and tells Carly that Garvey just got out of surgery and has been moved to the 10th floor; she says she needs to tell Dante, but that might take her a while. Carly heads to the elevator. Jason calls Danny to tell him goodnight; he tells him Mommy is sleeping right now, but she’ll be fine. He sends kisses and says he loves him, then hangs up the phone. Griffin gets called back to the hospital; Hayden kisses him goodbye. She sits back down to look at her computer, and hears the door open again; she asks what he forgot. Her ex-husband says, “hello, Rachel.” From the camera’s view, we see Carly enter Garvey’s room; she tells him she has a year of nursing school and knows about Morphine and such… she says she hopes he isn’t in too much pain, as she pinches the IV cord and asks where her husband is. Sonny comes to (maybe) and sees someone standing before him; they are glowing (I think it’s Morgan).
