Sonny tells Michael that he and his
mother have split up; Michael asks if they are actually getting divorced. Sonny says he wouldn’t be surprised if she
is getting a lawyer right now; Michael tells him he is sorry, but he
understands and supports both of them.
Sonny asks Michael how he feels about Nelle staying in town; Michael
tells him he doesn’t have to worry about him.
Sonny says even though he doesn’t think he needs his protection, it
doesn’t stop him from wanting to protect him.
Michael tells his dad Nelle “screwed up,” which doesn’t absolve her;
he’s just putting it in context, but, he says, he won't ever get over what she did. Sonny
tells Michael he is a lot wiser than he ever was; he hugs him and leaves.
Laura tells Kevin that she has to leave town for a little
while; she tells him she has to help Tracy.
He’s shocked that she is going out of her way to help Tracy
Quartermaine; she assures him that she will be back and that they have a date
when she gets back. They kiss and she
leaves. Lulu goes to get dinner at the
dinner, and runs into Nelle; she asks if they can sit down and talk. Nelle mentions that she is there to pick up
cranberry scones for Charlotte; Lulu talks about how she didn’t even know that
Charlotte liked cranberry scones, and the talks about all the other things she
never knew because Valentine kept Charlotte from her, her entire life. Nelle looks moved. Lulu does a very good job at endearing Nellle to her, admitting
that she screwed up when she first met Charlotte. Nelle understands that she would do anything now to take it all
back; Lulu thanks her for talking with her and tells her good night.
Before leaving, Nelle asks if she could inquire into how
Michael is doing; Lulu tells her he is having a really hard time, and she hates
that he is going through all of this alone.
Nelle thanks her, and leaves.
She runs into her mom outside the diner; Laura tells her she is going
“gallivanting around the globe” for a little while, with Tracy. She tells her mom that she just ran into
Nelle and talked with her; she mentions Nelle asking about Michael, saying her
mom was right about her “having a thing for him.” Laura reminds her to be smart, she says this is the first step
and her daughter’s custody depends upon this. When Nelle gets home, and mentions to Valentin that she “ran into Lulu,”
he demands that she tell him everything that was said. She tells him it really seems like Lulu just
wanted to get to know her and make sure she’s okay; he tells her just to
remember that she is the opposition and should not be trusted. She says she’ll remember that; he gives her
a new set of keys, saying he just had the locks changed. As she looks at her key chain, her mind
drifts to a conversation with Michael, when he gave her a key chain; he is
thinking of that moment too.
Elizabeth asks Franco why now… she asks if this
proposal is really about him and her, or if it’s more about him and Jason. Franco does his best to convince her that he
wants to marry her because he loves her; he wants to be a permanent fixture in
her life and the lives of her children.
She says she loves him too, but she has to do her best to get along with
Jason; he tells her that he also wants to have a say about what happens with
Jake. She says she understands that,
but for now, she asks him to keep his distance from Jake. She tells him she loves him, and she’s not
ruling it out, but for right now, she needs to make things work with Jakes
father; when everything is all said and done, she says, they will have him to
thank for getting the ball rolling.
They kiss; Jason comes around the corner and tells her, when she gets a
chance, they need to talk about Jake.
Franco starts to leave; she tells Jason just a minute. She tells Franco, she didn’t say yes, but
she didn’t say no either; he smiles and says he understands. They kiss again and she returns to talk to
Jason. Jason tells her he might have
found a lead about the scarecrow; Liz says she might have a lead of her own
about whom can help them with Jake.
They go talk to Kevin, who recommends that Andre talk to Jake.
Sam calls
her mother; Alexis is confused when she answers and for some reason says Julian’s
name; this concerns Sam. Alexis admits
to Sam that she had been drinking earlier; but, she tells her, she went to a
meeting afterward and was just coming back from it when she called. She tells her that she had a visit from
Valentin, and he invited her to move into Wyndemere; she jokingly says she is
moving in with him right after she leaves there. She then tells Sam that she got a hang-up phone call before she
actually called her; that’s why she thought it was Julian. Sam looks up the number and it shows a
payphone, near the footbridge where Julian supposedly died; Alexis tells Sam
that means Julian really might be alive.
She tells Sam she is going home to sleep, but it’s obvious something
else is on her mind. Sam makes a call
to a gas station near the pay phone that called Alexis’ phone; she asks if they
happen to have surveillance cameras near the street. As Alexis sits down to read a book, she thinks she hears
something.
