Griffin ruminates about
how he has failed every test put before him; he tells Anna he doesn’t think he
can be this girl’s father. Anna says
maybe he should give her up. He asks if
she thinks he would be a bad father; she says no one knows until they are one,
and adds that giving her to someone who would love her and take care of her
wouldn’t be abandoning her. She goes on
to explain that she actually gave Robin up when she was a baby (after just a
few precious days with her), telling her story… how Robin only knew her as a
friend for five years. She tells him it
was the right decision for her, but she regrets every day that she missed being
with her. Charlotte comes out and
stands in the middle of the living room; Anna tells Griffin this is his chance
to find out what kind of a father he can be.
He sits down and asks Charlotte if she is having trouble sleeping; she
asks if her mom is back yet. He says
no, but tells her she asked him to tell her how much she loves her, and offers
to read her a bedtime story. He gets
her to sleep and Anna tells him he’s a natural.
Valerie asks Jordan if she heard from Curtis; she says, yeah, she
did… she recalls their heated conversation.
She warns Valerie not to trust Curtis, saying he will end up hurting
her. Curtis apologizes to Jason.
Apparently, this is Sonny’s office Curtis was snooping around… he says it was a
misunderstanding and tries to leave; Jason insists on knowing what he’s looking
for. Curtis says he was looking for
more evidence about the bomb, and offers what information he knows. He says the bomb was rigged to go off when
weight came off the seat; Jason says that means it was planted between the time
that Julian’s driver left it and Morgan got in it. Jason lets Curtis leave; Jordan shows up… she asks Jason if he
has any memory of one of Sonny’s connections; she hands him a file. She says the bomb has his signature all over
it; she begins questioning Jason, but he refuses to be interrogated and asks if
he needs a lawyer.
Sonny continues to
make apologies to Morgan; he says he can’t do this anymore, he’s tired of
failing everyone… he lifts the gun to his head. Robin calls out to him; she asks what he is doing there. He claims he just went there to think – she
avoids asking about the gun in his hand, as he tells her that he might be
dangerous. She says she thinks she’ll
stay, and starts to talk about their friendship with Stone; then she says Stone
wouldn’t forgive Sonny for bringing a gun up there. She says there’s no need for it; he says he could use it to end
Julian Jerome. She asks if he’s
thinking about that, or about putting an end to himself. She recalls being there, on that bridge,
after her diagnosis; she thought about jumping, and Jason stopped her. She points out that she almost give up
everything, her family and her future; Sonny tells her that killing himself
might be the right thing. She says
Morgan Stone Corinthos fought so hard to hang onto his life, he would be terribly
disappointed in Sonny, if he just gave up on his. Sonny asks her to leave and gives her his word that he won’t
shoot himself; she says his word means a lot to her and asks if it still means
something to him… he says yeah, and they hug.
Michael goes to talk to his mom; he tells her what Nelle said. They discuss whether or not either of them
think they can ever forgive Sonny; Michael says he’s not pressuring her because
she needs to do what’s right for her, but reminds her that she and Sonny are
the only ones that know what they are going through. She says Morgan is not even buried and she doesn’t know what the
future looks like; she tells him that its okay if he wants to forgive his dad
though, to be there for him and she tells him he needs to talk to somebody
about how he feels… he tells her that he feels like a bad brother. He tells his mom that the more he thinks
about it, the more he wonders if it is their fault Morgan is dead. Robin comes into the Metro Court and finds
her mother; she says she wanted to pay her respects to Carly (but Carly isn’t
there). Carly tells Michael that she
understands how hurt he is, and she knows that Sonny is hurting too; she tells
him he can’t blame himself.
Back on the
bridge, Sonny recalls Carly screaming about him, blaming him for Morgan’s
death; he pulls the gun back out, saying he needs to make this right for Morgan…
then puts it back in his holster.
