Nathan shows up at Claudette’s door; she tells him she is in trouble and he’s the only one that can help.  She tells him that she got involved with a dangerous man after they broke up; he is in prison now, which Nathan laughs about.  She tells him he got out and found her, and that’s why she came to town… plus she hoped that maybe they could rekindle things.  He asks what about Griffin; she swears she didn’t know he was there.  Nathan tells her she is not going to get any help from him; he explodes in anger, recalling all of her antics and telling her she can go get a restraining order, or ask someone else for help, and begins to leave.  She stops him, and tells him she has a daughter.

Griffin overhears Scotty on the phone, telling a reporter that he is sure Julian Jerome is going to be acquitted; Griffin questions why.   He introduces himself; Scotty tells him he needs to go talk to Sonny or Alexis to find out what happened in court.  Olivia confronts Alexis, saying that her actions in court may set Julian free.  Alexis tells her she doesn’t know what happened; she froze, and doesn’t know why.  She says it was like everything was in slow motion and she couldn’t comprehend anything; then she passed out and woke up in his arms.

Sonny tells Carly that Michael is staying at the Quatermaine’s for now; she says it’s probably best, so he can be close to Teddy.  They wonder who could be so heartless to murder Sabrina; scene flashes to Paul, sitting, lost in thought, still in the courtroom.  Dillon finds him and he tells him he feels bad about the trial.  Dillon tells him about Sabrina’s death (he acts surprised) and then tells him the hospital is closing down; he asks if he could reassure his mother he will do everything in his power to catch the killer.  Paul promises.  Ava visits Julian, back behind bars, as they await the jury’s decision; she tells him that she may have had something to do with Alexis’ difficulty on the stand today, and wants him to remember that she was there for him.  He then asks her if she had anything to do with Sabrina’s death; she says she was going to ask him the same thing.  He worries that her death may make him look even guiltier.  The jury comes back with their decision.

Carly asks Sonny to promise her, if Julian is found not guilty and released, that he will not retaliate.  Julian is found not guilty of “solicitation,” not guilty of “theft of evidence,” not guilty of “obstruction of justice” and not guilty of “conspiracy to commit murder” (of Duke Lavery), not guilty of “murder in the first degree” (of Carlos Rivera) and not guilty of “attempted murder” (of Alexis).  Alexis begins to cry; Olivia screams at Julian, calling him a son of a bitch.  Alexis, sobbing, leaves the courtroom and tells Olivia she needs to be alone; Scotty rejoices in his victory.  Paul leaves, saying he needs to process what just happened.

Ava hugs her brother, and whispers in his ear, “you owe me.”  Sonny stares at Julian, with obvious hatred.  Alexis, sitting at the bar, goes over her testimony, repeating what she knew she needed to say, and wondering why she couldn’t say it on the stand.  Ava meets Paul outside the courthouse, and tells him there is a letter in someone else’s possession that will go to the authorities, if she should meet with any ‘accident.’  Then she questions how he could kill complete strangers the way he has; he tells her she will never understand… but he gets family protecting family.  She tells him he should get out of town while he still can, and just stop the killing; she leaves.  Griffin prays for understanding, and for mercy toward his enemies, saying he knows there will be justice in the end.
