This episode begins with Scott Baldwin sitting at a table and Lucy coming to meet him; she brags about being an independent woman and asks what he wants.  He claims only dinner; but she doesn’t believe it and asks again what he wants and how much she’ll regret giving in.  He tells her he needs a job; wants to work for Coco cosmetics.  She says no; their business deals always end in disaster… besides, she’s broke.  Says her broker, Raymon Berlin, took off with all her cash.  They happen to see Hayden’s mother sitting at the bar just then, and ask her where her husband is and where he “stashed all the cash” but she claims to know nothing.  Lucy introduces herself, and introduces Scotty as her attorney; so I guess he got the job after all (for no pay likely, but still).

Franco comes to see Elizabeth, bringing her an envelope – there is a check inside for the kids’ summer camp (enough for all three kids).  He tells her this is his way of ‘checking’ with her before doing something, saying that this represents growth; she smiles.  Hayden comes to see Finn; he tells her he’s expecting company.  She asks him point blank if he is a drug addict; he gets very angry and tells her he knows about the side effects of the medication and he knows what he is doing.  Says she is the one who insisted on getting involved, and now he is asking her to stay out of his business again.  She tells him she wants to believe him; begs him to tell her he is someone she can believe in.  He tells her she is too optimistic and that’s a problem, because people fail you… they screw up and disappoint you every time; but he lets her know he will not ever lie to her.

Sonny comes to see him.  He tells Finn that he wants him to take over Julian’s case, and to make sure he has a speed recovery so he can make it to his arraignment; in return he will fly him to a country where he can get his “zen-zen” and will find a friendly customs agent to bring it back.  The man at the door of the Quartermaine mansion says, “Hello Sabrina,” and she smiles, calling him Jose.  He says he goes by Joe now, and asks to come in.  When Michael comes home, Sabrina introduces him as Carlos’ brother, a doctor; pediatric surgeon.  (Looks like the same actor, with no accent, all cleaned up.)  Says they were estranged and he regrets that; wants to get to know his nephew and Sabrina.

Rick sees Elizabeth talking to Franco, and seems bothered by it; is miffed when she declines he offer for a cup of coffee.  He is even more annoyed when she calls Franco and makes a date for tomorrow night.  Franco goes to see his dad, and offers to buy dinner – mentions that he has $6000 burning a hole in his pocket; when he tells him he got it from Heather, Hayden’s mom looks horrified (the name echos in her head) and she passes out, falling off her chair to the floor.  Paramedics happen to be nearby; apparently she had a panic attack.  Scotty mentions that Franco is a suspect for those murders at the hospital; suggests he save that money cause he might need it for an attorney.  Carly, still trying to find Jos’ donor, meets with a girl named Wendy, who was trying to pull a scam.  Hayden’s mother reveals (to us, but not to Hayden) that Elizabeth’s father is her biological dad.
