Franco goes to visit his
mother, Heather, at the mental hospital; he asks her what she thinks of
Elizabeth Weber… she was married to her father at one time, after all. ‘Steven Lars’ is her older brother, I
believe. Franco explains that he and
Elizabeth work together… and although they have a messy history (seeing as how
he kidnapped her son once), he likes her, and likes working with her boy. He asks about Elizabeth’s dad. Heather doesn’t tell him much; then she asks
if he is broke… tells him she has money.
Says a man made her a deal she couldn’t refuse.
Julian tells Nina that Alexis is pregnant;
slightly irritated, she wishes him well.
She tells him trying to have a baby didn’t fix things for her and
Franco, but whatever. The old doc tells
Elizabeth that he sure hates to see old people suffer; he is weird – I think
he’s the killer. Anna tells Alexis to
tell Julian she wants him back; to use his ego against him. This time, she is going to wear a wire,
instead of trying to record him with her phone; they will be listening closely
and will stay nearby. T.J. comes to
visit his mom at her office; asks why she didn’t tell him that Shaun was really
his dad…why she is still lying to him.
She says she would do it again…swears she did it for his sake. Thomas was the only father he ever knew;
things were complicated – as you get older, life gets harder, she tells
him. He gets angry, calls her a liar
and leaves frustrated. His uncle,
Curtis, frustrates him too.
Alexis
tells Anna that she owes her an apology; she really thought Julian got out of
the mob, but she married him knowing about Duke. She says she rationalized, justified things…she’s truly sorry and
would change things if she could. Anna
just says, “wear the wire.” As Julian tells
Nina, one word, one gesture, he’d go back to Alexis in a minute, she calls and
asks him to come back to talk, tomorrow.
Hayden gets to Finn just in time; he is too weak to inject himself, so
she has to do it for him (through the jail bars, no guard in sight…
right). She promises to come back in
the morning to give him his next does.
He thanks her and they become unlikely friends. The ornery old doctor tells Elizabeth to be
sure everyone knows this certain patient has a DNR on file – then orders her to
leave the room. When she re-enters the
room, the patient has no pulse and no respiration.
