Stella takes Mike home; she tells him she promised Milo she would stay with him.  He tells her that won’t work; he says he has to catch the last bus home or his parents are going to be worried sick.  He snaps out of it, and remembers Yvonne; she tells Mike that Marcus made a huge sacrifice for her… he gave her up.  Curtis talks with Marcus, and apologizes for his auntie; Marcus tells him that Stella did nothing wrong.  He says Stella is one of the best; he says he loved her and would have sacrificed anything to be with her.  Curtis asks what went wrong; he says she broke things off to go help his mother after his father died.  He says he met Yvonne soon after that and fell madly in love; he said Stella was more of an unanswered question than a broken heart.  He was actually grateful to her; Mike asks Stella as well.  She tells him she didn’t want Marcus to have any regrets, so she broke things off; Mike asks who they are talking about.  She says it doesn’t matter.  Sonny, Carly and Jos get home; Mike says goodnight.  They tell Stella that Mike has been calling Jos, Mary… someone from his childhood, they think.  Sonny realizes that his father is better off at the facility than at home now; Carly says he remembers more there, and is happier.  They decide to let him go.  Stella goes to see Curtis; he tells her she just missed Marcus.  She tells him she is afraid the next time she sees Mike, he may not know who she is at all.

Franco brings Aiden and Jake home; Aiden asks if they can bake cupcakes.  Jake says their mom would be mad when she gets home if they are still awake; Franco says he will take responsibility.  The cupcakes turn out awesome; Aiden decorates them with flowers.  Franco says he should take those to school too with the cookies for the bake sale tomorrow; Aiden gets excited.  When Liz comes home, Jake tells her that he doesn’t think Aiden should take the cupcakes… he says Charlotte wasn’t the only one picking on him at school.  In fact, he says, it’s gotten worse; he shows them a message on Aiden’s tablet… the kids are calling him Gayden.  Franco and Liz talk about the possibility that Aiden might grow up gay; they agree it shouldn’t be a big deal… they will let Aiden decide who he wants to be and support him regardless.  Awesome.

Wednesday, January 23, 2019 (S56E200): What Are the Chances? *Sam tries desperately to find Jason

Anna and Finn wonder what the odds are of two people being struck by the same rare disease that causes blindness; Finn asks how well she knows Kevin Collins.  “Kevin" wakes up, screaming "don't go, Lulu."  Ava asks him what that meant; he says he guesses it is just his concern for her.  He asks how Lulu is doing; Ava says she is still alive.  She says she might be able to help the police when she comes to; “Kevin” says they can only hope.  Finn says if it is the same disease Anna contracted, they will know when the results come back from the lab, and then they have another piece of the puzzle.  Charlotte asks her father why her mother isn’t coming to get her; Valentin tells Charlotte her mother has been hurt.  Jordan gives Laura an update; she asks how she wants her to handle the press.  Laura says to stick with the original plan; she says she will leave the statement up to Jordan, and asks how they are going to catch this guy.  Charlotte tells her pappa she needs to see her mom; she says she is her good luck charm and begs him to take her to the hospital. He agrees to take her; she asks Nina if she is going to come.  Nina says she will just see her at home; Charlotte tells Nina she is glad her home is with them again.  Jordan tells Laura about the blood trail, and the shoe print; she says the killer may have not realized she was still alive, or she may have injured him… she says the hospital is on the lookout.

Finn and Anna come into Kevin’s room; Finn asks if they can asks some questions… he asks if Kevin has ever worked for the WSB... Anna adds, or the DVX.  Finn looks at his eyes; he asks what he was doing when the headache struck.  “Kevin” says, "nothing out of the ordinary.”  We see a flash of the attempted murder, and the onset of the headache.  Ava asks them to leave, saying the questions are stressing him; Finn says he will let him know when he has any results.  “Kevin" asks Ava to bring him an herbal tea so he can sleep; he also asks her to get that information about Lulu.  She says sure and leaves the room; he crawls off the bed and searches his jacket pockets.  Ava finds him on the floor when she comes back and asks if he is alright; he has Lulu’s license in his hands.  He claims he was looking for the remote, to get some news on Lulu.  Laura is stunned when Jordan tells her that Lulu’s driver’s license is also missing.  Jordan says they are waiting to talk to the last person Lulu spoke with before her attack; Laura asks whom that is.  Jordan tells her, Lulu had spoken with Peter on the phone.  Finn and Anna see Laura; Anna hugs her.  Sonny asks Anna if she happens to know where her son is right now.  Laura sees Charlotte and tells her that she can’t see Lulu right now; she says she is fighting right now, to get better, and they have to wait.

Maxie goes to talk to Nathan at his grave; she says she is learning how to stand on her own two feet again, and to let new people into her life.  She admits getting closer to his brother, reassuring him that he is a really good person inside; she says she wouldn’t mind getting to know him better, but keeps coming up with reasons not to.  She says it scares her to let someone else in; Peter shows up with a handkerchief for her tears.  Maxie thanks him; he tells her that Nathan would want happiness for her, whatever that means.  She tells Peter she can’t hear him any more; Peter says he hopes it’s not a bad thing.  Nina shows up and tells Maxie about Lulu.  She stays to talk to Nathan; Peter offers to take Maxie to the hospital to see Lulu.  Jordan asks him about his whereabouts for the last four hours; she says she needs an account of his phone conversation with Lulu too.  Charlotte gives Laura the scones she brought for Lulu; Valentin takes her home.  Peter tells Jordan he had told Lulu that he wasn’t going to publish her article; Maxie stands up for Peter.  The doctor comes out to tell Laura that Lulu should make a full recovery; Finn tells “Kevin” and Ava the news.  “Kevin” says that’s wonderful.Jason falls clear through the floor of the room above the catacombs; he lands on a ledge.  Sam can no longer see him; she calls out to him.  He sits up and looks around; he calls up to her… no answer.  He tries to see if there is another way out.  He finds a grate, with toilet paper and other debris stuck to it; he tries to pull it out.  The rescue workers try to figure out how to get down to Jason; they tell Sam it is going to take a detailed search… the tunnels go all over under Port Charles.  Sam calls Spenelli.

Tuesday, January 22, 2019 (S56E199): The Catacombs *Oscar and Jos are stuck in the catacombs; Alexis gets to know Shilo

Everyone is looking for Jos and Oscar; Carly breaks the news to Sam and Jason about Lulu being stabbed in her office.  They discuss where the kids might have entered the catacombs; Sam says she knows a way in that Jos might know about too.  They head that way.  Oscar, having passed out for a while, wakes up.  Jos tells him she has tried the cell phone, but there is no service where they are.  Oscar wants to try to climb out, but Jos worries he might have another seizure and fall; he suggests she go for help then.  Jos argues that she doesn’t want to leave him, but he insists.  As she scurries up the wooden ladder, telling him he better not die on her while she’s gone, a rung pulls loose and she falls to the ground.  She gets up and says she will try again, but now Oscar doesn’t want her to go; suddenly they hear Carly.  She tells them they will get her out; Chase calls in to report that Carly, Drew, Sam and Jason are “no longer on the scene."  Drew and Jason climb down; the floor moves when Jason steps on it.  Drew helps Oscar up the ladder first, then Jason offers to help Jos… Drew takes Oscar to the hospital.  Jos gets up; she thanks Jason for rescuing him.  He says all he did was give her a boost; the ladder breaks and he falls.

Brad shows up at Charlie’s; Julian holds Wiley.  Lucas walks in with Michael; he asks Brad what’s going on here.  Lucas asks Michael to hold Wiley for a minute and says he and Brad need to talk; Julian asks Michael how he got the privilege of time with Wiley.  Michael says he didn’t hold a knife to anyone's throat; Julian tries to bash Sonny but Michael tells him he doesn’t think they should be talking.  Willow comes in and sees Michael; he introduces her to his godson, Wiley.  Lucas asks Brad what he is thinking; he says he has considered letting Julian into his life again, but not to be involved with Wiley.  He reminds Brad that they promised the birth mother; Brad says she lost her rights after the window closed… they owe her nothing.  Lucas says he still wants to respect her wishes.  Michael offers to let Willow shake Wiley’s hand.  She tells him she needs to go grade papers.

Alexis confronts Shilo; she tells him that she has heard a lot about him.  He invites her to sit down with him; she asks if he knew Sam was Kristina’s sister before inviting Kristina to live with them.  He says he did not.  She asks him to tell her his story, from the beginning; he tells her about being a teenager, receiving a letter from his dad about marrying some young woman named “Cheryl.”  He says they were only married for about six months before she cleaned out his bank account and disappeared; Alexis says he must despise Sam for that… he says, on the contrary, she saved his life.  He tells her how he ended up in the military and in the gun fight, where Drew saved him… he says it was Sam that put him on that path.  He says it was a transformational experience for him, forcing him to re-evaluate his life and decide what to do with the new one he’d been given.  He swears it was Sam who put all the pieces together; he says it seems, they all just fell into place, where they should.  She thanks him for his time; he says it was the most painless cross-examination he’s ever had.

Apologies...4-7-19

Monday, January 21, 2019 (S56E198): Another Victim

“Kevin” steps in the door of Lulu’s office; she thanks him for coming to meet with her.  He tells her it is his pleasure.  She asks him if he remembers how many people Ryan killed; he immediately says “nine.”  She looks confused; she asks why the reports only indicate seven… he says the other murders were never confirmed.  She starts reading off the names listed in the police report; “Kevin” starts repeating them with her.  She strangely thinks nothing of the fact that he knows the names of all the victims so well; he says two names that are not on the report. She asks if Ryan confessed to killing these other people to him – and if so, why he never told the police.  He says it would have just been hearsay, coming from him.  He steps forward and sees her wallet on the desk; he opens it and takes out her driver’s license (practically in front of her face).  He sticks it in his pocket; he pulls out the pocket-knife and gets it ready, all while Lulu pays no attention.  He tells her she is blind; he says the answer is standing right in front of her… literally, right in front of her, and she doesn’t even see it.  He stabs her.  He sits down to clean off his knife; she stands up, leaving a bloody handprint on her desk.  He sees her and shakes his head; “now I have to do it all over again,” he says.  He starts walking toward Lulu, gets a sudden headache, and passes out on the floor.  Lulu staggers past him and out the door.

Laura wonders why Lulu is late getting to the book signing; she picks up her phone to call.  Just at that moment, Lulu stumbles off of the elevator.  She walks over to her mother, and falls on the floor.  Carly calls for an ambulance; Lucy and Ava sit and talk about Kevin… Lucy tells Ava she could never know him as well as she does; she says he could never be with someone like her because he would never hurt anyone, or support anyone who does.  “Kevin” wakes up, gets to his feet and realizes he can’t see; he feels his way out into the hallway and to the elevator door.  He pushes the button and gets on when the doors open.

Lulu is taken to surgery immediately; they tell Laura that they don’t know if she will make it.  When “Kevin” steps out of the elevator, Ava sees him; he tells her he cannot see… she takes him to the hospital.  He is taken to a room; he asks her to go check on Lulu, claiming he heard she had been stabbed.  He says, he would hate for Laura to suffer the same thing Ava had to by losing her daughter; he says he would feel better to know she was going to make it.  Ava says she is the last person Laura would want to talk to about her daughter; he asks her to go anyway.  She does.Jordan and Curtis go to check out Lulu’s office; they find a bloody footprint outside of the door, and the knife on the floor.  They say the killer is starting to make mistakes; all they have to do is find that shoe and they have found the killer.  “Kevin’s” shoes are in a hospital bag on the bed next to him; Ava offers to take them home and bring him some slippers.  He thanks her; she takes the bag and leaves.
